The Ultimate Wilderness Ride

Prepare yourself for Burnaaga – The Goanna Trail, an epic, exposed wilderness adventure starting at the Mt Wandera Summit and finishing right in Mogo Town. Rated blue (verging on black in two key sections: the start of the trail and the challenging granite rock section), this trail is recommended exclusively for highly experienced gravity and adventure riders.

Shuttle Details and Departure Points

  • Convenient Pick-Up: Shuttles depart from outside the Ride Mogo bike shop in Central Mogo (14 Charles Street, Mogo) for the classic 28 km ride.
  • The Extended Route: Opt for the Foxdog Distillery departure to add an extra 10+ km to your ride. Please note: This option departs 15 minutes earlier than the standard shuttle.
  • Group Requirements: Shuttles run with a minimum of 6 passengers and a maximum of 10. For last-minute weekday bookings, please check availability prior to booking to ensure minimum numbers are met.

Essential Trail Preparation

  • Safety Gear & Spares: You must carry spare parts, protective gear, and a basic first aid kit (snake bandages are highly recommended). 🐍
  • Hydration: Ensure you carry enough water and hydration for the entire journey back to Mogo.
  • Emergency Readiness: Mogo Trails utilises the ‘These three words’ system for emergency services. Please download the Emergency Plus app on your phone prior to departure.
  • Waiver Requirement: It is essential to complete your waiver form online and show the driver confirmation before boarding. Passengers cannot board the vehicle until the signed waiver is verified.
  • Two-Way Traffic: Be alert! The trail is two-way from the bottom of the Snake Track (the junction of Maulbrooks Road and Sandy Pinch Road) for the final 12 km into Mogo.
