Make a day of it! Pair your museum visit with Whiteman Park’s beautiful picnic spots, walking trails, and nearby Swan Valley wineries.

Opening Hours: Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (364 days a year, closed Christmas Day).
Duration: We recommend allowing 1 to 2 hours to fully explore the museum.
Flexible Entry: Please note that while your ticket booking time may display as 10:00 am, you are welcome to visit us at any time on your selected date between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

The museum consists of two large buildings packed with cars, motorcycles, antique kids' pedal cars, models, parts and other memorabilia.  The place is spic-n-span clean with just enough hint of motor oil that you know you are in a huge garage.  They've got a lot of Australian-made cars but also a number of American and Asian made also.  The staff is very friendly as well.  In fact, my wife had emailed them well before opening, asking why on-line ticket sales seemed to be restricted; she got a fast response saying that they don't like to sell tickets too late in the day because then if guests arrive very late they don't get to see everything before closing.  We met the volunteer who had corresponded with my wife..very friendly guy and very motivated towards ensuring all visitors have a great experience.  We really enjoyed our time here.

If you have anyone not particularly interested in motors, park them next door in the cafe with a big bit of cake and fill your boots or if your American- trunk. My favourite the unrestored MG Magnet against the wall and the MK1 Cortina. The miniature car collection is pretty amazing too.

The collection is immaculate, showcasing an incredible range of vehicles that span every era of motoring history. From early classics to modern-day supercars, each exhibit is immaculately presented and meticulously maintained.



One of the undeniable highlights was seeing Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 race-winning car up close. The line-up of classic motorbikes, having owned tsome of the same bikes displayed many years ago itceas great to see them in such great condition. The museum’s extensive model car collection deserves special mention, it’s an extraordinary assembly, valued at over one million AUD. 



The experience was further enhanced by the volunteer staff, with their knowledge, enthusiasm and their genuine hospitality made every visitor feel welcome.



In every sense, the WA Car Museum is a true celebration of automotive history and culture. It is well worth a visit for anyone with even a passing interest in cars, engineering, or craftsmanship. An exceptional experience that captures the spirit of motoring through the ages.

Lots of memories to revisit.

If you like car museums and are in Perth, make sure you visit this place in Whitman park. My son and I went on 25th October 2024 while on a trip to Perth. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. So many wonderful cars, motor bikes and even race cars. They even had the same model of my first car. We loved it.
