North Stradbroke Island Day Trip from Brisbane – Wildlife & Beaches
Duration:
Operated By:
Embark on an unforgettable day trip to North Stradbroke Island — the world’s second-largest sand island. Known affectionately as “Straddie,” this island paradise is home to pristine beaches, dramatic coastal cliffs, and an abundance of Australian wildlife.
Your small-group adventure begins with a scenic ferry crossing from Brisbane across Moreton Bay. Relax and enjoy the views — you might even spot dolphins or sea birds along the way.
Your day includes:
Point Lookout Gorge Walk
Stroll along Straddie’s most iconic coastal trail with spectacular ocean views and rugged cliffs. Keep watch for dolphins, turtles, sea eagles, and wallabies — and from June to October, migrating humpback whales.
Picnic with a View
Take a break and enjoy lunch with incredible island scenery. You can bring your own picnic or purchase from local cafés.
Beach Free Time
Relax on the sand, take a refreshing swim, or join a friendly beach game. We provide balls, rackets, and frisbees for a bit of fun in the sun!
Amity Point – Hidden Beach & Koala Spotting
Discover the charm of Amity Point, where koalas often rest in the gum trees and dolphins can be seen close to shore. It’s a peaceful spot to unwind before the journey home.
Sunset Moment
End the day beautifully with a complimentary drink on the beach as the sun sets over the water.
Transport & Ferry Crossing Included
Your round-trip includes comfortable transport from Brisbane and the ferry crossing — so you can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the island.
Our “Straddie Tour” is our signature experience — a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and wildlife encounters. We know the island inside out and can’t wait to share its beauty with you.

Jack was an awesome host and from the moment he picked us up until the time he dropped us off we couldn’t have asked for a better service.
We loved everything from the ferry trip, to the wildlife, to the beach and the sunset.
We saw whales, dolphins, turtles, kookaburras, wallabies, ospreys, kites, eagles, kangaroos and koalas.
The beach was wonderful and it was wonderful to swim in the ocean.
We saw many whales, turtles, tuna, a Manta Ray, Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Kookaburras, eagles and other birds of prey, Pelicans and other native birds. There were impressive views throughout.
We left with a far better understanding of the island, its people and history and of course Australian nature.
Highly recommended!
Big thanks to the tourguide, he did his best to make it an incredible experience!
Also I liked, that we could observe animals while keeping some distance to them, so we don't disturb the wildlife!
I can really recomend this tour and already shared with some friends!
