Very good dive center. All personel is super friendly and were very helpful. The weather was not that good unfortunately but we still did some very nice dives. Wave break island has surprisingly many species of fish, lot’s of stonefish, eels, puffers, lionfish and more. We saw dolphins pass through but just missed them on the dive. My girlfriend followed the open water course, and there was lot’s of opportunities to dive together. The last fun dive of the course can be done fully together. The instructors take their work seriously and are very friendly! If things go too fast for you, just tell the instructors, but ofcourse be prepared for the course (basic swimming skills).

I recently completed my Open Water Diving certification and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the training was professional, thorough, and a lot of fun. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made sure I felt safe and confident every step of the way.

The course was well-structured, combining clear theory sessions with hands-on pool practice before heading out into open water. Each dive built on the last, and by the end I felt completely prepared and excited to explore the underwater world on my own.

What really stood out was the attention to detail and the encouragement from the team—they not only taught the skills but also shared their passion for diving, which made the whole journey even more inspiring. The equipment was in excellent condition, the dive sites were stunning, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and supportive.

I highly recommend this course to anyone thinking of getting certified. It’s an incredible feeling to breathe underwater for the first time, and thanks to this team I now feel confident and eager to continue my diving adventures!

Awful customer service with no refunds even if you don't begin the course I registered to complete an Open Water Diving Licence with them. On Day 1 they gave us very little preamble instruction, didn't even explain how to breath through the regulator properly, but strapped us in weights and got us to jump in the ocean immediately.
I, unfortunately, had a panic attack as I was unused to the weights, and didn't know how to breath through the regulator. I was asked multiple times to get in the water while I was actively hyperventilating. As I was sitting on the boat trying to calm my breathing so it would be safe enough to get in the water, my equipment was given to another student. With my breathing under control, I was calm and ready to get in the water but I no longer had any equipment and had to wait on the boat while everyone else completed the training.
I asked the men on the boat if I would get another chance to get in the water and they gave me a noncommittal response. When my instructor finally returned to the boat, I asked him if I would get another chance to complete the training for this very first dive on the next day of the course, he told me I needed to reschedule. This was the first time it was indicated that my entire three-day course was cancelled because I wouldn't get in the water when I was hyperventilating, an action that I had deemed the safest course of action.
Disappointed but understanding, I tried to explain to the customer service representative that I didn't want to get in the water while I was hyperventilating because it was unsafe to do so, that I was actively engaging in techniques to calm my breathing so I could continue the course, but that my equipment had been given to another student while I was doing so. I asked if it was possible for me to complete the initial dive on Day 2 since my equipment was used to aid another student on Day 1. I was refused and told I needed to reschedule.
I tried to explain that I was moving overseas at the end of the month and that I didn't have time to reschedule. I asked for a refund since I didn't even get the opportunity to begin my Day 1 training, but was again refused under the assertion that it was a change of mind. I never changed my mind, I asked three different times if I could get in the water to complete my training but at that point my equipment was being used to help another student. I tried explaining that this wasn't a change of mind that my equipment was removed and there was nothing I could do. So I paid a total of $545 to sit on a boat for a few hours.
The customer service was horrendous and the representative was so belittling. Even if I had the time to reschedule with this company, I wouldn't because it was an awful experience with insufficient instruction given.
If I could rate them zero stars I would.

Best dive company on the Gold Coast!! I did my open water in 2022 and just came back for my advanced and it’s as great as I remember!

The staff are so kind and thoughtful and really make you feel comfortable! My instructor Tommo was amazing and really helped me step up my diving. Skipper Johny was super kind too and great with the guests.

The admin team were also super helpful with communication when I made an error with my booking, so special out to Rhonda for making my day with her help!

Already put a deposit down on my next course and looking forward to diving with them in the future! Definitely recommend:)

These guys were great. Super professional and friendly, we had a great time doing our open water course. Adam, our instructor, was excellent. I had such a wonderful time! The crew was incredibly friendly and made everything so enjoyable. It was my first experience, and I loved every moment of it. Check water temperature and water visible before you go 24 hours. Not as expected. Water was super cold even with wet suit, water was not clear, too many people in the same location so not a private tour at all. They should notify you of these details instead of simply taking your money with no cancelation same day.

My 13-year-old son was enrolled in the PADI Open Water course at the Queensland Scuba Diving Company in June 2024. We submitted a medical self-declaration, which contains the participant's height and weight, several weeks before the course was due to start. When we turned up for the first day of the course, they didn't have a wetsuit for him in the right size, which was adapted to the water temperature at this time of year. He was therefore equipped with no less than three thin wetsuits, which both hindered his movements and did not help him keep warm either.
The company does not have a pool where you carry out technical exercises etc., everything happens in the sea. The result of the lack of equipment was that my son had to cancel his training on the first day, because he was unable to keep warm.

The instructors were quick to claim that this was not their fault, as they had never experienced this before. They also blamed the company's office staff, who had not notified them of my son's size. And come up with all the other crappy excuses. It was topped off when they offered him to start the course again the next day, for an additional charge of AUD 120! The grace of audacity!

We obviously did not accept this, not only is it downright rude, but there was nothing to say that neither the water temperature should change nor that they should have better equipment in place the next day.

I of course sent a sharp message to the company that afternoon, and in their defense they have refunded the entire course fee. But they ruined the opportunity for my son to become a certified diver while we were in Australia.

I have been an active diver for 25 years, and participated in a number of courses and trips with various diving companies. I have never experienced anyone as negligent and unprofessional as the Queensland Scuba Diving Company. Recommend everyone steer clear of these. There are multiple companies offering better experiences.

I did the open water certification course with QSDC and it was absolutely incredible!! My only regret is not doing it sooner. All staff I interacted with were kind and helpful, and their passion for what they do is so clear. Maroo (I am definitely spelling that wrong I am so sorry!) and Laura were our instructors and they are both excellent, if I could give more stars I would! Because it's winter we were just a small group, I'd recommend doing it in water because of this. We worked in groups of 2 or 3 + the instructor and it was such a wonderful experience. The only con was the weather but that is not anything they can control and I am happy to brave the cold for a lower instructor/student ratio. If you're on the fence about doing a course or dive with QSDC do it!! Although the rain and wind was a little unpleasant we also got a beautiful rainbow :)

Thanks to our instructor Laura, patient and professional, took good care of me and my 2 sons. We achieved 12 meters on the 3rd day. when you got equalisation and floated under the sea, you would know what freedom means! What an amazing experience!

I did my open water certification here while on working holiday and I was amazed by the service I got from Laura and the rest of the team! Laura was super fun and taught everything super clearly! I’m happy to say this was an excellent experience and I’m super thankful for it all! 10 STARS if I could!!!

My experience with Qld Scuba Diving was exceptional due to my incredible instructor Laura. She is highly professional and an expert Scuba Diver Instructor.
Scuba Diving didn’t come naturally for me being my very first time that I had ever Scuba Dived. The conditions unfortunately were horrible also for my first 2 days which made it extra challenging for me to the point I wanted to pull out and quit the course. It was Laura’s professionalism, patience and knowledge that helped me achieve confidence and learn to enjoy breathing and taking in all the beauty of what’s hidden under the ocean. Our final day was pristine and the most magnificent feeling of being comfortable and confident 14 metres under the ocean. The scenery was spectacular and beautiful. I am so grateful to Laura for being so patient and kind to me over the past 3 days and I am now excited and absolutely pumped to continue more diving.
One piece of feedback I could offer to the team would be to cover a little more theory on the first day prior to getting in the water as I feel this may assist in preparing for what to expect when you get to the dive site day 1.

The Open Water Dive course was better than I anticipated. Run very efficiently and smoothly. All of the instructors (especially Laura and Frani) are very knowledgeable and friendly. I could not fault the course or the team. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back to do further qualifications!!

Horrible experience. The instructor Francisca has not introduced herself or made the experience fun. If you have done diving before I recommend that you do not do it here, there are places that take you to the open sea. Here you will be taken to a beach and you will spin in circles on the shore. We only went down 6 meters and saw nothing. The worst $130 invested of my life.

I got my open water diving license with these guys. The course runs across 3 days and they were very accommodating when I needed to split the days. Ambro was my instructor for the first 2 days and then we had Laura for the 3rd. Both were amazing. So helpful and friendly and really made you feel welcome. Everything is really well organised as there are a few different groups out at the same time for different things. It was impressive. Diving must do something to your dopamine levels as every member of staff is so happy. It, and them, will leave you feeling great. Highly recommend.

QLD scuba diving Company is good Actually the diving was canceled twice due to bad weather conditions. I liked that QLD scuba diving Company’s safety first policy and communicated with me very well.
On the other hand, it was very difficult to reach out TripAdvisor for refund request that I wasn’t happy about it.

I got my dive master license there.
As you get a dive master license it is adviced that you pick a dive center that you are familiar with as you are not only do the training but also part of the employee there.

But I just Google and decided to go there. I'm glad that I pick there as all the staff there are very friendly and nice especially my mentor Tomo.

Learnt a lot of things throughout the process and it is always different experiences when we go out the sea although we always dive in the same spot. But the view under always different.

Great place to get your license or try the discovery scuba diving.

Their Discover Scuba Diving session was an incredible first diving experience! At not many other places can your very first time with SCUBA be in the gorgeous Pacific waters and involve meeting sea creatures in their natural habitat. The instructors were lovely and I felt safe the whole time. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to try out diving or just for an unforgettable way to experience the Queensland beaches on vacation.

unhelpful and boring we were supposed to be picked up at 7.30 at our hostel. At 7.45, they told me to order a uber, and to hurry because « we were late ».
Nothing to see there, no colors, few fishes but nothing interesting.

I went on the Wonders of the Gold Coast double dive package, and I have to say this was amongst the best diving centres I've encountered. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and they made sure everyone had the best day possible. They created a fun, relaxing environment. Oscar and Riane, out dive guides, were excellent, as well as every other staff member I spoke to! Really recommend, thanks guys

Our second time with these guys & we highly recommend them for safety and lots of good time, even for less experienced swimmers. The tour runs for about 3 hours from midday to early afternoon. Very accommodating and Steve makes a mean cup of hot choco! Congrats and well done guys.

Amazing diving experience It was an amazing experience! Perfect for sea diving beginners. The price included induction, diving gear, instructor training and free pickup. It was absolutely beautiful in the ocean and will come back for premium diving next time.

A lovely experience with friendly staff, they made sure we had a good time even whilst others in our group where struggling.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of fish around us and we even saw an eel getting fed by the instructor.

They offers an outstanding diving experience for both beginner and experienced divers. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the equipment is in decent condition. They made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. However, the diving sites may not offer as much marine life as advertised. Overall, while the experience is okay, it may not be the best option for those looking for a wide variety of marine life during their dive.

What an amazing experience, I wish there were more stars to give! Our group of 4 had never scuba dived before and were all nervous going into this! Thank you to our instructor Loli for making this experience so enjoyable, we had an absolute blast! This experience is a must for anyone on Holiday on the Gold Coast!!

The staff were all friendly and helpful given there were about 50 people, it was a bit crowded on board with gear spread out for diving. About a third of us were only snorkeling, to be honest I felt the snorkel operation was second to the divers who were putting in hours for their diving certifications. We had to sit with their gear under our legs and all around us. Once we were underway it took about 20minutes to arrive at a small beach section with a jetty of rock wall on one side. Here is where a variety of fish hang out, they were anxious for food that some snorkelers were given to bring the fish up close. Our 9 year old grandson enjoyed that part as well as wearing a wet suit and proper snorkel and mask. On this day the water was cloudy, stirred up from the areas many jet ski, power boats and many people doing a variety of water sports close by, there are not any reefs here of course, some brown rock and sand.
The people that were just snorkeling could choose to hang out either in the water or on the boat waiting for the divers to complete training. Although we enjoyed the staff and fellow water enthusiast I would probably make the effort to go to the Barrier Reef instead where there are numerous snorkeling spots with amazing reef fish varieties. Although I can understand why a business would join these two activities, diving and snorkeling, I want to suggest that it was a bit chaotic with both activities underway signing forms, different instructors instructing here and there. Not really the family outing we were looking forward to but we made the best of it. I am not saying in anyway that the instructors or the business is not doing what they should be, only that for us who were just snorkeling the whole thing wasn’t organized very well to give the best experience.

It was an amazing learning and diving experience for me. My instructor Steve is very supportive . I have learned so much from him and I feel very confident to go under the water with him. Other instructors on the boat are also very supportive, such as Adam. They always make sure if I am ok. My diving buddy is also very nice and we help each other out. It is an unforgettable diving experience and I would definitely come back to do my advanced level diving here!

We booked a private dive and snorkeling trip for 15 people. The focus on safety was excellent, specifically for the scuba diving. Although the dives were in fairly shallow water, but appreciate the rigor. The boat was very basic as was the service. The cost of the tour was high for the quality of the boat. For a private tour, I would have expected the crew to pay attention to things like serving hot chocolate when people got out of the water (it was freezing). I would not book a private experience in future because the quality is not there. The scuba instruction was very thorough and focus on safety excellent.

Amazing dive team and shop! Completed my Open Water dives while on vacation in Oz, and booking/communication was easy and efficient. Was able to complete my dives with Tomo, and he is phenomenal! He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and able to help improve my diving. Will definitely be back my next time in Australia.

First trip to goldcoast and started our holiday with scuba. Fully satisfied with their service and moreover with their pleasant attitude. All of them were very helpful and if I had a choice, I could have rated them more than 5 stars. We had two of the best instructors, who took their time to make us enjoy to the fullest. However,I am extremely hydrophobic but this turned out to be the best experience so far.

My wife and I had a great snorkelling experience with the team at Queensland Scuba Diving Company, thank you. We saw lots of fish and shells and the snorkelling far exceeded our expectation. The equipment was well maintained and a good number of crew to accompany us. We are thinking about having a go at the no-experience dive and even to get PADI certification because the crew were very experienced, safety-conscious and patient.

Signed up the course without reading that it doesn't actually start on a Friday, they were super accommodating. Started at 6:30, we were done by 12pm. Andy was a great instructor, took his time with me and my ears that were causing trouble, had a few great solutions and was very patient when I needed it. Was a great and easy course, and the interns were super nice. I hope to come back as an Intern and keep up on the dive skills.

Great Crew and Experience Was a great experience and extremely easy. We were lucky enough to be picked up and dropped off from out apartment by Hayley. Saw plenty of fish and had more than enough time. Great value adventure!

TERRIBLE Extremely rude and unprofessional company. Booked two snorkelling experiences for my daughter. They refused to pick her up from her hotel!! This was part of the purchase "transport included".

When contacted to organise it, they were rude and unhelpful stating it was her fault/they don't offer it/you have to select it on purchase! Every excuse under the sun.

I would NOT recommend booking a snorkelling tour with this company!!

Safe, informative and fun My partner and I had Ikumi as an instructor. She was fantastic and made my first time diving a great experience! When we were under the water, she continually checked to make sure I was ok, which made me feel very safe.

The whole crew were so friendly. When a new diver had some anxiety getting into the water, their instructor was really great in helping them calm down. Even after we finished the dive, an instructor took my partner over to see some wobbegong sharks that another group had spotted. A fantastic experience all round.

Great Aussie experience Jak and Anthony were the best instructors and tour blokes. The dive was amazing and Jak made the experience fun and amazing! The owner is chilled and funny! Gotta love these blokes , a true Aussie experience! Thanks guys your all amazing
