Get hooked on DIVING …. you diver certification begins here.

If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognised scuba course. To enrol in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be

  • 10 years old or older.
  • You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health.

Please look over the medical declaration and if you answer YES to any of the questions, please contact us so we can advise you further.

No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  1. Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to  understand basic principles of scuba diving
  2. Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  3. Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. All this will be supplied during your course.

Times and dates of availability may differ so please contact us.

Minimum numbers do apply.

Thank you for choosing Keppel Dive for your PADI certification!

A few things before arrival:

  • This booking includes all days of your return ferry transfers required for the course completion, with Keppel Konnections ferry service. This will depart Rosslyn Bay Marina at. 07:30am and depart GKI at 4pm
  • Please ensure you have browsed our medical requirements prior to arrival, this can be found on our website. If you are over 45 years of age, suffer from particular medical conditions, or take regular medication, you will require a written clearance from a doctor to add to your PADI file.
  • Once full payment has been received, you will receive your PADI e-learning link via email. This is your pre-course study & should be completed prior to your course commence date. Please note: the first email from PADI will probably end up in your junk/spam.
  • Our dive centre is located near the ferry arrivals, towards the sign for Great Keppel Island Hideaway. Look for our blue dive hut!
  • Our dive vessel is a wet boat, this means, you might get wet! Please bring something warm for post-dive bliss!
