Haven’t been diving lately and want a quick scuba refresher? 

Our Refresher dive is the perfect way to update your dive skills and knowledge from your Open Water Diver Course before jumping back into the water. Whether you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, Our Refresher is personalised for you.

Tour Details:

Your refresher includes going over the basics of scuba diving with a theory review. You can address any questions you may have in the comfort of the class room and complete the reactivate quiz. Your Dive Instructor will then take you for a confidence building skills session in confined water. This will be in the calm shallow waters of the ocean or the dive training pool. Once your skills have been tested and you are confident, you will go for a dive at one of our beautiful dive locations.

Duration:

Allow up to 4 hours depending on group size and abilities.

Inclusions:

All equipment for diving, transfers between dive sites, confined water dive in private pool or beach (depending on conditions), all instruction provided by a PADI Diving professional.

What to Bring/Wear:

Pack for the Beach – bathers, towel, hat & sunscreen. Bring a warm & dry change of clothes.

Participant Conditions:

This experience is only suitable for individuals with a minimum of PADI Open Water Diver certification or the equivalent.

Important Notes

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time. Should you have difficulty on the day diving, we will arrange a separate time for you to do a one on one dive with your instructor (additional fee applies).

Medical:
You will be required to get a review our dive medical form and answer honestly, this will be send through via email upon confirmation of your booking. If you answer YES to any of the questions in the questionnaire, you will need to contact us on (03) 5984 0888 to discuss your options. Please get in contact if you wish to dive but have any of the following medical conditions including but not limited to:

  • asthma or breathing difficulties
  • issues with eyes, ears or nasal passages
  • had surgery in past 12 months
  • brain injuries
  • back or neck concerns
  • currently undergoing medical treatment
  • diabetes

Do not dive if you are pregnant or attempting to become pregnant.

If you answer yes to ANY of these medical conditions you will need to get a Diving medical from a Dive Doctor before you will be able to complete this experience.

When to arrive
During peak times, travel to the Peninsula can be delayed due to high traffic congestion.
Please allow extra travel time, as well as time to park your vehicle and freshen up so that we may commence your tour as scheduled.
If you arrive late, especially without notice, your tour may be reduced or forfeited.

What to bring
Water-based activities: bathers, towel, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm & dry change of clothes.
Land-based activities: towel, hat, sunscreen and closed heel shoes.
Please dress for comfort and for the weather.

Medical Information
It is recommended that any guest with a medical condition fill in a medical statement (attached) prior to the tour.
Adequate medical advice should be sought prior to any activity including but not limited to the following: asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart or lung conditions, ear injury, pregnancy & seasickness.

Weather

PS. The sun shines more in Portsea than Melbourne!

Parking
The Portsea public car park is 2 hour parking from December until April.
All day parking is available in the car park behind the BayPlay shop or on Franklin Rd.
Direction Information: Location
Parking at Point Nepean is available at the Quarantine Station – this can also be busy during peak times.
