Our Aircraft & Scenic Upgrades
You will fly in our spacious seven-seat Piper PA32 aircraft (with one seat reserved for your expert pilot). Want to make your journey even more memorable? You can upgrade your flight to include a discounted scenic joy flight over Perth City or around Rottnest Island. These upgrades are offered at approximately half the cost of booking them separately, offering incredible value!
Important Flight & Weight Information
To ensure a safe and comfortable flight, please note the following guidelines:
- Weight Limit: There is a strict legal limit of 440kg total combined weight for passengers and luggage.
- Seating: The aircraft accommodates 4 to 6 passengers. Please note the sixth seat is a middle bench seat best suited for a child or small adult. Two children under 30kg each may share a seat, and infants can travel on an adult’s lap.
- Luggage: Due to space constraints, please pack light with soft bags. We cannot accommodate large suitcases, surfboards, standard bicycles, or most strollers.

Departure Time
Please attend Jandakot Airport at least 20 MINUTES before your scheduled departure. ALLOW TIME FOR TRAFFIC WHEN DRIVING TO JANDAKOT AIRPORT. Late arrivals may be considered non-refundable “no shows” or will incur delays and costs due to the need to service other bookings. Please attend Rottnest Airport at least 10 MINUTES before your scheduled departure from Rottnest Island.
Our Address
Our location is 3 Baron Way, JANDAKOT AIRPORT. Limited parking only at our office. Public parking on Eagle Drive (200m south) – but busy weekdays. We recommend getting a lift, booking an Uber or upgrading to our Chauffeur service. If our office is unattended when you arrive, please relax – your pilot will be with you shortly.
Arriving at Rottnest
Your flight will arrive at Rottnest Island Airport. All entry fees for Rottnest Island are already included in your ticket price, so you do not need to pay any extra fees. Your hotel will pick you up from the airport if you tell them in advance what time you are arriving. Alternatively, there is a regular shuttle bus into town, or you can walk the 900 metres along the road.
Staying Overnight on Rottnest
Please tell your accommodation that you are flying with Rottnest Air-Taxi and what time you are landing (Normally 15 minutes after your departure from Perth). Rottnest Island Authority accommodation provide a luggage pickup from the airport PROVIDED YOU ADVISE THEM IN ADVANCE! Luggage labels available.
Passengers and Weight
Maximum weight INCLUDING luggage 440kg. Weight limits are strict legal limits and cannot be exceeded. Your group may be weighed on arrival at the airport, and if you are over the limit you will need to pay for an extra flight to carry the remaining passengers. Last-minute extra flights may be subject to delays.
Please consult with us prior to your flight regarding any individual passengers greater than 120kg in weight.
Luggage and Weight
Individual item size limit Length + Depth + Height = 165cm. MAXIMUM LUGGAGE 80kg TOTAL IN THE AEROPLANE! Eskies, large suitcases, strollers and other large items may be impossible to load. Rather than a suitcase, pack two smaller soft bags instead. Dive tanks, e-scooters, camping stoves, surfboards, bicycles, or any dangerous goods cannot be carried.
