Great experience We recently went to penguin parade tour and it was absolutely amazing! The tour guide, Josh was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, making sure everyone get involved and comfortable.

The transportation was punctual and comfortable, and I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole journey. I also appreciated how they went the extra mile to ensure everyone was having a great time.

The best experience ever with wallabies and koalas Led by Travis, this tour is really unforgettable to us. He shares a lot of information of different animals in Moonlit Sanctuary, including their habits and history which helps us understand more about them. Really enjoy the morning with him.

A morning in Melbourne with Eliseo Eliseo was a fantastic, attentive and polite guide, you could tell he has many years of experience on his back. He explained us lots of things about the city, the history and the Australian culture. A much recommended tour, specially with a guide like him. What a pity that our flight was early.

Fred is excellent at what he does, knowledgeable, easygoing, and genuinely fun to be around. The tour felt more like spending time with a local friend than a formal guide. He shared tons of interesting facts about the animals and the city of Melbourne.

The only downside? I wish it lasted longer.

Amazing :) Fred and the team were amazing! We were the first people to do this tour and they made us feel so welcome. We got to taste chocolates, cheese and fudge and see the 12 apostles alongside many other sights on the great ocean road. We learned lots of trivia from the guides and they helped us with any request. We even made it back to the city in time for dinner with our friend. I would highly recommend this trip :)

Josh was fantastic! We had a great family day out, Josh was full of fun facts and interesting stories, while giving us enough time to rest on the bus journeys. Seeing the penguins and feeding the kangaroos were the highlights.

Fabulous tour of the Great Ocean Road. A lot of driving, but worth it for the views. Sarah was an ideal tour guide. My only complaint is that I wish they would have included Point Lonsdale on the tour, for a thrilling view of The Heads (the narrow cliffy entrance to Port Phillip Bay where tanker ships have to thread a treacherous needle to enter and leave Port Phillip Bay to get to Melbourne and Tasmania).

Must do --little penguin parade Alex, our guide, was the best! he was funny and informative. The tour was well organized with a timely pickup. I enjoyed the sanctuary visit and photo ops with our Koala friend. As cute as the koalas were, the little penguin were even cuter!
We signed up for the discovery penguin tour--it really did not impress as I wasn't even sure how this differed from the standard penguin tour. I would suggest the onsite staff give us penguin information in the comfort of the theater where it's not so cold and the microphone can be used for better audio. Outside on the bleachers, we can't hear with the wind and the echo of the other groups in the background.
At the end of the day, the beach, the wildlife and the penguins stole the show --so go!

Amazing days with two great tour guides! Amazing experience. Two very long days but definitely the best way to see so much of the area. Dandy was our tour guide for the Great Ocean Road day and we learned more about the history of Australia than we ever expected. Sharing stories of growing up in the area made this a real personal experience and with such a small group Dandy was really able to make sure we were all getting what we wanted out of the day. I don't need to speak about the actual stops and scenery, I can assure you you will not be disappointed. The second day on our Phillip Island excursion we had Travis as our tour guide. His relationship with the animals was priceless. From Moonlit Sanctuary to Philip Island, he really knows what he's talking about. The itinerary's on both of these days are amazing and very inclusive-but the tour guides BOTH really made all the difference. Couldn't have asked for more!

Must see! Our guide, Travis, was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about all the wonderful animals and went out of his way to show us many that we would not have seen, and had never heard of before. He had just the right amount of talking and made the trip way better than we expected.
The penguins were simply adorable and a must see. Make sure to get the Plus package-very worth it first the best viewing.

We had a fabulous excursion with Sarah to the Great Ocean Road. She was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much. Her ability to spot koalas, while driving, was impressive!! Sarah saw to our comfort throughout the day and made the adventure outstanding! Her playlist is good too!!

It’s a long day in the van but Adam made it interesting with facts about the area and stops along the way including a chocolate factory, Apollo bay, 12 Apostles and loch ard gorge.

Great wildlife and relaxation experience! We had a fantastic time on this trip with two great guides, Kevin and Gary. Kevin picked us up and proceeded to drive us out the eastern peninsula of Melbourne to Moonlit Sanctuary. Along the way he gave us great information about Australian life, culture and sports, especially Australian Rules Football, his passion.
At the Sanctuary, he led us around pointing out the various opportunities to interact with the wildlife. He also provided us with grain to feed the kangaroos and wallabies. The sanctuary was outstanding. My wife and I had had encounters with local wildlife at two previous tours in New Zealand and Tasmania, but this was by far the best: so many kangaroos, wallabies, birds, dingoes, and koalas. The Moonlit Sanctuary and Kevin’s directions made for an amazing visit.
Gary then picked us up and took us to Peninsula Hot Springs. My wife and I expected, hot springs like we had experienced in Iceland and Japan and were surprised that this was a resort style spa. After adjusting our expectations, we relaxed and enjoyed the great amenities at the spa. All we needed to bring was our bathing suits, they provided bathrobes and towels. Gary stayed with us, and we had great conversations about Australian culture and activities. Bonnie, my wife is an anthropologist, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Gary.
Be prepared for long drive times to get out the peninsula to both places. We loved our exploration and encounters with the Australian wildlife and were happy to be able to relax and soak on our last full day in Australia. We highly recommend this Oceania Tours & Safaris experience.

He provided us with a background and history of every place we’d visited on this tour, with some amazing stories. Great overview! Although I have visited Melbourne many times over the years, it was refreshing to see places close up. I particularly chose this tour because of the Brighton beach boxes, that I had never visited before.

The tour guide was great too. She pointed out all sorts of things that I did not know previously.

Would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic trip with Dandy Dandy was kind, attentive, quick witted and endlessly knowledgable about Melbourne and its locales. He went out of his way to show us koalas and kangaroos in the wild, and I was blown away by his ability to spot them from miles away. Dandy also introduced us to the music of Xavier Rudd, and was even able to recite Dorothea Mackellar's "My Country" in full from memory as well -- truly a gentle soul at heart.

Being a solo traveler, he was gracious enough to let me sit next to his drivers seat for the best view in the van, and was happy to drop me off on his way back home even though I was staying outside the CBD. Couldn't ask for a better companion if I tried. Highly recommend the trip, and tip him well if you're lucky to get him.

We did The Great Ocean Road Tour on Sep 13, 2024 with Dandy and it was absolutely amazing! Dandy was timely, courteous, and thoughtful to everyone's needs. He went above and beyond to make the tour special! We traveled from Charlotte, North Carolina and this is our first time to Melbourne. This tour was the icing on the cake for our time here. We went for this new tour which brought us to the Brighton beach boxes and the Moonlite Sanctuary with our lovely tour guide Sarah! She definitely amazing as she is warm and friendly, knowledgable about the different animals in the sanctuary. It’s also a great experience to visit the beach boxes in the morning as there was still little tour group around, and you get to take many pictures without queuing. By visiting the sanctuary in the morning, you will get to attract kangaroos’ attention more easily as they are hungry. Overall, we enjoy the half day tour so much, def will recommend it!

Would definitely recommend Puffing Billy was great fun and we really enjoyed feeding the kangaroos. Alex was a fantastic tour guide. Would definitely recommend.

Worth the money! Good pick! A very good experience on the tour - the vehicle was comfortable, and the tour guide, Travis, drove safely and efficiently. It was truly amazing and delightful to see groups of penguins walking from the sea to the beach. Moonlit Sanctuary Park gave each of us a great surprise! The animals were very friendly - many small kangaroos and wallabies came over to say hi, and some politely came for food. Even the koala, Victor, was very calm and sweet looking at us while he was having his big feast! Throughout the journey, Travis explained the history and knowledge of each place. His humor and enthusiasm made everyone have a very enjoyable day trip and also gain a lot of knowledge. We highly recommend this tour; it’s worth the money. Go for Penguin Plus, and look for Travis as your tour guide!

We went on the Puffing Billy and Moonlit Sanctuary Tour with Gary. The tour was pleasant. Everything was scheduled perfectly for us to enjoy the activities leisurely. Gary was lovely and informative. I would like to highly recommend this tour company.

I had an awesome experience with Gary on the Great Ocean Road tour. He went out of his way to show us many incredible sites, including the 12 Apostles, Apollo Bay, Loch Ard Gorge, Cape Otway rain forest, chocolate factory, as well as several other stops along the way. I was by myself with my kids, and he made us very comfortable throughout our entire day. He sought out koalas and kangaroos in the wild for us, and he sure didn’t disappoint (we saw many).. I would only mention the drive is a bit windy/twisty for those who may get carsick, however, this was not a major problem, and was mainly a comment on the tour itself not on the company or Gary. I highly recommend this great tour company. They helped make our experience in Australia even more memorable!!

Bronson, our most excellent tour guide, took us on an incredible journey along the Great Ocean Road where we experienced amazing views of the Twelve Apostles, Mutton Island, Gray Kangaroos, Koalas, and a scenic drive through the Melbourne countryside. Just (Saturday) did the Great Ocean Road with Alex. 10/10 recommend! Alex was attentive, full of interesting information/stories and really took the time to get to know all of us in the group. Our small group tour with Dandy was exceptional! With just five of us in the van, Dandy had the perfect opportunity to give personalized attention and show us the sights at a relaxed pace. The entire experience was a 10/10. Dandy is, without a doubt, the best tour guide I’ve encountered. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendliness made the trip memorable. He even concluded the tour with a delightful farewell song, adding a unique and special touch to the day. We started the tour right on time, which I appreciated. Our first stop was the picturesque Apollo Bay, where we had plenty of time to enjoy the stunning coastal views. The highlight, of course, was the Twelve Apostles. The sight was simply breathtaking and exceeded all my expectations. Around lunchtime, we visited a campsite where we had an amazing close-up encounter with kangaroos. It was such a unique experience to see them so personal. Later, we explored a rainforest where we spotted several wallabies, adding another layer of excitement to the day. Fabulous experience with them. Travis did a fantastic job of giving us all the details around Melbourne and Phillips Island. He showed us many penguin homes around the area with wallaby roaming around. His knowledge is amazing and very keen to help around and nice gesture!! Loved the tour with them!!

Half day city tour Melbourne We made the half day Melbourne City Tour with Eliseo, very kind and attentive, he guided us throught the most important places in the city.

After a bit of a chaotic start to the day (which was very quickly sorted by the company) we were collected from our hotel by Sam. He made sure we had plenty of time to do everything advertised and offered on the trip, from moonlit sanctuary to the penguin parade (and fantastic, clear view of the Milky Way) on Phillip island! He was knowledgeable and humorous, and kept us engaged throughout the day!

Travis was an amazing tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and attentive to our group. He made our day beyond memorable and we could not have imagined not taking part of this tour. Between a Koala experience, feeding kangaroos and seeing penguins emerge from the Ocean it was the best day of our honeymoon.

Amazing! The tour was so fun. We had an amazing tour guide Travis. He was so knowledgeable and he made sure that we had the best experience. He gave amazing advice what to do in Melbourne the next day.
In the Moonlit Sanctuary we saw so many animals. The koalas were stunning and I hade the chance to see a womat for the first time in my life.
The coast line we went to see was breathtaking. Will deffenity go back.
The penguin parade was a once in a life time experinence. Everyone has to see this sight at least once in their life.
I recommend to do this tour, you get to see a lot and the experince is so much better because it's a small group.

Highly recommended The tour takes you to the amazing and quiet Moonlit Sanctuary, where you can feed wallabies and see koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, dingos, emus, local birds, etc. Then you get to see spectacular views of the coast and finally the penguin parade, which is incredible but true. The guide Travis is super knowledgeable, kind, and knows a lot about nature and animals. Highly recommended tour and guide.

Fabulous Great Ocean Road Day Trip - ask for tour guide Dandy! This Great Ocean Road Day Trip was even better than we imagined mostly due to our amazing guide: Dandy!! He was engaging, fun and filled with knowledge that he creatively shared at just the right moments. Dandy went out of his way to make our journey special and for us to feel special. Although there is never a guarantee to see animals in the wild, Dandy did his best and we got to see several pandas that he spotted while we were on our lunch break.
We got to revel in the rugged beauty of the GOR, watch surfers and hear stories of shipwrecks. Visiting the Great Otway National Park was a delight due to the presence of pandas. The 12 Apostles (now 8) were gorgeous with a number of lookouts to enjoy them from.
Great trip, but it is a very long day due to the distance from Melbourne. But worth it!!

Magical fairy penquins!! Small tour of 11. Bus driver/guide was great; humorous, informative. We stopped at a seaside town for dinner (not included in price of tour) - fun to stroll streets and go down to beach to watch birds (parrots). Stopover by sea to watch sea lions along rugged coast with crashing waves. Then off to highlight watching fairy penquins waddle up the beach to their night homes. We also saw enroute anteater and many wallabies. Magical 5 hours. Perfect time of day 5 pm - 11 pm. Returned home around midnight.

Great experience with Travis our guide and driver and a great group of travel companions A great day out with our driver and guide Travis. Started at 2pm and finished about 11.30 pm. The journey to the Sanctuary was filled with both amusing and informative knowledge of what we were passing on route and what we were about to encounter. The sanctuary was very relaxed but allowed us to get up close and feed the wallabies and kangaroo's and watch the koalas. The penguin parade was amazing seeing hundreds of little penguins arriving all at once on the beach and walking past us up to the nest. Recommend the deluxe ticket as most of the penguins walk by you there. Got to see sunset at nobbies and eat fish and chips before the parade. Highly recommend this tour, especially if Travis is your guide

Wonderful tour to Philip Island and watching the Penguins come ashore. This was a great tour with our excellent and very knowledgeable guide and driver Travis. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything and had the best experience possible. After visiting the Moonlit Sanctuary and getting close up to Koala bears and Wallaby's we visited Woolamai Surf Beach and had a short stroll on the boardwalk at Nobbies. After dinner at the Penguin viewing location (at our own expense) we walked down to the viewing platform and as darkness fell we watched the amazing scene of at least a thousand penguins arriving from the sea and walking onto the beach before heading off to their burrows. Again a big thank you to Travis for getting us back to Melbourne afterwards quickly and providing further information on the way. We would highly recommend this tour.

Make Sure They Have You Booked for the Second Half of the Tour We got picked up for our morning tour of the city, and it was a perfectly fine tour, and part of why I am giving any "stars". We got dropped off at the Skydeck where we were told we would get picked up at 2 for the second half of our tour. We were at the meeting point before 2. An Oceania Tours driver came by, picked up one person, and told us that another bus would be coming for us, that the traffic was really bad so they were all running behind. We waited until 3 before I called to see where our bus might be. We were told that we weren't booked for a tour that day. I said, "that is ridiculous, because your bus dropped me off here 3 hours ago, so I am absolutely on a tour today". The further they looked into it, they realized their "system" hadn't added us to the second half of the tour. They asked if we wanted to get an Uber to the Sanctuary, which we would have likely missed most of, and which was part of what I was looking forward to the most. Or we could re-book the second half the next day, which didn't work because we had a full schedule. Or they offered us a full refund. We took the refund, and it came through pretty quickly, so they did make us whole. However, I really wanted to do the full tour. I was upset that we were forgotten and that we wasted 3 hours, most of which was spent in the heat. This was our 2nd worst tour experience through our entire 3 week trip to New Zealand and Australia.

I hesitated to write this review, but I probably would have still booked this tour, and just asked the first driver to call the company to make sure we were on the second half if I had known that was a regular issue. So, by all means, book this tour, but know that you could run into this issue and just plan ahead and ask if you are definitely listed on the second half of the tour.

It sounded like it had happened to another couple the day before, and the person who handled my phone call said it was a known issue, so the company should really work to get that problem solved, so their customers don't have to do the extra work of verifying what should already be known, especially if they are mid-tour.

Great experience with Travis. Great trip with Travis who was very informative throughout the trip. Visit to moonlit sanctuary gets you close up with Kangaroos, wallabies, koala. Then onto coffee shop for delicious coffee and cake. Cowes for dinner, then onto the main event watching the penguin parade. Throughout the journey Travis regularly pointed out wildlife and we were lucky to see several wedge tailed eagles.
Highly recommend this tour.
