Unlike traditional tours, we make the whole day an active adventure. Explore the rugged coastline of Cape Woolamai, discover the dramatic Pinnacles rock formations, wander among koalas in eucalyptus woodlands, and experience the wild scenery of the Nobbies before watching the world’s smallest penguins return from the ocean.

San Remo Seaside Stop

Our adventure begins as we leave Melbourne behind and head towards the beautiful Bass Coast. Before crossing the bridge to Phillip Island, we stop in the charming seaside town of San Remo. Grab a freshly brewed coffee and a delicious local treat to fuel up for the exciting day ahead.

Cape Woolamai Coastal Hike

Lace up your hiking shoes for Cape Woolamai, one of the island’s most spectacular natural landscapes. Famous for its powerful surf and dramatic granite cliffs, we embark on a guided 6.8 km coastal circuit. Follow scenic trails through coastal heathland and rocky headlands, keeping an eye out for wallabies, echidnas and seabirds. 🥾

The Pinnacles Rock Formations

A major highlight of our hike is the spectacular Pinnacles. These impressive granite formations rise dramatically from the Southern Ocean, surrounded by crashing waves. Take in the fresh sea air and capture incredible photographs of this wild, colourful coastal landscape.

Koala Conservation Reserve

Wander along elevated treetop boardwalks at the Koala Conservation Reserve to observe koalas in their natural eucalyptus woodland habitat. Spot these iconic Australian animals resting and feeding high in the branches. Entry to the Koala Conservation Reserve is included in your tour.

Seaside Dinner in Cowes

Head into Cowes, Phillip Island’s charming main seaside town, to relax and enjoy dinner at a local café or restaurant. Dinner is purchased separately.

The Nobbies & Seal Rocks

As sunset approaches, explore the breathtaking Nobbies coastline. Follow scenic boardwalks above rugged cliffs and blowholes, taking in spectacular views over Bass Strait towards Seal Rocks, home to Australia’s largest colony of fur seals.

The World-Famous Penguin Parade

Hiking Difficulty & Fitness Level

Difficulty: Easy to moderate – Grade 2

Main hike distance: Approximately 6.8 km

The Cape Woolamai circuit features gentle hills, occasional steps, and uneven surfaces. No previous bushwalking experience is required, but a reasonable level of mobility and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

• Reusable water bottle (at least 1 litre)
• Warm layers and a waterproof jacket (essential for the cold evening breeze)
