Join us for an intimate evening beneath the open hinterland sky at Elysian Hills.

As twilight fades across the hills, settle into deck chairs or stretch out on picnic blankets and enjoy a relaxed evening from one of the Tweed’s most elevated coastal viewpoints. Guests will be provided with picnic mats, pillows and blankets for a comfortable evening under the sky.

Each guest will enjoy a curated grazing box and a drink on arrival, with a choice of wine, beer or a non-alcoholic option. A hot beverage will also be served later in the evening.

As darkness settles, our team will guide you through the night sky using a staff-operated telescope. Guests will be personally guided through visible planets, star clusters and seasonal constellations, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience without needing to navigate the equipment themselves.

We recommend downloading the SkyView® app, available on iOS and Android, before arrival. Simply point your phone towards the sky and the app will help identify the stars, constellations and planets visible above you.

With minimal surrounding light and sweeping coastal elevation, Elysian Hills offers a beautiful vantage point for observing the southern hemisphere sky.

Stargazing is weather dependent. If sky visibility is expected to be significantly limited, the event may be cancelled. Guests will be notified by 12:00pm on the event day and offered either a transfer to another available date or a full refund.

While the event will only proceed where suitable viewing conditions are expected, clear skies and telescope viewing cannot be guaranteed, as weather conditions may change in the hours leading up to the event or during the experience.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sky visibility and weather cancellation Stargazing is weather dependent. If sky visibility is expected to be significantly limited, the event may be cancelled. Bookings will remain open until the day of the event. If the event is cancelled due to forecast weather conditions, guests will be notified by 12:00pm on the event day and offered either: a transfer to another available event date, or a full refund of the ticket price, excluding any third-party booking fees where applicable. While the event will only proceed where suitable viewing conditions are expected, clear skies and telescope viewing cannot be guaranteed. Weather conditions may change in the hours leading up to the event or during the experience. Safety and severe weather For safety reasons, we may modify, pause or cancel outdoor components if conditions become unsafe, including electrical storms, strong winds or other severe weather. If the event must be cancelled entirely due to unsafe conditions, ticket holders will be offered a transfer to another available date or a full refund of the ticket price, excluding any third-party booking fees where applicable. Refunds & Cancellations (Guest-Initiated) Tickets are eligible for a 50% refund if cancelled at least seven (7) days before the booked event date. Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the booked event date are non-refundable. Failure to attend the event, late arrival or a change of mind does not qualify for a refund. Ticket Transfers Tickets may be transferred to another guest if you are unable to attend. Please notify us in advance with the new attendee’s name. Arrival & Punctuality Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may miss key components of the experience, and extensions cannot be guaranteed. Conditions of Entry This experience is delivered in a low-light outdoor environment. Guests should wear closed-toe footwear and bring warm clothing suitable for the weather. Ground conditions may be uneven, soft or damp. Children Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children under 12 years of age attend free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Catering and beverages are included for paying guests only unless otherwise specified. Photography & Marketing Photography and short video footage may be captured during the experience for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please advise a member of our team upon arrival. Liability Attendance is at your own risk. While reasonable care is taken to ensure guest safety, The Hinterland Collection and Elysian Hills accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, or for any injury sustained except where required by law.
