Set out on an unforgettable half-day adventure through one of South Australia’s most spectacular natural landscapes with the Port Lincoln National Park Sightseeing & Off-Road Tour. Departing from Port Lincoln, this curated experience blends rugged beauty, coastal wilderness, native wildlife, and off-road excitement into a compact four-hour journey that introduces you to the heart of Lincoln National Park and the untamed Eyre Peninsula coastline.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Port Lincoln toward the southern reaches of the Eyre Peninsula, where the park’s dramatic landforms meet the Southern Ocean. Lincoln National Park is renowned for its pristine beaches, granite headlands, sheltered bays and panoramic views across Boston Bay and beyond. As you wind through this coastal wilderness, your experienced guide will offer context about the region’s natural history, cultural heritage and ecological significance.
One of the highlights of the tour is the opportunity to explore pure and untamed beaches that are only accessible by four-wheel drive. Along the way, you’ll visit lookout points with sweeping views over nearby tuna and kingfish farms, framing the contrast between the raw beauty of the natural environment and the region’s rich maritime industry.
Expect to encounter local wildlife in its natural habitat. From kangaroos and emus grazing in the bushland to the possibility of spotting Australian sea lions along the shoreline, this tour immerses you in Australia’s iconic fauna with thoughtful commentary from your guide.
A standout moment comes when the tour ventures onto the Wanna Sand Dune system. Here you will experience an exhilarating off-road sand driving segment, taking in the ever-changing textures of wind-sculpted dunes and the raw coastal landscape that defines this part of the Eyre Peninsula.
Throughout the tour, small inclusions like coffee or tea, snacks, bottled water, and the use of binoculars help ensure your comfort and enhance your experience while you savour every vista.
The Port Lincoln National Park Half-Day Tour is designed to give you a meaningful exploration of this remarkable protected area within a manageable timeframe — perfect for visitors who want to connect with nature, learn about local ecosystems, and enjoy breathtaking scenery without committing to a full-day itinerary.
Whether you’re a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking an authentic Australian coastal adventure, this tour delivers an enriching blend of scenic highlights and wildlife encounters that capture the spirit of Port Lincoln and its surrounding wilderness.

From the moment we arrived, Ben made us feel safe and very welcome. I was genuinely moved to tears when he captured the most beautiful photos of us and shared them afterward. It was such a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced our experience.
If you're traveling to Port Lincoln, don’t miss this adventure with Ben and Tour South. Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening, Ben—you’re amazing!
Don't take your own car, you will miss too many spots and views that Ben knows well
" Count All The Koalas you can see tour," also known as the
"Mikkira Station Koala Tour, Port Lincoln"
with the intrepid tour guide, Ben. His eagle eyes helped us spot 38 koalas with the occasional emu and kangaroo. Not quite the record of 50 koalas, but we felt that we were on the podium. Many were resting on low branches allowing for a selfie or two, but done without disturbing them.
This tour gives an excellent experience of Australiarna.
Thank you Ben.

And Ben's professional photography truly stood out. we have countless amazing pictures and wonderful memories to cherish.
We also deeply appreciated the delightful afternoon tea. And it was such a nice surprise that you even offered reasonably priced wine and cheese plates for those in the mood!
Ben has a plenty of knowledge and passion for Port Lincoln were truly impressive. He kept us engaged and learning throughout the journey, that was especially valuable for the kids.
Choosing South Tour and having Ben as our guide made our Port Lincoln holiday perfect! Thank you for Ben's warmth and professionalism.
Thanks again Ben for the experience we throughly enjoyed the half day tour and your tips for us first timers.

The tour was a highlight of our time in Port Lincoln and is highly recommended.
Great fun, informative and an opportunity to see parts of Port Lincoln that we would have missed.
When we visit again we’ll DEFINITELY be looking to catch up with Ben again to experience other tours.
In addition to the scenery and the knowledge, Ben took some really fun photos of us on the day and then shared them which was an added bonus.
Ben took his time to show us everything in detail and made sure we didn’t miss any special spots. He also took amazing photos, capturing the beauty of the dunes perfectly. His friendly and relaxed attitude made the whole experience even better.
This is definitely a must-do activity! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure.
I went on this tour with just my child as my husband was on a working holiday. I wasn’t sure to begin with but after contacting Ben, he reassured me we would be fine.
We were more than fine, we both couldn’t rate this trip higher (and coming from a child that would prefer to do this in a digital world, this is exactly what every parent wants).
We visited secluded beaches, dramatic landscapes, cliffs, caves, look outs! A taste of nature, emus, kangaroos, ospreys, large seagulls, oystercatcher and we were hoping to see a snake in the dunes (like the night before) but not this time. Ben talked to my child about the shells he was picking up and showing him the black sea snails too.
We visited the sand dunes and Ben took amazing pictures for us (this was a first for us, it was very special. If you haven’t done this, you feel like you are in a different world).
We finished on a beach than can only be reached by 4WD or boat, for the most beautiful sunrise, perfection!
His 4WD route was within the boundaries and taking care of the beaches and sand dunes as we went along and explaining why (I thought this was very educational and informative for people who may not understand the importance of why we need to look after these areas).
My child paid for a sand board and loved that part (I had a go and have to admit, loved it too)!
It was great to hear about all the local nature and see many species on our trip and the final great was Ben sent us his photographs of the day (much better than ours as he’s a nature photographer)👌
Highly recommend Tour South 💯
Ben was amazing throughout and far exceeded our expectations. My mother is elderly, and Ben helped her navigate tricky rock paths to enable her to reach the rock pools.
We saw lots of wild life, beautiful beaches and rock formations. Ben is an accomplished photographer, and we were so grateful to him for the wonderful photos he took.
We have many amazing memories of our trips with Ben. Thank you Ben :-)
