Enjoy the peaceful sounds of Printhie’s lake and learn the art of fly fishing. The private instructor can cater for all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner looking to try something new or an expert wanting to refine your technique, the two hours of private instructions are tailored to your preferences. If you are a beginner your will be shown how to rig the rod, how to cast and how to reel in your fish.
Your fly-fishing experience will be followed by a degustation lunch or dinner including matching wines at Printhie Dining, where the chef team consciously craft menus that showcase premium local produce.
Fly Fishing Experience at Printhie Inclusions:
- Private instructor to guide you through 2 hours of fly fishing
- Bottle of Swift Sparkling to enjoy whilst fishing
- Fishing rods
- A degustation lunch or dinner at Printhie Dining
- Four wines matched perfectly to the menu
- Due to the nature of fishing we can not guarantee fish will be caught (sorry!)
Please wear sturdy, enclosed shoes and bring a jacket. Printhie follows the ‘catch and release’ practice. A weather check will be carried out the day before. If inclement weather is forecast you will have the option to continue with the degustation, reschedule or opt for a full refund.
Lunch Option – Friday and Saturday
Start time 10am, lunch at 12.30pm.
Dinner Option – Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Start time 3pm, dinner at 5.30pm.
Once we receive your booking we will check the instructors availability and come back to you as soon as possible to confirm. Payment will be taken at that point.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
– Minimum 24hrs cancellation for full refund
– If the Fly Fishing instructor needs to cancel due to bad weather, you can opt to continue with the 4 course degustation with matching wines (refund will be provided for fly fishing component), reschedule or cancel with full refund.

We were given a red balloon gift card from our family for a tasting and picnic lunch at Printhie winnery. This place is amazing. Jordan a new member of staff served us he had a huge knowledge but also a lovely manner and a great personality.
We were travelling with our small dog and read it was dog friendly. We didn't expect this level of dog friendly as we were told to have a seat inside the tasting lounge with our dog and they bought a bowl of water for her.
The picnic and wines were beyond amazing and Jordan was the perfect host to top of our magical day .

Stopped at Printhie on arrival in Orange & it set the tone for a really memorable weekend. Gen did our tasting and she was wonderful, so knowledgeable and friendly and actually just quite exceptional at her job. The wine & sparking was fantastic, as were the oysters and other snacks. Have not stopped raving about Printhie since, can’t wait to return and extra thanks to Gen for making us feel welcome in Orange and for saying hi at the pub the next day!

Already a lover of Printhie wines, I was delighted to discover their hilltop cellar door just outside Orange. What a stunning place. Beautiful views, stunning tasting room. A tasting of six wines was $15 and well worth it. Was tempted to stay for the tasting room lunch offerings but time was not in our side. Would love to come back and try the hatted restaurant in the near future.

Kylie is a literal angel sent from heaven. We had just been to a winery before Printhie that was pretty terrible so we needed some good wines and good vibes. She was incredible! Poor customer service We got there just after 3 to do a wine tasting and have some oysters. We were told that they close at 4 by a lady working there who just came off as rather rude and couldn’t really be bothered. Bought a bottle to take home but probably won’t go back again.read moreread less

I was advised that last week guests had arrived at close to 4pm and wanted to have oysters and wine but unfortunately as we close at 4pm they had closed the till and kitchen staff had shut down the kitchen as well. Apologies we couldn't host you on that afternoon. We do strongly suggest that guests book online in advance. We can always do better though and we'll review our processes in light of this. Thanks again for your feedback. We are open 11am t 4pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 5pm Friday and Saturday.

Superb degustation dinner We had the deguststion dinner on 18 July and it was superb. The chef had been Michelin trained and the food was world class, paying homage to local ingredients and being super mindful of carbon footprint. What a fabulous day spent at Printhie Wines. We booked the Wine Bar Table and was seated outside on a gorgeous, sunny day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We ordered 1/2 dozen of the special oysters ($39) and a lovely cheese platter ($50) and a beautiful bottle of their Rose. Amazing view and such a wonderful day!! Will be back to try their restaurant onsite. Highly recommend.

Had such a fab afternoon here doing wine tasting. Kylie who looked after us was an absolute superstar. She was so attentive and friendly, and asked about our preference and made sure we got what we wanted. The venue is also stunning. Very modern and intimate. There is also an outdoor seating area which overlooks the vineyard. Our group was beyond impressed.

Great setting. Fantastic degustation. Friendly service. Couldn't ask for more. Dined here for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant and cellar door sit in a relatively new complex on top/side of the hill affording one great views of the wine yards and surrounding countryside. The menu was listed as a five course degustation for $150 per person though this did not include two small amuse bouche, bread, a palate cleanser and petit fours. There was an option of two different wine pairings for $65 and $85.
There were also oysters available for $6 each. We ordered four, which were freshly shucked and came with a delicious sauce.
We thoroughly enjoyed each of the courses with their different textures and flavours and would struggle to pick a favourite.
Wine list showcased Printhie wines and we chose a bottle of the Wattleview Chardonnay at $85 from the Wine Club members and restaurant only wine list.
Service was particularly good. We were given refreshing cold towels shortly after we sat down. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient.
Will return when next in Orange.

Firstly thanks to Kylie and Matt in the Cellar door, especially Kylie, we certainly made her laugh and would like to thank her for her wonderful service and very memorable wine tasting, we apologise if we made her laugh too much ! and caused any disruption !

Book it Now.. Outstanding This is an outstanding restaurant that would hold its own in the company of any Sydey or Melbourne restaurant you care to name. The Decor is modern and inviting with a lovely muted earthy palette. The service staff are genuine, very friendly, and attentive and very customer focused without intruding. Which then leaves the food .nothing to say other than get there!! The 5 course degustation which is local produce based and changes with the seasons, is outstanding. Each dish is well thought through and combine multiple ingredients into a dish that is interesting and a delight!. I could sing the praises of each dish but its just not necessary - each one will be a winner!. The degustation is interspersed with entremets which add another level to the dining experience. From the helpful assistance given over the phone when booking, to the actual "tasting" aspect of this experience to the picnic down by the lake it was all fantastic ! The new premises are stunning & the young lady who was hosting our "tasting" has a nice, welcoming manner about her, is informative & joined-in some laughs with us. Loved it! From the minute we walked in to the minute we stumbled out, the Printhie team could not have been more kind, generous and attentive. I booked a free member's tasting, followed by the degustation lunch with matching wine pairing for my wife's birthday. The food was delicious and the whole meal, which is more like 7-8 courses once you chuck in all the little extras, lasted about 3 hours.
We've been members for a few years now and its experiences like this, not to mention the incredible sparkling, which will keep us coming back. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff, keep it up Team Printhie!

Superb fine dining at Printhie Wines We enjoyed the superb 5 course degustation lunch today at Printhie following multiple recommendations from friends. Chef Jack Brown makes local produce the star with incredible flavours, textures and combinations, creating a truly memorable experience. Gorgeous surrounds with delightful, knowledgeable and personable staff made this such a delightful lunch in Orange. The paired Printhie wines blend perfectly with the food; and Jack Brown created the sublime mango, macadamia and coconut dessert as a response to their Swift Cuvée Riche. We had lunch at Printhie on Saturday, what a 10/10 experience. The team looking after us (Tim and Doug) were fabulous, friendly, and really made the experience. The food was superb, the butter was nothing like I had had before heaven, I couldn't chose a favourite course, but I think the dessert was something else. Jack in the kitchen is a star, what a meal. Very special. Can highly recommend this restaurant for a great experience.

The food and service were outstanding and as good as we have ever experienced. From hero to zero Despite the sparkling (pardon the pun) new cellar door the customer service has gone from hero to zero. We travel the world wine tasting and had the most delightful experience a few years ago and called to visit again on a Wednesday afternoon. I explained we had a dog and would be happy to sit outside. The girl answering the phone told me 'It was just too hard'. I suggested that all they needed to do was pour the wine wherever was convenient for them, and I would take the glass outside to my partner. Rinse & repeat causing little distraction to the staff. 'Sorry it's just too hard' I was told. The booking was for 3pm on a Wed afternoon. How busy are they on a midweek afternoon. Not very I would suggest, and the booking reservation sheet was wide open!! But apparently 'it was just too hard'. It's a shame that Printhie are one of the few pet unfriendly wineries in Orange. Despite spending a lot of money on their 'sparkling' cellar door they appear to have forgotten about an important & increasingly valuable market segment - the customer. I preferred it before when it was more rustic, down to earth, and they had customer centric staff. Apologies to other staff members who may have handled this differently. It's true that a brand invokes the memories of the times you had when you were there. Swift will now invoke slightly different memories.read moreread less

Had an absolutely amazing time with my partner here. Laura was incredible with her wine knowledge and really set the bar of wine tastings in the area. The picnic option was one of the best decisions we've made on our trip. With such incredible breath taking views. (Make sure to make it on a clear sky day if you can) It was incredibly romantic and I don't think I've left a wine tasting more satisfied than I did here. We'll definitely be back.

A truly premium experience A truly five star experience. The masterclass with Dave was fascinating and personal (thanks for answering our many, many questions, Dave). We really enjoyed the high quality sparkling wine.The meal was top notch as well. Each dish was interesting and flavourful and the service was impeccable. I've been to all of Sydney's top restaurants, and this was at least on par in terms of both food and service.

Wine tasting We arrived 15 minutes before closing time but the ladies allowed us to sit and have a short wine tasting.The views were lovely and it was much warmer that the winery further up the hill.
The server was very knowledgeable and happy to assist.
We bought a few bottles to go.

We had an amazing experience. 50 ladies having the most incredible fancy lunch! Everything went just perfect. Thank you and I just can’t wait to come back to try the seasonal menu.
