Discover the best of Brisbane in comfort and style with our exclusive half-day private minibus tour, thoughtfully designed to showcase the city’s most iconic sights and hidden gems. The City Sights and Mount Coot-tha tour is the perfect way to get acquainted with Brisbane’s vibrant culture, lush green spaces, and breathtaking panoramic views — all in just a few relaxed hours.
Tour Highlights:
Brisbane City Drive-Through
Your journey begins with a guided scenic drive through Brisbane’s bustling city centre, where contemporary skyscrapers sit alongside colonial-era buildings. Learn about the city’s rich history, from its Indigenous roots to its modern-day growth as a thriving cosmopolitan hub. As we pass landmarks like City Hall, Parliament House, and the Story Bridge, your guide will bring the city’s stories to life.
Brisbane City Botanic Gardens
Next, we stretch our legs at the peaceful City Botanic Gardens, a riverside haven at the edge of the city. Stroll beneath heritage-listed trees, discover colourful tropical blooms, and admire the gentle curve of the Brisbane River as it wraps around this tranquil oasis. It’s a perfect photo stop and a chance to soak in the serenity. We will stop here for morning tea.
Mount Coot-tha Lookout
We then head up to the stunning Mount Coot-tha Lookout, Brisbane’s most iconic vantage point. From here, take in panoramic views over the entire city skyline, the winding Brisbane River, and — on a clear day — even out to Moreton Bay. Your guide will point out landmarks and share fun facts about Brisbane’s layout and natural surroundings. It’s a must-see stop for first-time visitors.
South Bank Parklands
Descending from the hills, we cruise over to the cultural heart of the city: South Bank. This riverside precinct is home to parklands, walking paths, cafes, galleries, and the famous Wheel of Brisbane. As we drive through, you’ll hear about South Bank’s transformation from Expo ’88 to the beloved lifestyle and arts hub it is today.
New Farm Park & Powerhouse Arts Precinct
Our final destination is the charming New Farm Park, a local favorite known for its grand fig trees, rose gardens, and riverside walks. Nearby is the Brisbane Powerhouse, a converted power station that now pulses with artistic energy. While we won’t enter the venue on this tour, your guide will provide insights into its history and current role in Brisbane’s arts and entertainment scene.

Our tour guide, Gau (sorry if I got the name wrong!), was fantastic. He gave us lots of information about Brisbane, helped us take plenty of photos, and even recommended places to visit after the tour.
My mom and I were really satisfied and had a wonderful time in Brisbane. I truly appreciate the experience and strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!
Guy our driver and leader was knowledgeable, friendly and respectful of his clients needs. WOW the lamington we had at Mt Coot-tha lookout cafe was the best and freshest that I have ever had. That is from an Australia who has had many. I would very much recommend this tour of Brisbane and its best sites.
Just needs to demo her Irish jig!! 😂

P.s We enjoyed meeting the other tourists in our group, it’s a great way to meet people.
So many hidden secrets.
brings this city alive!
What truly set Matt apart was his engaging and entertaining style. He even had some surprises up his sleeve toward the end, which added a fun twist to the experience. Coincidentally, I had crossed paths with him the day before when I asked for directions on the ferry, it was a wonderful surprise to see him as my guide the next day!
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, I highly recommend booking a tour with Matt. His expertise, personable nature, and knack for making every detail interesting made this one of the most enjoyable walking tours I’ve ever been on.
the ratings were high on trip advisor and this tour came as a trip advisor recommendation .
Guy Watson runs urban tours who facilitate the tour .
Guy sent up to date information about the meeting point before the tour .
Guy arrived early and ensured we all had sun cream and provided his own if people didn't have any protection.
Guy was very pleasant and welcoming .
there were people of different nationalities on the tour and he was very inclusive to everyone .
the tour itself was brilliant .
3 hours seems along time but it went very quickly ,at the 2 hour point guy produced a special local treat of lamington cake for all his walking guests ,with an explanation on how it came about in the process .
the tour itself covered the whole of Brisbane central and was full of all sorts of information that you can only get from a walking tour like this , fun facts , historical facts and details you would never get just wandering around on your own .
I would absolutely recommend GUY WATSON OF URBAN TOURS .
Guy tour operator was awesome knew his stuff and I learnt a lot about Brisbane I didn’t know before thank you Guy
