Wonderful food with premium wine. Execellent chicken and lamb dish, up to mark tasty refine sauces and fresh ingredients on each dish. Highly recommended. Bought their house-made olive oil. Truly excellent for those who loves to cook.

What an amazing little hidden gem. In the gorgeous Berrima township. Peppergreen Estate has not only a sublime menu where EVERYTHING on the plate is seasoned beautifully and has a purpose, but also has a wonderful wine list to complement the wonderful food. The staff are extremely warm and attentive and the chefs are top notch. Not your bargain type venue, HOWEVER, it is well worth every penny. We will definitely go back again!

I dined here with my mum on a cold, rainy day, and from the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed and genuinely excited to try the food. The Head Waiter was exceptional—he explained the menu in detail (with Italian flare), offered wine tastings before we ordered, and struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our meal.
The food was incredible. I had the duck cotoletta (a duck schnitty for us Aussies), and Mum chose the duck risotto. Both dishes were beautifully presented, generous in portion, and absolutely full of flavour.
After lunch, our friendly waiter even took us on a tour of the dining and tasting rooms at the back, which was such a lovely touch. As we were leaving, it was pouring with rain. He noticed us waiting on the porch and immediately came out with umbrellas, personally escorting us one by one to the car.
A true gentleman who is clearly passionate about what he does. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The best part of our stay at Milton Park Hotel was leaving to experience such outstanding food and service here.

Highly recommended! This is our first time to try Peppergreen Estate very happy with the service, friendly ,attentive and professional. Excellent food, good ambience, very clean. I ended up buyjng their own Peppergreen extra virgin oil, it's worth an hour travel from Sydney. Will definitely comeback.

This was the first winery I visited in the area, and I was completely amazed by the experience.
Mel gave me such a wonderful wine tasting — she’s incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely lovely.
Cosimo was also so welcoming and thoughtful; when I felt a little tipsy, he even offered me a complimentary Coke, which was such a kind touch.
Truly a memorable and heartwarming experience. Highly recommended.
Music , also the best! Next time I’ll try food instead x looking forward to come back next time to bring more friend.

Great service, food was a bit of a miss.
The front of house was fantastic and great service. We made a phone reservation earlier that must have gotten lost somewhere but when we arrived the owner made an extra table for us which we were very impressed with. However I found the food quite weird.
The gravlax and rosti I had for the entree was quite nice and set my hopes high for the mains, however the mains we had were a bit strange. The steak I ordered was cooked nicely but was topped with a large bunch of raw spring onion, which really didn’t go well with it. This wasn’t too big of an issue though, as I could just remove it. However, the chicken biryani also had copious amounts of raw spring onion and raw chilli, and was served with bok choy. I usually love Indian-Chinese fusion but this was a real miss, as the Bok choy just didn’t pair well with the spices.
In all fairness, the duck we ordered was also served with Bok choy, but the duck was cooked very well and worked well with the bok choy it was served with, and this was definitely the highlight dish of the day. Finally we also ordered a watermelon feta salad. This was quite nice at first, until I reached a bite with - once again - raw spring onion. The flavour of it was just so overpowering, and really didn’t belong in the light and fresh watermelon salad. The watermelon was also served in one large chunk which made for very nice and unique presentation, but did get a little unwieldy as we were trying to share the side, though overall this was not that big an issue.
Altogether, forcing raw spring onion onto all of the dishes was a strange choice and just not tasty as every other bite would be completely overpowered by the taste of raw onion.

Barely a redeeming feature to recall of poorly conceived, terribly executed dishes. Two sides were completely forgotten - and not sure how you mess up potato chips so badly when you can get fresh Robertson potatoes.
Had the Entree Tasting Platter - octopus was great, but that's it - everything else a pale shadow of previously good meals. I feel sorry for my friends who had the aforementioned 'prawn toasts' - rock-hard overtoasted/burnt bread, and the prawns . tasted like bait prawns having been left in the sun.
The following meals were mostly edible, but only if you persevered, and had lots of bread with the nice olive oil.
We won't be back. In 10 years of living in the Highlands I can't remember a worst meal.

The starter we had were platters to share and they were so good.
Unfortunately, from then on, the food quality and the service went down sharply.
Great that we were served the Rose with the chilled glasses. When we done with Rose, we opted for their Riesling. The empty glasses from the Rose left on the table. for the whole meal (crowded table).
I had the gruyere souffle, sounds and looks great. No flavour "thing" with lots of creamy sauce.
Another guest had the chinese prawn toast. She was so disgusted with it. Hard as a rock.
We ordered cauliflower side dish and it never arrived. We glad that we didn't have it at the end.
One of us ordered potato chips, he had to remind our waiter before it arrived.
We didn't order any dessert , just coffee. I thought we live in an area for great coffee in Southern Highlands. Bitter and very watery.
Just to close my rant, their wines are beautiful and yummy. We left with some bottles.
I really hope they would and could improve the dining experience for everyone.

I recently visited PepperGreen Estate for the Wine and Dine – 3 Course Experience, and it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service truly made the night special.

Highly recommend PepperGreen Estate for anyone looking for a memorable and beautifully hosted dining experience. 🍷✨

The duck was amazing with matching wine. Loved the banofee brulee to finish off. Charlotte was serving us, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would love to come back with a bigger group, especially our coeliac family members, as there were a lot of GF options on the menu.

The best meal I’ve had in a long time. Couldn’t fault anything. The flavours were outstanding. Would highly recommend and will return again. Loved it! Food & wines were great, acoustics not too noisy, portion sizes were perfect. Expensive, but good value for money.
We had a lovely walk around the pretty village after lunch.
(One thing to note, this venue is not where the vineyard is even though it’s the cellar door, so no vines to see…. but otherwise, fabulous!)

We drove from Sydney just to have lunch here, as we were pleased with their food last time we visited. We arrived and were seated at a lovely corner table on the front veranda. We felt blessed to get this spot as the place was fully booked during the long weekend. The tables nearby were reserved for wine tastings and sharing plates, so the outdoor area was still quiet when we settled in.
I told the waiter right away that we’d start with sourdough and olives—and before our seats had even warmed, they arrived, served with their famous olive oil. We couldn’t have been happier, as we’d been hungry for at least twenty minutes before arriving. Highly recommended to start the meal with the warmed soft sourdough with delicious olive oil and olives.🫒
My husband ordered an almond mocha while I had a soy chai latte. It is a cellar door, but wine just wasn’t on our minds 😅.
For our entrée, we shared the white wine and leek risotto, finished with salsa verde. Then for mains, we both had the duck leg confit with pearl barley risotto, orange and star anise glaze, and blood plum chutney. We left absolutely stuffed 😮💨 and deeply satisfied.
Even our cat enjoyed the duck—he kept giving me those looks as if asking for more 😅.

The wine tasting experience was divine, but the restaurant itself is overrated. The service doesn’t meet hospitality standards. The flavors were good, but the portions were ridiculous — for $72, what you see in the photo is mostly bread and just three pieces of sashimi on more bread. On the plus side, the olive oil was excellent. To sum up wine and olive 💯 perfect

Had an incredible time at the cellar door! 🍷 From the moment we walked in, Sandy and Melinda made the experience unforgettable. They were funny, warm, and genuinely passionate about the wines. Their energy kept the whole tasting relaxed and entertaining while still being super informative.
Not only did we leave with some great bottles, but also with plenty of laughs and great memories. Couldn’t recommend this place (and especially Sandy & Melinda!) more highly. We’ll definitely be back!

Hi Andrew,
We take one star reviews extremely seriously as this is not our normal high standard.
After speaking with our team I was advised that the experience was unpleasant for our young staff member who you did not communicate with at the time of your visit your comment regarding the mushroom sauce. Our team was not made aware.
It is disappointing to hear that one of our team members was brought to tears because of your behaviour towards her. Our Manager did speak directly with you regarding this interaction and we are proud of our team, our service, our food and countless reviews do attest to this. Hospitality and any service industry workers deserve respect.

My husband and I had a really lovely time at PepperGreen Estate. The person who looked after us during the wine tasting was fantastic — super friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable.
We absolutely loved every wine we got to try — each one had something different to offer. The cheese plate was gorgeous too — beautifully presented and so tasty!
We were a bit disappointed the place closed earlier than we expected, as we would’ve loved to stay longer and have a meal. But we’re definitely keen to come back again soon and make a day of it.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a relaxing, quality experience!

This place was outstanding. The building had been built beautifully with amazing dark but warm decor with a countryside feel. The ambience was inviting in a cold winter day with the lighting dim and the fire place going.
Upon arrival my wife and I were instantly greeted warmly and with personality and seated promptly. Our waitress was able to rattle off 6-8 specials all of which sounded amazing.
We ordered drinks and were brought bread and oil which was great.
I ordered the prawn toast with lots of fancy bits. Essentially it was an Asian fusion style with lots of bursting flavour and Asian style crab salad. It was so outstanding I would have another if I could.
For mains I had the eye fillet which came with jus, potato and roasted tomato's. It was cooked to perfection (rare) and had great flavours all round. It was chargrilled which added some complexity of flavour. I paired this with a great Shiraz.
Upon finishing our meal we had a look around and saw more beautiful dining space and out the back wine tasting in almost a bar style setting. Again beautifully set up.
As we paid were were recommend a few items they sell in their small shop and we purchased olive oil based soap, some hand moisturiser and a bottle of olive oil. All of great quality.
As we paid and were see out the service again was outstanding and friendly.
I couldn't fault this place in any way and highly recommend. If you do pay a visit you may just see me there as I will surely become a frequent visitor. Best in Berrima!

We enjoyed brunch as a group. The food was great and the atmosphere lively. Though PepperGreen wine was pleasant, the service was uncomfortable. Our specific wine requests were ignored in favor of staff recommendations. Portions were small, and I had to remind her about my fifth selection. We unfortunately felt discouraged from buying from the cellar beyond the credit value. Overall, we felt that this staff member was not representative of PepperGreen, and otherwise had a good time.

We had a fantastic wine and dine experience at Pepper Green Estate. Set in a beautifully refurbished barn, the restaurant combines modern dining with a rustic charm. Wine and extra virgin olive oil take center stage here, celebrated in several of their thoughtfully crafted dishes.
The menu focuses on seasonal, local produce, and the care in selecting and combining ingredients shines through in every bite. Standout dishes include the twice-baked Gruyère soufflé and the crispy duck confit, served with pear poached in red wine. For dessert, the crème brûlée with fresh berries was simply divine. The portions were generous, and after three courses, we left thoroughly satisfied.
The included wine tasting was an added treat. The sommelier was knowledgeable and approachable, enhancing the experience without being pushy. The $10 tasting fee can also be used as credit toward any wine purchases, making it well worth the visit.

We booked in a gin tasting, followed by a cheese plate in the restaurant.
The experience end to end was excellent. The gin tasting was led by a welcoming and warm host, she was knowledgeable and funny. The gin with cucumber sorbet was an unexpected highlight.
We followed this with a cheese platter and cocktails in the main restaurant. It was one of the best cheese platters we have ever had. Substantive enough for 2 to eat for lunch. Great value.
Highly recommend both the tasting room and the restaurant.

We have dined here before & returned as we enjoyed it so much. Service was very good but the young male server needs to be taught how to pronounce jus & a couple of other words used to describe the specials.
Meals came out quickly & were well presented. However, the prawn toast was rather bland & the "rice toast" was hard & dry. The lamb was delicious but the Tortellini with prawns was a bit underwhelming with tough prawns.

A beautiful dining experience for an early Mothers day lunch. Our three courses were impeccable and so full of flavour. Service was friendly and prompt. I loved the open kitchen and the warm and cosy atmosphere. I ordered 3 courses but meals were quite big. Next time I could easily share and entree and dessert. The only thing I didn't like was that our table was squished behind the service desk and we copped the cold draft every time the door opened. I would highly recommend this little treasure of a restaurant though and can't wait to come back for the new menu.

This is the most brilliant restaurant in NSW in my opinion. We go to there every couple of months. If you don’t know what you’re going to eat then just follow the today’s special. The chef has never been let us down. The waiter and waitress are always nice and kind. The place is elegant and well designed . Every table has a good distance apart from each other which let us feel free and relaxed. Go to Berrima, go to peppergreen, give you a special treats.

We had the most amazing lunch for our Wedding Anniversary on Sunday. The food was so divine, so many flavours that just all went together perfectly. The chef in this restaurant really knows his flavours and everything was cooked beautifully. We will definitely be back for another meal in the future and definitely will recommend friends and family to go and enjoy this lovely place. The wine was also lovely , we had a bottle of the Rose' and i also loved the smell of the Sandlewood and Saffron candle burning in the restaurant, bought one and have had it going all day. The staff are all lovely and cheerful and do a fantasic job. ????

The food was excellent and the service was good. The ambiance is excellent and we enjoyed it very much.
I visited about 2 years ago and was not so impressed but it is now one of the best restaurants in the southern highlands and I chose to visit based on recommendations from people I know.
One thing I would suggest is that you teach your waitresses to look around regularly, I tried for about 5 minutes to get their attention as they seemed to be looking at something behind the bar. I had to almost shout out to get them to come to our table.

A wonderful dining experience! We loved everything. From the most delicious bread and olive oil, the beautifully crafted entrees, the mains with such unique flavours, to the final touch of a very delicate yet scrumptious dessert! All paired with a great wine, of course. When we thought it could not get any better, we were presented with a curated wine tasting session to end this amazing meal on a high note! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff extremely attentive. We were so well looked after. We cannot wait to return!

The food at this establishment is truly exquisite. I highly recommend pairing your meal with a glass of their exceptional homemade wine; it's bound to elevate your dining experience to heavenly heights. The bisque, a delightful symphony of oceanic flavors, was a taste sensation I'd never encountered before. The scallops, plump and succulent, were a true standout. Don't miss the experience of combining the velvety potato and seafood gravy – it's an absolute must-try. The filet mignon was perfectly tender, and the subtle smokiness in its seasoning added a delightful dimension. The oysters were incredibly fresh, offering a burst of briny flavor that was further enhanced by the accompanying sauce. Dining in this beautifully adorned country-themed restaurant is an experience you'll cherish, and one you'll never regret.

I don’t normally go to the effort of leaving reviews but the food and wine was beautiful here. But it was the staff that made me want to go to the effort of the review. All extremely friendly and helpful from the person who sat us, to our waitress and the person helping us with the wines. Really great experience and highly recommend to everyone.

What a delightful venue. It is situated near the river and a park. It has been recently renovated. It has an open kitchen that delivers delicious, beautifully presented, and generous food. We enjoy perfectly cooked scallops, chicken liver Patè,duck confit and prawn Tortellini. The service is outstanding. Maya was just the best server we've had in any venue locally and abroad. A must visit in the beautiful Berrima
