Drink Tasmania is now available to accommodate customised private tours from Hobart. Do you have a corporate group or special celebration that requires a uniquely memorable experience you’re looking to organise in Tasmania? We can arrange single day or multi-day tours for the avid whisky or wine aficionado’s that want the absolute in-depth experience of everything Tasmania has to offer, including visiting places that aren’t on our public tours.
We can cater for small (4 pax) or large groups (up to 50 pax), single or
multi-day tours. We are experienced in making the day amazing for
corporate group special events, cruise ship passengers, and family
groups.
Private tours can be booked by request any day of the week. We can arrange to visit
different producers on certain days of the week depending on
availability, however we will always ensure we create the best and most
diverse experience available for you on any given day.
You will receive a private tour guide and the flexibility
to curate your own tour route. You can leave it up to us to create the
itinerary for you, or you may wish to visit certain places. We
specialise in working on this together with our guests to suggest what
will offer the best experience for your group as well as ensuring the
places that you wish to visit are available on the day, that it fits the
producers’ schedule and that they aren’t too far apart geographically.
At the end of the day, it’s your tour and we want to do
everything we can to make it memorable, including arranging champagne,
birthday cakes, maybe even signed bottles! Just ask us and we’ll see
what we can do.
You can request a date by using the contact form to send
us an inquiry. Otherwise you can contact us direct on 0475 000 120 or

I preferred starting g at 10, as not too early to start tasting coffee 1st was also a good idea. Tim was interesting, knowledgeable and made the trip. The last stop was amazing, a perfect ending. I liked choosing my own lunch too. Thankyou

We had an extremely poor wine tasting experience where we were placed in a cold room adjacent to the shop where we tried 6 similar wines that were actually quite poor in taste, by a person that we were informed was in training. We then went to a cider tasting where if all the tastings together mounted to 200ml I would be surprised, followed by a trip to Willie smiths apple shed where we purchased our own food and spent the most time. We waited a long time for our meal then headed back to hobart for a "distillery" tour that was in fact a small garage on battery Point. After this we went to "pub" close to the harbour where we were dealt a drink each from our guide Tim before he bolted and didn't even return us to our pick up area. This was very poor in terms of a tour and for the money is quite honestly not worth it. The 6 of us on the tour were all very disappointed and were left to also walk back to our departure point. Would not recommend this "tour" and if this is not a fair indicator of what is expected, then I would personally like to here from the tour company to explain why!

Ben, our tour guide was brilliant, very entertaining and knowledgeable on places we visited and the history of beverage industry of Tassie. Absolute must do when visiting Hobart.

Pete took us around 3 distilleries over a day and we had a blast. His knowledge of the industry as well as personal relationships with all the distillers meant we got info, tasting and great banter - exactly what you’d want. Lunch was delicious and sitting by the fire at the Drink Tasmania tasting house in Richmond was perfection.
Great whisky, great company and great tour - would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Our driver/guide Gino was very friendly and very knowledgeable, and ensured that we knew what was happening, and that we had a fabulous experience.

He drove us to the Huon Valley region in a comfortable mini bus after a tasty coffee.
Our group of 7 visited a winery first, then two apple cider distilleries, with lunch at the second, a brewery, then a whiskey & gin distillery.
Gino had great knowledge, shared some of his own story, and took interest in all members of the group.
Gino set the tone of the day well, made sure we were looked after, and ensured we were happy.

It was well worth the flight just to attend and I look forward to my next experience with Drink Tasmania!

Ben started the day with a great icebreaker and was a fantastic guide.
We went to a good mix of wineries and the tour felt like very good value for money.
Really couldn't fault the day!

We experienced unique places, with interesting people creating wonderful product.
The conversations were great, excellent tastings and a delicious lunch included.

Emma the tour guide was fantastic, knowledge, and ensured we all maximised our day.
A must for any whisky lover

This tour took us from Huon Valley, through Hobart, and back up near the Airport. The team were extremely easy to communicate with, as there was a chance the day I booked wouldn't have the numbers to go ahead. I cannot praise our tour guide Tim enough. He had a great array of information for us between locations and was happy to answer any questions.
Perhaps my only suggestion for a better day would be to start earlier - but that's a little tricky with alcohol!
If you get motion sickness, be sure to plan ahead as the roads do get windy. But the bus was very comfortable and brand new, so the drive was great.
Well worth the money - would recommend! Just remember to take photos of what you like, cause it's easy to loose track with all the drinks you get to taste.

All the vineyards we went were unique and the experience was very personable. I personally love the time at Craigow where the owner himself was explaining on how he got a very good winemaker in to replicate the old world French style wines. It was an amazing time!

As for the tour, Geno was a great guide and we were able to sample the best of everything around and about Hobart - and someone else did the driving! Great wines, cider, beers, and spirits. Our luggage was quite a bit heavier heading home
