From the moment we arrived until the final steps into Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, every detail was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to focus on what mattered most—immersing ourselves in one of Australia's most spectacular coastal walks.
We chose the self-guided Fast and Furious Cape to Cape experience, and it was the perfect balance of independence and support.
From the very beginning, Gene made us feel completely looked after. His local knowledge, practical advice, route briefings and genuine enthusiasm for the track gave us the confidence to simply enjoy the journey. Every transfer was punctual and seamless, our luggage was always waiting for us at the next destination, and the accommodations were excellent.
What impressed us most was that although we were walking independently, we never felt like we were on our own. Gene was only ever a phone call away and checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly. His passion for the Cape to Cape Track is infectious, and his tips about the best places to stop, explore and take in the scenery truly enhanced our experience. He even corrected us right at the very end to esnure we finihsed in the track and not on the road!
The logistics were flawless, allowing our group of five friends to focus on what mattered most—walking, laughing, challenging ourselves and taking in the incredible beauty of the Margaret River coastline. Knowing that all the behind-the-scenes details had been expertly managed made the experience completely stress-free.
If you're considering a self-guided Cape to Cape walk, we couldn't recommend this team more highly. You get the freedom to walk at your own pace while enjoying the reassurance of having experienced locals looking after every detail.
Thank you, Gene, for your professionalism, warmth and exceptional organisation. You played a huge part in making our five-day adventure one that we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Cape to Cape .
The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish, but what made this trip so special was the team. The guides were outstanding. They are so knowledgable and so passionate about what they do. They made everyone feel comfortable and looked after, no matter your pace or experience.
The organisation was exceptional with every detail thoughtfully planned. The food was amazing, fresh and clearly prepared with care and the accomodation was just as impressive - comfortable and welcoming, the perfect place to recharge each night.
A special mention to Gene , the founder whose vision really shines through in every part of this journey. It has obviously been built with passion and heart.
I left feeling not only grateful for the experience, but also for the entire team who made it possible.
Highly recommend to anyone considering it - an unforgettable adventure !

MY 8 day WA Cape to Cape walk with 7 friends, was amazing. the walk itself is beautiful and diverse. Days are not to hard, but are long and filled with fun, laughter and guides knowledge of the area, from fauna, flora, marine life, Aboriginal culture to the history of Australia in WA.
The Cape-to-Cape company from the Owner; Gene, to the CEO Floss and the amazing Guides and staff where we were staying are second to none.
I am an experienced hiker/walker and have been with many companies all over the world and I have to say that the Cape-to-Cape team was the best. From organisation, experience, knowledge, but most importantly the tight knit family feel this company has, making sure you have everything you need to make this walk the best experience. The added touches, at night with the amazing food, hot water bottles in our glamming tents, to surprise scones for morning tea along the track, is what makes this company special.

We did a 7 day self guided Cape to Cape walk and it really was an exceptional experience. Highly recommend to others! Accommodation and food was organised for us and we were dropped off at the track every morning and picked up again in the afternoon and taken back to our accommodation. The drivers are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them and we were always greeted with a smile. The accommodation was perfect and the food was delicious, and plenty of it.

The whole experience was excellent! The entire staff are passionate people that love their work and the company they work for. The guides are all highly skilled in their fields and pass on really interesting info on the track. Each day is full of amazing scenery and wildlife and at the end of the day we all get to eat great food and beverages together and relax in comfy accommodation. I will definitely be doing more hiking tours with these guys in the future!

I can't say enough good things about this company. I just finished their 8-day guided Cape to Cape tour, and honestly, everything about it was awesome. The guides were so passionate and caring, and they made learning fun and the other staff members were fantastic too.
The food was top quality and often too much to eat. Even snacks provided at the Accommodation.
The accommodation was great – I had a private room, not the glamping tents, which I wasn't keen on with the chance of bad weather. The common areas added to the commaradie too.
They really thought of all the little details, like foot soaking containers, which made it even more comfortable.
And of course, the walk itself was the best part. Such a beautiful area of Australia.

The accommodation at SurfPoint resort was very pleasant indeed, with a warm communal vibe and managers who clearly care about providing clean and attractive accommodation for walkers. The communal kitchen and lounge areas were well provisioned.
The track itself was all that I had hoped for. Magnificent scenery, interesting vegetation and wildlife, and a perfect balance between some hard walking on soft sand and stretches of exhilarating limestone cliffs. The beaches are unspoiled, and although the surf was often dangerous, there were plenty of options for some safe swimming to cool down a weary walker.

A trip of a lifetime!
I am not sure a written review can really convey how amazing the Cape to Cape experience is. I was travelling alone and so booked a guided group walk. I am not familiar with this area and so for me it was important to learn about the flora, fauna and local people and the landscape. There are also self guided options available. I was not able to make the full scheduled 8 days but Cape to Cape Explorer Tours gave me some flexible alternatives which meant I could go ahead and book. I was a little hesitant about booking as a solo traveller but I need not have been, it was perfect and I absolutely loved every minute. The guides that lead the daily walks all have different areas of expertise and are passionate about those areas. We learnt about geology, flora, fauna and the indigenous people. The guides were all great communicators, good fun and had some amazing stories to tell. Some of the participants were experienced hikers and others were not but the guides ensured the walks were enjoyable for all of us. The scenery was spectacular - turquoise seas fringed by pure white sandy beaches, the most beautiful wildflowers carpeting the route and the glorious karri trees of Boranup Forest. There were extra activities some days including a trip to a winery, a trip to a local brewhouse for dinner and a visit to a local farmers market. The food was absolutely fabulous, we made our own breakfasts and there was everything you could have possibly wanted but if there did happen to be anything else you fancied, you just had to ask and the next morning it would be there. There were snacks for morning tea and a packed lunch which we carried in our day packs After the walk there was a delicious dinner waiting and the portion sizes would satisfy even the largest of appetites. There are lots of little extra special touches such as footspas for after the daily walks, snacks such as cheese and crackers freely available and a wonderful selection of teas and coffees. The communal areas were spacious and very comfortable.
The team were all super friendly to the guests and to each other; like one big happy family where everyone mucks in and helps and nothing is too much trouble.
We were incredibly lucky to walk with a great group of fellow hikers; we started the week as strangers but ended it as friends!
I have made some very happy memories that will last a lifetime - well done Cape to Cape Explorer Tours for such a very special experience.

But !!!
We were hiking without guide and are reasonably good and fast walkers. As some days had rather short legs, we would have expected to be able to enjoy them quietly without having to wake up at insane hours in the morning, just to finish very early in the day. This was however not possible, despite our requests, as our transfers were (mostly) scheduled to match those of accompanied groups. This meant 7.30 AM departure to end our walk at 11.15 in the worst case. Similarly the last day we also had to depart super early just to wait over 2 hours at the end of the walk before we could be picked up for the return trip. This was really frustrating and somewhat spoiled the otherwise splendid experience. As self guided hikers we couldn’t help but feel like second class customers.

Cape to Cape explorer tours are a fantastic company with passionate, knowledgeable, and driven guides that take time along the trail to educate you and unveil the little things that you may not notice walking on your own. They have fantastic little details too, on a particularly hot day they turned up with ice blocks at the pick up, and another day we had hot face washers.

I knew I would see wildflowers this time of the season. But I had not in my wildest imagination dreamt of seeing so many wildflowers for the entire walk. 130 km. Bushes in full bloom, wild orchids and tiny, tiny flowers. Even the dreaded long shoe-sucking beaches had flowers. Amazing. And then the thunder of the mesmerising waves rolling in one after the other. The whales jumping in the distance. The tiny Hooded Plovers and Oystercatchers.
Yes, it was long walking days, but never ever boring. With each corner turned there were new landscapes, flora and fauna. Challenges to overcome and rewarding snacks and lunches to be enjoyed. So much fun, so much fresh air and so many memorable memories and sights.

What an incredible seven days! Breathtaking scenery, insightful and knowledgeable guides, and perhaps most rewarding of all, we met some truly amazing fellow hikers.
Cape to Cape Explorer tours crafted a truly unforgettable experience. Their meticulous organization and attention to detail far exceeded our expectations.
For me, a standout highlight was the wealth of history and information they shared on indigenous issues, such as land use.
So if you're eager to embark on the Cape to Cape hike, I highly recommend Cape to Cape Explorer tours as a truly exceptional company to consider

Having just completed the Cape to Cape Track with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours I cannot recommend them more highly. Every interaction from the time of booking to our final farewell was sensational! The guides on track were really knowledgeable and respected everyone's required pace and capabilities. The accommodation was fantastic and provided opportunities to learn more about the local region as well as get to know our fellow hikers. The support for local businesses and sustainability were second to none. I would recommend Cape to Cape Explorer Tours to anyone considering the C2C track!!

I loved learning more about the local area and its stories along the way. What made this tour group stand out from others is the fact all the guides are local people with true local knowledge.
Each section of the walk had its own personality and the scenery was just breathtaking. The accommodation and food were great, and it was clear how much thought goes into every detail. Me personally, I requested dairy free food and could not emphasise enough how well I was catered for from start to finish. The food was so delicious!
I came away feeling proud (so so proud!!), calm, and really grateful for the experience. Huge thanks to the whole team for making it such an unforgettable week. I cannot wait to go on the Bibbulmun next with you.

The catering team cooked the most delicious evening meals, morning teas and amazing lunches.
Surfpoint is the perfect location and encourages all the hikers to hang out together in the shared facilities. The laundry is great too. The staff are so delightful and nothing is too much.
Our drivers were always on time, knowledgeable and took us to some delicious spots for snacks and dinner in the evenings too.
The guides were sensational. Super knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about the geology, flora, fauna, indigenous history and European history and making sure the C2C is conserved and valued so it can be used by hikers for decades to come. All the little surprises and special touches don't go unnoticed either, so thank you guides and CCET!
If you're nervous about joining a group as a solo walker , I wouldn't bother. By the end you'll have new friends and will have had many laughs and made many special memories in the process.
Thanks for a brilliant 8 days CCET and well done. Loved every minute even the sandy beaches!!

I cannot praise the Cape to Cape team enough. From Gene answering our questions, to the kitchen for our delicious meals and the logistics team who arranged our pick ups/drop offs (special kudos to Lucy and Scott). My friend had a shoe induced injury the first day, so we changed our itinerary, which the Cape to Cape tram handled with aplomb, kindness and patience. I really can’t thank them enough. So if you want a challenging, scenic walk, with great food and a #1 pit crew having your back, this is the team to use!
Tip: if self guided, take the actual full guide book (which Cape to Cape will provide) with you or take pics of that days walk instructions. Some sections (eg beach walks) don’t have markers, so it’s easy to get lost and you will def need the guide for the areas with no phone reception.

This was my 1st hiking adventure and my wife's 2nd with C2CET... we opted for the Self-guided option with my husband and our friends.
For a business that has grown exponentially over the last few years and operates, what must be a logistical minefield, it blows my mind that the business founder/owner, Gene, still answers initial enquiries on his phone... this guy is super down to earth, friendly as f@#* and nothing is a problem! 👌
We stayed at Margarets Beach Resort for the duration of our 7 day hike in a 1 bed spa aptmt ... I enjoyed the pool after a day's hike and my wife loved the spa!
We were amply provided with brekkie rations, lunch & dinner for the duration too...and everything was so fresh and yummy!
The drivers we had - Hannah, Mal, Colin, James & BreeZ were great value, very knowledgeable & just top notch folk! (special mention to BreeZ and the laughs we had en route Day 7 ....priceless!! 🤣👌)
And the 'Capes' herself.... well what can I say! She ALWAYS delivers! We were treated to wonderful weather and spectacular views!
BIG Thanks to the C2CET team for looking after us! I will continue to recommend you to everyone! 💚🌳🌞

My husband and I had the 7-day self-guided tour and it has been an amazing experience. Cape to Cape Explorer Tours is highly recommended for many different reasons. Logistics and organization were perfect, communication was very easy with every driver and company member, and for our peace of mind, there is a 24/7 manned mobile phone. Gene and all the team are not only very professional but very knowledgeable, sharing lots of information with us. Both accommodations were of a high standard. Food was not only delicious and different every day - with fresh products from the South West/Margaret River area - but also well-balanced for recovery after a day of hiking. Cape to Cape has incredible diverse scenery and pictures do not give justice to the beauty of the landscape. It can be challenging, but we enjoyed every moment (even the difficult ones). Thank you Gene and staff, your smile and passion for the job will be a great memory of this track to us!

Many, Many thanks to the wonderful Gene for our private highlights day tour of the Cape to Cape. We were 4 families, consisting 8 children ranging in ages from 7 to 12years old and 7 adults who were locally glamping.
Gene, enthusiastically and joyfully picked us up in a mini bus for our wonderful day.
While hiking Gene imparted his knowledge of the Cape to Cape, captivating both adults and children, we discovered that Western Australia was connected to the Indian subcontinent of the supercontinent Gondwana approximately 130 million years ago sharing the same black boulders to this day, indigenous culture, the flora and fauna. A great picnic lunch was provided.
We kayaked the local river, then Gene had us playing a game, when we first entered Mammoth Cave, so much fun!
Thanks to Gene’s great knowledge and organisational skills we had a wonderful day.

They absolutely love and respect the land, nature, their guests and their employees. They're there for you every step of the way, making things easy and ensuring you have fun along the way. Every single detail is taken care of, the organisation is absolutely perfect, the guides and the people behind the scenes are totally in tune. It was a pleasure to see their dedication to Track and to nature, and every day I was surprised by something new and exciting, as they far exceeded all expectations.
The food is fresh, very tasty and there is a very generous supply of tea and coffee available. The accommodation is lovely.

The spring flowers were out, and the weather generally played ball with cool to moderate temperatures. The scenery was magnificent, and the track was pretty easy to navigate with only a few off-piste adventures. If you cannot make time for the whole trip, or don't think you can manage the full 123km, consider the highlights option. We added a wine tasting tour at the end which finished our trip in delightful fashion.

Best hiking tour ever!!!! Hiking the Cape to Cape with this tour company has been the most sensational experience ever! Everyone is so incredibly friendly and helpful, the guides are all lovely and very knowledgeable, the food is great, the accommodation is wonderful, and the hike is simply breathtaking. Highly recommend going in Spring with all the wildflowers out, and being able to see whales and dolphins in the distance. I can't recommend this tour enough! Forever grateful to the whole team for this amazing experience!

FANTASTIC! could not recommend this company and the walk more highly! Gene is incredible, his passion for the area and his client service is incredible. We were so well looked after with accomodation and food with delicious local produce. Would give it a 100/10 if I could! Thanks Gene and crew for an unforgettable week with my mum 😊

In May 2024 I walked the track with 2 friends who came over from Queensland. The 3 of us (Rob 57, Bob 62 & Brad 62 yrs old) chose the 7 day unguided walk. From first telephone inquiry with Gene to final pick up on Day 7 we had the most pleasurable stress fee experience with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours.
Our accomodation was first rate, the food plentiful and tasty and nothing was too much problem for the C2C team. Our drivers were friendly and knowledgeable and Floss from catering was amazing, Thank you Gene and team for an unforgettable week. We especially enjoyed your recommendation to eat at the Brewhouse. Will definitely be looking at a return in the future.
