We had the best time at the muscat blending experience. Popped in a bit early to taste the range of wines then had a tour with history of the winery before blending our own bottle to take home. All staff were fun, informative and so lovely.

MYSTERY OF MUSCAT TOUR AND TASTING A group of friends took this tour and tasting last week which was followed by a delicious lunch platter in the winery’s historic and comfortable Speak Easy room.
Sam, who conducted the tour, is a wonderful ambassador for Stanton and Killeen and the tour and tastings were excellent. Would highly recommend this tour (and all of the four tastings!)

Absolutely worth the visit -service and wine excellent Haven’t been here for over a decade but very glad we dropped in. What can I say? Wines are excellent, a wide variety of styles. We especially loved the Portuguese styles of both the reds and whites. Sampled the fortifieds too and they are, in my opinion, some of the best in the world.
Service was especially notable, we received very attentive service and Robin took his time in talking us through each of the tastings, no pressure to buy anything (but we did anyway). S&K are a standout in the area.

Really lovely tasting experience with a great range of wines. Staff were friendly and engaging and even learnt something new. Fortified was a stand out for me and will definitely come back another time. Highly recommend

Very pleasant Sunday afternoon We dropped into S+K while on a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon. Jess immediately made us feel welcome and was so engaging we spent more time there than we intended! Being on bikes was not an impediment to making some purchases as Jess offered several solutions for pickup or delivery.

Master Blenders What a great experience the Muscat's we tasted were great. Walking through the old wine barrels and then into the new area, seeing the difference of how things are done tasting different Muscat's as we went. Some beautiful hidden gems behind closed doors make this a mystery tour. We then get the chance to blend and bottle our own Muscat using three different Muscat's ranging from 2022 to 8 year old Muscat. You sample the blends and mix them until you find a combination that you like the best this is the one you will bottle.

Experience plus! It was a wonderful experience we all totally enjoyed the drink and the food, totally endorse people to do the experience . Such great fun.

We had a fantastic hens day party hosted by Stanton & Killeen. Sarah and Sam were so helpful in organising the day and ensuring everything was in place when we arrived. Zalan and the other staff were wonderful on the day, greeting us with a delicious on theme cocktail, having everything ready for our paint and sip, yummy platters and providing a fun tour of the cellar. There were multiple beautiful spaces for us to use, a shady outdoor area, cellar door, barrel room and the speakeasy. Wines were delicious and generous. Great value for money too!

This was the BEST tasting I have had at a winery, so warm and friendly yet passionate thank you Stuart. It was so refreshing to see someone else hold a small-batch high quality mindset and beautifully articulate that in a rustic and cozy manner.
From the moment we entered, it did not feel commercial - more like a family of passionate wine-makers eager to share their project with you.

This was the only wine tasting where I did not feel rushed, if anything we felt like we overstayed the session after a good 40 minutes of discussion and also a mini tour of the barrels and back area which Stuart kindly shared with us as it was a quieter day.

The wines were delicious and I would highly recommend their full bodied reds , but of course the main reason I decided to choose this winery - THE PORT.
We purchased an exquisite $120 port which was one of their premium ones however even the base port was delicious.

Well worth the money, and I can't wait to have fond memories every time I sip on the port with my husband and family who came up to Rutherglen with us.

Wineries should actively seek out people like Stuart - they are rare. In a fast and high volume transactional world, it is a golden moment to meet someone who cherishes prime quality process and outcomes such as the wines at SK.

I can't recommend this more, and will be doing a lot of shout outs at my cooking school when we discuss wine pairings and recommendations for Victoria.
I went to that IGA you recommended to get that special local Lamb and it was DELICIOUS - good recommendation and a nice NYE celebration.

We did the tasting at S&K early on New Year’s Eve 2024. Stuart took us through some incredible wines, telling us not just about the wine but also the region, vineyard and his own history with wines. Absolutely the best experience of our trip to the Victorian high country! There were wines there we’d never tried before, such as the Portuguese Arinto, but it was so good we put three bottles in our first wine club order. And of course the stickies were the standout, both the vintages and the muscats. Stuart gave us some great ones to try, all the way up to the rare, which we then took with us through to the back to see how the wine was stored and produced. All up, such a personal and informative experience as I hadn’t receive since the old days of visiting cellar doors - well done all!

Masterclass Muscat Blending Workshop We were given a voucher each for Christmas to the Masterclass Muscat Blending Workshop.
We had no idea what to expect. What a fantastic experience. Thanks to Stanton and Killen staff for making this such a relaxed and informative event.

A must! Many thanks to Robin who recently conducted a “Private Tasting in the Solera Room” for our party of four. We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed afternoon tasting a remarkable range of table and fortified wines, while nibbling on a grazing platter. Robin was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his keen sense of humour. All in all, we had a fabulous time.

Great Winery visit What a wonderful visit to Stanton & Killeen Winery. We had a great tasting, the wines were great and even better one of the best hosts we have ever had at a winery. Stuart really knew his stuff and was fun to deal with and you could tell how much he loved his job. Yes, we left with various bottles of wine and will return.

Great experience at the Stanton and Killeen cellar door. A mix of the traditional Rutherglen fortified varieties and a foray into Portuguese varieties. Charming, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Dogs and cyclists are welcome.

We weren't pressured to buy anything (but did happily). Wines and fortifieds were delicious and unique. Each flavour was distinct and tasting notes on point. Overall, very impressed with the visit and will be recommending to friends and family to visit.

Had a really wholesome lovely experience here last Sunday. Stopped by for a wine tasting and had Robin as our host. Robin was absolute joy to be around! It wasn't too busy at the time so he took us on a little tour of the place. It made for a more memorable experience as you don't get this level of treatment at most wineries. Ended up buying 8 bottles. Would definitely go back and recommend this place to friends.

Great exoerience and better than expected What an amazing experience. My partner gifted me this as a birthday present and we did the experience together. We were the only 2 doing the experience and it was great. Jess took us for the tour and the blending and she was knowledgeable and personable. We felt like we were just spending the day with friends as there was no rush and nothiong seemed stilted; everything was done with warmth and charm. The actual area where we did the blending was amongst the barrels, quiet and warmly lit with rustic lighting. I would recommend this to anyone as the experience was better than either of us would have thought

Stanton & Killeen Wines We were doing our own tour of the area with me as designated driver. These wineries we went to were all very interesting and offered and range of wines etc to taste. I did try the muscat here as it has been a favourite of mine for 40 years.

The blonde short haired lady dealing with us was terrific. Great explantations and patience servicing us with the various wines.

For me the best place for Muscat. They also have a range in 5l glass flagons which is very good. A place not to miss.

Amazing tour and muscat blending Thank you for a wonderful Muscat blending experience. It was so interesting to hear about the long history of the winery and how your family have operated it over the years. Our experience included a tour which was historic and beautiful, and scattered with tastings of fortified wines typical of the region. We then moved on to blend our own muscat through a guided activity teaching us more about the flavours, aromas and texture of muscat. This experience surprised and delighted us and was a highlight of our trip to Rutherglen (hard to do because the whole region is stunning). It was a good experience to try different varieties of wines , the staff was accommodating and friendly. Hopefully they have moscato as well . Overall, place was good in a side of country roads.

My favourite Rutherglen winery experience by a mile. The team were welcoming, knowledgeable and had a drier sense of humour than some of their wines.
We sampled everything they had to pour and went on a tour of the cellar. The venue was pitcuresque and had an amazing atmosphere.

We signed up to their members wine club, we can't wait for our delivery in March! Thanks for the wonderful experience. Dog and duck friendly.

A wonderfully generous exploration of vintage port We recently spent a wonderful 3 hours with Wendy and Natasha and other amazing S&K staff and their neighbours - Chris, Robyn and Jen Pfeiffer to explore a once in a lifetime experience - a vintage port tasting from samples across 70 years and 2 countries. It was a wonderful day that we enjoyed sharing with like-minded port lovers from across the country and something we will never forget!

Passing of the Port We attended the 'Passing of the Port' event comparing Australian vintage fortifieds with Portuguese ports from the 1950s though to current releases. What a great day it was. On display was the passion and commitment of the makers and the enthusiasm and hedonistic joy of the attendees. The next day we also tried some of the dry wines made from Portuguese varieties. These wines were attractive and drinking well as young wines. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Arguably the best winery - full stop! This winery is all class, not because it's done a multi-million dollar renovation but because the people there honour their heritage and love to make excellent fortifieds. Their better muscats have decades old muskat blended in, and their vintage ports are comparable to the best from Portugal. Even the cheaper muscats are fresh, lively and utterly delicious. Their special events should not be missed.

Stuart was an excellent host, taking us comprehensively through the range of wines and fortifieds sharing his depth of knowledge. The unique varieties of Portuguese grapes offered a very pleasant experience. We especially enjoyed the sparklingTempranillo, Grand Muscat and The Prince. Recommend you call by...

5 Star Stanton and Killeen Wine Tasting. What a delightful wine tasting experience this afternoon.
Four of us were taught how to develop our wine journey by Stuart who demonstrated not only his knowledge of the wines but also his passion about the product. We laughed at his past experiences and how he kept us entertained throughout.
We learnt in a relaxed way about the types of wines, foods suitable for each wine, comparisons of different vintages.
The rustic tasting room made for an amazing atmosphere.
I could not recommend more highly this winery and the wines they produce.

Amazing time at the Stanton and Killeen Muscat Blending Experience. Natasha took us on a very informative tour of the wine making facilities - so much history! Then we did the muscat blending with winemaker Adrian carefully explaining each step of the process. It gave us a genuine experience of how the wines come together. Best of all, we got to take away our own specialized bottle of muscat refined to our exact taste :)

Wendy and the team were welcoming. Love the woody interior. Interesting to learn about Portuguese varietals. Keen to get a twenty litre barrel for myself.

Award winning wines We came up for the Rutherglen wine festival and our last stop was this fabulous winery. If we had come here first we probably wouldn't have left, it has award winning wines and a jewel of a staff member in 'Stuart', very knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of the wines! Will definitely come back

My adult son and I loved the Muscat blending class. It exceeded all our expectations. Sam was terrific - full of knowledge about the wineries history and the muscat making process. The blending class was heaps of fun and educational. The young couple we shared the class with were a lot of fun too. We were given different muscats made from different parcels of grapes. Each tasted different and we had four attempts to find the best blend. Our favourite blend was bottled off (375ml) and taken home to give to our friends to taste. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic winery with so many different varieties that I've never tried but am eager to include in my wine rack going forward. Beautiful location with a positive and delightful atmosphere. Perfect spot to spend a couple hours with friends or family. Was extra pleased to meet the *infamous* Josie the Jack Russell from the latest Quinta Quarterly whilst there. *Special shoutout to Steve who made the tasting superb with his engaging, fun and informative style. Can't wait to come back!
