This tour takes you to the historic Richmond village and local vineyards. Richmond has some of the oldest colonial buildings in Australia including the famous Richmond Bridge and Gaol with predates the better know Port Arthur. It contains many boutique shops and galleries. This tour commences visiting 4 premium vineyards in the Coal River Valley region, where you will sample a selection of fine Tasmanian wines. This tour also includes a light platter lunch at a cellar door.
Your itinerary
We depart Hobart CBD at 09:30am where we commence our journey to the Coal River Valley for the 4 cellar door wine tastings selected from vineyards listed below:
Frogmore Creek: Enjoy award-winning wines while taking in breath-taking views of Mount Pleasant and Barilla Bay.
Every Man and His Dog Vineyard: Experience the warm hospitality of Maurice and Helen as you sample their acclaimed wines and relish a delightful wood fired pizza lunch.
Caledon Estate: Enjoy a relaxed, premium cellar door experience with owners Karen and James, showcasing cool-climate wines in an intimate setting.
Pooley Wines: Discover the rustic charm of the heritage-listed Belmont Lodge for cellar door tastings.
Coal Valley Vineyard: Immerse yourself in a cosy cellar door setting with stunning vistas, a perfect backdrop to your wine tasting.
Nocton Vineyard: Unwind at an intimate cellar door, savouring award-winning Sparkling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Merlot.
Wicked Cheese: Indulge in the flavours of award-winning boutique cheese crafted near Richmond.
Richmond Village: Here you will enjoy a relaxed time to explore quaint galleries& boutiques. Visit the Drink Tasmania Tasting House and take advantage of our amazing Tasmanian spirits.
Departure: The Richmond & Wine Tour departs outside the Tasmanian Visitor and Information Centre, Hobart (corner of Davey & Elizabeth Streets) at 09:30 am
Drop off: Information Centre at approximately 4:30pm
