Thoroughly enjoyed the sealion tour this morning with skipper Kevin and guides Alexi and Jippe (I'm so sorry if I spelt anyone's name wrong!). The crew were focused on ethical tourism, giving the sealions the space to interact with us if they wanted - which they definitely did. Sealions are so much fun to watch underwater as they somersault around each other and blow bubbles. Hot drinks and chocolate afterwards are an added bonus. I highly recommend this tour and have every intention of repeating the experience.

What a beautiful day with an amazing crew. We sailed to one island with a mum and her two pubs. Then we continued to another island with loads of sea lions chilling on the beach. When we got close they started to jump into the water and swam towards us. First they chilled and then they played around and in between us, throwing themself out of the water. The big male also got into the water and chilled. There were 13 Sea Lions in total. We got told that it was rare to see that many so i'm very please with this trip. The crew also made great coffee and told us lots of good stuff about the Sea Lions.
Would do again!

2 adults & 1 child (8yo) & we were indecisive regards which tour company to use, eventually settled on JBOE for the extra 30 mins of duration. There were only 12 guests on the boat & the skipper & crew were excellent, helpful & attentive with my daughter; I can't speak highly enough.

We didn't get in the water immediately, rather waited about 40 mins with an impromptu Q&A until the Sea Lions became active & it was a great. Once in, we spent the full 45 mins with them swimming around us, one of them played catch with a starfish, a pair of them were breaching & somehow despite all the attention paid, you can look down & find one has snuck up almost directly underneath the group.

Wetsuits make a real difference removing the chill from the ocean in initial entry & I look forward to seeing the underwater footage the guides took when it lands in a week or so. As a cherry on top, we had a couple of dolphins bow riding & surfing the wake on the way back in. All told, lovely sunny day, no wind, plenty of interaction & some great memories with photos to prove it.

Like you are in your living room wearing a VR helmet & watching one of those NatGeo docs, just with fresh air instead of the smell of Cheetos & butt sweat from your couch. 5 stars - would recommend highly.

Absolutely incredible!! Absolutely incredible experience with Jurien Bay Oceanic Experience! From start to finish, the crew were outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Communication was clear and professional before and throughout the tour, which made everything feel easy and well organised.

The equipment provided was top-quality and very well maintained, giving us complete confidence in the water. Safety was clearly a top priority, and it was great to see how committed they are to protecting and preserving the sea lions while still delivering an unforgettable experience.

One of the best bonuses was that they took photos and videos during the tour — such a fantastic added touch that allowed us to fully enjoy the moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves.

To top it all off, once you’re out of the water they have hot showers and warm drinks like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus Tim Tams — which was such a welcome treat and the perfect way to warm up.

Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jurien Bay. An absolute must-do and worth every cent!

Had the most incredible experience going out to swim with sea lions this morning. Going to likely butcher the spellings here, but Alexis, Skippa (..? So sorry!!) & Kevin were all excellent.

Alexis talked us through a whole load of info & facts about marine life, which added to what was already an unbelievable experience.

I cannot recommend the Oceanic Exp team enough, they’re superb. It was so much more than just a swimming with sea lions experience - which in itself would’ve been MORE than enough.

The most incredible experience swimming with sea lions. I was not expecting them to come so close so was very plesantly surprised. Fantastic to also be able to see a friendly pup! The crew were amazing, friendly, and made sure we were well looked after on the trip!

Loved the sea lion swim and play! We saw a few puppies, which are not around often - very lucky! Very playful! Also some grown up male and female in the water. No touching or feeding, and waiting for the animals to come to you. Nice and experienced team helping if you are not experienced with a snorkel.

Unfortunately my daughter got too cold to stay in the water so we didn’t get to swim with the sea lions but we were lucky enough to have them come right up to the boat which was fantastic. The crew were helpful, offering hot drinks, hot showers and hot water bottles. I would recommend waiting until the sea lions come closer to the group until thinking of taking kids under 10 in the water. It was choppy and tough to swim and inevitably after ten minutes the kids get too cold!

Fantastic experience! I was on a tour this morning (early Oct) with Sari, Conor, Katy, and Luke. As soon as I walked through the door, they made me feel welcome and taken care of. Conor proved to be an expert at picking the right size of wetsuit and in no time at all we were all ready to go on the boat (masks, snorkels, and flippers also all provided). The group was small (10 people, sold out). Luke took us out calmly to Essex Rocks, about a 20 minute super calm boat trip away where we could clearly see dozens of sea lions on the beach. There were a couple of other boats already there, but we staggered out swim time so we got private time with the sea lions. Conor and Sari were fantastic in the water with everyone, including the kids, and the sea lions came right up to us and frolicked around each other doing loops and rolls and living their best life. We must have seen four or five different sea lions in the water at different times. They are super inquisitive and played happily around us. I took along an underwater camera and captured beautiful pictures due to clear clear water, plus Sari and Conor also had go-pros. The link to all footage is shared with the group afterwards. We had a 45 minute swim, most of it in close proximity to sea lions, before returning to the boat where we were treated to a hot shower and a hot drink. The crew also thoughtfully had water bottles for us. Katy treated us to a wealth of information about the sea lions which was fascinating. Then, it was a 20 minute calm trip back tk the harbour. We also saw dolphins in the way out and the way back!
A huge thank-you to our crew for this experience - they were incredibly professional and clear about the boundaries of interacting with the sea lions as well as being super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this as it was the stand-out highlight of the trip to Jurien Bay. Don't be put off by the early morning - this is when the sea lions are the most active, and the crew even had hot water bottles on board to keep us warm! The wetsuits kept us the perfect temperature in the water.

Sari and Andrew did an amazing job!! They took good care of us the whole time, from land to boat and water. Started with a detailed briefing then a nice swim! Not what we expected We jumped into the water to try to see the sea lions, there were very few of them and they were on land. We have been waiting the entire time in the same place in the water to see if they would come but the opportunity has not arisen.

We have not searched an other spot to try to see them in the water and we haven’t gone to see the coral.

We were hoping to see more sea lions in that place (inside or outside the water) we understand that it's nature and today they didn't feel like going in, but at least if you can't see them from the water, it would be nice to be able to snorkel and see the coral instead of standing for 30 minutes in the water waiting to see if they would like to come!

A huge thank you to Sari, Katy, Connor, and Captain Pete for this unforgettable experience! We secretly hoped we’d get to interact with the sea lions.. and to our delight, that wish absolutely came true. We felt so lucky to have such a close and playful encounter. What an incredible morning!

Just finished our amazing tour. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable my 8 year old daughter and I had the best time. Their patience and kindness ensured we had the most incredible experience, and their knowledge and respect for the sea lions and their habitat was amazing. The boat was comfortable and we felt very safe. Hot chocolate afterwards was perfect. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end Peter, Katy and Sari absolutely fantastic. From the moment we met them and they were friendly welcoming and informative. The equipment we used was Top quality. But the best moment was when we jumped into the water with those amazing sea lions. The sea lions danced, blew bubbles and seem to be playing with us. It was a memory that will last a long time. Highly recommended give it a go.

I did a sea lion swim. At the first destination the Sea Lions didn't really come out and we did get to do a snorkel. We were offered a second chance at a different location. We ended up having a few sea lions come and have a play with us. Amazing. The boat was lovely and the guides were great. We got hot tea and Tim Tams after each swim. I'm not an expert at snorkelling and the guides always ensured that I was all good. It was one of the best experiences I had in WA

This was a great tour beautiful boat ride out and well organised to swim with sea lions hop off boat and snorkel and wait to see if sea lions enter the water they didn't but it was still a great day trip out and they stayed longer to see if they'd move not encouraged at all you could see them from the boat lazing on the beach..I would go again the water crystal clear and hosts were very nice and full of info.

It was so damn exciting to swim with the sea lions. We swam with about 3 or 4 of them. They were very inquisitive and came up close to us a few times. We waited in the boat for some time before getting in as there was another boat load of people already in the water but it was so worth the wait as we saw way more sea lions. Our tour guides were very helpful and knowledgeable, the boat and the snorkelling gear was great.

Christmas gift I got a voucher for Xmas from my wife. This was an awesome gift. The two young lady's that were the deckies were great at getting people ready and had heaps of facts about the sea lions. Sorry ladies I am terrible with names. The skipper got us out and back with all crew and passengers accounted for at the end.
We managed to have plenty of encounters with the sea lions. The wetsuits kept the chill to a minimum.
The team was very professional and I would highly recommend joining them for an awesome experience.

Best experience ever An absolutely incredible experience today snorkeling with the sealions. So many came over to interact with us. Closer than I could of imagined. However, the absolute stars were the crew. As a nervous swimmer, I was able to hold onto the float that Feandos towed. This allowed me to enjoy the experience without panicking. All the other crew were equally as friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend x

These guys are top shelf. Highly reccomend!! We booked on both the sealion trip and the cray fishing trip. There were sharks in the water so we could t go in but we still enjoyed the experience. Cray fishing was going to be cancelled because of bad weather but we asked them about a shorter trip in spite of the weather and they oblidged. Probably at a cost to them but they still took us out to save us being disappointed. And we were not disappointed. Amazing customer service and we would highly reccomend you use this company!!

Had an amazing experience out on the sea lion tour today! The Captain, Rory and Nando were all super friendly and made the morning comfortable and easy for all of us! Wetsuits and equipment were quality (thanks for the loan of the Go Pro handle Rory!) plenty of seating for everyone (especially loved the beanbags up on front deck!). Weather was nice and clear and we saw lots of seals jumping around having a great time! Crew were very helpful and attentive taking photos for everyone and helping one of our daughters who was not a strong swimmer to still have a good time and see the seals! Highly recommend this tour, 10/10 thanks for a great family memory guys!!! 🦭🦭🦭

My sister and I had a great time with Jurien Bay Oceanic Experience! On our original booking date the visibility was extremely poor and the sea lions never really ventured out, so they let us come again two days later. We are so glad we did because the visibility was better and the sea lions were sooo playful!! It was a great experience.

Additionally, the crew and staff are all very friendly and informative. You can tell they really care about keeping both the sea lions and tourists safe, and ensuring humans and animals alike have positive interactions. Highly recommend!

What a great experience! My son and I joined the lobster catch and keep experience, it was amazing. Staff are friendly and explained everything to us. We were so lucky the pots were full of crays and we got 8 each. Highly recommended

A great experience I went on the Marine Park tour with another swimmer and 2 observers.
We snorkelled at 2 spots - the first along a reef where an island on which there were young sea lions and fur seals. We were not allowed to interact with them as it was a breeding colony. We did see heaps of different fish and crayfish and coral.
The second spot was a sea lion resting island where we were allowed to interact if the sea lions chose to. Unfortunately they did not want too. Still, there was plenty of things to see while snorkelling.
The crew were fantastic - pointing out things and always on hand to help or answer questions.

Absolutely amazing day,even though the wind was up just a bit it didn't stop the team from giving a experience I didn't expect.
I highly recommend doing this if you happen to be in jurien bay for the day,a must do .

Amazing experience I booked in to do the sea lion tour last weekend with my friend who was visiting from the UK.

There were 2 other boats already there when we arrived at the island and the sea lions were swimming with those groups, however they must have been tired out by the time we got in the water as they all decided to nap on the beach for the duration of our 45 minutes in the water.

Even with no sea lions I would still have no hesitation recommending the tour, the boat, swimming gear and staff were all top notch. The two ladies on the boat were really friendly and informative (as was the captain) and the hot chocolate and tim tams were a great touch!

On the return to the shore we were told that due to no sea lion interaction we were welcome to another trip for FREE! Totally unexpected and hugely appreciated!

Incredible AMAZING. A once in a lifetime experience. We were lucky that the sea lions decided to come out and play. It is luck of the draw as the boat before us left without success. The team was so professional. The sea Lions were not harassed or coerced in any way. We waited in the water with our wetsuits on until they decided to check us out.

Really amazing experience! Despite the fact that the seals didn’t come to swim with us, the snorkel was great, water amazing and staff and boat even better.

Great trip! We were super lucky and saw/swim with dolphins after the interaction with a sea lions. The crew also gives some extra explanation about everything

10/10 experience. The staff were lovely and really elevated the day. There really isn’t anything like swimming with wild sea lions ???? it was really nice to share the ocean with these creatures and appreciate them for what they are without disturbing them. The sea lions came into the water in their own time, and it felt nice knowing we had supported a business that was respecting the sea lions protection & space. Definitely recommend! If you’re thinking about doing it- do it, you won’t regret it!

Highly recommended I loved my experience with this company. The guides were super friendly and knowledgeable, the equipment they lent out was high quality, and the boat was large & roomy. I especially appreciated the warm water hose for a quick post-wetsuit removal wash (as well as, in my case, washing the salt water out of my eyes!). I would definitely recommend them.

We booked the “Marine Park Experience” tour and had a remarkable trip! Firstly, we would like to thank our tour guides and the skipper for everything. The tour itself was wonderful as well! There are two stops where you go into the water: One to swim with Sea Lions. They are very playful and curious animals who love to come very close to human visitors. The second stop is near a gorgeous calm lagoon where you can see all sorts of underwater life (beautiful fish, corals, sea snails and numerous other animals). The last stop is in a calm bay, where lunch was provided.
All in all, we had a wonderful morning and would strongly recommend this tour and the people behind this ????

Amazing! The crew were friendly and very knowledgeable- one was a Marine Biologist. The seals were very interactive, only a few at a time. Two pups came out and were very playful.The absolute surprise for me was the coral reef we explored- beautiful coral and so many fish. Bonus is they take Go Pro footage and email to you. Would highly recommend.

We did the Lobster Catch and Keep Tour in a large group and the boat caught about 26 Lobsters in total, which was more than enough for us. Friendly and informative crew. Would recommend

Amazing sea lion encounter; tumbling pair playing right in front of us. Boat ride smooth in morning sun and crew look out for us throughout, ensuring we were safe in the water and got the best experience possible. Would definitely go again.

Honestly such a perfect experience you have to do this. They are so knowledgeable and lovely and we got to swim so close to the sea lions who were so playful. This place is definitely the best one to be with the sea lions as well as look after them in the area :) they also take footage with a gopro during it for you to see after

My husband and I embarked on the lobster tour today 19/10/23. Crew were there to greet us at the jetty. The crew were friendly, chatty and happily shared there knowledge. Met other travellers and had a wonderful tour. Couldn't have asked for better weather, clear blue skies, beanbags on the deck were such a great idea, even spotted a whale on our trip. Well organised and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested. Just do it ! We were over the moon with our catch ( 8 in total for us)happy days.

Highly recommended tour! The crew team is very knowledgeable and helpful, especially Fernando! Really appreciated Fernando’s assistance!The entire trip is organized very well: we had an hour in the sea, interacting with several seals, and we could see the seals on the beach, walking, running and singing. And we were offered hot drinks and cookies after getting back to boat.

Staff were amazing and super friendly. We had multiple sealions interacting with us, one even following us the entire way and nipping at our flippers. We also got to snorkel around the reef.

Can’t recommend this tour enough. Absolutely spectacular experience. The crew were incredibly lovely , informative and very helpful. They look after you so well throughout the time on the boat and at sea. Saw so many sea lions very up close, in their natural habitats. They are incredibly playful and come right up to you and swim around you. Was just in awe of these beautiful creatures. Even if you don’t swim and want to sit on the boat you get to see them surfaces and swimming around near the boat. They provide you with wetsuits and snorkel equipment on the boat. There is a lovely hot shower on the boat if you want to get quickly changed after. 10/10 best tour.

A 15min fast-boat trip out to Essex rocks marine park then 45 min- 1h in the water snorkeling beside the reef that separates the main ocean from the sea lion breeding ground island. Took us a long while before the sea lions ventured off land out to play with us this morning (7.30am tour) but when they did it was absolutely magical. The guides were excellent and helped everyone to see a sea lion up close. Wetsuits, fins, snorkels and life vests (if needed) were all provided. Hot drink and a biscuit when back on board to return back to the Harbour
