Experience the many moods of Uluru at sunset with an uninterrupted view. Admire the immensity of Uluru as you immerse yourself in the environmental changes of this world-renowned icon. Relax with a glass of sparkling wine and light refreshments as the sun sets in the west. A photographer’s dream for that postcard shot of an Uluru sunset.
After sunset, an SEIT Guide will transfer you to the AAT Kings’ exclusive barbecue site. The site is within the Uluru National Park, set amongst red sand dunes and desert oak trees providing a peaceful desert setting. The site is located far enough away from the resort lights to provide a clear view of the stars in the southern sky (weather permitting). Once at the site, you will enjoy a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by a glass of wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, tea, coffee and dessert will be served. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight (weather permitting). The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars before you return to Ayers Rock Resort.
* Special dietary requests must be advised before 2pm on the day of joining the tour.

Our kids are twelve and enjoyed the entire trip!

On the tour, we spend more time in the van driving than at the site. It takes 45 minutes to drive to Kata Tjuṯan and the gorge walk is only and hour and fifteen minutes. Tour makes no sense. The poor guide had to come up with an hour and a half of information.

Watching the sunrise over Ayers Rock during the breakfast stop was absolutely breathtaking. The food itself (coffee, tea, and pastries) was decent enough, but the real star is the spectacular view.
The short walk around part of the rock was both informative and manageable, even in the height of summer. The drive around the base was another highlight, giving a rare opportunity to see the rock from multiple angles—something you don’t fully appreciate from the resorts.
Throughout the tour, we learned a detailed history of Uluru and its deep significance to the local Aboriginal people, adding even more depth to the experience. The sheer awe-inspiring beauty of the rock is something that must be seen in person. Highly recommend this tour!
The breakfast pack was delicious and very filling - I wasn't sure what to expect, however the options provided exceeded my expectations and was very thoughtfully put together.
We would definitely recommend this organisation and tour to visitors to Uluru.
