Wish I’d read the Trip Advisor reviews first. Dreadful experience.
My Mum has some specific dietary needs, so we’d emailed a few days before to check with them and were assured she could be accommodated.
Queued up for twenty minutes to get to the table we had pre-booked, so we ordered food half an hour after our original booking (due to the wait). We all ordered drinks and a main, as well as the discussion about my Mum’s meal. All fine so far. Fifteen minutes later we were told we had 15 minutes before we needed to leave for the next seating. This was sorted out pretty quickly.
Forty five minutes between the first of the eight mains to the last arriving at the table, even though we all ordered together. My Mum’s meal took three different revisions from the kitchen who kept saying that they couldn’t make a dish with no added salt despite checking earlier in the week with the restaurant.
To apologise they were not going to charge for her meal.
Bill comes, we’ve been charged for her meal so another twenty minute wait to get that sorted.
Also mixed up the allergy requests for two other meals and the wait staff had no idea which was which.
Frankly, the place is a rabble with a nice view.

Nice atmosphere, Ceviche was overpowered by spice/chilli. Very busy coupled with slow service. Back again in December- hopefully it will be better ?

A modern large brewery tap room set up that has a great position adjacent to the Busselton Pier. Apart from a toasted crumpet from the café section we didn’t eat here as we primarily popped in midafternoon to try their beers of which there were several (something like 14 different ones) to choose from.
The couple of beers we tried were very good but as a tap room experience it all left me a bit cold as the high ceilings and modern build all made it a bit sterile and lacking in atmosphere.
It was good, but as far as a craft beer tap room experience goes I much preferred the Beerfarm and the Margaret River Brewhouse.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but I order a limited release wheat beer (excellent- world class), the hand cut chips (not bad - a bit cold and not enough sauce) and a wood fired prosciutto pizza pizza (not so good that I ate half of a slice). Why was the pizza not so good, a good crust with pizza sauce, nice, crisp and warm, but oh my the topping! The topping was supposed to be tomato (non seen), prosciutto (warm but not cooked with fat rendered), chili flakes (non seen), rocket (they got that right), Parmesan (sprinkled on as an afterthought and fresh sitting like and invitation gone bad on top of the prosciutto.
After only eating a small bit it drew the attention of the Manager after numerous staff walked passed pretending not to notice. The Manager was very professional, acceptable of the feed back and offered a refund (declined), to take the pizza home (no thank you) and then offered a refund again (accepted as I was still hungry).
If there is a next time, I’ll stick to the exceptional and excellent beer and maybe a bar snack at best.
Noted this was just a personal experience on a particular day, and not hung may be different for others, cheers.

Great dining experience, very good service, very enjoyable meals. We sat at the 'bar' as no table seats were available, it was quite comfortable and service very prompt and polite. The pizza was served in a very timely manner and was enjoyable.

The clams were tasty and fresh, really good if you like seafood. Service was fine, staff friendly and helpful.

Bread came complimentary at first, but we finished it quickly and ordered more. Charged full price, no discount. Weird because it’s $2 only if we had bought it together.

Burger was just okay, nothing special at all.

Overall, it’s a tourist spot near Busselton jetty, easy to walk to, nice vibes but food average. Go for the location, not the food.

We came for a mid-journey snack as we drove towards Margaret River. The garlic butter mussels (mild spicy) were good value for money. They came with 2 slices of bread for dipping into the sauce. The mussels were fresh, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Service was prompt and great. We got a nice seat facing Busselton Jetty. There were some road closures along the way but didn’t affect the traffic much.

— Conveniently located right by Busselton Jetty, we stopped by here twice during a short stay in Busselton - once for lunch and the other for post dinner drinks. The beer paddles are great for trying out their many different beers. Really liked the huge space too with high ceilings, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We also picked up some cute merch and takeaway drinks on our last day in Busso!

We had visited the Busselton Jetty underwater observatory and decided to call in to the Shelter Brewing Co bar & restaurant for a sundowner. The location as the sun came down was atmospheric and the in-hose brewed beer was excellent. However the staff fell well short in customer care. The waitress who showed us to our table was surly at best. Having shown us to a table in the exposed and windy part of the outdoor area, I asked if we could have an empty table in the more sheltered area, but she advised that these were already reserved, which we understood. However a couple who were leaving, kindly offered us there table which we were pleased to accept. The waitress appeared miffed at this and exclaimed that it was just as windy as the table she had offered us. This was clearly not the case, but who wants to start an evening with an argument over tables? Next to the bar to order drinks. I tried to engage the barman about the range of drinks and the sizes of the small or large drinks which were not clearly distinguishable. The answers were clear but blunt and no attempt was made to welcome me and make me feel valued. A smile can go a long way, but there was no sign of that. My partner visited the bar for a second round of drinks and exclaimed on return that 'we would not becoming here again', as despite being clearly first at the bar and the next to be served, the barman ignored her and served someone else. That's when I decided a review was necessary.

Most of the food (burgers) arrived cold, which is unacceptable considering the cost. My meal (squid) arrived after my family had completely finished eating, which only came after asking several times to check on the whereabouts of my meal. My squid was extremely salty, and very disappointing having had to wait for such a long time. Overpriced and very expensive for the portion sizes. Service is very average. Very chaotic arrangement!!

Great local brewery/ pub that caters to small and large groups. Service staff are warm and the food is decent. Wait time for food is within reason. You will want to make reservations If group size is more than 6. Ample parking and certain tables will have views of the jetty. Outside sitting is available for patrons with pets or wanting to bask in the sub/ gas heaters.
Payment is cashless via their online ordering or the wait staff can take your orders and payment made via eftpos.

Usually visit the Shelter every time we come to Busso. I was controversial about the Bratwurst as a menu item when it’s not Octoberfest a few months ago. Thought I’d give it a crack . Long & skinny , not that typical fat juicy Bratwurst. But the whole thing was delish , loved the side of sauce as well. Kids menu needs chicken nuggets or something else kids love , as it is limited. Main menu still needs a few more options.
Customer service is fast & friendly.

Shelter Brewing Co has a great location right by the foreshore with a lively vibe and plenty of seating. The beers are decent and the setting makes it a good spot to relax.

That said, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. Service was a bit slow, the food was average for the price, and surprisingly there were no fish and chips on the menu – which felt like a big miss for a coastal brewery. Overall, it’s more about the venue than the quality. Worth a visit, but not outstanding – 3 stars.

A Super delicious lunch, amazing gluten free options! I ate the chilli mussels- a massive serving and so delicious, accompanied with a gluten free sourdough.
My son loved his apple juice and scoffed an entire pizza.
Service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely return soon :)

Stopped in for an afternoon brew before heading out for dinner. Great spot, good service, and their own food menu looked like it would hit the spot. We'll definitely be back to sample it next time we're in Busselton.

Had a lovely lunch and experience today,my husband and I totally enjoyed our delicious lunch, shout out to the kitchen staff food was delicious and arrived quickly and pipping hot.
Our experience was all the more enjoyable also due to the lovely young lady that took our order Hayley thankyou you made our visit, you are such a great friendly obliging young lady such a valuable staff member I hope management pass on our appreciation.
Really recommend a visit to the restaurant near the Bussleton jetty.

Nice place, have been here a few times as walk-ins, thankfully as a couple so didn’t have an issue being seated as it is a super busy place - highly recommend to book if you’re going on a weekend with more than 4ppl.
We were sat at the bar which was actually nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of people. I enjoyed a tasting paddle and both hubby and I had the bratwurst for lunch, which was top notch!!

We dropped by for an evening on the weekend and were relieved to find no queue, which we were seated quickly and could relax right away.

The pork chop was delicious, really standing out as a highlight of the meal. The pizza was average in flavor.

Nice touch that coloring sheets were given to kids complimentary, which kept them entertained before the meal.

We spent $90 for 2 adults and 2 children.

Great ambience here, there’s table service, bar service or QR code ordering. I enjoyed the pizza and chicken wings, the rest of the table reported the prawn buns were disappointing as was the bratwurst. Mussels were decent though!

We had a great lunch - staff were excellent, even though it was very busy. Salads were sensational - the beetroot and cauliflower are what we had. Fab playlist too :)

Not normally somewhere we'd go, but enjoyed the great atmosphere and the pizza was awesome. Staff were friendly. Definitely will visit again and hope to try their chilli mussels.

Stopped here for a late, light lunch after travelling most of the day. Servers were really friendly and offered suggestions suited to my appetite. I had the squid and a cider - both were delicious. Food came out very quick, despite the place being packed.

Worst pizzas we have ever had. Setting is lovely and drinks are reasonable, service is fine but the food was AWFUL. Nice place for a drink only.

Fantastic food, the squid is a must order. Might head back for dinner again later tonight. Pizzas were awesome, chicken wings are to die for. They also have plenty of options and tasting slates available for their beers.

Had an awful experience yesterday. We walked in looking for a table for four. Lots of staff milling around, young man begrudgingly brings us to a high table, slaps menus on the table and walks off. We’ve two toddlers so not really suitable for us so I ask one of the female front of house staff if there would be a table more suitable for our family, which by the way there are heaps! Heaps and heaps of table space all through the floor. She is the most unprofessional in her response, she mutters under her breath eh probably not!!!??? We ask so are all the multiple tables we see dotted around booked out and she snaps yes and walks off! WOW! Somebody shouldn’t be working in hospitality if they have no manners! I spot a table become available where the couches are so I go over, ask another staff member if I can sit and he’s super friendly and say yes no problem! We spend close to two hours eating and the entire time we are all the tables and more that were supposedly booked out remain empty. Clearly the front of house need a refresher on how to speak to customers, how to turn tables and how to work the booking system. If I was management or the owner I’d be fuming. Friday arvo and staff turning away customers!! Not cool.

Shelter Brewing Co in Busselton is a fantastic spot for a relaxed outing. The staff delivers good and friendly service ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. The menu is packed with delicious options. The food was tasty and portion sizes were reasonable. Whether you’re enjoying a casual meal or a drink by the iconic Busselton Jetty it's definitely a good dinning experience. Restaurant is popular and gets crowded but lots of seating available. Pricing on the high side.

Great Venue, Great Food. We visited Shelter with friends on Saturday night, and as usual, had a great evening. The food was lovely, and the service was excellent. We had pizza, salt & pepper squid and the cauliflower dish. It was all delicious. We would definitely recommend this venue. It always delivers

Lovely atmosphere Stopped in here for lunch after the jetty walk. Staff were lovely, food was delicious and service was fast. Good prices too.

A great pub atmosphere Had a mid week lunch with some friends. Nice, relaxing atmosphere & lovely outdoor area with ocean & Bussleton jetty views. Super friendly staff who were most attentive - they even came to let us know that an onsite brewery tour was about to begin if we would like to join in!! Easy to use the on table ordering. Good sized meals and the cheeseburger was delicious!

What a gem! The Shelter Brewing Co in Busselton was an absolute delight. The atmosphere was electric. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

The beer paddle was a standout, offering a fantastic variety of flavors. The food was equally impressive, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and generous portions. We especially loved the fresh pizza.

If you're looking for a great place to enjoy a delicious meal, cold beer, and good company, The Shelter Brewing Co is a must-visit. We can't wait to return!

Great food great service This is my second review of Shelter, with a star added. Went on a Monday evening in the school holidays. Table service by James was professional and friendly- very impressed by his ability to remember our order in its entirety. He also showed great knowledge with my partner choosing beers. Also had a lovely server with accent whose name I didn’t grab… she was super sweet and helpful in trying to get more colouring sheets for my children. Great service from everyone really. My only criticism is the vegetarian main options are limited. However the honey carrots, chips and the corn poppers were great.

Cold coffee The last two times I've been for coffee it's been Luke warm. My friends also not happy about their coffee being Luke warm. Sort it out or loose custom.

Relaxed chill hangout for dinner
Located next to Busselton jetty, this serves great Australian fare. I had a slow cooked lamb rump that was juicy and tender. Rest of gang had pizzas. Place is famous for their microbrewery - have a paddle to get a taste of a few varieties. Recommended if you’re in the area

What a great brewery in an excellent location.

Food came out so quickly and all the dishes were amazing.

We had the brisket, lamb ribs, cauliflower, carrots, brussel sprouts and hand cut chips. All amazing.

Plus the kid's meatball sub and pizzas were excellent.

Definitely returning.

Great ambience and food but maybe a bit racist in my opinion One of the best restaurant in Busselton Jetty. Food was great and nice. But a bit hot as the restaurant got sunlight shine in. Very sad on one thing is we were not serve with cutlery. My husband got to go find it ourself. He realised that some of the staffs were very friendly and served full cutlery to their locals. They ignore us maybe we are Ch..ese. But we are Singaporean. Not all yellow skin is bad. As a touristy area, they should treat everyone equal with respect.

Really bad experience Ordered coffee and food. When food did not arrive was told order was lost. By then coffee finished!!! No real apology nor offer for another coffee. When food arrived it was straight out of the microwave overcooked and so hot we could not even touch it. Attitude of staff was really poor. Don’t go there at all.

Great place to enjoy a few beers. Pepperoni pizza and calamari are unfortunately salty for my order😩 I was lucky to have ordered the beer paddler with 4 small glasses of beer to wash down the salt.

Refreshing Beer & absolutely fabulous Wood Fired Pizza We absolutely loved the wood fired pizza. We had the Prosciutto and the Prawn. And the beers were refreshing and full flavoured. The staff were very helpful and we loved the ambiance. There was easy wheelchair access also. The only tiny hiccup was when we wanted to pay with cash, and they only accepted card payments, which they’d forgotten to tell us as we were checking in. But it really didn’t matter. We really enjoyed our visit to Shelter Brewing Co.

Great food at a great location with fine beer - what else is there to ask for? With the exception of the pork knuckles, which I would prefer the German way, the rest are really well done. Huge selection of beer to choose from, all brewed in house, which will wash down all the deliciousness into that happy belly.

Just right outside Busselton jetty and beautiful playground. We weren't very hungry when we arrived so we had only the veer and 2 small dishes. The salt and pepper calamari was a bit too salty for our liking but the fresh Squid saves the day. Got tp try 4 types of beer and the India pale ale was the easiest to drink.

When I tell you these pizzas are huge, I mean these pizzas are HUGE & they defo didn’t skimp on the toppings.
Staff was friendly, service was speedy and the vibes were on point.
Perfect spot to watch the sunset.

Usually when you’re out, there’s either salad, chips or burger left over.

But this plate is freaking clean as! ????

Waiter was super attentive. We have a family member struggling to cut our burger with the knife provided. Without having to ask we were given a steak knife.

We visited this place for dinner during our end-of-year camping in Dunsborough. The place was quite full, but we were lucky to get a table. All the food was good, but the best was the mussels. We ordered mild and it was PERFECT! All my family really enjoyed the food and the vibe. The staff was friendly and professional.

Quite busy, and some staff is more attentive and well informed than others.
Food and drinks were great.
While the vegan burger had a Beyond patty that I’m not personally a big fan of, the whole burger in total was one of the best I’ve ever had - crispy bun, juicy onions, tons of flavors and textures.
Italian food snob partner approved of the pizza!

We stopped by every time we come down in Busselton because it’s simply the best place. Everything is amazing: food, drinks, atmosphere, view right in front of the main park and beach.
This time we had visitors from interstate and they loved this brewery too. Even though we didn’t have a booking and we came down during the Christmas holiday season they were able to accommodate us, after doing a bit of line.
My personal favorite is the poke bowl, but even the squid with chili sauce were tender and delicious with that spicy flavor that makes you want more. We ordered also prawn pizza (very nice), prawn brioche (awesome), pork schnitzel sandwich and fish fingers sandwich.
This is really the best place in Busselton!

Awesome location and view out in the bay. Indoor and Outdoor seating beautifully arranged. It was busy being lunchtime during school holidays Sunday. Only a short wait to be seated, table got cleaned once we got there too which was nice to see. We ordered via the app from a great menu choice and were surprised how quickly the food came out of the kitchen even during busy times. Food, beer, wine and soft drinks were spot on. Delicious, fresh produce well prepared absolute delight and big portions too. We had 1/2 pizza left and got a takeaway box for it. Great and friendly service...congratulations that was 5/5, we will be back

Poor quality We ordered the chilli king prawns from the Large (To Share) menu and were presented with 11 mediocre sized prawns for $40. The prawns were of a poor quality, they had a very pungent flavour, were mushy and we couldn't even finish the small quantity that we had as they tasted awful, as was the tomato sauce they came with. Very disappointing dish.

Go somewhere else Not a restaurant, its a school cafeteria. Can't even make fries! Not recommended! When you complain the manager gives you attitude!!! Worst ever!!!!!!

Great beach vibe Great relaxed beach vibe here. We had the crab, prawn brioche and mussels. All were large portions and the food was lush. We both tried the beer paddle, definitely worth a go to try the different drinks they have on offer. Really good quality and choice. A must visit in Busselton

It was a good call to change our lunch place and came to Shelter Brewery. We initially wanted to go to The Goose, but it was so busy and they only had outside seatings and even though the views were nice, the thought of having tons of flies flying around your face and nose while eating was just...yuck! ???? So we moved to Shelter Brewery instead. It was busy too, but it has more open space and better settings. I really like the high ceilings design and also the giant humpback whale drawing by Ian Daniell. I love whales so I absolutely love his drawing. I just wish they still sell his merch shirts with the whale print. I saw the staff wearing it and it looks so cool, but unfortunately the website said it's all sold out ☹️ Anyway of course we're there for the food and everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Loved3x the beer! Generous portions, amazing and friendly service by all staff and we didn't wait long at all for the food. I haven't had chilli mussels for a while so that was just perfect! Will be back!

NOT FOR ROMANCE This venue is located on the foreshore. The brewing equipment is on display on the upper floor. The eating area is huge, This is good for catering for large crowds such as our group but not conducive to a quiet & relaxing meal. In fact it was like eating in a large people factory. Our meals were ok & probably more like pub grub.

Best place to eat in Busselton Excellent food, good menu, reasonable prices, spacious seating, waterfront location. nice ambiance. Recommended

This venue doesn't like your cash !!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely disgusted at not being able to pay cash at this venue,I have been scammed twice with my card and refuse to use it, not everybody has a credit card,you should make allowances for people who prefer to pay with real money!!!!!! It's a shame as the food was lovely,I won't be going back and I'll make sure everybody knows. Shame on you Shelter.

Visited here for dinner, we had a Margarita stone baked pizza. Very enjoyable. Service was also very good. My 3rd old son was given colouring pencils and a picture which kept him very happy.

Best in Busselton We are Busselton locals and Shelter is our favourite spot. They consistently have great food and the views are the best in town. Love the atmosphere and the friendly service
