Small group Seal Swim - Private charter

Revel in the stunning views of the Mornington Peninsula coastline before enjoying the dip of a lifetime! Swim in the sheltered shallow waters with these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. The Australian Fur Seals is one of our most popular and loved animal encounters.
We head out to the shallow waters of the Chinaman’s Hat, a purpose-built platform where over 100 local resident seals are sleeping in the sun. Moonraker cruises into the shallow clear waters and surrounding the boat are friendly, playful and inquisitive juvenile seals.
See giant smooth Rays glide beneath you on the sandy seabed, whilst Seals dart back and forth, eager to swim and dive with you. There is so much beautiful marine life to observe.

Thanks Torie and team, keep up the good work!

Our family had an absolutely fantastic time on this dolphin sightseeing cruise! From start to finish, the experience was enjoyable and well-organized. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and informative, sharing interesting facts about the marine life and making sure everyone had a great time.
We were lucky enough to see multiple pods of dolphins playing in the water, which was an incredible sight, and we even spotted some seals! The whole experience was breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a better outing.
If you’re looking for a fun and memorable adventure, we highly recommend this cruise!

We had the most incredible experience with Moonraker Dolphin Swims in Sorrento! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, professional, and truly magical.
The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about marine life, making the whole adventure even more special.
Swimming with wild dolphins and seals in their natural habitat was an experience like no other. The guides ensured everyone felt safe and comfortable, giving clear instructions and making sure we got the best possible view of these amazing creatures. The water was clear, and being so close to the dolphins as they swam effortlessly around us was absolutely breathtaking.
The boat itself was spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of room to relax in between swims. Even if you’re not getting in the water, the sightseeing and marine wildlife make it well worth the trip.
Overall, Moonraker offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for an adventure. If you’re in Sorrento, this is an absolute must-do!

The diving suit was challenging to get on, and I felt very constricted, but I was told it should loosen up once in the water, which it did. They also brought an extra suit on board the boat just in case. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and provided clear instructions. We attempted to slide in the water with the dolphins on 5 different instances and I never managed to see the dolphins. I did however manage to swallow much of the seawater. Visibility wasn't too good, which I think may have played a factor. I did see the dolphins a few times while sightseeing on the boat.
I had a more positive experience with the seals swim. Although after being advised by the crew that we shouldn't get too close to the structure that the seals were lounging on as they have been known to go potty over the side, I didn't get close enough to see much for the first half of the swim. I did get to see the graceful stingray gliding across the sea floor. Then, I found my spot, near where the seals were diving into the water and I just stayed floating, allowing them to swim up and around me. They were so curious! It was a wonderful experience.
The sandwiches and banana bread that were served for lunch were very good. I had seconds of banana bread. They also have a hot shower and a nicely appointed washroom available for guests. You can also purchase photos and videos that the crew takes in the water for a nominal fee. I recommend this tour.

The staff were really lovely and really helpful and the boat was awesome, lots of space, toilets one had a shower to rinse off and there’s a cafe/bar where you can buy snacks if you need, although lunch is included!
They had lots of new wetsuits and as it was October the water and air was cold so they had thermal jackets for over our wetsuits.
I thought this was a great tour and we really had a good time. Value, fun and we got what we paid for plus more.

Our daughter was thrilled after snorkelling with dolphins and seals
Special thanks to Lou who was fantastic and was literally taking care of everything, be it the guets swimmming, the kitchen, the boat. Hats off to her!
From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to make our experience memorable. The staff's enthusiasm was infectious, and it immediately set a positive tone for the entire trip.
What truly stood out was their willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs and preferences. Furthermore, their energy and enthusiasm injected a sense of joy and excitement into the atmosphere, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It was evident that they took pride in their work and genuinely cared about the satisfaction of their guests.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of the young staff who made our boat ride an unforgettable experience. Their exceptional service, coupled with their genuine passion and dedication, truly set them apart. I would highly recommend this boat ride to anyone seeking an extraordinary adventure on the water. Thank you to the entire team for a truly memorable experience!

Boat arrived late, as in 30 minutes,
despite us getting numerous messages to be there at 11.45am.

What a beautiful, healthy bay we have.
All of the crew were so supportive and engaging. Jess and Hudson made it really special.
Highly recommend
All the crew are amazing, attention to detail and everything is first rate.
Thank you all, one happy family experience here.
We swam with both seals and dolphins!

We were put onto their boat last minute, which saved the day.
My partner swam and loved it, said the experience with the seals was incredible. I sat safely on the boat and enjoyed every minute. So many up close on the boat of both seals and dolphins.
Was the perfect amount of time, lovely hot drinks and scones.
We will be back as bring out boys for this years birthday presents.

Crew were very helpful and friendly.
Great experience.
Be sure to wear your bathers under your clothes, and bring a towel.

3 hours full of experiences: Dolphins everywhere playing and happily jumping on the surface swimming next to and under the swimmers, Seals in their environment, clean water, staff willing to serve clean and comfortable environment: we loved this experience but more the children!
We look forward to the next time!
Thank you for everything

2. Went on the journey to the seal pavilion where plenty of seals are to be sighted and some playfully get very close to us in the water. This is the best part of the trip. A lot of fun!
3. I got my best shots from GoPro uploaded and see how they look. The videos somehow stuck at 2/3 of the whole length when I play them on laptop, with sound goes on to the end but picture freezes. Hope someone can help me here if possible. But anyway, just get a water-proof cover for your own phone would be much easier!
4. Another disappointment when we were told the water is not clear enough to see sea dragons, which is common, as we were interested for what was posted on the website.

I surprised my partner and her/our children and it was as good as the first time.
I have done the activity before so wanted to share it with my family for a summer holiday day out. It was just as good if not better!
The staff were so incredibly helpful and made sure the kids got to see the animals plus gave them lots of snorkeling lessons. I cant say enough about how good this tour was, food, drinks and friendly staff it was money well spent. See you in a few years!

The 2nd half of the tour was rather disappointing but credit to the boat crew who did their best to locate the dolphins. It took a long time to finally locate the dolphins but the boat crew said that we had to head back to shore for the boat to take the next batch of passengers. Although we did manage to sight the dolphins from afar, we could not go into the waters to get close to them as the dolphins were at a location where we were not allowed to go into the waters.
Due to time constraints, we were told by the boat crew that we could not do the Marine Park snorkel to see the weedy sea dragons which was included in our package. My kids were very disappointed as they were looking forward to Marine Park snorkel which we did not get to do.
The boat and crew were excellent and professional. They have done their utmost best to give the best possible experience. We did hear boat crew members saying that at least they got to sight the dolphins.
However our package of $651.60 was for the total swim experience inside the waters and not partial sightseeing from the boat when we were not allowed to go inside the waters.
We were especially disappointed that the Marine Park snorkel that we paid for in our package did not happen.
Based on the excellent google reviews on Moonraker Dolphin Swims, we were hoping to gain a full experience. However paying $651.60 was simply not worth the partial experience we had.

The second time it was very unpleasant!!!
After 10min at the seal station we had to come back and we didn’t see any sea dragons at the second part or any dolphins at the third.
We were still fully charged and the staff didn’t reply when I asked for discount.

I'm usually really bad on boats, I get very seasick but it was a great ride. The crew were so nice, knowledgeable and gave very clear instructions.
Swimming with the seals was soo cool! They get really close to you, one even stole a pool noodle from a lady in our group ???? and started playing with us.
We got to see heaps of dolphins but unfortunately we were unable to swim with them as they were feeding at the time. However, as they are wild animals the crew advised it best to let them be for our safety and the dolphins!
Even though we didn't swim with the dolphins it was still a fantastic experience.
I have not stopped talking about it since going and I HIGHLY recommend booking with them.
Initially I was scared to get into the water but they made sure I was in the water and experience what I was there for.
Very experienced people on board so one doesn’t have to be scared and end up wasting time, just do what they ask you to????.

My 10 year old got a private escort and tour with the seals. He says that the Moonraker is a must for anyone who loves sea animals.

The staff are absolutely incredible, knowledgeable and so very friendly. Karl is one of the best operators we have every had! He looked after each one of us like we were family.
I highly recommend this company, this tour and this group!
Simply AMAZING!

My son who is 9 and I loved our afternoon aboard the boat. All the staff were super friendly, engaging and professional. We were very lucky to see a few different pods of dolphins along with seals, stingrays and some fish. The whole vibe on the boast was really relaxed and fun and it was great to have people being patient and everyone getting a turn to swim alongside the dolphins. Big thanks to Kate and Gem for making sure we enjoyed and were safe in the water.
