Sea kayaking adventure plus! Wow, what a fabulous experience this half day tour was. My husband and I had been before and enjoyed it so much that we always wanted to do it again! The group consisted of 7 in total, including Amy our tour guide and we set off from Guerilla Bay where, before we had even got in, we saw dolphins swimming in the water. We paddled out to sea and could see whales in the distance and then were incredibly lucky to have whales come over nearer to us and we saw them breaching and diving quite close by, what an amazing thing to witness. Paddling along the coastline we then saw a seal colony and pulled in to a sheltered bay area for a delicious morning tea and snorkeling and swimming opportunity before heading back to shore in the kayaks.
Our tour guide Amy was absolutely brilliant; she ensured that everyone in the group was aware of safety protocols and gave comprehensive advice on kayaking to those in the group who were new to it. Amy was very knowledgeable about the marine life and the local environment which was just great and Amy makes a great cup of coffee!! Highly recommend this tour, 10/10 for fun, value for money and adventure.

Just do it We live in Canberra and have our own kayaks but don't get to the coast enough to build our skills enough to do open water independently, so we love to book in with Region X and spend time with skilled and knowledgeable guides. We've done many short/half day local tours with Region X, including the Tollgstes (second time this weekend), and booked longer trips through them as well, including Ningaloo, Hinchinbrook, Fiji and Svalbard, and loved them all! I have zero hesitation in recommending them.

Nice but overpriced and underwhelming Tour is oversold. Oyster tasting? I expected to be eating dozens, different types, prepped different ways. We actually got three - 3 - three. Kayaking was ok - across the bay and back. Our guide (Mike) was great and stuff about oysters was interesting. But no way worth what they charge.

So Fun!!! What a special place! Our guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and fun. The oyster tasting was not o ly super I testing but really fun! We have two younger kids and it was a perfect tour.

Loved the Cullendulla Creek glass bottom kayak tour. Mangroves and stingrays were the highlight! Looking forward to oyster tasting tour and half day tour another time.

Super friendly staff, great coffee :) Great coffee and snacks!! Also hired a kayak for an hour for a paddle around the river - super friendly and helpful staff with great tips on where to go, safety details and when the best chance is to see stingrays etc.

Kayaking with seals. We had an excellent morning snorkel and paddle with Dave. Dave tailored the experience to our mixed abilities, so everyone enjoyed themselves and also provided hot drinks, biscuits and lovely photos. The snorkeling was better than I expected, with clear waters and a range of fish, including what I think was a wobbegong.
We were lucky enough to encounter a bob of inquisitive fur seals on our trip which was unexpected and provided the highlight of our holiday.
Josh provided great communication throughout the planning and booking process and made sure the trip fitted in with our holiday plans.

Amazing experience. Our time with Mike, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! He was outstandingly professional, incredibly kind, and super friendly. I would highly suggest this to anyone vacationing along the coast.

A magic adventure Unbelievable. The morning we headed off it poured with rain but our superstar guide Dave simply changed the plan on the spot and had such a positive outlook the whole time meaning we didn’t miss a moment and laughed and splashed our way up the river. The night at Rods farm was a highlight then the sun came out the second day so we enjoyed the picturesque paddle with plentiful food, snacks and secret beach exploring. Josh and Dave were fabulous to accomodate our kids (8&9yo) who had a blast! Highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a magic adventure - thank you so much!

Fun with some adventures. I recently visited half day sea kayak and had a fantastic experience. The staff Davis was incredibly friendly and helpful. I left feeling completely satisfied and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a kayak.

Amazing company run by great people The tour was fantastic! The instructor was informative, friendly and supportive. No prior kayak experience necessary, but was very easy to paddle and navigate. Oysters shucked right in front of you to enjoy from the comfort of your kayak.

Paddling through the calm waters was peaceful, and getting up close to the oyster beds was fascinating. A great morning in the water My two teenage sons and I had a great tour with Mike. We hadn't done much snorkelling before and this tour was a great place to learn to basics and start exploring. We saw lots of cool sea life including sting rays, a banjo shark, heaps of fish and intetesting seaweeds. The group moved along at it's own pace and Mike pointed out things as we went along. We ended up exploring much more and went out much deeper than I could have confidently done on my own. My teenagers loved it. The kayaking was pretty easy as it was a calm day. In terms of timing (on the day we went), kayaking was about one third of the tour and two thirds was snorkelling time.

Eye opening, inspirational and personal This was so special. The big sky was amazing. It felt like an adventure in the wild. It was amazing to discover so many beautiful coves, caves and beaches.
It was the best up close and personal views of seals of my life. I loved the connections with Josh and the other participants. Morning tea was excellent. Everything about the day was excellent.

An Exciting Experience with a Personal Touch It was an exciting adventure kayaking in the sea. We were pleasantly surprised to kayak past a colony of seals basking on the rocks. Mike was our guide and he is very competent and fun to hang out with. We truly enjoyed his company and the spread he had prepared. We highly recommend kayaking with Region X.

A very manageable walk for all!

I had the great pleasure of walking the three day Murramarang Coastal Journey as part of a small group of walkers with Region X. Our knowledgeable and friendly guides Eva and Gabe looked after us in every way possible. We were well led, well fed (generous tasty and healthy meals & snacks) and given a wealth of interesting information about this beautiful part of the world. Birds, animals, history and even geology! The first day was the longest, the second and third day had us walking shorter distances but the day-time hours were still filled with numerous memorable moments made all the more special by the fact that they were experienced with such a great group of people. There was also a short kayak across tranquil Durras Lake on the second day. The walking was along fairly easy tracks with some uphill and downhill sections, some steps and a few mostly easy creek crossings (it rained a lot before our walk). We had excellent beachfront accommodation at South Durras on both nights. The experience was all we could have wanted and more. I highly recommend you make the journey with Region X!

A great walk for young and old and everyone in-between! As a solo traveller in my 60s, I embarked on this 3 day hiking trip with a bit of trepidation. I needn't have worried! Our guides, Gabe and Eva, were so friendly and welcoming - as were the rest of the group. We were all firm friends before we got to the top of the steps at Maloney's Beach! Visually, the walk was beautiful, even though we had intermittent rain every day. The coastal scenery and the bushland were spectacular. Physically, the walk was incredibly satisfying. While we had some long distances to cover, it was well within the capabilities of all our group - and none of us (except our youthful guides) were spring-chickens! At the end of each day, we felt pleasantly tired; at the start of each morning, we were ready and excited to walk again! A wonderful experience that I thoroughly recommend. Oh - and the food was great! Healthy and satisfying - and plenty of it! :)

Wonderful experience with the tour of Batemans Bay on kayaks. Very family-friendly, our two young kids age 8 and 5 joined in and had a blast. Mike, the guide was very knowledgeable.. quickly got us up to speed on the kayaks and brought us to really nice spots only a local would know. Saw kangaroos on the beach, mussels and stingrays in the water.. just an amazing morning. 100% would recommended.

Serene river experience! We had such an amazing weekend on our 2 day overnight camping tour, the weather was great for our group of 4 friends. Our guide David was great, full of information and tailored our kayak to suit our requests, he was also a great cook and we were spoilt with delicious food. Thanks Region X we will be coming back again!

Absolutely fantastic! Absolutely amazing experience! The pizzas were delicious, and there is plenty of room at your legs to store any leftover pizza to take home or eat at a later date. The guides are super knowledgeable and we learnt lots of fun facts about the region, flora and fauna. Would definitely recommend, a super pleasant evening activity.

Hidden treasure, friendly staff We did a 2-hour Kayak beginner tour in Batemans Bay.
Our car got a flat battery just before we leave for the tour, the ladies from Region X is kind and flexible to postpone our tour with short notice.
Michael, our Kayak instructor is super friendly, super patient and super knowledgeable.
We will explore their 5-hour Kayak + snorkeling next time when we can revisit Batemans Bay.

I joined half day kayak and snorkeling tour during the holidays after Christmas. Tour was very organised. All the equipments were provided . Very beginner friendly too . I loved it and enjoyed the day , saw sting ray and 2-3 different types of fish . I can’t swim well so I had life jacket on but it was so enjoyable, I did recordings with my phone. Such a fun day for me . Will definitely join again if I come to Batemans Bay . Tour leaders were very friendly and looked after each and everyone to ensure we all had the best time . highly recommended to join a tour with this company.

Snorkel amd kayak tour Ive done a couple of region x tours now and both have been just fantastic. Yesterday I did the snorkel and kayak tour which was just the best day! It was a small group so we got such special attention. I felt so safe the whole time and got to have a great adventure. Highly recommend!!

Staying Young at Heart The Young at Heart program provided a great opportunity to learn new skills and make friends. Each week was a little more challenging but never beyond our capability.

Amazing Oyster tasting Kayak tour It was an absolutely amazing experience. We were able to kayak alongside an experienced tour guide (Michael, who was epic btw!), taste local oysters and listen to a local 4th generation oyster breeder talk about their art in the oyster industry!

Don’t even contemplate, if you’re looking for something to do in Batemans Bay, you gotta check Region X out and book this tour!

Wonderful day exploring the Yuin Country coastline We had a terrific day and half day sea kayak with Gaz and Michael. We loved the paddle to black rock and the pit stop on the beach for morning tea. We even had visitors the last portion of the trip with dolphins close by and whales in the distance! I thought I would have needed more strength for having to paddle for a few hours but the kayaks are so sturdy and do most of the work. We are local and already looking forward to another tour at some stage. Thank you!

Great guides, great location Guides David and Jackson looked after us well and took us on a great tour into the mangroves on the incoming tide (which as I understand may or may not be part of your tour, depending on conditions). Thoroughly enjoyed by all the family.

The best way to explore the Bay One of the best ways to experience the Bay - the team makes it very interactive and fun at the same time, even for first timers.

We went up all the way to the estuary and kayaking through the mangrove trees, which would be the only way to explore that area in style.

The trip is also separated with small breaks and the kids were having an awesome time playing games up on the beach.

Most of all, the team was always there making sure you're looked after throughout the entire journey.

Great way to experience Batemans Bay We did the pizza and paddle experience at sunset. Jaxon and Michael were fantastic guides, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pizza on a kayak was unique and delicious, and the kayaking around the Clyde at sunset and in the evening was beautiful. Definitely recommend this trip.

Memorable 3 Day Murramurang Absolutely stunning coastal walk. Our 2 guides Eva and Lily managed the group beautifully with the right balance of local & environmental knowledge and allowing our group to find our own pace. Organisation and timing was seamless, including a high quality massage therapist for a few of the walkers on the afternoon of day 2.

Fun, relaxing and enjoyable My wife and I never Kayaked before but they made it very easy for us to learn it quickly. The talk by one of the oyster farmers was interesting, got to learn about the history and farming techniques. Got to see the oyster farms and their processing area. The weather is crucial for this and on the day the weather was fine which made the whole experience pleasant. Overall, the tour was very enjoyable for my wife and I.

The experience of a lifetime Everything from start to finish was top notch. We began with a flight of stairs, that almost finished me :) but we continued on and it was definitely worth the effort. I am in my 70s, not in the greatest physical condition but Josh and Ava made sure I stayed safe helping me where needed. The views were absolutely stunning, something I will be sharing with friends back home on Cape Cod, USA. The accommodations were great and all meals prepared for us. Although the terrain was challenging, I felt safe and well cared for. I would definitely recommend this trip to others, and don't let some aches and pains get in your way. Also, be prepared, there are plenty of ups and downs on this trek. The whole thing was a life experience and it made me proud of my own accomplishment. Thank you Josh and Ava.

Perfect Friday evening Float and feast is the perfect way to describe this tour - a stunning sunset evening floating on the water with great interpretation by Dave, and a feast with a very tasty pizza enjoyed from the deck of a kayak - what more could one possibly ask for !! Did the pizza tour at Batesman bay, the instructor gave us a really good run through of how everything is at the start so there would be no issues. The kayak provided has a really nice and beginner friendly turning system. The pizza also really good! Had 2 additional staff members taking photos and videos and they were kind enough to upload the video for us to view. Would definitely recommend and do another tour.
