Great nature walks. Introduction to glow worms. The guide, James, was very informed and quite the story teller. He kept all entertained on the longer drives. The glow worm experience involves a man made tube made to look like a cave. It is about 25 meters long. The glow worms are cool to see, but it is not a natural cave. The walks were really beautiful places. James placed a lot of emphasis on seeing animals so the walks are slow and easy. It should be marked as nature walks so people can bring cameras and such. Event lasted from 7:45am to 5:00 pm. Worth the money.

Great day trip. Excellent day out. Emundi markets were great, loved Noosa. Bruce, our host was friendly and very informative about the history of landmarks.

Excellent, well organised tour of the Gold Coast Hinterland. We, grandmother and 2 young grandson's, had an absolutely marvellous adventure with this tour. The guide, James, was constantly on the lookout for things to show us - from wildlife to extreme sports spots on the tour. The tour itself was quite extensive and covered a large part of the Gold Coast Hinterland. We were able to explore the rainforests in all their glory, from the unique vegetation and animals to the wonderful waterfalls. James provided a constant commentary of everything we saw. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wanted to experience the natural world of the rainforest and for a great day out.

Great company Sean ( driver) was very personable and put everyone at ease. I personally like small bus trips , much easier at stops and less people to navigate. The drive was seamlesss and quite pretty. If you like wandering around markets and craft shops you will enjoy this part . Bit tedious and pricey. Noosa was much smaller than expected and a bit souless. Not even a nice pub to sit and relax in . Lots of tourists with money wandering aimlessly. Was really on trip to see Sunshine Coast offerings but not for us.
Highly recommend this company . Plenty of comfort stops and Sean was always asking how things were going.

So much to see well done! James was a great tour guide. So knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and knew just where to find the treasures. Everything was well organized and on schedule. Perfect tour if you are visiting the area and want to see a lot in a short time!!

Brilliant tour -Very Good Value. Well organised trip making it stress free and with all stops offering brilliant views of wildlife and/or beaches. Gorge walk was so exciting with sightings of whales, dolphins, a turtle and manta ray. Extra treat was seeing 2 male kangaroos having a “box on”about territory. Pete our tour guide was very helpful and full of interesting information.

A brilliant, informative trip with amazing scenery and wild life. Our guide James was brilliant. He took us to amazing places and really brought out the most of the scenery and wildlife. We saw koalas, kangaroos, whales and dolphins, sea eagles to name but a few. Great lunch too!

Beautiful Noosa Beautiful weather helped. Shane was an excellent guide, very helpful & accommodating, looked after us really well. Drop offs/pick ups at each stop were to make life easy for us. Recommendations were excellent

Great and memorable day tour Bruce was a very friendly knowledgeable guide. Despite some rain, the whole day was excellent. Bruce went out of his way to look after us. Because of the rain, some roads were getting quite wet, but we still went to the natural bridge, which was amazing, with the water flooding through it. A great day, not rushed and well worth it.

Such a cool tour! So beautiful. Guide was amazing. Stunning waterfalls and trees. Totally amazing!! Guide went out of his way to find animals in the wild for us, kangaroos. Wallabies, glow worms, saw 2 waterfalls in different rain forests. Absolutely stunning! Learned so much about nature and history!! Glow worm caves were cool and then we Saw glow worms in the wild at the waterfall! Saw a rare pademelon (like a little kangaroo in the rain forest), amazing birds, Turkey nests, cool trees. Was also very accommodating for a guest with a disability. Cant stop recommending this tour!!!!

Completely worth it if you like learning Fantastic tour guide! Super engaging and informative. I learned so much about Australia's wildlife, how to look for wildlife, and a lot about the area, history, and Australia in general. The hikes are reasonably paced, not strenuous (lots of stairs on one hike but it is veey managable). Thr glow worms were new to me and interesting to learn about. Gallery Walk was a good place for lunch - lots of options, free fudge samples, donuts, and shops to browse. Enjoyed great food at Bean n Brunch. Heard that the brewery food is also good. We were in the rainforest when it rained. Great way to spend a day! Highly recommend. Best tour of the three that I took from Brisbane.

Great day Lovely day trip. Bruce was a great, knowledgeable guide. I would have liked longer in Noosa. Bus was comfortable. Enjoyed the Market and Monteville.

Extrovert mode I have no complaints about the tour: it’s a condensed one allowing a visit to various gorgeous spots in Queensland (towards NSW). The bush walks finding the traces of animals were interesting, while the glow cave experience is a tranquil eye-opener. I also appreciate the guide’s funny remarks and information on the spots and animals.

Being an introvert, the only headache for being in a day tour solo is always that the guide chatted with each of us on the bus openly. I understand that it’s quite an Aussie & American culture, but I just found a bit embarrassed to talk about myself in front of those folks not even acquaintances perhaps just a problem of mine. :). Don’t get me wrong at this point - the guide was absolutely nice and caring.

A great way to see more of Queensland :) Really nice way to spend a day out! Great to get out of the city for the day and see more of Queensland without any stress. Pete our tour guide was lovely. The markets were amazing!

Poor rainy day trip Unfortunately this day tour was a day full of rain which did not help.
Overall I don't think there is a great deal to see on this trip if you don' like shops and markets.
The Byron bay tour is has much more to see and do
Eumundi markets were a real wash out on this day . It is a large market with many stalls but many of them are quite similar.
Noossa head was worth the visit and is a smaller more upmarket version of Byron bay I think

We went to Springbrook on our tour and had an incredible time thanks to Queensland Day Tours! So many beautiful sites that I would highly recommend everyone see!! The itinerary was really well organised, ensuring that we made the most of our day without feeling rushed. The balance between guided tours and free time was perfect.

Fabulous The Coastal walk was absolutely stunning, a lot of stairs, but so worth it. Spotted several koalas, bats, birds, and kangaroos on the trip. The ferry ride back while watching sunset was also stunning. Highly recommend.

Steve Irwin of the rain forest Guide was excellent. Passionate, knowledgeable, and went out his way to ensure he provided a great experience.

Went off tour to show us animals in the wild including a koala, kangaroos, and wallaby.

His enthusiasm for wildlife and stealth mode walking to find them reminded me of Steve Irwin.

The National parks you go to are free to enter so you are paying for the guided experience and the transport. If you have a car, you can easily access the parks and hike the trails yourself but you will probably miss the wildlife as they are camouflaged well.

The glow worm cave isn’t great. Hard to tell if the worms are real or just led lights. Seemed like a highly artificial environment. So the least favorite part of the day. The stops for shopping and eating are great.

The guide was friendly and is local. He knows so much about the local history, about the botany, the animals, and the reptiles. Truly enjoyed his commentary throughout the trip.

My first trip through a rain forest ! It was a fun trip, Tour Guide James, was very knowledgeable and gave us interesting details about the areas around Tamborine Mountain and Spring Brook. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, though the hike through the Rain forest and Spring Brook is not handicap accessible .

Meh 2 hours to get there on bus and ferry. A few koalas and grey kangaroos. Two or three nice views but nothing particularly special. 2 hours to get back on bus and ferry.

Best day trip ever Well, quite simply AMAZING! Saw so much wildlife including kangaroo, wallaby’s, koalas & a SNAKE! The tour guide went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day ever! Highly recommend everyone to do this tour!

Amazing Island, but please do not use public transport! Went there and had an amazing time. Saw whales, dolphins, stingrays, turtles, kangaroos, koalas and lots of lizards.

But the big drawback with our tour was the logistics. We were extremely lucky and were able to catch everything, but this was just pure luck.

Do not go there without your own car!!

We took the train to Cleveland early in the morning and got on the ferry with 150 other people. We got off the ferry amongst the first people and we were able to get a seat on the bus that waited for us. This was were the trouble for everyone else started. The bus driver did not want to have anyone standing on in the aisle on the 45 min drive, so therefore he could only take 30-40 passengers. So over 100 people were left behind on the west side of the island.
We could hear the bus driver talking on the walkie-talkie saying that those people really needed a ride and asked his collegues if anyone were able to pick them up. The answers he got were all negative. Remember he said as a coclusion "Ok, then. Some of those poor people will have to wait for hours. That's a shame"
Even if the bus driver would have allowed people to stand in the aisle there would still not have been sufficient to bring everyone to Point Lookout from Dunwich.

We enjoyed our day there. Straddie is extremely beautiful and can easily be enjoyed for free. You just have to use money on your rental car and the ferry ticket. Again, dont rely on public transport!
The internet there is trash btw, (As everywhere else in Australia) with no 5G and local cafes with free WiFi is extremely slow. Facetiming is hopeless.

When we wanted to head home we had a hunch that the bus back to the west side would not be 100% reliable. This turned out to be correct. We showed up 40 minutes before the bus was supposed to leave for the terminal stop. 25 minutes before the bus was supposed to leave it showed up and picked us up. The bus was 3/4 full, and was packed after the second stop. We drove past the people on the 3rd,4th and 5th stop who weaved their hands vigorously and looked desperate to join our bus, but there was no room for them on the bus. We heard a few days later that some friends of ours who were there were unable to catch a bus to the ferry, and had to spend the night on Straddie. They had a nice sleepover in some strangers' garden, but this would have been a nightmare for us, as we had other things to do the next day. (School, work etc).

Also the information here on Tripadvisor is kind of old fasioned. The queue system for the ferry and the bus could have been a simple QR, but things like this is maybe too advanced for the people organising it. All the logistical problems could have been circumvented if they had had digital systems.

But until that happens, DO NOT USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Hire a rental.

A ‘must do’ trip. Fab trip. Staddie island is amazing. Brian was very informative, and we saw plenty of wildlife. The prawn shack for lunch is well recommend.

Nature playground Already planning a next visit - we found 2 Koalas in a gorgeous old tree, massive pods of dolphins along the North Gorge walk and sea turtles floating and diving under the waves. Lots of wallabies too.

My highlight was the Gorge Walk and such beautiful ocean and beach views. Ross our tour guide was awesome and so informative.
He was knowledgeable of the Island , its history and wildlife. He has very good knowledge and respect of Indigenous culture. Being Australian I enjoyed watching the overseas travellers have such joy in seeing Aussie wildlife in natural environment - kangaroos, koalas , turtles and glimpse of few whales. Straddie is beautiful and Ross our tour guide made our day so special his humour , animal spotting and packing so much in our days whilst having time to relax and swim at Cylinder Beach and enjoy a scrumptious prawn roll for lunch at Point Lookout.

Great day on N Stradbroke I went in this tour solo while my husband was working and had an incredible day! James was great and has an uncanny ability to spot every animal he promises to see. The sites were beautiful and it was a great way to get out of the city.

Covers the key highlights of the Sunshine Coast If you don't have much time in Brisbane and the surrounding areas I think this tour is really good. Its smaller groups than some other tours and most other people are traveling in pairs or solo. The tour takes you to some key spots, my favorite being Noosa beach, allowing you to fit a lot into a single day.

The guide/driver is very knowledgeable of all the places visited, providing interesting commentary along the way.

I would have liked more time at Noosa and an extra 10mins at the ginger factory so there's time to eat an ice cream and have a quick look around. However, fitting so much into one day is tricky and only gives limited stopping times!

Overall, I really enjoyed my trip and it meant I got to see a lot more of Queensland than I would have otherwise!

Great experience James knows what he is doing. Thanks to him we were able to spot birds and wildlife (even a Koala). The landscapes are nice!

North Straddie Magic I went to North Stradbroke Island with Hit the Road Tours. Rio was an awesome guide and he really went out of his way to make the day a special one.

A must do Lovely day on Straddie thanks to our wonderful guide. We’ve seen it all: koalas, turtles, whales Both seashore and inland are amazing. Ferry ride on Moreton Bay offers beautiful views too. Fully recommanded.

Disappointed - a bit 'pedestrian' for our liking We were disappointed with the tour - too much time was spent on the minibus with quite short stops at the Falls. Also our guide was constantly having to hurry the other passengers up whenever we stopped which added to the time spent at the attractions.
We would have preferred something with more hiking involved - so not really the tour for us.

Just start here Look if you are going to Australia and flying into Brisbane, there is simply no better way to tick off both wildlife and beaches and get acquainted with Australia as you may have imagined it. Consider it an appetizer for your time in Australia that doubles as a very satisfying meal in its own right. We saw Koalas, Kangaroos, Pelicans, Beaches, Whales and Parrots on our day tour. What else do you want out of Brisbane, outside the city. Pleasant tour guide too.

Beautiful sites and an easygoing day Excellent small group trip to see beautiful, natural spots near the city. Brian was an excellent driver and guide, spending time to answer many questions and manage a good pace with the mix of people on the tour. The rainforests are the highlight, with great views of the waterfalls. The glow worm cave was cool. Pick-up in the city was easy and a ~10 minute walk downhill from central station.

Had an excellent time with Qld day tours to mount tambourine rainforest, waterfalls and glow worm caves. Thanks to James for his knowledge of the history of this beautiful country, it's past and present as well, stories, tireless commentary and very funny jokes. Enjoyed myself tremendously.

Experience you will not forget Great trip, well organised to a point, 1/2 hour for lunch is not enough time when there is a full bus and only 2 places to go to (the gelato is a must), beautiful scenery but we missed going to the springs driver decided not to go, driver did not introduce himself till we where on the road for 15 minutes ,his comments and knowledge could do with a polish and refresh, some of his comments where in bad taste, in winter spending 40 minutes at cylinder bay is too long no one wants to swim, the walking speed was not suited to the whole group at times was spread out and this ment info was missed
