Amazing….. Fantastic the astronomer was very knowledgeable and calm. Saskia, who was our host, was very caring with us and the special needs we had. Of course we can’t control the weather but when our tour was moved to another day a refund for provided for those who could not make the new date. I can’t recommend this enough.

The experience is a bit overpriced! While it was interesting to know about the constellations, there was a single telescope and hence, limited number of opportunities observe stars. Also, the area used for stargazing had lots of trees causing obstruction of some of the available stars, plants, and constellation.

A great night viewing the night skies! Our primary guide was Nathan assisted by Pasha. They were both very well informed, helpful and friendly. We were fortunate to have a clear night, so visibility was excellent, assisted by the telescope.

The walk from the carpark to viewing site was very dark, so I would suggest you bring a torch or headlamp.

wonderful I don’t want to write a long review. We enjoyed the stargazing at the Blue Mountains and liked their [blank offering] and hot chocolate. We also enjoyed seeing Uranus’ rings. Thank you.

Celestial fun. We've done a few of these Stargazing experiences and this one was excellent. Our guide Nathan was extremely knowledgeable and informative. A small thing but the supply of warm blankets was a nice touch.

We loved our star gazing tour last night. Our guides were both incredibly knowledgeable and able to explain complex topics in a way that was really interesting and easy to understand. The visibility was excellent in the mountains and it was amazing to see so much through the telescopes. A really interesting night that I’d recommend!

Go see the stars, its fab. The team were amazing. They had a cloudy night and still managed to help us see the stars as the clouds passed by. Not an easy thing to achieve. I was surprised by how many stars I could see actually. I assumed you needed to go deep into country NSW to see anything worth while. But that was not the case. If you need to see some stars but dont want the long drive, a cheeky drive to the blue mountains is worthwhile. Paul was a wealth of information as well, and the team were fab on the night. Hot chocolate for the win as well.

Terrific way to see and learn about the night sky A really well organised and knowledgeable team teach you lots about the night sky and let you see stars “up close”. The session is a combination of talks, telescope viewings and hot chocolate - a great combo.

Amazing experience! Clear skies, and seeing moon craters through the telescope was incredible. Couldn’t spot other planets because of the bright moonlight, but it was still so worth it. 5 Stars! I had an incredible time at the stargazing tour - we were so lucky with a stunningly clear night, so had some amazing views of the Milky Way! It was great to be able to look at the moon and various star clusters through the telescope. The tour guide was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable, which enhanced the experience even more. It was a bonus to be served hot chocolate to help keep warm (definitely bring a decent coat if you’re coming in Winter!). Would 100% recommend, thank you!

Brilliant presentation from Tom - he was enthusiastic and explained things in a very accessible and clear way. The blankets and hot choc are a lovely touch, and it was awesome to see the constellations through the telescope and binoculars. A very educational and fun night out!

A perfect evening with knowledgeable astrophotographer Tom and his fancy telescope. We arrived in time to see the sunset, were wowed with star stories in the darkest sky I've ever seen for 2 hours with blankets and hot chocolate, in time to pack up to go to our hotel at moonrise (8.30pm)

Highlight of our Jervis Bay holiday Dimitri’s expertise is incredible. This is the first time we were able to see the rings of Saturn and Jupiter’s moons. He was able to answer question precisely then expanded on the question.

Do it!! We thoroughly enjoyed the star gazing night in Jervis Bay.
It was a very windy night, so they moved the location to an alternative beach nearby where we were completely protected from the wind. The skies are surprisingly dark in Jervis Bay, so it was an excellent location for it.
The evening was very relaxed and Dimitri was a wonderful, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun guide. He allowed questions from the group to shape the conversation and was open to discuss anything from very basic to enthusiast level. He also told stories and gave facts about the planets and stars we were viewing. Everyone was able to look through the telescope at various subjects and the 90 minutes flew by.
I would highly recommend.

An unforgettable experience Loved every minute we spent at the Wentworth Falls lookout, where the stargazing session took place: cloudless skies, mild temperature, and a terrific tour guide. Something different for the family! We booked a couple of times during Winter but kept choosing cloudy days so luckily we rebooked on one of the special Geminid nights and what a treat. We had Dimitri as our guide and learnt so many cool facts, not just in regards to classical astronomy but cultural as well which made things even more interesting for our daughter, (and I)!
The telescope was super fancy allowing us to see the moon and planets like never before and there were plenty of chairs and blankies to go around along with hot chocolate.
Thoroughly recommend if you're looking for something a bit different that is suitable for the whole family.

Our group of local Aussies + Americans visiting from overseas had a spectacular time stargazing with Dimitri! His passion and knowledge were second to none, and each one of us left having learned plenty of new facts about the night sky, stars and planets. The two hosts Tom and Rhonda were very welcoming and you can feel the passion from Tom through his knowledge of astronomy and engagement on the topic. My husband and I went as an anniversary activity and we were so amazed! We do lots of stargazing tours, and this was by FAR the best. We were lucky with a very clear night so we were able to see LOTS of stars, but also we had a very passionate tour guide Tom. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and passion!

This tour was fabulous; our astronomer was incredibly knowledgeable and really easy to talk to. Answered questions really clearly and left with a greater insight into our stars in our solar system and the ability to navigate using the stars. The oat hot chocolate was a lovely surprise and well appreciated. Definitely rug up if you’re coming in winter but they do provide blankets should you need them.

Would highly recommend doing this if you’re up in the mountains.

The team were amazing, after unfortunate weather on Saturday we were able to quickly rebook on Sunday as the clouds cleared up. Amazing experience that made us travel to another dimension!
The place was very accessible yet with a perfect view to the mountains and the sky. The tour was a good mix of technical information about stars and tips to identify constellations, coupled with many stories about beliefs and cultural interpretations. Seeing them through the telescope was fascinating.
The guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions, physical and philosophical.
We loved the hot chocolate and warm blankets - you could see they wanted us to feel comfortable!
We’d love to go back another time of the year to see more stars and maybe do the wine tasting this time.

Didn’t get a chance to do the actual sky stargazing due to a cloudy sky. However had a chance to alternatively partake in the indoor planetarium setting. Astrophysicist Bajwa was amazing in sharing his knowledge and visualising the sky for us. He kept us captivated with his explanations on constellations, planets and Astro-phenomena, with his deep research. Enjoyed it!

Thank you Tom and Brie for a great night! Tom’s knowledge was great, we learnt a lot and had some delicious hot chocolate. Would recommend to anyone visiting Blue Mountains. One of the highlights of our trip :)

Stargazing in the Blue Mountains with Dimitri & the team was an awesome experience for my family last night. His knowledge of the night sky is as one would expect with his qualifications. The team were really friendly, and well organised. With a laser Dimitri tells us about the night sky first, then we all get to view things up close with their large telescopes. Nothing was too much trouble for Dimitri; our daughter utilises a wheelchair so he lowered the huge telescope tripod not once but twice so our daughter could see Jupiter & her 4 moons, and Saturn with her rings. We appreciated that so very much and can't express our thanks enough for his kindness. We saw a few shooting stars too! Such a wonderful experience, that I'd love to do again. Excellent event, which I highly recommend.

Experiences this special need to be shouted out. I attended the Geminids meteor shower experience and was blown away. I spoke with multiple guides, all of whom exceptionally relayed their passion for the universe by answering every question, be they deeply scientific, sociological, or far out curve balls, with great care. Prior to attending I worried I'd fall asleep during the 11:40pm-1:15am time frame, but I was on the edge of my seat throughout the tour. The oat milk hot chocolate was the perfect addition to a lovely night. Worth every penny and absolutely worth staying up past my bed time.

Our stargazing tour was cancelled last minute. They stated it was 'too cloudy' however when we went to the alternative option 'the planetarium' we were met 2 staff who stated that it was 'NOT cloudy' and the original tour should have went ahead. The planetarium experience was terrible. We stood outside looking at the stars while the tour guide pointed at the stars with a flashlight however there were NO telescopes. We then sat in a blown up tent/dome looking at the 'night sky' from a projector. The quality of the this was awful. A few people in our group fell asleep it was so bad. The only reason we did the alternative experience was because they cancelled the stargazing trip so late we were already on the way from Sydney. Overall, very disappointing experience and I would not book with this company again. This is my first time writing a google review as usually I cant be bothered but I am outraged with the alternative option that was provided and wanted to share our experience.

It’s a must do for families visiting blue mountains! I had an absolutely enchanting stargazing experience with my family, guided by Tom! His knowledge and enthusiasm added to the magic of the night.

Lovely experience great location, fascinating experience. Our guide was great. It was so interesting. We had the ability to ask lots of questions, and spent a fair bit of time fact checking a few science fiction movies about black holes and time slippage! It was lots of fun. Our 11 year old totally loved it and so did we. We will come back at a different time of year to see more.

Fabulous This was a great experience, suitable for all ages. We got to see Saturn with its rings which was amazing, and we also looked at the moon and could see its craters.

Fascinating and entertaining This is a really worthwhile experience. We can all look up at the stars but to have someone tell you about the universe, black holes, galaxies super nova etc. whilst pointing to objects in the sky brought it to life in a way books can't do. Bajwa was our astrophysicist and he answered all our wide ranging questions (some pretty dumb and some extremely difficult) in a calm and knowledgable way. We also got to see Saturn with its rings and two of its moons through the telescope provided. Highly recommended.

Bajwa was Brilliant. Astronomy was not this interesting at school! This was better than I expected. Sure we only looked through the telescope twice at Saturn and a star cluster ( both awesome sights by the way) but the attention to detail from our expert radio astronomer Bajwa was worth every dollar we paid.

Using a powerful laser pointer, he highlighted so many stars and constellations, explained everything in as simple terms as possible but didn’t dumb down anything. He answered every question thrown at him by a very enthusiastic audience that had come to improve their limited knowledge and everyone went home knowing so much or looking to find out more.

We learnt about and “located” black holes, Star types, light years, how stars are formed, navigation by the stars, located galaxies, discovered the relationship between the periodic table and the life of stars ( an the barely known female astronomer who worked it all out in the 1920s) - we covered so much in the 90 minutes we had.

It was great to see so much of the crowd from the northern hemisphere marvel at our night sky and seek to learn so much - and the experience that Bajwa gave them was great to witness.

It truly was a great night out under the stars and if you are lucky enough to get Bajwa you are in for a great experience.

Don't anticipate being amazed by what you observe through the telescope. The quick glimpses are rather underwhelming, resembling distant headlights.The information caters to those with limited celestial knowledge.
The staff was good, but the presentation for that value was not worth it!!

Learnt interesting stories & facts about the southern night sky Knowledgeable host, clear night, great hot chocolate. There is information for all levels to hear from novice to experts, the host is well qualified & knows his stuff.

Disappointing Alternative Experience The stargazing activity was cancelled due to bad weather, which was disappointing but understandable. Since they don’t offer refund, they gave me and my friends another option to do this “planetarium” activity, which was very disappointing for $85. We were in this camp-like balloon with a very low resolution projector. It’s almost like a kindergarten school. The speaker and his assistant were nice, they gave us hot chocolate too throughout the “activity” and offered 15% off for the next booking, but unfortunately the whole experience is really not worth the hassle of coming all the way from Sydney and having to spend $85 for this activity. I understand the weather is out of everyone’s control, but a refund option would be better and appreciated.

Wonderful informative tour with Tom and Alca! We had a half cloudy night, but they did their best to accommodate our group of 6 outside in the night, and with the indoor inflatable planetarium. Gave me a good overview of layout of the constellations, seasons, meteors. Very open and guided by our questions! Loved the oat milk. Hope y'all enjoy the sneeze-dust cloud analogy for meteors we came up with!

Dissatisfied by the service Came all the way with a really high expectation but due to the bad weather they canceled the stargazing. However we didn’t mind to do the indoor planetarium because we felt like it is better than nothing since we’re already there anyways. Disappointed and I have no words to say. We paid $85 only to sit in a deflated “planetarium” balloon with a speaker that we couldn’t even understand properly. Could have put more effort into it since $85 per person is not a small amount of money but didn’t expect to get such experience like that. With that amount of money please at least get a proper projector so that we could see everything with higher quality, also buy a good microphone please. And the speaker showed the pictures of planet nebula whatever with a printed picture of paper. Do not waste your money here guys. They do offer 15% off if we wanted to book another stargazing experience but we definitely won’t do it again. So dissatisfied and disappointed

Amazing experience Our first stargazing experience and we can’t wait to do more in the future. We did the 6:30pm tour and it was completely dark by then. The walk from the car park to the stargazing location is really easy with signs from the company along the way. Our guide for the tour, Tom, was amazing. He’s knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was infectious! He was great with our 10yo, very encouraging and explained everything in the nigh sky clearly. The opportunity to look at stars and the moon through the telescope was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

I had booked this I think over 2 years ago but Covid and bad weather we kept postponing.

Finally after going!

It was an absolute amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We managed to get to see a few stars and the moon through the telescope. (The clouds just kept moving) but the staff did their very best to show as as much as they could and fill the tour with as much information. so we were never bored. The blankets and hot chocolate were an added bonus and was very welcoming.

If you have this booked try to keep in mind the clouds are always moving so you might not get to see as much as you expected but with the views of the valley and the open air. It is still an experience I will definitely do again and recommend.

Just gotta bring thicker clothes as DAMN it’s cold :P

The whole family had a wonderful time at this event. I was blown away by Tom's general knowledge and ability to explain things in a way that both the children and grown ups could understand. Our kids are in their preteen years and got a lot out of the experience. There were a couple of astronomy enthusiasts on our tour and Tom was able to answer all their questions, whilst bringing everyone else along for the journey. I was really impressed!
The blankets and hot chocolates were a real treat too. I definitely recommend this as a special outing!
