The day was incredibly fun and met some incredible people on the day - and yes, we did end up "taking a swim" once or twice, haha.
I'd recommend this to anyone tempted by this, especially if you can time it during the whale migration season.

The weather was beautiful and the seas calm at 06:30. We saw dolphins (including babies) very quickly, and that would have been enough, but then we saw humpback whales. With calves. 10 meters away. It was breathtaking.
Highly recommend paddling with Go Sea Kayak. You may not see whales, but you will have a great time.

Very professional & well organised.
We saw so many dolphins (some up very close) & a whale migrating (a siting this late in the year was unexpected)
Expect to get wet & make sure you only take a phone if it is in a waterproof cover (they can provide you a waterproof pouch when you arrive for $15 )
Despite our best attempts, my partner & I could not master the shore landing in a sea kayak & many laughs. Felt safe the entire time

We were lucky enough to get super close to some Humpback whales and saw loads of dolphins!!
The crew were so knowledgable and made the whole experience so cool and memorable.
Would highly recommend the Go Sea Kayaks to anyone visiting Byron! 🌞🌞
The wind was pretty strong so paddling was hard, but it kind of added to the excitement. Was an amazing experience, totally recommend!
You will spend some time diligently listening to the instructions & safety guidelines prior to embarking on your journey.
Beau, keep that great sense of humour up; you're a classic! Thanks, David, for the terrific photos, much appreciated; especially since you were busy getting us all out there, as well! Thanks again guys, I'm super grateful! Will definitely be back! Thoroughly recommend, if you're in Byron Bay. ????

Thank you!

The booking and switching process was incredible easy, and the river kayak itself was the most peaceful and serene experience.
Our guide was great (Beau?) allowing us to amble down the river taking our time and spotting the wildlife, and the scenery was something out of this world.
I would wholeheartedly recommended this tour for anyone thinking bout it :)

Really knowledgeable guides, kept us safe and in check at all times, funny guys that really love what they do. Thank you for a great time ????????

We went on our tour today in pretty rough seas, wind, and big waves (because of the cyclones up north!). The team was incredibly supportive, cheering us along every step of the way. They also had 4 staff members in our group which meant we each had a person helping us get out through the surf and extra hands were waiting halfway in case we fell off or drifted up the beach, which most of us did considering the conditions we were faced with.
An allnround excellent experience and would recommend it to anyone - even if you are nervous. My aunty was so nercous she cried 3 times before we even left the sand and she got out and was happy as ever!
Thank you to Emma, Beau, Chris and Arlo. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

A fun day out, the guides were helpful however hard to hear at times due to a large sized group.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GO-SEA KAYAK TOURS AT BYRON BAY

Tour guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. Also super caring when it come to people getting sea sick. Offered to take people back early etc.

It was so much fun to paddle out onto the ocean. The guides were super nice and they made the tour an epic adventure. We saw dolphins and turtles which was really cool.
I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!!

The team at Go Sea Kayak are such legends! Caring, funny, truly passionate and love what they do.
Unlike all the other activities I had booked, it didn't felt rushed, touristy and money orientated. A great local business to support, and an afternoon to remember. The dolphins came to say hi and the guides were full of facts about the original land owners. A great vibe all round. Highly recommend ✨✨✨

The guide started the kayak experience on the water by making a unauthorised welcome to country, as they did not identify themselves as being a member of the local aboriginal land council- who are the only authorised members to complete this.
An acknowledgment of country would have been more appropriate.
Additionally, they continued to tell what appeared to be local aboriginal language and storytelling without identifying there were either indigenous and a member of the local aboriginal land council or had permission from local indigenous elders to share these stories.
It appeared this Indigenous storytelling was designed to impress international tourists. However it was noticed by some Australian’s on the tour that the guide had breached the common cultural laws that are set by Australian Aboriginal peoples by not providing clear information into how these stories were being shared and what approval was in place in order to share them.

Douggy, the tour guide, was great and clearly loves what he does!
