Your 6 hour private tour of Sydney will give you the perfect timeframe to explore this magical city, while still getting you back to your hotel for that afternoon drink before heading out to dinner. See all of the iconic sights of Sydney such as the sparkling harbour, the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Bondi Beach, King’s Cross and also feel free to add in some items of personal interest as your tour is tailored to suit. Visit a local craft brewery or gin distillery, check out Sydney’s most intriguing galleries, admire our local architecture or discover hip neighbourhoods and the best food and wine. You can add your own flavour to the tour so that you see what interests you and this can all be enjoyed in 6 hours of private touring.
6 hour private tour itinerary:
Spend 4 hours exploring the classic ‘must see’ sights of Sydney including The Rocks, Sydney Harbour foreshore, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, King’s Cross, Watson’s Bay, Bondi Beach.
Add 2 hours of your choice with the following themes:
- Option 1: Natural wonder – Escape to the beautiful north and see more beaches like Manly and Balmoral while also exploring the rugged beauty of Ku-Ring-Gai National Park
- Option 2: Art and Culture – Visit a selection of local galleries/museums and experience the local creative scene. Depending on the day of tour, this could be the Brett Whitely Studio, White Rabbit Gallery, Aquabumps studio or any of your choice.
- Option 3: Food and Wine – Visit some of Sydney’s best cafe’s and bars, sample wine from around the country or discover our local craft beer and maybe squeeze in a tasting or tour at our newest Gin distillery.
- Option 4: Local Neighbourhoods – Escape the crowds of tourists and discover aspects of Sydney that most don’t see. Visit 3 or 4 suburbs around the city that will give you a true feel for how we live.
- Option 5: Sydney by Night – Either finish your afternoon tour in the evening or have most of the tour in the evening hours, it’s up to you. Sydney is an exciting city to explore after dark and the harbour sparkles with reflections and colours. Great for the photographer, foodie or anyone after a unique Sydney tour.
- Option 6: Emerging Sydney – A city on the move, there is so much change happening that it can be hard to keep up with. Discover Sydney’s newest and hippest precincts and get a feel for what’s happening now and what’s planned for the near future. Great option for the ‘off the grid’ traveller.

We loved all the special places in the nature, the lunch spot and the winery.
It was a brilliant day and one of your trip highlights.
He took the time to get to know us on the drive and thoughtfully customized the entire day based on our interests, personalities, and even the weather—resulting in a perfectly curated itinerary. Even making a pit stop at a local winery which ended up being the absolute highlight of the day.
If you’re looking for a truly customized, worthwhile experience exploring the beauty of the Blue Mountains, I highly recommend this private tour.
What made this so good was the easy rapport with Alex. She was informative but also in tune with our needs, providing water and breaks and toilet stops as needed. We were not pressured to keep a schedule and the scenery was off the hook. We felt like VIP's from beginning to end. We recommend Alex and Your Sydney Guide without reservation.
Charlie guided us through beautiful hiking trails, allowing us to see beautiful waterfalls and stunning views from different spots. He was flexible and made sure we could comfortably see the highlights of the Blue Mountains at our own pace (the big advantage of a private guide).
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to make the most of a single day in this gorgeous region.
Scott’s passion for Sydney and his deep understanding of its history brought every stop to life. He didn’t just show us the sights — he gave us context, stories, and insights that helped us truly appreciate Australia’s past and how Sydney became what it is today. The historical areas were fascinating and thoughtfully chosen.
What made the experience extra special was how completely he tailored the day to what we wanted to do. It was personal, relaxed, and perfectly paced.
And lunch at the Sydney Fish Market was a huge highlight — such a fun, authentic, and delicious experience that we never would have navigated so well on our own!
If you want a customized, engaging, and memorable way to see Sydney, we cannot recommend Your Sydney Guide highly enough. Scott is outstanding.
Scott was pleasant, incredibly knowledgeable, and wonderful to spend the day with. We loved visiting Featherdale, getting up close with the animals, and finishing with a relaxing wine tasting.
Highly recommend — especially for families looking for a thoughtful, customized experience!
We were a big group of 15 people, and somehow everything ran smoothly — we were always on time without it ever feeling rushed or stressful. Scott took us to some of the best spots in the Southern Highlands and made the whole day feel like a fun, relaxed adventure with friends and family.
Honestly, it was completely stress-free and such a good vibe overall. Would 100% recommend Scott if you’re after a smooth, well-paced, and genuinely fun day out.
And then we were off for an amazing day. He found the sweet spot for our diverse fitness levels. Showed us beautiful places in Royal National park, coastal walk and a great city tour. Perfect way to start our holiday in Sydney. Thanks for being flexible
Scott customized our hike based on exactly what we were looking for that day, and it was absolutely beautiful. We ended the day with a lovely lunch, followed by a visit to the Megalong Valley for wine and a charcuterie board, which was the perfect finish. The entire experience was exactly the kind of little private escape we had hoped it would be.
We highly recommend Scott and Your Sydney Guide, and we will absolutely be calling him again next time we’re back in Sydney.
From the very start, Scott, the owner, was fantastic. He helped us secure a highly sought-after date, took the time to understand what mattered most to our family, and thoughtfully tailored the itinerary to match our interests. Most importantly, he paired us with Sam as our tour guide.
Sam was, without question, the star of the day and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Australia. She was the perfect guide: warm, knowledgeable, flexible, and genuinely engaging. Her background in animal care, sanctuary work, and even venomous snake handling added incredible depth to everything we saw and learned in the Blue Mountains. She shared insights about wildlife, ecology, and everyday life in Australia that made the day both fascinating and fun — and the time absolutely flew by.
What truly set Sam apart was how naturally she connected with our family. She instantly bonded with our 12-year-old daughter (who later declared Sam her favorite person she met in Australia), and even went out of her way to make a spontaneous stop at Woolworths to hunt down Pascall Clinkers — not on the itinerary, but unforgettable for our daughter. Sam was also a great photographer, a wonderful conversationalist, and even gave invaluable advice for driving on the left when we headed to Melbourne.
Throughout the day, everything felt perfectly paced. We were always where we needed to be, yet never rushed, and Sam made it easy to adjust plans on the fly. Saying goodbye at the end of the tour genuinely felt sad — a true sign of how special the experience was.
If you’re considering a tour, book with Your Sydney Guide. The experience is top-notch, deeply personalized, and absolutely worth every penny. They delivered more than we hoped for.

It was an amazing and fantastic day, in fact the one of our best days in Australia. She knew a lot about the surroundings, she was also extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the whole day, showing us places we wouldn't have seen and experienced, if we had chosen to go on a bus tour.
So we give our best recommendations from here.
As an Australian I thought I knew this city but I can truly say that before this tour with Scott I had not seen many of the spots he took us to. Scott explained the history of this amazing city and its surrounds along with many other points of interest as to the spots we were taken to .
What makes a great tour guide is passion , knowledge , inspiration and preparation and the ability to read his clients as to when times to be accompanied and left to our own devices .,Scott listened to our requirements and ticked every box and some special surprises were thrown in . Thanks Scott for the great pie shop , you were right that pie was the best .
Whether it be a great famous pie or a top restaurant suggestion to the hidden spots with great views Scott had it all .
Your personal touch made us miss you and your great city which you know so well .
Thanks very much to the team at Your Sydney Guide and thanks Scott .
Easy 2+ hr trip to and from Sydney.
Deserve 5+ stars.
The tour can be personalized to your taste.
Through out the day Charlie was very engaging and shared lots of historical facts as well as current local knowledge. We ended the trip with a ferry ride into Sydney harbour and circular quay.
Would highly recommended this trip, well worth the money.
In February before a transpacific cruise,
Blue Mountains and Tour of Sydney.
We Loved both tours!
My husband is still taking about the
Blue Mountains tour and how Fabio helped with the wheelchair accessibility.
It was wonderful to be able to see this beautiful part of your country.
I would recommend this company 100%
All pre-tour planning and email conversations were timely, thorough and satisfying!
Upon arrival via the Celebrity Edge .our tenders delivered us to the Opera House Wharf much later than scheduled, and Charlie was there waiting at the turn- around behind Sydney Opera House welcoming us to the city in his very luxurious Range Rover!
Our day of Discover Sydney began with a bouquet of greetings, smiles and excited anticipation!
We headed right into The Royal Botanic Gardens where Charlie began sharing with us the history of Sydney .he sprinkled his history lessons with information about the local flora and fauna ..Sitting on Mrs. Macquarie's chair, being amazed at the Merton Bay Figs and the gorgeous and raucous birdlife!!!!! We were enthralled with Charlie's breadth of knowledge and his calm, humorous and tranquil comportment.
As we drove from place to place, Charles answered our queries about Sydney, Sydney's history, government past & present and drew our attention to the historic architecture and the interesting animal life we passed along the way .we trailed after a Kookabura and watched as it pulled worms from the ground and another Kookabura in a tree "beating a mouse to tenderize it" before eating!!!!!! We were regaled by cockatoos, black swans, ibis, and australian magpies to name but a few!!!
Our travels took us to and thru The Rocks, Darlinghurst, Moore Park, Woollahra, and to Centennial Park! At Centennial Park Charles brought us on a walk to a huge forest area that was home to thousands of Flying Foxes hanging from trees high up in the canopies! It was magical!!!
Then on thru Waverly Park, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and to the famous Bondi Beach!!!! Charles gave us time to walk in every location, take pictures, and enjoy the exquisite views .we enjoyed a lovely coffee at one of his favorite cafes .and throughout our day together Charles was brilliant companion, teacher, guide and friend.
We could not have been happier with our tour with Charles. Every minute was packed with details and history of the beauty of Sydney and Surrounds we can surely say that Charles expertly guided us into falling in love with Sydney. Thank You Charles!!!!!
Next visit .how bout the Blue Mountains, Charles???!!!!!!
Many thanks! Madelyn and Alex
It was even his birthday on one of the days he was with us.
He was our close friend that we finally got to meet again and reconnected with for our first visit to Sydney; that's how it was having the tours with Charlie. We were comfortable in his vehicle and he assisted us all the way had a wheelchair with us. Loved that he had an itinerary planned and ran it with us to align both our expectations. Got to see many hidden gems on both places and shared a good amount of stories that really will stay with us.
We also got to meet Scott on one of the tours, he is also an awesome guy.
