I have travelled twice with Tassie Tours this week and both times have been amazing. Today we went up to Wineglass Bay and with a little effort on my part and a lot of encouragement from Gino, my guide I made it to the lookout! It was well worth the effort. Must do day trip from Hobart Such a brilliant way to see a different part of Tasmania! From the pickup to the ferry and all the stops throughout the day, everything was seamless. Our guide, Jodi, was fantastic - so enthusiastic and keen to make it the best day ever. We had a good amount of time at each stop, nothing felt rushed, and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Bruny. The oysters at Get Shucked were hands down the best we’ve ever had! We even got extra lucky spotting a white wallaby and a joey peeking out to say hello day made!

Port Arthur and other stops by bus. Had a great day. Bus was on time, driver was good and as a guide he provided plenty of information. Port Arthur itself is impressive in its history and current beauty. The organization maintaining and presenting the site are doing a wonderful job.

Fun and beneficial experience Very fun tour with a fun guide. Guide was very helpful in finding our accommodation and dropping us off there which was very much appreciated. Worth the trip although if you would like to explore Port Arthur, worth staying for 1-2 nights to experience the large historic site at a relaxed pace which is what I did. Ticket also lasts 2 days which is helpful.

A Memorable Bruny Island Experience with Andrew The tour guide, Andrew, was very welcoming and passionate. He knows everything about Bruny Island as he grew up there. We were so lucky that we were able to see white wallabies, dolphins, and black swans etc. Andrew managed to show us various spots with perfect time management. Excellent value day tour to Bruny Island from Hobart with Tassie Tours. This is a review for a tour last July 2024 with tour guide Bunsie. Pickup was on time from Hobart CBD. We enjoyed the drive out to Bruny in our mini van and taking the vehicle ferry across. We bought oysters on the way and stopped at a picnic stop to enjoy. First time trying an oyster! and it was very fresh and I probably won't have them again unless they are this fresh and from the pristine Tassie water!

We stopped at the Neck and walked up all the stairs to the lookout but unfortunately the weather closed in on us and we got soaked. We drove around and managed to spot the famous white wallabies. We did a nice little rainforest walk and listened to the birdies. We had a delicious pub lunch at the Bruny Island Hotel / pub (not included). The orders were called in on the way so they were ready for us when we arrived. We stopped at the Lighthouse and most southerly point in the afternoon.

My only suggestion is not to stop at the Bruny Island Chocolate shop as the staff was very rude and the chocolate tasted terrible - we all regretted buying.

The queue for the ferry on the way back was long so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but Bunsie's stories and banging playlist of 60s and 70s classic rock kept us entertained. Bunsie has also seen Neal the Seal in the flesh! We had an excellent day and were back to Hobart by about 5.30pm.

Went on a tour to Bruny Island on my own. Jodi was amazing, the best guide who looked after all of us. She was very knowledgeable, caring and supportive to those of us who needed more encouragement to keep going even when out of breath or a little lost, she was right there. She definitely made my day the best experience which was more than I expected. I will definitely let my networks know which tour company to join when they visit Tassie. The Bruny Island full day tour was well organized. Alex performed an excellent service of not only taking care of every passengers on the minivan but also telling us about the history, economics and some side stories about this island. Travelling with Tassie Tours is highly recommended, and even better with the tour guide Alex.

The 3 day Hobart highlights tour was the perfect birthday gift for me and my partner on our birthday. Mark and Andrew were great. Safe drivers, very knowledgeable. I love that Andrew knows Bruny Island like the back of his hand and Mark is so well travelled,he was very engaging and such a good story teller. We loved those 3 days, nice weather and freshest seafood! We’ll be back in winter!

Excellent tour of Hobart and surrounding areas. You'll visit the charming village of Richmond, the Bonorong wildlife preserve, the wonderful Hobart outdoor market (Saturdays only), and the summit of Mt Wellington for spectacular views. Our guide (Mark) was great, providing interesting factoids during the entire trip.

Joey was great and the tour is worth your time and money. Joey was super informative, nature and wildlife were outstanding, and the weather was just on point to enjoy all the activities. Please find time to visit Bruny Island, you won’t regret it!!!

Bruny Island your - Nov 2024 The tour was great and our guide and driver managed the day well and provided lots of information to make the trip very enjoyable and fun. We stopped at various locally run places which broke up a long day well. The Island in definitely worth a visit.

Yesterday, we had a very experienced local tour guide, Gerard, who took us to Mount Wellington, Salamanca Market, The Wicked Cheese Co, Richmond Bridge and Bonorong Wildlife. Not only was Gerald approachable, but also he answered our questions about these places openly.

Today, we had another friendly and approachable tour guide, Campbell who made the entire trip to Port Arthur Historic Site fun and enjoyable. He shared what he knew about the history of Port Arthur to prep us before we reached the place. He also showed us different places along the route as bonuses. We happened to see a coach under Gray Line that did not even stop at a scenic spot (in fact, the coach just drove past the spot and left) whereas we had the photo opportunity. So well you know why we prefer Tassie Tour over bigger tour companies.

One more thing to add, we had a very experienced local tour guide, Andrew, who took us to Bruny Island today. He was born here and he was from Bruny Island. How lucky we had a local guide to tell us everything we need to know about Bruny Island. The lunch at Hotel Bruny was great too. A totally enjoyable experience with Tassie Tours.

Incredible Bruny Island - Tasmania Truly enjoyable tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, fun and patient. He customised our tour with a balanced mix of breathtaking landscapes, as outdoor activities, and tasting of the local produces of Bruny Island (fresh oysters, local honey, local cheeses). This great balance allowed our 4-years old son to be fully involved and enjoy together with us the nature (including spotting the white wallabies) and the food. Highly recommended for any age brackets.

Beautiful Bruny with Tassie Tours Tasmania and Andrew!! Amazing day out with Tassie Tours Tasmania! We had done Port Arthur the day before with Andrew and did Bruny on the back of that because Andrew was fantastic!! Most incredibly delicious seafood chowder we have ever had from Hotel Bruny.
Best oysters ever with wasabi cream from Get Shucked! Amazing cheese from Cheese and Beer Co. Picked up some Black Pudding beer as well!! I could survive on Bruny with just these 2 places! And of course the scenery was breathtaking as you would expect. Thanks again Andrew you are awesome!!

I booked the Bruny Island day tour at the very last minute, which was late night before the actual tour! Luckily, they were still able to squeeze me in (and sent a message as well via whatsapp on the pick up instructions). everything went smoothly, from the pick up to the drop off. It was raining the whole day of our tour, which for any person would be such a drag, but Bunzy our guide (i hope i got the spelling correct!) was such a hoot! His tongue in cheek humor and knowledge of the island was just the perfect way to learn about the story behind Bruny and get in some laughs as well ???? Would take another Tassie Tour in the future, if given the chance!!

Pick up was a breeze right out front of our hotel. Mark was our tour guide I'd have to say his knowledge on the history was amazing given us an insight into the past history of the area. I'd recommend doing this day trip I was going to do the drive myself but glad we went ahead with the tour as we wouldn't have seen as much.

We had fantastic trip to Bruny Island with Tassie Tours!! The tour was smoothly run with our highly knowledgeable guide Jodi! She was an absolute legend! We will recommend this tour to our friends back in Adelaide and we can't wait to visit and join another tour in the future!

We used Tassie Tours as an alternative shuttle service to Port Arthur to do the 3 Capes Walk as it left later in the morning, giving us time to enjoy breakfast. The trip had the added bonus of stopping at the Chocolate shop and the Lavender farm. Our driver, "Mark" was not only knowledgeable, but good fun. Nothing was a problem. On our return trip to Hobart (4 days later), our driver came to find us (slight mix up on our behalf) and again, our driver was pleasant, laid back and more than accommodating, dropping us at our hotel. Highly recommend as an alternative service, which offers a discounted rate for the one way service.

Tassie Tours! Just awesome full stop. Arrived in the wonderful city of Hobart yesterday on a cruise. Wanted to travel to Port Arthur and check it out, stepped off the ship and found this company. Super simple, great advice even gave a Veteran Discount. Our tour guide “Tilly” was amazing we went to other great places to and from Port Arthur. Thanks to Tilly, we are definitely inspired to come back in the near future with the camper and travel around Tasmanian. Wonderful place, down to earth. 100% recommend Tassie Tours.

This was one of the highlights of our three week vacation . Our host, Nathan was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We got beautiful pictures of some phenomenal places. The beaches are spectacular, the rain forrest exquisite. We stopped for oysters and they were fresh and some of the best I've ever had. You won't be disappointed .

Day on Bruny island We had beautiful weather for our trip, which probably helped a lot, 18 in our group, all friendly. Our bus driver tour guide Anni was wonderful made everyone feel comfortable and was very relaxed while also being very interactive and informative. Lunch was terrific,all in all a very nice day!

Professional and fun This was an enjoyable few hours off our cruise ship in Burnie. Easy shuttle transfer into town where our excellent guide, Dannie, met us and drove us to Cradle Mountain where we had a short walk. The entire area is a beautiful wilderness, and Dannie filled the drive time well with interesting information about the area, its history and wildlife. We were fortunate to see wombat and echidnas. Too short a time in port, really, to do the area justice, but based on our experience I would definitely recommend Tassie Tours for any Tas excursions.

We packed a lot in on the day & it was great. There was literally no time to visit the cheese, chocolate or honey shops. They were really rushed visits but i didn't mind as i wasn't on the trip to shop.

Top notch tour , great guides. Must book this one. Prompt response to booking, guides were easy to find from port shuttle bus and check-in was organised.

Richard & Shannon were very helpful and personable guides and went above board to answer questions and make sure everyone got the most of the trip - which was outstanding by the way. Definitely worth booking while in Tasmania.

Even though our ship was the earliest to leave port in months, we were in plenty of time for the last shuttle back to port.

So much Fun in Bruny Island. A very nice full day tour to a beautiful part of Tasmania. Lots of interesting spots that we were taken to by our guide Andrew who was very knowledgeable of even the simplest thing about the place - where to go, best time, and warning about possible danger (leech at the rainforest area), etc. He managed to maintain a fun atmosphere during the entire tour and was more than willing to share other information about Tasmania in general.

We recently went on a cruise to Tassie and had stopovers at Burnie and Hobart.
I rang Tassie Tours who were professional and provided a fantastic value for money tour on places we wanted to visit.
Our first tour was to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain, Richard was our tour guide and bus commentary - he was passionate about Tassie and there was hardly a question he could not answer. He was also good at taking photographs of us which was very helpful! There was also a female guide with Richard who was great, sorry I forgot her name!
Our second tour was of Hobart highlights - history of Hobart and many historic landmarks and lookouts, Mt Wellington and a stopover at Richmond where we had lunch and a shop.
We even were able to sneak in a stop at Bonorong Animal Sanctuary where we could feed the kangaroos and I watched a baby wombat eating a carrot - it was the most magical experience as I love wombats.
Our guide and bus driver was Mark.
Mark was engaging and remembered all of our names - he also had a great sense of humour and was able to engage the bus in very interesting topics of conversation. Mark is well travelled and had a very wide knowledge of not only Tasmania but many other countries. I really enjoyed Mark and rate him highly as a tour guide and genuine person to talk with.
I would recommend Tassie Tours to anyone and also to people on a cruise - they are good value for money and will not let you down. I am so grateful we chose them for our tours.

Cruise ship tour We had a great day out with Andrew visiting historic Richmond, a city highlights tour and Mount Wellington. 3 Day Tour: Perfect for exploring Hobart on a short trip My father in his mid-70s and I enjoyed the 3 Day Tasmanian highlights Tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island. The tour was a great mix of history, food and gifts, sights and scenery, and nature and wildlife all fit within 3 days. Good weather allowed us to go to visit all planned sights such as Mount Wellington and we were lucky to see a white wallaby in Bruny Island and Tasmanian devils in Bonorong wildlife sanctuary. We found the tour very comfortable, almost all stops had toilet access, good local food options (we didn’t need to pack lunch) and could cater for people with different fitness levels. The tour is convenient with pick ups and drop offs at your hotel. Rob, Anni and Bunzy, our driver tour guides were warm and friendly, very informative, entertaining and organised, making sure the trips go smoothly. The tour was as described. They let you know extra costs upfront which are worth it. We found the 3 day tour was great value and a perfect way to get to know Hobart and surrounds, particularly on a short trip. Our luggage is full local food and gifts to enjoy Tasmania a bit longer when we get home. If only we could take the oysters with us! Highly recommend!
