Extra shoutout to Hugh and Liam for being super considerate of Ires since she gets a bit seasick – but guess what? She felt amazing the entire time! No dizziness, no queasiness, just pure enjoyment. She absolutely loved it, and so did I!

Great Tasmanian experience Excellent day out. Bus times were spot on and the driver, Ben, was very personable and informative. Because we were a little ahead of schedule, he stopped at the Pirate Bay lookout on the way to Port Arthur and chose a more scenic drive back to Hobart in the afternoon- very much appreciated by all on board.

Port Arthur historic site We learned so much of what actually happened in Port Arthur. We were not aware that convicts came to Tasmania, only other parts of Australia. The information about the young boys was very disturbing even for that time.
Driver was good, and bus was comfortable.

Don’t miss it! We did the three hour wilderness tour from adventure Bay out to Penguin Island and along the coast looking at seals penguins birdlife and the absolutely magnificent cliffs and rock features.
The tour was excellent and we would highly recommend it.

Incredible Port Arthur Day We booked a full day trip with Gray Line tours. Firstly a massive shout out to our Bus driver Colin Dean. Well organised and not one hiccup. Fantastic knowledge of everything historical from Hobart to Port Arthur and every little village in between, made for an amazing day out. Also loved his ‘Dad’ jokes. Our trip took in so many highlights including Tasmans Arch, Remarkable Cave and a brilliant chocolate foundry. Plenty of photo ops also. Port Arthur itself was incredible and well beyond what I expected. Thank you Colin for a great day.

If you visit Hobart/Tasmania and do nothing else, this is a must do. The tour is well run, the staff are fantastic and friendly and the coast line stunning on the Bruny Island boat tour. I can't say enough about our bus driver and deck hand, Kate, who was professional and knowledgeable and our boat driver Mick, who was very good with his skills and a good laugh. We saw towering cliffs, sea caves, a blow hole, albatrosses, terns ,gannets, seals and dolphins. The meal was good at the end and everyone on tour all seemed to be impressed. Don't miss doing this!!

The Pennicott Journeys Wineglass Bay cruise was a WONDERFUL day.

The scenery is stunning and the Tasmanian food and wine (we had Sky Lounge access) was fabulous. Topped off by a friendly and engaging crew with commentary from Captain Josh and barman Rex.

A 20/10 experience!

Did the Tasman Island Wilderness cruise on a Friday afternoon. We were originally booked for the Sunday, but on Thursday noted that the weather wasn’t looking splendid, so called up and they changed us to the Friday very easily, even having booked via getyourguide.

We went all the way from Eaglehawk neck to Port Arthur. We were told that this is pretty rare, as when the weather isn’t nice, they just do one side of the coastline, whichever is sheltered from the wind that day.

The cruise was absolutely amazing. The boat is comfortable, not overcrowded, and the scenery and wildlife was truly out of this world. The guides were also so lovely and made sure to stop at all the beautiful sites and rotate the boat so everyone could get a good view no matter which side you’re on. We saw sea lions, dolphins, plenty of albatross, and the tallest sea cliffs and capes, and a lap around Tasman island.

I do think this experience is highly influenced by the weather. If you’re flexible with days, I can’t recommend enough to keep an eye on the weather and do this cruise on the finest, most wind free day. You’ll get to see way more.

Fast adventure ride on the ocean Absolutely brilliant fun. Small group size for a three hour boat trip around the stunning Tasmanian Peninsula but this was unlike any boat trip I’ve been on - I swear this was like jet boating on the ocean!! It was excellent fun, we saw dolphins, seals and albatross really close up, as well as stunning scenery. Cannot recommend this enough. The commentary was both informative and funny.

Went there on the 18th December!

The drivers on the bus were absolute legend. Got so many good jokes lol🤣 thanks to Josh - cheers to the two on the road for getting us to the Bruny Island safely and sharing the laughs! 🚐 And for the boat driver? Also Amazing! The views were stunning, quite chilly, overall we had a great day.. Highly recommend!✅

I did the Bruny Island day trip and overall really enjoyed it. The day started at 7.45am with a 45‑minute coach ride to Kettering, followed by a 15‑minute ferry crossing, then another 45 minutes on the coach before reaching the boat. The boat tour itself was excellent, amazing scenery and a real highlight of the day. It was very cold on the way back, even though the guides said it was a warm day, so definitely wrap up well, took me a while to warm up.

Lunch was fish and chips at the restaurant, which was good, and then we repeated the coach and ferry journey back. It’s a long day for what is essentially a boat trip, but I would still recommend it for the experience. The only downside is that you don’t stop at any of the local shops or producers on Bruny Island.

The Pennicott Wilderness Journey cruise around Bruny Island was an absolutely incredible experience and one of the highlights of our Tasmania trip. The dramatic coastline, towering sea cliffs, sea caves, and powerful ocean scenery were breathtaking. Getting so close to nature and feeling the raw energy of the Southern Ocean was truly unforgettable.

The crew were professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining, sharing fascinating stories about the island’s wildlife, geology, and history throughout the journey. We were lucky to spot seals, seabirds, and even dolphins, which made the experience even more special.

The boat felt very safe and well-managed, and the provided jackets kept us warm despite the windy conditions. This tour is perfectly organised and well worth the time and money. I would highly recommend the Pennicott Bruny Island Wilderness Cruise to anyone visiting Tasmania , it’s a must-do adventure.

A sensational jet boat, nature trip... This was quite an experience, a must do on Bruny Island. The skipper, was it Tom? and the first mate Ben were helpful and fun! You gear up in these long red wind jackets and then climb aboard the jet boat that seats 35+. The skipper gives a very entertaining rundown on what we will be seeing then handed out the sea sickness tabs which were a health brand of ginger. Then off you go with gusto!! We were shown caves, one we boated into to and a "breathing cave" which was like a semi submersed cave/blow hole - very funny and exciting! Then we were taken to look at the seals.. gorgeous animals, right up close..on the way back it was like being in the arctic the wind was incredible, you must wear a good beanie and layers or warmth, it gets cold out there what a fabulous experience it was!!

Highly recommended!

We had a great full day of touring with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys on December 18, which is today :) The whole trip was smooth and things were arranged so nicely.

Phil, he not only took us around the city safe and sound but he is also an amazing tour guide for getting to know the history of Tasmania. He gave us some details and little history about the places we passed by on the bus and they so very interesting.

Our captain for the day, was boating 🛶 us around the coast and introduced us thoroughly of all the sites from the perspectives of history, geography, biology… it’s a lot like we were in the Animal World/Sea World Documentary live :) The whole team made sure that everyone who sat in different parts of the boats see everything in the best angle.

We were lucky today because we got to see some dolphins, 🐬 seals 🦭 , lots of them… which was truly phenomenal.

We had a memorable day because of the seamless process and arrangements, and also a bit of luck 🍀

Btw, the lunch is also very decent! It was in a lovely lavender themed restaurant which is full of amazing stories of their own.

And plz, an advice: take some pills for seasickness before you join the trip if you don’t do well on boats…

Bruny Island Traveller Day Tour Nov 17 2025. Guide and driver was Kieran. Weather was not the greatest but everything else was wonderful. Perfect timing regarding the bus ride and stops for walks and/or tastings. The cheese, the chocolate, the honey... all delicious! Our guide was competent and had a great sense of humour. He even managed to make the sun come out everytime we stopped for the walks on the neck or the beaches or the Hiba Gardens! Lunch at Penicott's was top quality. We had the fish and chips with salad plus the oysters! All in all, definitely 5 stars!! Highly recommend it 😊

We did both the Bruny Island and Iron Pot cruises. They were both amazing. All the staff, from the front desk to the cruise crew were very caring, polite, funny and informative. Shout out to Ben, Jamie and Murray who were great. Thoroughly recommend Pennicott!

Interesting tour The Pennicott’s driver picked us up from a hotel near where we were staying. The driver from Hobart to Port Arthur also had a toilet stop which was considerate. The Port Arthur site is serviced by a very well appointed visitor’s centre, the site itself is NOT to be missed while visiting Hobart.
Going with Pennicott tours everything was organised for us and all the staff were very nice and helpful.

Bruny Island Traveller Did the Bruny Island Traveller tour. Overall, it was a good day out thanks mainly to the excellent tour guide and beautiful scenery, but the food experiences weren’t quite the gourmet experience we were expecting. Cheese tasting at the Bruny Island Cheese Company was a highlight. Sampled four cheeses and one beer, and the staff member gave a nice overview of each cheese. Stop at The Neck lookout offered stunning views. Enjoyed the rainforest walk with its lush ferns. Lunch at Pennicott’s was a bit disappointing. Oysters were dry and didn’t taste fresh. Restaurant couldn't even give them away because no one wanted more. Fish and chips were average. Bligh Museum stop wasn’t worth it, just two small rooms and not much to see. Bruny Island Chocolate Company was another letdown with pre-packaged chocolates in plastic, with no explanation from the staff. Honey stop was interesting but chaotic. Staff presentation took place in the middle of the shop, making it hard to hear or sample anything with the crowd of random tourists gathered around. This was clearly the most popular place for souvenirs. We were lucky to spot one white wallaby during the day, which was nice.

Overall, the tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and well-organized. The island itself is beautiful and worth visiting, but the food tastings didn’t live up to the gourmet label. Would pick a different tour next time.

11/10 cannot speak highly enough of the entire trip but especially the staff. Isabel was a fantastic tour guide and a great sense of humour. Everything was timed beautifully, never felt rushed, the morning tea and lunch supplied was awesome, the best blueberry muffin I have ever had and the fish & chips was perfect, nice and hot and very much welcomed on our return from the cruise. The scenery is stunning and seals put on a good show. Highly recommend. Thank you for a memorable day.

More first people Aboriginal history please Functionally the service was on time and competent. However if you want a balanced story of Tasmania that does not ignore Australia's first Aboriginal people then do not go with this group. As soon as we got on the bus there was no acknowledgement of the 60 000 year history of Aboriginals in Tasmania. All the stories were about what the coloniser did post 1803, this was a very disappointing and incorrect history of Tasmania and Hobart. Surely the first people warranted some acknowledgment or positive story.

One word sums up our Bruny island experience, sensational !

We had the absolute pleasure of doing the Bruny island trip today which included transport from Franklin wharf and return, it also included morning tea, an absolutely fantastic cruise and lunch with a few stops along the way.

From the moment we walked into the office to book until the moment we hoped off the mini coach everything was absolutely perfect, the ladies in the office were just absolutely amazing.

Josh who drove the mini coach and crewed on the boat (our tour guide) was a delightful young man who is an absolute asset to the business and Ben (the captain) was absolutely brilliant and is also an absolute asset to the company !

Ben and Josh’s knowledge was very insightful and they were also very professional and very funny.

I honestly wasn’t sure if it was a wilderness tour, a pleasure cruise or a comedy show, but what I am sure about is that this company goes absolutely above and beyond.

Every single staff member we encountered and dealt with were absolutely amazing beyond my comprehension !

This is customer service and satisfaction off the charts !

Honestly, do yourself a favour and book a tour today. It’s absolutely worth every single dollar !

Enjoyable tour This was a great tour, and definitely one I would recommend. I got to see a lot of not only Port Arthur, but the journey along the way, as we made a few stops, which was cool. The driver, Dan, was friendly and clearly knew his stuff. We got to Port Arthur early, and were given plenty of time to explore our own pace. The cruise around the bay was also a great addition to the tour.
A criticism is that the tour is arguably too long, as you are left at Port Arthur for around 6-7 hours, getting there early in the morning and being picked up late in the afternoon. While it was nice to get plenty of time, the tour itself really doesn't need to be that long.
Still, this is a worthwhile tour to do and is particularly suited for those with limited time or means to see Port Arthur.

Our full day tour was lovely. The boat experience was thrilling and the tour guides on the boat were fantastic. There are some areas for improvement however.

As we sat near the front of the boat we could not hear about 70% of the commentary as there is no PA speaker system on the boats. The guide was speaking from the back, so we missed most of what was being said at the front.

Although our bus driver Geordie was nice enough, there were many elements of unprofessionalism. His commentary was often filled with “so yeah, ummm, uhhh, yeah…” as he tried to connect his dialogue together. The focus of the bus commentary also leaned heavily on negative aspects — past fires, how things have changed since the good old days, and attractions that we couldn’t stop at because they are closed. While some of this is interesting history, it needs to be balanced with more positive insights about this beautiful state.

The most concerning part was on the return journey when Geordie seemed tired and distracted. While it’s great to talk to customers, much of his attention was taken up by two women in the front row. The conversations became questionable and uncomfortably unprofessional at times, with sexual content and banter better suited to the pub after work. Personally, I don’t mind this kind of conversation in the right setting, but as a tourism operator myself, it felt off-point for a tour. Many of the elderly guests looked uncomfortable.

Geordie also mentioned that he was only 22, and this unfortunately showed in his driving. While talking to the passengers up front, he turned around too often instead of concentrating on the road, which made the bus swerve side to side. We almost felt the need to call out “keep your eyes on the road.” This is not intended as an attack on him but as feedback before something serious happens. When you are responsible for 40 passengers and other road users, safe and professional driving must come first. The trainee staff member sitting behind him, on the other hand, was lovely and professional — hopefully he doesn’t pick up these bad habits.

Geordie spoke about wanting to receive 5-star Google reviews, but given the safety concerns and the inappropriate conversations, it didn’t feel deserved on this occasion.

Having said all this, I would still recommend the company, as the majority of the staff were fantastic. Well done to them all.

Great day out on Bruny Island We chose to take the Bruny Island Bus tour over the boat tour (it was a bit choppy). Our driver Paul was friendly and very welcoming. He had loads of knowledge to share with us on our tour around the island. We made several stops, cheese factory, Bruny Island Neck Game Reserve, Two tree Point, Lunch at Adventure Bay, a Honey Farm and more. It was great and enjoyed the day immensely.

So much fun! Iron Pot Lighthouse Tour What a great way to spend an afternoon. Tom, our captain/guide was delightful. His jokes and puns were well presented, and the information he provided was terrific. We saw seals, lots of birds, including two sets of eagles, and on our return trip, two humpback whales were feeding -- an added bonus. The trip along the shore and to the lighthouse was absolutely breathtaking. Although it was very cold, we were dressed for it. It is spring in Tasmania, and the temperature has not risen above 52 F/11 C and breezy. Pennicott Wilderness Journeys donates 25% of the cost of our tickets to various charities that support the environment. What a great company!

Awesome experience This experience was fantastic. It was a long day but didn’t feel like one. We made a coffee stop on the way to Port Arthur to look at Pirates Bay -which was great as was the coffee. The drive to Port Arthur was very pretty with great commentary on the way by the tour operator. The site was amazing and plenty of time to see everything, listen to free guided talks, ferry ride and a restful wine at the end. I would thoroughly recommend this trip as a must do when visiting Hobart.

I joined their Bruny Island Cruise and it was such an amazing experience. A once-in-a-lifetime. The view was nothing short of spectacular and awe-inspiring. Their service was excellent. The guides were friendly and helpful. The fish and chips served at the restaurant were probably one of the best I’ve ever had - the fish was freshly caught daily and the portion was generous. Overall, highly recommend visiting Bruny Island when you are in Hobart and highly recommend joining the cruise with Pennicott.

We did the 3 hour wilderness cruise & my second with Pennicott. Cannot fault this company. Absolutely amazing experience. The boat stops at many wonderful landmarks and does a full 360 so no matter where you’re seated you are able to see & get a great pic. The skipper was so great, he was funny & knowledgeable. The deck hands were so happy to answer any questions we had. We saw seals, a quick peak of a whale, many birds & sea life. 1000/10. Sea sick tablets were provided which was also great. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you

Journey to the Great Southern Ocean A fantastic day out! Everything was well organized yet relaxed!
The crew were really knowledgeable (and funny! High five to Isabell and Dana (our skipper and deckie) their experience was evident in navigating the seas. We saw seals and plenty of birds

An absolute must in Tasmania.

We saw seals, dolphins, and penguins in their natural habitats up close with this once in a lifetime boat tour.

Truly a one of a kind experience that will just leave your jaw dropping in awe of nature’s wonders. The guides were incredibly helpful and kind, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had the privilege of encountering in wildlife.

If you love being on the ocean and seeing wildlife up close this is your tour. Worth every moment.

An important note, is that you may get seasick on the tour - don’t let that discourage you. It is worth the trip. Just be sure to bring a bottle of water and something to help with seasick symptoms. This tour goes down the coast to Cape Raoul, and while it’s worth it even those who don’t normally get seasick can be unaccustomed to the waves you’ll encounter.

Do the trip. It’s worth the sights you’ll and the memories you’ll make.

My family and I did the boat wilderness cruise around Bruny Island recently. We had such a wonderful experience! It was so beautiful and the guides went out of their way to make sure everyone had a wonderful time. They were very informative and helpful and really went out of their way to make sure we saw whales and dolphins. The natural scenery itself is definitely worth going for! Me and my friend booked the Tasman Island Cruise, and it was such an amazing experience! The cruise was great and we got to see lots of seals. The bus driver and instructor Andy and Henry were extremely nice. We chatted with them and got nice advice for the following trip as well. Generally highly recommend to book a trip with them!

An Unforgettable Experience – The Highlight of Our Tasmania Trip This was truly the trip of a lifetime and the absolute highlight of our 16 day tour of Tasmania. Lily was an exceptional pilot, bringing us incredibly close to nature — I felt like I was actually *inside* a David Attenborough documentary! We witnessed seals, dolphins, cormorants, albatrosses, and many other seabirds whose names I can't even recall.

The scenery was stunning but for me the animals were the real stars of the show! The most unforgettable part was watching all these animals interact in their natural environment as they hunted for food — scenes I’ll never forget. Kieran and Lily’s commentary was both informative and genuinely entertaining. For a moment, they even had me believing that cormorants were penguins!

The tour was expertly organised, and the entire experience far exceeded our expectations. We would return to Tasmania just to go on another adventure with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys.

Excellent team We had the Pennitcott team pick us up after our Three Capes walk. They shuttled us back to Port Arthur to retrieve our belongings and then into Hobart.
We had Josh (Clancy) as our driver, and he was extremely pleasant and friendly, answering all our questions. The hour+ drive it took to get back to Hobart felt like its own tour and certainly rounded off the incredible experience the Three Capes was.

Pennecott's Tasman Island Cruise ,a must-do if you're visiting Hobart. We've done 3 Pennecott's Wilderness trips. This one was also excellent.
Phil, the Coach Captain, drove us from Hobart to the Peninsula, it was educational and entertaining. Phil's driving was excellent.
The boat crew, Lilly and Kieran, took us on an exciting three hour ride around Tasmania's spectacular southern coastline where we got close up and personal with feeding dolphins and seabirds as well as seals relaxing along the imposing cliffs. The three hours passed very quickly. Lilly's boat handling skills were top notch and she, along with Kieran, both gave us a running commentary about the history, rock formations and wildlife in the area.
Morning tea and lunch were also provided and Phil took the passengers to various points of interest after the cruise and then back to Hobart.
It was a long day but a must-do if you're visiting Hobart.

Awesome tour We had an awesome experience on this afternoon boat tour — about 3 hours on the water and such a fun way to explore the area. The staff were fantastic — super fun and engaging, but also very professional and focused on safety, which we really appreciated.

They even handed out anti-nausea medication and water before we set off, which was a thoughtful touch. The whole operation — from the check-in process to the bus ride back at the end — was run like a well-oiled machine. Everything was organized and seamless.

We also loved that the captain made sure to turn the boat at every scenic spot so everyone on board had a chance to get great photos — such a small detail that made a big difference.

Highly recommend this tour — a really memorable and well-run experience on the water.

Iron Pot Lighthouse Cruise We arranged to go on the Iron Pot Lighthouse Cruise (a 2.5 hour coastal cruise) around the Derwent River, taking in the local landscape (including wildlife, Betsy Island & the Iron Pot Lighthouse). Tom (our skipper) was an excellent ambassador for both his company and Tasmania, he was very knowledgeable and very personable. The trip was a mix of historical knowledge and adventure. I think that the tour would appeal to anyone seeking a high level of both. This was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon on the water.

My daughter and I dud the Bruny Island traveller tour and loved every second of it. Kieran our guide was absolutely brilliant. Safe, efficient, informative and most of all funny... Can't recommend it highly enough.

We booked the full day Hobart to Bruny Island wilderness tour 2 adults and 2 kids aged two and the other nine months old. Everyone had a great time! The Pennicott team were amazing, very helpful. The tours are incredibly well organised and the food included was delicious. This was the main reason we travelled to Tasmania, it was dedinitely worth it.

Spent a beautiful day on Bruny Island. Our guide Ben was incredibly kind and knowledgeable! He made sure we were all comfortable.

The cruise and seeing all the wildlife was truly an unforgettable experience. I thought first it was a little pricey but honestly worth every cent!!

We did two different tours with these guys and both were absolutely amazing!!! We got to see some incredible wildlife on the Tasman Island Cruise and the team were incredible. Our major highlight was thanks to none other than Dan who took us on our Bruny Island Bus Tour. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the area and made the trip an absolute blast! I can’t recommend these tours enough, it would have to be one of the most memorable experiences from our 3 week holiday.

If you are in Tasmania this is the thing which you cannot afford to miss. This just can’t be explained. It’s a one hour drive from Hobart. From there they take you in speed boats carrying 30 people. We were lucky to go on a sunny day and believe me it’s an awesome experience. We went for a 3 hour afternoon pack.
We saw amazing caves and seals and the best was Dolphins swimming next to our boats. The ocean waves at times gave us some goosebumps but it’s worth.
JUST GO FOR IT.

Amazing tour Had a fantastic day on the Bruny Island cruise. Check in was friendly and efficient. We had the amazing and multitalented guide Zoe. She has a bubbly personality, is friendly, kind, caring and a genuinely beautiful young lady. Is is clear she loves what she does. We were so impressed with the fact that she not only drove our bus but was the deck hand on the boat and was also very knowledgeable in regard Tasmania and Bruny Island. (She also surfs and dives). I witnessed Zoe caring for a young lady on the boat who was not feeling well and her care, compassion and concern was outstanding, as a medical professional I was very impressed. The skipper Jamie was also amazing, despite his dad jokes, he gave us a very safe but amazing tour of the spectacular and rugged coastline.
Our morning tea and lunch was also yum, again friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend Pennicott Wilderness it is a must do.

Interesting tour, great guide, long stop at Port A. Very interesting visit. Our package included the shot harbour cruise and the 45 minute basic into to the site. Lots of self guided info available. As mentioned by others the time at Port A really is too long, but we knew this and were prepared so it wasn’t an issue.

Bruney Island tour and Port Arthur bus trip. We had the pleasure of touring Bruny Island with our amazing tour guide Zoe. We were taken through the island via bus tour and was treated to some amazing scenery, wildlife, food and beer. Zoe’s passion and knowledge for the island and Tassie overall, along with the relationships Pennicott has made with the locals, is what made this day so special.
We were then taken to Port Arthur by Pinnicott’s tour guide Jordy. Whilst we did not have a tour with Jordy at Port Arthur, his knowledge and love for Tassie was still evident as he made the trip down very enjoyable with his commentary.
Whilst we only did 2 trips with Pennicott, both Zoe and Jordie made the experiences very enjoyable. We will definitely be booking another tour with them when we return to Tassie and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

A Magical Day Following the Yellow Boat Road! A magical, exhilarating day out. My daughter and I experienced the all day Bruny Island cruise. All the staff were terrific from the staff in the Constitution Dock booking office to our Skippers Mick and Kieran. Mick really needs his own television show. What a personality. (I hope I have his name remembered correctly but he's been with the company for 21 years) Kieran was really informative and we really enjoyed his professional and friendly approach. I know a lot of people who have done this cruise and they all rave about it (even the ones who went out in rain). The complimentary Ginger tablets and Pennicott hand warmers were really appreciated. Thankfully, we didn't feel sick at all out on the Great Southern Ocean. We saw seals, sea birds, ancient cathedral like cliffs that are just awe inspiring. A magical pod of dolphins surrounded our boat but alas, I couldn't get a decent photo of them but they were so joyful to watch and had the entire boat enthralled . The morning tea and lunch were both delicious. I loved how we got to watch Kieran pick up the fresh supplies for the salad, bread rolls etc from local businesses as we drove to the marina at Kettering. I can't wait to do another cruise with this multi award winning company and totally agree that they would have to be one of the top travel experiences to do in the world. Thank you to all at Pennicott Journeys for providing us with a memorable lifetime experience.

Unforgettable experience... spent our daughter's tenth birthday on this tour. She enjoyed every bit of it.A must do if u ever visit Tasmania . Our tour guide Isabel was really sweet and friendly.

Great eye opener Great day trip. Opens your eyes to what humans are capable of. The historic buildings and location are fabulous. Be prepared to walk to get the best of the site. Very sad but amazing experience.

Tasmanian seafood seduction - a seafood lovers dream come true. We had at fabulous day, blessed with fine weather, although windy and had to keep to the inside passage. Kate was a star captain,diver, chef, and she had a wealth of knowledge to share, she took time and great care to measure and accurately document the catch. The food was sensational and prepared and presented with great skill, we had more than you could eat and all complemented with great Tasmanian wines and cheese. Truly a trip to remember.

We had a wonderful tour with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys. They truly are the best in Tasmania and well worth the price. Our tour guide, Alan, was knowledgeable, and kept us entertained during our tour.

The only complaint I had was with one of our servers during the lunch provided, who was quite rude to me, but I will be writing Pennicott directly about that.

An Absolute Must When Visiting Hobart An unbelievable experience on Bruny Island, my second time and just as amazing as the first many years ago. Professionally run, felt very safe and the crew were entertaining and full of interesting information. I chose this company years ago because Mr Pennicott was a local and was so pleased to hear it is still a family run business. If you are visiting Hobart, don't leave without booking this trip seeing the sights of Bruny from a very fast boat.

FIVE stars is NOT ENOUGH for this tour. Seriously, this was an AMAZING experience/tour/day/adventure & though the price tag seems "expensive" we found it GREAT value & would do it all again. Admittedly, we had PERFECT weather and an excellent crew & fellow passengers but none the less, this is a priceless experience that you will not find anywhere else.
An endless tour of surprises, wine, non alcoholic drinks, food & seafood, sights and fun. Easy going, all encompassing & the VERY BEST experience of our 19 day stay in Tasmania.
We saw the salmon farm, seals, oysters, fresh & cooked in champagne, some of the seafood dived for from the boat, then prepared, cooked, displayed-rock lobster, abalone, sushi mi, urchins. Tasmanian platter of food. I tried most things, but preferred the cooked seafood delights. The beach & swim were fantastic. Take your bathers - or not!!!!! Thanks to the group we were with - they made the whole thing even better.
You will be well catered for & have lasting memories, as we do.
We did have to cancel one of the 3 tickets we had pre purchased - zero issues getting a refund, as per their policy. GO ON - JUST DO IT.

Great service and wonderful trips The service was very good, the guides gave a great commentary.
I had booked two tours with Pennicott, however I became ill, on the morning of one of the trips and could not attend. A refund was posted within days.
Also for the wineglass bay trip we were notified the day before that we may not be able to go into certain areas because of the weather and gave us the option of rescheduling if we wanted to.
