Charter boat fishing with JB? Y(the hell)knot?! A friend asked me if we should go for a charter when we're up in Northern Territory, "Yknot" I said (Hahahaha gotta love the pun), and here are fishing with an excellent, personable skipper named JB! (Juergen Boucher). He took us to some nice spots and was also very mindful of our younger sailor. I've observed him keeping a close eye on the young man whilst also helping us with all the fish work and baiting and cleaning.
If you want to go on a charter with Yknot, definitely ask to go on a trip with JB if you can. A skipper I'd charter with again!

Great day Had a great day lost track of how many goldies I caught. The crew were great. The boat was just the right size to have some space.

I booked a charter for my 50th Birthday and took my family out for a half day fishing experience. I usually do land-based fishing, and it was nice to be out on the ocean for a change.

Being the wet season, it was hot and humid, but the water was reasonably calm and made a great day for boating. We didn't catch anything, but came across a ghost net, saw a sea turtle swimming by, and watched a storm pass over Darwin. It was a beautiful day.

The Yknot crew were lovely and kept us safe. I would go again on my own just to have a day out fishing.

For those who may be a bit older or have injuries, there is limited seating, so you may find your legs or back getting a bit tired after standing for long.

I was also given the option of paying for the charter in installments. I booked ahead and was able to pay over 2 months, I think this is great.

As a local and have been fishing all my life, I understand how fishing 'works', and even though we were unsuccessful, I had a fantastic day.

Amazing experience with an epic crew! I was lucky enough to win 2 days on extended fishing charters with the boys from YKnot Fishing Charters. Although we are a family that loves fishing, this was our first time experiencing deep sea fishing and the boys made it an epic experience. Charlesy was so accommodating and easy to organise the trip with, and skipper JB and deckhand Wade made sure we got the most out of our trip and provided a fun-packed experience. They went above and beyond in every aspect, including the homemade array of food that they supplied. Will definitely look at planning more trips with this amazing team. Highly recommend these guys!

Great charter, plenty of fish and memories Great crew and great all round charter, highly recommend charsley and his young deckhand Wade, professional but also easy going and great to have a laugh and chat with. Did a charter with some work colleagues and had a great day fishing with plenty of quality fish brought home, if you're looking for a quality worth while charter, this is the one. I've been on 4 separate charters out of darwin and while I can honestly say I enjoyed all of them, this was my favourite. Boat is very well set up with a full shade cover that doesnt get in the way and it can comfortable fish 6-7 people without feeling congested. Charlsey was also very active on the sounder and wheel, if the fish weren't biting, he didnt waste time sitting in the same spot, he moved until we found the fish. Our charter went exceptionally well and will definitely look forward to booking in the future. They also have great accommodation available in dundee for those looking to make a weekend out of it or possible do a few day charter.

Probably Darwin's premier fishing charters atm. Fast boats that can take you that bit further out than other charters. The reviews, I think currently on 4.9 stars, speak for themselves. This is who i recommend to customers, friends and family when in Darwin town. Can't wait for my next trip with them.

Had a fantastic time with our skipper Dan and a group of friends in mid August. We aren't the most experienced fishers, but he made sure we had a great time, and by some impressive wizardry caught heaps of fish!

I could not recommend the experience and their service enough, great fishing, a very well-kept boat and heaps of refreshments and snacks. Dan's music taste is also excellent.

Keen to be coming back on the boat next time I'm up there. Thanks again!

Best Fishing Charter in Aus Charlesy and Matty were unreal on a half day charter ! Plenty of Fish, cooked it straight up for lunch when we got back. Awesome

Awesome day Chris worked hard to put us onto the fish and he delivered. Matt was exceptional and made sure we bait and rigged us up so we were always in the fight. They put me onto one of my bucket list fish. The boys were knowledgeable and even gave us great advice about where to go on the rest of out darwin adventures. Would recommend to everyone. 10/10

Amazing day out! My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of a full day charter with Chris the skipper and Matty the deck hand. The weather was perfect, the fish were biting and we came home a feed of amazing fish! Chris and Matty are the most down to earth people and was so easy to spend the day with. Had an amazing night charter with the Yknot guys, Charlesy and Corey were awesome, they put us onto the fish at every spot we pulled up to and gave us tips on how to catch the target fish.
If you are to only do 1 charter in the top end, these guys are the ones i would choose every day.

Easter fishing charter 2025 Very good and caught lots of snapper, cod, trevally, Jewfish, night perch, sharks and lost some big jewfish.
We went with skipper Daniel and deckhand Mattie, they were very good and we had a good time

Early start, straight into catching fish on our first hang. The deck man was really helpful, clean and Tidy. Had a great day out on the water with Dan and the gentleman with him. Best experience everything was done for us all we had to do was hook and reel the fish.

Dan and Quinn what absolute legends. Not only did they make sure we had great time on the water but they went above and beyond to make sure that my daughters caught a fish which absolutely made their day. They didn’t stop working the whole time we were on the boat to ensure everyone was comfortable.

It wasn’t expected from my husband and I for them to help our daughters bait their rods but without even asking they helped them a lot. Which meant we could enjoy more fishing time.

They are respectful, fun abut mostly diligent to not only safety but also respect for the owners equipment and boat. You do not find this in many people these days.

The admin team were also amazing with great communication via email to book us in very late notice - communication via text message the night before to ensure we knew the right time to depart.

This company are doing amazing work and i absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Cannot recommend this company enough! I am a beginner fisher and both quinny and robbo looked after me so well. They helped me from learning from how to bait my own line to landing two jew fish and a golden snapper. The boys were really good at hyping me up and encouraging me to reel in the big fish myself. Would not have landed them without them. The boat was kept extremely clean, everything was conducted in a professional but fun manner and lunch was provided on the full day tour. Thanks boys for such a rememberable day

This is by far the best fishing charter I have been on. Not only because we caught so many fish - but also due to the fact that the boat was amazing, the staff were unbelievable, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We have extended our stay in Darwin just so we could book 2 more trips. I absolutely highly recommend this experience - do not look anywhere else in Darwin. Thanks to Charley, Tristan, Quinn and Rob you guys are absolutely outstanding.

Well, what can we say, Team Garmin Quality Marine were lucky enough to win a major prize at the 2023, Barra Nationals competition raffle. The YKnot crew were so helpful in organising the prize and changing things around to suit the group. They were so accommodating, and we finally set off on a full day fishing charter with several friends and family. The skipper did well moving the boat around from spot to spot, anchoring like a legend. Rob the Deckie was by far the standout on this trip. He did not stop or sit down once throughout the day, he worked his absolute backside off ensuring everyone there had fresh bait, lines tied, fish removed and processed, bagged up, drinks were cold. Everything that fella did on that boat was to look after the vessel keeping it clean and tidy or helping and engaging with the people on board. Hats off to him as I am sure it's not an easy gig but not one person onboard could fault his effort and attention to detail.

We chose Yknot because of their excellent reviews and we were so glad we did! We had a fantastic day thanks to the amazing crew who looked after us incredibly well. They knew great spots and made sure we were well fed, watered and had all the help we needed with fishing. Yknot knows how to cater for beginners as well as experienced fishos and makes sure everyone goes home with a haul of delicious, fresh fish. You can't go wrong with these guys!

Absolutely sensational! What a day out on the water! A solid 12/10 which I highly recommend to both novice and extremely keen fishermen. From booking all the way through to being dropped back at the jetty the Yknot team were marvellous.

Father and Son As always totally awesome day. Crew just great with a few one liners that had us laughing. Filled a couple of spots at late notice. Didn’t know anyone on the charter at the end of the day had made some more friends shared a great charter.

Ripper day out! We booked Knotorious and Knotstopping for our social club event, roughly 25 people. The guides onboard were absolutely fantastic, great service, helpful and funny. The weather was perfect, food onboard was really good, and plenty of fish caught! The guys really looked after us. This has been one of our best social club events and we will be back.

Good fun and awesome atmosphere Yknot were amazing! The planning, the execution and the day was great. We had 16 onboard for our work event and even though the weather wasn't on our side, they were still absolutely accommodating and made sure everyone was having fun. Will definitely go through Yknot again and recommend to others.

Start off with easy to book and have many options to carter your fishing experience.
I've been on charters where the crew don't know how to banter or poor customer service.
Deck hand kai and cap travis was very friendly and patient in showing people what to do correctly and safely. Made sure to move to various spots f it wasn't paying off or had to many sharks.
Would give 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend, would book again in future, if you need of a charter these guys are it!!

4 day extended Tiwi Island trip. we had a group of 8 do a 4 day trip to Tiwi Island with Charlesy and Yknot fishing charters, I can not rate them highly enough from making sure we had everything we need on and off the boat to teaching some of the lesser experienced guy's how to catch more fish. we couldn't have had a better time with anyone else. do yourself a favour and go fishing with YKNOT.

Fishing of our dreams Wasn’t hoping to catch much but boy was I mistaken. I was pulling in fish left right and centre. Took us to all the spots but our last stop was the winner! My arms are still sore pulling the fish in.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely!
