The Thrill of the Hunt

Step into the crisp alpine air and wander through our beautiful truffière on a guided hunt. You will join forces with our amazing truffle-sniffing dogs—Sarge, Scout, and Skipper—whose enthusiasm and skill bring the experience to life as you search for the hidden black diamonds resting beneath the soil. 🐶

Gourmet Tastings and Interactive Workshop

Back at the lodge, while your freshly unearthed truffles are cleaned and prepared, you will enjoy a delicious spread of truffle canapés followed by a warm garlic, artichoke, and spinach truffled dip with fresh house-made dipping bread. Sparkling Australian wine and non-alcoholic bubbles will be served to complement the rich flavours. 🥂

You will also take part in a hands-on truffle grading workshop, learning how to identify quality, aroma, and ripeness. To finish on a sweet note, savour the unique flavours of truffled panna cotta and truffled ice cream—two indulgent, memorable winter treats.

Important Guest Information

• Weather Preparedness: Our hunts run in all weather conditions, including rain and snow. Please dress warmly and bring wet-weather gear. ❄️
• Footwear and Biosecurity: We recommend wearing shoes you do not mind getting muddy. All guests will walk through a small biosecurity foot bath when entering the truffière.
• Farm Safety: For the safety of our farm and animals, pets are strictly not permitted.

Dietary Considerations

Our Winter Truffle Hunt menu is thoughtfully designed to celebrate the indulgent nature of fresh truffle, which pairs beautifully with rich, full-bodied ingredients. The menu features dishes containing gluten, beef, salmon, and a generous use of dairy (butter, cream, and cheese).

We are pleased to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free guests with prior notice. However, due to the central role of dairy in this experience, we are unable to modify or remove dairy components. If you have specific dietary requirements, please advise of these details prior to your arrival so the team can ensure the suitability of this experience.
