Please meet at our office: 207 Katoomba Street (inside the Blue Mountains YHA), Katoomba 2780 at 8am. We will return to the office around 5pm the following day. Please note that we need you here on time, if you are late we may have to leave without you.

After meeting at our office we will be driving

stunning wilderness campsite of Deep Pass. Here we will set up our base camp
for the two days. Activities and short adventures will be conducted around the
area of Deep Pass. We will collect our drinking water from the creek (guides
will ensure it is safe to drink), cook on the fire, and be toileting in the
bush (you will be taught how to do this SAFELY and HYGIENICALLY).
Please email us if you have any questions or concerns about the weekend or regarding gear required for the course
We will provide all food for the two days, cooking equipment, course materials, and a course manual for you to keep.

What you need to bring:
Shelter: Either a tent or a tarp and groundsheet. It’s your choice.
Sleeping Bag: Appropriate for the season. It often gets below zero degrees.
Sleeping Mat: Partially Self inflating is ideal.
Whichever you decide to bring, remember you’re not being tested. A good night’s sleep is conducive to learning!!

Rain Jacket: Bring one regardless of the weather forecast. Not a poncho.
Shoes: Suitable for bush walking.
Water bottle: We recommend a 1L ‘nalgene’ bottle- can take boiling water to make a hot water bottle at night.
Eating Kit: Bowl, mug, knife, spoon and fork (not disposable, they break).
Head torch: With full batteries.
Basic Toiletries: Including personal toilet paper.
Backpack: To fit everything, usually a minimum of 60L. (hiking style)

We spent the day abseiling and rock climbing with the hands down best tour guide, Brian. Thank you Brian for your patience and constant reassurance. With your guidance, we went above and beyond what we thought was possible and faced some really big fears.
We will be booking again!
Would definitely recommend.
100% would recommend
They are so kind and caring, take the time to reassure us and we spend an nice day.
It was so beautiful and it gives a huge dose of adrenaline. The descent of the waterfall at the end is the climax of the day.
Thanks again to ours crews for this incredible day and if you need to chose a company for your canyoning and abseiling, go for High and Wild directly !
I’m not so good with heights and my partner not so good with water and both did such a good job to get us comfortable with the whole thing and thoroughly enjoy the day!
If you're reasonably fit and seeking an exciting challenge, we highly recommend this experience. It’s an adventure you won’t forget! We’re already looking forward to returning for another adventure with the team.
The surroundings are breath-taking and there is no better way to see them than hanging off of a cliff!
Brian is an expert guide and highly diligent with safety.
We had a small group and so were able to cram in a few 18ms and turns on the 30m.
Would recommend.
Even though it was misty, foggy at times, and some light rain it just added to the whole thrill of the experience and the beauty of the day.
Started out the morning abseiling down some beautiful spots to help us feel comfortable and learn the ropes. Then enjoyed an incredibly delicious lunch before heading into the canyon. The trek through the canyon was both challenging (and cold) but very rewarding. Most of our group had their own moment where they struggled but our wonderful guide Zol was patient and kind and helped us overcome our fears. Ending with possibly the least graceful descent down the waterfall for me and a textbook perfect descent from my partner then a nice steep hike back out.
To say I was pushed out of my comfort zone is an understatement but it was such an incredible experience.
I cannot thank Zol enough for his amazing guidance making us feel safe and helping us navigate each part of the day.
I recommend High and Wild to anyone looking for an adventure and challenge!
The guides were extremely safety focused but still kept it light hearted enough that we didn't feel overwhelmed.
The experience itself was fantastic and such a rush. Moments of panic but trusting these guys knew what they were doing. So glad we did this.
Tha k you miles and Zoltan for looking after us and giving us this experience!
It is a must do in the Blue Mountains! Empress falls and canyons were incredible. I will certainly be back for more!
The group and our guides Luke and Zoltan was great and had a very good spirit.
Due to the rain we got a lot of water in the canyon which I believe only made our experience better!
The canyon and rainforest was beautiful.
The waterfall was poring to heavily for us beginners to abseil down so we abseiled beside the waterfall. Safety first!
All in all, an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go canyoning again.
Not to be missed if you’re in Katoomba!
Canyoning is such a great way to get into nature and highly recommend the High & Wild team!
They teach you everything you need to know about how to do it safely and also they’re always making you feel super safe during the activity.
If you're debating on whether to do this tour or the half day abseiling adventure, I highly recommend this one since you'll be able to abseil in Juggler Canyon with the beautiful forest landscape.
