We had an awesome time with Elisha, sharing her stories of her family, ancestors and the beautiful areas of North Stradbroke Island. Not only did we learn a lot from the tour, but we were also able to see the sights from a locals perspective. Couldn’t recommend Elisha and Kura Tours and definitely don’t go past the seafood picnic on the beach. Thanks again and hopefully we get back up to the island some day.

An incredible experience. Elisha shared so much with us all and we were the richer for it. Minjerribah gained many further dimensions with her stories and those of her family. Start your time there with Elisha if you can.

Elisha is amazing. I'd actually spied her giving one of these tours years earlier, and was so affected by her magnetic, grounded and uplifting energy that I promised myself I would treat myself one day. I finally booked our Yura Tour earlier this month with a group of friends at the start of a special holiday on Minjerribah, and it couldn't have been a more beautiful opener. Elisha is friendly, down to earth, deeply knowledgable about country (with many incredible stories of direct family experience) and just a real joy to be near. We all felt more deeply connected to this special place and so many friends commented on how wonderful she was and thanked me for including this as it was such a special and meaningful addition to our stay.
Thank you Elisha! You're a superstar and I will be recommending your tours far and wide! We appreciate you so much xoxo

I was so excited to find a high quality and personalised indigenous tour of Minjerribah! We live on Quandamooka Country and it was so great to have this experience with someone who was able to share with us the beautiful stories and knowledge of the island. We had a fantastic morning and enjoyed every minute! Elisha was incredibly kind and welcoming. She was really thoughtful on checking in with me about the terrain and walking (as I have some physical limitations) and made my daughter feel so included in everything! We were able to taste some native berries and learn about native plant uses. This was the perfect experience for us as homeschoolers to learn about our local area. We even had a bonus dog companion in the car! ❤️

The tour was really amazing! Tour guide and host Elisha took my husband and I to show around the places where we never been and tell us about the Quandamooka people, places and the deep history. We feel more appreciative that Quandamooka people and country are still welcoming us to visit or stay on this beautiful island. This tour was an eye-opener for us to understand this deep, rich culture and nature on this country!

We had the most wonderful 3-hour cultural driving tour with Elisha exploring all of the most stunning hidden gems of Minjerribah (Straddie) ???? Elisha is an absolutely beautiful soul, and a wealth of Aboriginal cultural and historical knowledge which she shares with such passion for her island home and her Quandamooka people. Elisha takes her visitors on a relaxed walk through Country where her ancestors lived and foraged for food, and where they struggled under colonial rule, telling stories of creation and of times past, and sharing her joy of the flora and fauna. By the end of the tour you can really share in the magic of this place and the importance of continuing to preserve this fascinating cultural history. An incredible experience worth every minute! ????️Thank you SO much Elisha, we will never forget this!

The tour itself was brilliant. We visited a number of beautiful sites, of great importance to the Quandamooka people, and learned about their history, ancient and modern. Many of those stories are populated by Elisha's own relatives and ancestors and she was able to talk vividly about their role in shaping the indigenous history of the island, visiting the key locations. We also visited an art gallery featuring some of the beautiful work of Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, a local Aboriginal artist.
Elisha also showed huge passion for the wildlife of the island and we had some fascinating encounters along the way.
At the end she ensured we were dropped off at our choice of one of the amazing beaches on the north of the island, with a good recommendation for lunch!
This really was a wonderful experience.

This wonderful tour is a rare treat and just what i was looking for. Elisha is a wonderful storyteller, and the stories she tells as she drives you around the island are both personal and cultural, weaving her family's history into stories about how indigineous people lived and thrived -- hunted, ate and used plants and trees for medicine, shelter, and so many other things, explained natural phenomena through beautiful myths and legends -- all while showing you gorgeous, even breathtaking, parts of the island. It's a lovely exposure to first nations culture. I highly recommend it.

Amazing experience. Elisha has so much knowledge and the perfect upbeat personality to make her stories sink in. She shared everything from the best bush tukker plants to stories about creation. She listened to our questions and stories with an open ear and heart. Her family have done incredible things for the island and it's clear she is following in their footsteps. Thank you for making our trip!

It took me a nearly two years of wanting to go on this tour to actually get there and II really enjoyed learning about country - stories that were new to me, plant identification and tasting - yep tasting how great. There is such a rich Aboriginal
Culture in Australia and it’s vital
That we take these opportunities to learn and pay respect to people, culture and to appreciate the country we live and work on. Elisha is a warm and sharing tour guide and lots of fun to be with. It was really awesome
To meet other people in the tour too. I will be back for more.

I have been coming to Stradbroke Island for 25 years and have never experienced the island in such an informative and profound way. Elisha, our guide, was very professional and friendly. Her knowledge comes from stories told by her Elders and research. Her stories were told so well, I am going to treasure this experience forever and hopefully will make justice sharing it with my family and friends. I strongly recommend Yura Tours if you are visiting the Minjerribah. Baru Yari!
