Join Delta Kay for an inspiring walking tour on the sacred lands of Walgun (Cape Byron) as we make our way along the iconic lighthouse trail.

Come with Delta Kay for an inspiring 2.5 hour guided Aboriginal walking tour as we make our way along the 3.7 km iconic Walgun Cape Byron Lighthouse Loop Trail.

Beginning at Captain Cook Lookout and Picnic Area (Bawaii Rest Station), this tour takes guests up the Tallow Ridge Walking Track through serene coastal rainforests before reaching the Cape Byron Lighthouse, revealing breathtaking panoramic views of the region. The tour then follows the Cape Byron Walking Track past Australia’s most easterly point, Wategos Beach, The Pass and then returning back to Captain Cook Lookout.

During the tour, Delta will share powerful Dreaming stories, offering deep insights into the cultural and spiritual significance of the surrounding landscapes. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about native bush foods and natural medicine, and if we’re lucky, we might spot some native wildlife like dolphins, koalas, sea eagles and wallabies.

As you explore the Lighthouse trail, let the beauty of the land and its ancient stories connect you to Country.

IMPORTANT – Moderate fitness is required for this tour, with steep sections and lots of stairs as you ascend the rainforest trail. This tour is also NOT recommended for children under 8 years of age.
