Your Unhurried Itinerary
Spend a peaceful day connecting with nature, craft, and community:
- 10:00 am – Warm Welcome: Arrive and settle in with refreshing morning tea and coffee.
- 10:30 am – Weaving at the Long Table: Enjoy two unhurried hours of instruction from weaving artist Cynamon. Wander through the gardens to learn about wild fibres, and learn the techniques to craft your own unique basket.
- 12:30 pm – Seasonal Lunch & Wine Tasting: Sit down to an abundant spread sourced from Fair Harvest’s gardens and select Indigenous foods by Koort to Koort Creations. Sip and savour all four Mitu wines, guided by founder Florence.
- 1:30 pm – Connection & Conversation: Relax at the long table, enjoying the wines and the company of your fellow weavers.
- 2:00 pm – Farewell: Head home with your completed hand-woven basket and the skills to keep weaving.
What You Will Create
You will craft a beautiful, hand-woven basket using raffia and selected natural fibres. With no prior experience needed, you will be guided step-by-step to complete your unique creation to take home.

Meet Your Hosts
This exclusive program is led by Florence Drummond, founder of Mitu Wines—an award-winning, Indigenous-owned label. Florence weaves alongside you and leads the wine tasting. She is joined by Cynamon Aeria of Wild Art Weaving, who will guide your creative journey.

Mitu means me and you in Torres Strait Islander Creole. Mitu Wines is an Indigenous-owned wine label from Margaret River, Western Australia. Weave & Wine is where the label meets the people who share its ethos of celebrating moments together. A day built around making something with your hands, eating well, and sitting down together.

A permaculture farm running since 1995, a short drive from the centre of town — gardens, orchard, wide verandahs, walking trails and a bird hide. Free parking on site.
Good to Know
- Adults only. Guests must be 18 years or over.
- Maximum twenty guests. Minimum eight for the session to run.
- Four hours, 10.00am to 2.00pm.
- No weaving experience is needed, and there is nothing to bring.
- Dress for a farm: flat shoes you do not mind getting dusty, a hat, and layers.
- Please tell us about dietary requirements at least seven days ahead.
- The session runs in most weather, with undercover space available.
- Please arrive fifteen minutes before the start so we can begin together.
