Day 1: Darwin – Kakadu National Park & Ubirr at Sunset
Depart Darwin for the stunning Wetlands Region, home to incredible birdlife and lurking crocodiles! Journey on to Kakadu and check in at your cozy camp in Jabiru. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre to dive into the park’s wildlife and landscapes. Head to Cahills Crossing on the Kakadu/Arnhem Land border. Experience Ubirr Rock’s world-class Aboriginal rock art and climb for a sunset that will blow your mind over the Nadab Floodplain. Return to camp for a delicious shared dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 2: Gunlom Falls, Jim Jim Falls & Plunge Pools – Jabiru Return
Rise early for a day of hiking and swimming in Kakadu’s spectacular waterfalls and plunge pools. Explore monsoon rainforests, rocky escarpments, and cool off in crystal-clear waters at Gunlom Falls, Jim Jim Falls, or Motor Car Falls (depending on group ability and seasonal conditions). Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn about traditional stories and artefacts. Return to camp for a hearty dinner and well-earned rest.

- Driving Distance: Minimum 150km depending on waterfall access. Please note this includes a minimum of 40kms offroad on each journey.

Day 3: Kakadu – Katherine
Discover Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) rock art and stunning lookouts including Kunwarddewardde and Nawurlandja. Picnic by the picturesque Barramundi Gorge (Maguk) Waterfall, with a refreshing swim in its natural plunge pool (moderate to high fitness required, alternative waterholes may be used subject to park closures). Travel south through Kakadu to your private Katherine campsite for another night under the stars.

Day 4: Katherine – Nitmiluk National Park
Early start for the 2-hour NitNit Katherine Gorge cruise, gliding through towering 70m rock walls alive with wildlife and creation stories. Optional scenic helicopter flights offer breathtaking aerial views of Nitmiluk and Katherine Gorge. Relax and cool off at the stunning Edith Falls, with its large plunge pool beneath cascading waterfalls. Return to camp for a spectacular sunset and stargazing.

- Options: Scenic helicopter flights
- Driving Distance: 470km
- Hike Distance and Grading: 2km Grade 2-4 depending on the walk embarked on. The main pool (when open) is a short walk with low grades. Upper pools require a reasonably steep climb and descent, and at least a moderate level of fitness and agility.
Day 5: Katherine – Litchfield National Park – Darwin
Head north to Litchfield National Park, a top end paradise with rainforest pockets and refreshing escapes. Marvel at the magnetic termite mounds and swim in natural pools like Buley Rockholes, Wangi Falls, or visit Florence Falls and Tolmer Falls. After an epic adventure, relax on the journey back to Darwin for a well-deserved rest.

- Personal travel insurance – Not a must, but we strongly recommend you have it, just in case.
- For anything extra—snacks, drinks, souvenirs, or those special moments on the road.
- Meals not listed in the itinerary – Don’t worry though, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab a bite along the way. If you’ve got special dietary needs, we recommend bringing snacks since options can be limited in the outback.

CHILD POLICY:
Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under, due to safety requirements and the level of fitness required to complete the walk.
WEATHER:
The weather in the Northern Territory can fluctuate and be extreme. It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 50+ degrees Celsius in the dry season and in the evening the temperature drops dramatically. Please ensure you have checked the average temperature for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Passenger Details – At the time of booking, please provide your essential details: date of birth, any food allergies, and a contact phone number. This helps us ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Dietary Requirements – We want to cater to all your dietary needs, but please let us know about any specific requirements when booking. As we head into more remote areas, options can be limited once the tour departs, so early notice is key!
- Medical Conditions – If you have any known medical conditions, please notify us at the time of booking. This tour is physically demanding, requiring a moderate level of fitness and mobility, so we want to make sure you’re fully prepared for the adventure!
- Fitness Level – This tour requires a moderate to advanced level of fitness to complete the walks. Expect daily walks ranging from 2-4 km, often across steep and rocky terrain, with plenty of sun and high humidity. There’s also a longer 9 to 11km walk included. Your guide will adjust the pace for safety. If you’re over 75, a doctor’s certificate is required, and it must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your departure.
- Age Restrictions – For the younger adventurers, children aged 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Unfortunately, the tour is not suitable for children aged 7 and under due to safety reasons and the physical demands of the walks.
- Mobility Considerations – This tour isn’t suitable for travellers with mobility challenges, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers.
- Baggage Limitations – Space on the vehicle is limited, so each traveller can bring one 15 kg travel bag and one 5 kg day bag. If you have larger luggage, it will need to be stored at your hotel during the tour.
- Itinerary Variations – Keep in mind that itineraries may change due to weather conditions, or occasionally sites in the parks may close for cultural reasons or restricted access to swimming holes. We always prioritize safety and aim to offer the best experience for you, no matter the changes!
- Guest Participation – We encourage you to get involved! You’ll have the chance to help with lunch prep, unpacking, and loading luggage into the vehicles. It’s a great way to bond with your fellow travellers and create a relaxed, fun atmosphere throughout the trip.

My favorite experience was snorkeling with the Whale Sharks followed closely by snorkeling with the Manta Rays in the Ningaloo Reef.
Our tour guide Craig M was funny, insightful and so helpful!
All the stops are well thought out for you to see the most / get pics / experience etc.
Wear sensible shoes as there is quite a bit of walking when you do stop (esp if you want to do the longer route in the rainforest). Also bring a small towel to dry your feet if you go for a paddle

Total number of pax in the bus were around 10 and everyone is friendly. Duane have it organized well and were very helpful and friendly throughout the trip. Love his voice and his approach to us in the bus.
My 2 yo daughter also seem to love Duane alot and hence, make the one day trip much more enjoyable. What more surprised were that 2 days later while we were on a tour to philip island, we actually got honed by him and he greeted us and my daughter say hi to him again!
