We have loved Brown brothers and their wines for many years...been here before but the first time for wine tasting.
Rosa at the tasting room is just amazing..
We had a wonderful experience with a very knowledgeable lady that use to own her own winery.....lunch here was very nice. The restaurant manager went out of his way to secure us a ice bucket for our sav blanc when they had apparently run out. It's a really beautiful winery with very good staff..

It's quite busy here, ideal for larger tasting groups. The children's playground is very handy if you need something to keep the kids occupied during the tasting. There's a restaurant nearby for lunch.

Lots of wine styles. Pick 5 for tasting for a fee. Talk nicely and you'll probably get one or two others to taste. Standing and seating tasting. Restaurant. Indoor and outdoor shaded seating. Bean bags in the garden. Popular for dressed up hens parties.

We visited here during a nice little day out and had the degustation for lunch, it was a really nice experience and the winery is very pretty, especially with great weather like we had on our visit.

The two staff members ( 1 male & 1 female ) who took care of our table were very lovely and accommodating and we received a lovely gift for a recent special occasion which was a very kind finish to our lunch.

I really appreciated the extra effort put into accommodating for my nut allergy, I was served my own servings seperate to the others which made me feel very comfortable and safe.

Lovely place to visit.

Delicious We went here for a tasting and had the best time. We were greeted by name on arrival and shown to our table. We were treated to an extensive tasting session with a history of each sample we tried. We went home with a bottle of Grand Muscadelle.
Well worth it. We will be back.

Prosecco Brunch Stunning scenery and service. We loved the experience. An awesome girls brunch that catered for individual dietary requirements.

Tour and Taste of the BB vineyard A long time lover of BB and while in the area had to go for a visit to see where my fav is produced. Had a short tour of the barn, cellars and the ground and then the tasting. Tasted many different varieties and learnt that red wine isn't so nasty after all and even purchased a limited released sparking for the xmas table this year..

I have had the best day. My birthday and i felt so special.
Brown Bros Milawa has always been a favoured destination for me but today, the best.
The staff, the food, the wine...nothing was wrong.
Everything was ideal: good food, good wine and great service.
Service staff are what sells a venue and the staff here today were so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. My kind of people.
I liked every bit of of the menu and recommend them to everybody.

We had a wonderful experience with Milawa Luxe Escape, a collaboration of Brown Brothers and Church Lane Accommodation this weekend.

The Church Lane Accommodation was beautiful, quiet and private. At Brown Brothers, we were served the Slow Lunch by Henry and it was such a wholesome experience. We do a lot of rushed meals, so having a slow lunch with beautifully complimenting wines got us to relish the efforts involved. The cheese, cured meats and the accompaniments we received to take with us was lovely too. We brought the 2 matching wines before heading back.

The next day we had a slow start, enjoying the Church Lane Accommodation, before going to the Wine Tour and Taste at Brown Brothers’. Rosa was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable in guiding us through our tasting, with great placement to help us take better note of the differences and enjoying the complexities of well made wine. We purchased more wine that we selected from the tasting, that we wanted to share with friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our weekend in Milawa, Brown Brothers collaboration with Church Lane Accommodation - Luxe Escape. We are especially grateful to the people that made our experience wonderful - Sam, Colin, Henry and Rosa.

We absolutely adored our visit to Brown Brothers planned by Sarah who put together a wonderful itinerary for us! The setting is beautiful and the cellar door is so inviting with the open fire, historical displays, and use of wine barrels to decorate the space.

We had the most amazing tasting & tour experience at the cellar door hosted by Jacob who was fabulous at teaching us all about the different wines and how they’re made in a way that was fun, informative, and relatable as someone who enjoys wine but isn’t overly knowledgeable on the subject. He tailored the tasting to our individual preferences and there wasn’t one I didn’t like. We ended up buying many bottles both for ourselves and as gifts after discovering some new favourites.

We also had the 5 course degustation lunch in the winery restaurant which was spectacular. Each course consisted of multiple elements that worked in perfect harmony and were utterly delicious, especially when paired with the matching wines. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive throughout.

Overall I would highly recommend visiting even if it just for a tasting, but definitely check out the range of extra experiences they offer too, there’s definitely more we plan to do too. We’re already planning a return visit for next year as we loved the Milawa region and this winery was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Great way to start the day... Brunch exceeded expectations; food pairing was excellent and a couple of Proseccos that we had not tasted previously. Dom, our host, was engaging, knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the winery.

Wine tasting OMG the wine tasting was terrific. Ask for Jacob. He knows all about the wines. Very impressive. We all loved the experience.

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at Brown Brothers Winery! I've had the privilege of photographing weddings here in all weather conditions - from intimate small ceremonies to big celebrations - and each and everyone has been absolutely breathtaking.
What makes this venue truly special is that you can feel that warmth and passion in everything they do. Everyone always goes above and beyond - they're genuinely passionate about good food, excellent wine, and creating one heck of a celebration!
This venue truly shines no matter what. Rain or shine, I can always find the perfect backdrop, and the surroundings are always beautifully maintained.
Their attention to detail and genuine care for each couple is incredible. You can tell they truly love what they do, and that passion makes every wedding feel so special.
I can't recommend Brown Brothers Winery highly enough - it's consistently one of my favourite venues to work at.

Highly recommended experience There were just two of us. We were delightedly surprised to find out that the Prosecco brunch is booked for one group at a time. And that was us!
A lovely, and informative Irish fellow took us through the 5 proseccos (2 non-alcoholic), and an array of fresh pastries, fruit, sliced prosciutto, and baked slices.
We visited the Cellar door afterwards and wandered the gardens.
We enjoyed our experience and would fully recommend it.

Amazing food and nice ambiance. Stopped by here on our way to Wangaratta for a quick bite. We had to come back the next day for lunch, that’s how we loved the food! The wines are exquisite and good value. Staff are great - good customer service and very friendly.

Absolutely outstanding meal today. We have had many family celebrations including our wedding at Brown Brothers over the last 20 years. The meal today was so delicious and the service we received was outstanding. Thank you to Tom and Niall for looking after us and recommending wines to accompany each course and laughing with us.

Had the best day at Brown Brother winery with a few girlfriends, I purchased a few boxes of wine, port and adventure gift packs ! I highly recommend checking it out , one on my favourite wineries in the world 👍👍We now serve the Ginger Lime Spritz to our customers on our Sunset kayak trips on the Murray River in Albury - very Refreshing the perfect summer drink 👍👍

The food here was delicious. And best of all, unlike most wineries, this place actually has soft drinks, making it enjoyable for kids as well. There are also beanbags outside, so you can sit, relax, get Vitamin D, spend some time soaking in the sun, and drink your wine all at the same time. If you're looking for wineries and you're somewhere near Milawi, or you want to go to a winery with delicious food, then I highly recommend this outstanding winery.

The slow lunch was wonderful, with excellent and innovative food matched to delicious wines. My tip is to stay the night in Milawa so you can enjoy the whole experience and not have to drive anywhere. Our waiter Jayse was knowledgeable and friendly, and took time to explain each course (there were 5 of them), as well as answering our questions about the food and the winery. I would highly recommend it!

Terrific way to spend time in Milawa wine tasting at an historic winery We stopped and did a seated tasting at Brown Bros.
Very well looked after by Henry who was knowledgeable and engaging with the tasting. This is how wine tastings should be conducted - interesting, informative and delivered with a genuine belief in the product. Well done Henry.
The winery itself is an experience. New varieties and wine making methods are encouraged and this shows in the range of wines. Not all were to our liking but full credit for the effort.
Unfortunately we were there on a Wednesday so the restaurant was closed but we will be back to sample the fare in the near future.

Birthday celebration lunch - 3 course set menu. We had the 3 course set menu. Entrees were tiny tastings and not everyone enjoyed it. Main was nice, especially the chicken. The children’s menu needs to be more kid-friendly. Polenta chips aren’t really suitable. Just do plain chips, maybe a couple more options.
It was disappointing that after spending $600 in the restaurant there was no discount in the cellar . Even on a $70 bottle of wine.
Lovely setting and beautiful gardens. We stayed over the road in the free camp so thanks Brown Brothers for that.

On the Alpine Road, a great pit stop awaits Yesterday, after a lack lustre ski trip to Falls Creek. we stopped into the Brown Brothers Winery at Milawa in Victoria.
I have been there twice before,but this time I was showing my partner around the winery.
After, a quick stop to the restaurant, we headed to the wine tasting building to sample a range of their award winning wines.
Our Wine host, Jacob, was so knowledgeable, calm and customer orientated, he relaxed us completely, so we could make informed decisions on our wine bottle purchases.
Brown Brothers Winery is a great reason to stop in Milawa and so is the Milawa Cheese shop, a couple of kilometers away.

A fantastic place to visit whether you like wine or not I visited Brown Brothers to purchase a bottle of wine to take back to the UK for friend who loves the wine. I wanted help as I wasn’t a wine drinker however I thought I might as well do a wine tasting session. It might have only been 10:30am but I figured it’s 5pm somewhere in the world 😂
I explained to Mark my dislike of wine and told him the tastes I did enjoy. Mark tailored the tasting to my likes and converted me and found several wines I really enjoyed. Mark also hand picked some wine for me to take home for me and my friend. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the staff I met, Mark and Jacob were very knowledgeable and so lovely.

My daughter and son-in-law were married at Brown brothers in April 2024. We would just like to highly recommend them to any couples out there looking for a wedding and reception venue. From the time of booking through to the day after they were superb! The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. We had an absolutely gorgeous day and the barn looked amazing. Special thanks to Taylah and Alex for all their help in making sure everything ran smoothly, we can’t thank you enough. X

We booked set menu ant the restaurant and we were so impressed with how good the food was! We loved absolutely everything we ate!
I am vegetarian & pregnant and my partner is a typical bloke who usually only orders parmas when out and they catered for our needs amazingly!
They allowed us to sit outside as we had our dog, Nudge with us and he was well looked after too! Jayce & Alex were our waiter & waitress for the day and they were so incredibly nice and their service was amazing!
We can’t wait to go back already!

A beautiful place to relax and enjoy What a lovely place to not just try a few wines but to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, graze on some food and wind down and relax. The staff were lovely and helpful and our experience with wine tasting was pressure free, and that’s very important. No sales pressure to purchase is really appreciated. We had a lovely few hours at Brown Brothers and will definitely return.

Only ok Surroundings were lovely and dog friendly. Tried the grazing menu. All passable, nothing stood out .all ok, not great. Didn’t think much of the Patricia Shiraz or dry rose wines. Was initially thinking of their fine dining option but after this would be inclined to give that a miss. IMO not good value for $.

Brown Brothers, what an amazing setting. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the cellar door. Very interesting. We were there on a Monday so it was quiet, but we could see that they cater for all size groups. We loved the private tasting room, very intimate. Staff were very friendly. Tried some lovely wines. This is a winery with lots of history and I imagine it would be very interesting listening to the stories. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful location We had not been to Brown brothers for a considerable number of years and while on a short break decided to call in. I must say it has changed significantly. As you pull up there is a lovely grassy/shaded area so you can sit and have a few glasses of wine or have lunch in the restaurant or simply have a tea or coffee. The tea by the way was as good as I would make myself at home.

We went in for the wine tasting but also a look at all the history of the winery and the family. It is a very interesting read. Our wine tasting was really good and our host for this was Jacob who was very knowledgeable on all things Wine and made the tasting enjoyable. We will definitely visit again in the not too distant future.

We stayed at the campground across the road, which is: so handy to all the milawa gourmet area has to offer, esp if he Brown Bros winery 👌🏼. The grounds are beautiful with lots of seating in the sun or shade on their manicured grass. We went in for a tasting & discovered delicious wines that aren’t on their tasting list, THANKS TO RUSSELL, who is super friendly & and font of knowledge! Being a sweet wine drinker, Russell introduced me to the strawberries & cream, raspberry & white chocolate, hot cross buns & moscato gold varieties. Delicious 👌🏼. So glad we visited & did the tastings. Bought plenty & will keep my eyes open for these limited edition varieties in the shops. Thx Brown Bros & Russell for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Five-star Treatment - fabulous visit! Visiting with a group who have never been to Cellar Door. Their experience (& their sales!!) was fantastic. The young man who looked after our group was fabulous & went out of his way to make sure the group enjoyed their visit. He was full of knowledge, answering every question without hesitation. Congrats Brown Brothers - the sales that weekend ALL went your way, despite visiting "Tastes of Rutherglen"!

Our visit to Brown Brothers Winery was nothing short of fantastic.

Despite being unable to explore the vineyards, the immaculate estate and sunny weather set a delightful ambiance. We indulged in a wonderful wine tasting experience at the cellars, savoring an exquisite selection of wines.

Although the restaurant was understaffed and unable to accommodate bookings, the service remained commendable, with the waitress candidly informing us of the situation. We still relished in a diverse menu of grazing options, each dish complementing the wines, lemonade, and strong coffee.

The beauty of the estate added to the overall charm, making it a highly recommended destination for a memorable day out with family.

Drove up especially to try the set lunch menu and absolutely loved it!

Took the pups for a lazy day out and they enjoyed the grass area. This place is a well set up place catering families with a playground, picnic blankets and beanbag style seats.

11 dishes washed down with an estate Chardonnay was spot on. Great knowledgeable staff and a vibrant atmosphere.

The house made olive oil is out of this world.

Will definitely be going back!

We love this winery. The wine is great. Wide selection of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cab Sav and loads more. The food is really good, and there’s a nice little playground for younger children. We were there midweek today and it was pretty quiet. We’ve been there before on busy days and it’s still pretty good because there’s loads of space. Also, their fortified wines are amazing.

Excellent brunch We had a lovely experience. The food and wine was amazing and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and fun. I would highly recommend and I will definitely be going back.

Second time - We had a slow lunch course that was amazing, so there were different dishes. I like the oyster leaves that taste like oysters and chicken skin chocolate is good, too(chocolate was service and we couldn't guess what's inside). The service was welcoming and friendly ????

love the wine but not the place as much as we love wine and Brown brothers wine we were disappointed in the winery. my Husband has been several years ago and loved it so much but tis time it wasnt as good. Brown brothers has gone to commercial now and lost its appeal.

Absolutely amazing experience, the wine tasting with Mark was fantastic and he was so wonderful and knowledgeable and very accommodating! We ended up walking out with 6 wines when we originally were just thinking of getting 1 or 2. Our lunch at the restaurant was also spectacular and the waiters were all very friendly and welcoming!

Just experienced my first wine tasting ever, and couldn’t have picked a better winery than Brown Brothers! My partner & I did the premium wine tasting and enjoyed a vast variety of wines, served to us by Mark.
Mark had a great amount of knowledge and shared with us the history and culture of each wine we tried. We could not have had better service, thanks Mark! (I told myself I’d only buy 2 wines, but I left with 4!!)

Love the area. Great place to have wine tasting and lunch. Staff were very helpful. Tesla charging is also available. Great selections of wine and ither gift items. Parking spaces available.

I love an experience where you try one dish and it’s delicious. Then try another and it’s also amazing. And the third is also delicious and you then you can’t pick your favourite. This was the great start to the menu at Brown Brothers. The venue has well spaced tables and floor to ceiling glass windows which allow you to sip and eat while surrounded by the green trees. This was perfectly matched by the service by Jason and Alex. I was surprised when given the set menu that it wasn’t chose one dish from each section - you get all the dishes! And all for $80. Incredible value. Each dish is locally sourced perfectly paired with a Brown Brothers wine. It’s become my favorite regional Victorian restaurant.

Love it, loved it loved it. Third time lucky after 2 earlier postponements due to Covid-19 and wife's hip operation. Was not disappointed. Slow lunch was wonderful, food was great, staff ???? just fantastic, chefs should be commended. Naomi was fabulous, just loved her assistance and service. Alex was great. Cannot rate highly enough. Our delayed anniversary lunch was simply the best. Thank you to the whole team. We do also really appreciated our anniversary gift. It truly has been a wonderful lunch and an awesome experience. And yes, I loved the enthusiasm and service of Naomi.

Visited for a function and could not fault the service, food and atmosphere. The Barn and the setting was just beautiful. The music was excellent provided by an eight piece band "Sweet Buzz". Great night.

Enjoy a fun drinking day with free RV stop We been here yrs ago and thought we would stop again as they have a free RV parking spot for a night or two straight across the road from cellar door. Big carpark with a grassed area if needed. Dogs allowed in RV site but not in cellar door. Water available in car park but no amenities. Great for a night stay over so you can enjoy winery and other close attractions.

To enjoy great food and wine We went for the long lunch which is not listed at the top. Not only was the food amazing. The setting and service were fantastic. Such friendly down to earth staff made the afternoon entertaining and fun

Great experience as usual, our server was amazing, very friendly, and had great knowledge of the menu. The food was excellent value and and we enjoyed the experience. The chef obviously enjoys subtle flavours and allowing the produce to shine on its own, personally I would have liked more seasoning, but it was nice to experience well thought out food that isn't my personal style. Warmer plates would be a wonderful enhancement on an otherwise excellent lunch.

Amazing slow lunch From the moment of arrival until we left, we had the most outstanding experience! We were gutted when our booked taxi didn't arrive at our lodgings and ended up half an hour late, we called and let the restaurant know and it wasn't a problem. A big thank you to our waitress Alex!! She has the brightest personality and excellent knowledge of the devine, mouthwatering experience my taste buds have ever had. Compliments to the chefs!!! Paired with the delicious wines, the food was out if this world. Thank you all for a most memorable birthday!!

Absolutely loved the wine tasting experience! This was my first ever winery experience and Steve was so lovely and had so many suggestions not only about the wine but where there is good food in the area. We ended up buying 7 bottles of wine (a lot of them I never thought I would like until this experience). My partner and I will definitely come back!

Private Prosecco Brunch at Brown Brothers Winery We had an amazing experience at our Private Prosecco Brunch, a gift from our family to celebrate my husband's significant birthday.
A beautiful setting, delicious selection of food and coffee followed by tasting of various wines, both non alcoholic and alcoholic.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
I would highly recommend this.

The premium wine tasting was a great experience. Allowed us to compare current and cellared vintages of the same wines, it was very interesting. They have a very extensive range. Henry was very knowledgeable and gave great information about the history winery, it's owners and of coarse the wines. I was impressed how comfortable he made us feel about giving our own views of the wines.
