We saw people queueing to board and decided to ask the captain n the ticket checker for last minute tickets. They were so sweet and kind and accomodating. Thank you for excellent customer service. The experience on board was fantastic. The music was great with the live band. I cannot speak more highly of the experience. The scenery was great. A bit windy though but that was expected.I recommend this sunset cruise for sure. I will be back to try another one maybe seal cruise. Thank you wildlife coast cruises

Love the captain's knowledge of the area. The crew were amazing, ensuring everyone was comfortable and attending to those that got sea sick.
You can tell the captain loves the area and will actively stop by areas of he finds points of interest (we were lucky enough to spot dolphins). We got very close to the seals and spent a good amount of time understanding their life cycle.

Kids absolutely loved the tour and got a turn to steer the boat at the end - they're already nagging to go again!

Seal Watching Philip Island The Seal Watching cruise was exceptional. It was very obvious from the beginning that this was a family business that was covering all bases for customer experience - great communication before the event, reasonable pricing, supported boarding on the day, comfortable boat, knowledgeable staff and lots of seal sightings. During the cruise, the commentary was not a script or recording but the captain of the boat, who was obviously a local and had extensive knowledge of the region, the water passage and seal colony. The information was informative and environmentally aware. The crew went above and beyond to support, be kind, ensure safety was understood and everyone could see the seals with ease. Once we were at the colony, the boat was moved around so that the best views were available to everyone. There was plenty of time at the colony. On board there are snacks and drinks for sale, plus clean toilets. The seating on the boat was plentiful and thoughtful for different group times. The boat bookings were measured and so it was not at all crowded when they stopped available bookings. A lovely touch was the crew came around with a generous piece of iced cake for everyone on the ride back to shore. Upon leaving the boat, the captain and crew farewelled everyone. I highly recommend this tour as personable, educational and fun. Great value for money.

Sunset cruise We had a lovely time as a family of four. went on the leisure sunset cruise, the staff were very friendly. The live music was the best part.

Fantastic We went on the Christmas Fireworks Cruise from San Remo to Cowes. The staff were fantastic, the live music was lots of fun & we had a first class view of the fireworks. Loved it.

A trip well worth going on An absolutely wonderful experience. We went really close to the rocks so had a fantastic view of the seals both on land and in the water. The commentary was informative . The captain and crew were very professional and friendly. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Best sunset cruise I’ve ever had The staff were so professional and caring. The musicians were fantastic and the complimentary platters were really tasty. Have also had the prawns and couldn’t believe how many large succulent prawns you go it for $29! The drinks were reasonably priced. We picked an amazing night weather wise so were treated to the woolami caves saw seals and fabulous sunset. Truly great value for money and a must do for everyone who comes to Phillip Island! I took my 96 year old father(3rd trip on this boat!)

After a light breakfast at Sanny's Bakehouse, we headed for the pier to board our cruise.
We arrived a little earlier than the half hour prior to departure, as required. To our surprise & delight, we found that a seal pup had decided to rest on the grate by the steps we were to use to board the vessel. Our 3yo grandson was happy to observe the pup. We set off two minutes after the scheduled depature time.
The Captain was informative, & we enjoyed the the scenery, the changing colours of the water, & the birds. It was a little rough, but our party were fine with the motion of the vessel.
The staff were helpful & friendly, & on the return leg we were served coffee & cake. A nice touch.
Arrival back in port was on time, & we disembarked, heading to the nearby beach to watch the pelicans being fed.
I would recommend this cruise. It is an interesting & relaxing way to spend an hour & gain a different perspective of the area.
Parking was free in a parking lot opposite the Co-op.
The cruise was not really suitable for those with mobility issues.

A trip towards the granite Rocks of the Colonades Had an enjoyable hour trip on the water to the Colonnades at Cape Woolami. Enjoyed the interesting commentary and seeing the huge granite rocks
A very worthwhile trip to get a different view of the coastal landscape.

Had a wonderful seal tour trip. Saw lots of wildlife, especially lots of fur seals. We got really close to them so you could see and hear them clearly.

The crew were all super nice and friendly and very knowledgeable- happy to answer any questions we had.

The complementary banana cake was a nice touch and very tasty!

Booking was very easy, as was boarding. I think the price was fair for what you get.

The only negative is that it was difficult to hear announcements over the engine noise and other passengers while on transit.

But overall a really great trip that I highly recommend if you’re at Phillip Island!

Tip: it’s very windy on the boat, especially when moving so take layers.

Fantastic day out on the Bass Strait Fantastic cruise into the Bass Strait from Port Welshpool. Lots of whales, dolphins, seals and birdlife. The crew are lovely. Six hours passed quickly and was very enjoyable. Highly recommend this cruise for a fantastic day out.

6hr Whale Watching Cruise The 6hr whale watching cruise was wonderful. We were fortunate with the weather on the day. We seen seals, dolphins, albatross, pied cormorants and whales. The dolphins and whales were so close to the boat. It was wonderful.
The staff and crew were so friendly and going all around the boat giving us info on all the sea life. One of our party had an onion allergy and they took so much time to make sure they got her lunch right. Great value and a great day out.

Great experience I joined a whale watching cruise from Wilsons Promontory in Oct 2025, we were able to see at least 5-6 whales on the ocean, saw a calf jumping out of water too, it's amazing. Definitely worth a try despite a long drive from Melbourne.

Awesome opportunity to sea Whales! The crew were friendly, helpful and attentive. We didn't get sick but a couple of our fellow passengers did and the crew looked after them well. We were fortunate enough to see whales (multiple sightings), a seal and some dolphins. We were given plenty of information about the animals, opportunities to ask questions and plenty of time for photos and taking in the awe-inspiring creatures. We were served morning and afternoon tea and lunch, all of which was delicious. Free-flowing tea, coffee and hot chocolate were available during the voyage, which was welcome warmth against the sea winds. I'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of going, remember to bring a hat and jacket

Seal rock Phillip Island Visit to seal rock, 2 Hr excursion.
We signed up for this trip in a spur of the moment walking buy and did not regret it.
the captain really to us a few meters away from seal rock and we could almost tpouch the seals swimming around the boat.
We really enjoyed this and would do it again.

Cruise to Cape Woolami Cruise was as explained in brochure, staff were knowledgable, friendly and approachable. Weather was terrible but penty of cover on the boat

Had a whale of a good time! This was our second cruise with this company, the first one being around Phillip island, and the second being around Wilson's Prom, at different times of the year. We had been booked in for a Wednesday, but the company informed us that the weather for that day was expected to be too windy and choppy. It was convenient for us to swap to the Tuesday, and it turned out to be a great day. We could see rain and dark skies further off in the distance, but the cruise was not affected by it, and we had relatively calm seas. We were also fortunate in that there was a lot of whale activity. There would be groups of 2, 3, or 4 humpback whales, and there was plenty of fin and tail flapping, blows, dives and one glorious breach from what looked like a young whale. There was also plenty of whale calls, distinctly heard above the wind and across the distance. A pod of small dolphins appeared as we neared the seal area, and a few of them had a race with the boat, disappearing under the bow and shooting out the other side. I am aware that all of what we saw, is pure luck, because our first cruise had not had so many events. But it is such an enjoyable way to spend the day, especially when there is absolute quiet on the front deck, during what turns out to be the last interaction for the day, and everyone is reverently watching whales doing their thing.

Cape Cruise 1 Hour Philip Island Ferry - Recommend. We did the Cape Cruise 1 hour Philip Island and we were super lucky with the animals we saw.
We saw a pod of dolphins a humpback whale and around 5 Seals including a couple of babies. - We know we were lucky and this is not promised.
The staff on board were very welcoming and nice and they made sure we were safe as one point it was very windy and they made sure we were inside.
The complimentary Tea/Coffee and cake were great and I loved this little added treat.
Overall I would recommend - go in open and you never know what you might spot.

Wildlife Coast Cruise Phillip Island It was a fantastic trip . The crew were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful crew. Lovely scenery. We saw Seals, dolphins and a whale.

Spring whale watching at its best! I was on board the Wildlife Cruises whale boat leaving from Port Welshpool on Tuesday 2nd September and cruising down the East side of Wilsons Promontory. We had a perfect day weatherwise, and the sea was not too choppy, making the ride comfortable for almost everyone on board. We were treated to a brief fly past from a Sea Eagle as we left port, then I saw a Little Penguin swimming past as we cruised down the channel, then the captain spotted an Emu foraging along the beach when we passed the first point on Wilsons Promontory: a great start to the day. After making our way down to open water, we spotted our first whales, and duly followed them for some time. There were many dolphins and sea birds with the whales so there was a lot to see all around the boat. In total, we followed 6 or 7 whales and saw at least 20 - 25 whales in total performing various tail slaps, pectoral slaps and feeding events. We were mugged by one whale and had another follow the boat at one point. The captain and crew were all knowledgeable on the whales and dolphins and were very considerate in allowing the whales to have their space. All staff were friendly and accommodating to the guests and were quick to point out where to look for the best viewing. Food options were simple, but tasty, and there were complimentary drinks or the option to purchase items from the bar on board. Highly recommend this cruise and I certainly consider I got great value for money. Thank you to the team at Whale Cruises for a very enjoyable day on the boat.

Amazing! we had an amazing time, everything was wonderful; The Captain, the crew and all the fauna we saw! Dolphins, sea lyons and whales!

A Whale of a time The whale watching trip was simply fabulous. The captain and marine biologist who accompanied us were standards with their knowledge of the area and realise. The crew were welcoming and friendly. The two citizen wildlife photographers who were on the trip to photograph and record the whales were also friendly and happily shared their knowledge of the whales and dolphins.
But it was the whales and dolphins that stole the show. We spent at least two hours watching the dolphins riding the wake of our boat and the amazing humpback whales playfully rolling, slapping their fins and breaching all around the boat.
It was a fabulous experience for us all. We left the day satisfied that we had engaged in a truly wonderful experience with nature

Snagged myself a last minute midweek deal to tick this off my bucket list. Left from 1m visibility fog in Welshpool at 10.30am, I was served a hot muffin on board for morning tea and then a solid day of wildlife spotting. My camera reel is full to bursting. Crew on board were friendly and knowledgeable, full of nerdy whale facts and the best places to spot them. Absolutely unreal day out. Got back to Welshpool at 5pm after a stunning sunset at the Prom. Hard to beat

Wildlife Coast Cruises were amazing throughout our entire experience with them. The staff were extremely accommodating over the phone and via email when arranging our booking (in between the bad weather and other commitments!) The friendly hospitality continued on the cruise where the staff were fabulous with our young family, keeping the kids engaged and excited and explaining a heap of information to us about the water creatures and local areas. Thank you for making our experience one to remember - for the second time now! We will be back for sure next whale season!

Loved our Seal cruise. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Got to see the seals up close and spend some time watching them play. Also were lucky enough to spot some whales on the way back. Staff allowed time for us to wait and get to see the whales. Highly recommend. Better than expected.

Outstanding trip. We were lucky enough to see whales breaching, dolphins playing and seals whirling past!
The crew was great- friendly and helpful with spotting and sharing knowledge. Our one dislike was that out on the bow, we couldn't hear what was being said over the loudspeaker.

Fantastic cruise. We were very lucky with the weather as it was a fine day and the sea was very calm. Within 30min or so of the cruise starting we found a pair of adult humpback whales. It was incredible to watch them, and nice to know there are strict rules about how long we were allowed to follow them for, and the distance we had to keep from them. The crew were incredibly knowledgeable. We were also lucky to see a few dolphins, and it was great seeing how playful the fur seal pups were. The boat itself is a little tired (the seats inside are quite uncomfortable, but we didn’t spend much time sitting in them). Would highly recommend doing this if you’re visiting Phillip Island.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the Island Sunset Cruise at San Remo. The stunning views and breathtaking sunset made for an unforgettable experience. We pre-ordered the upgraded grazing board, which was beautifully presented and delicious. While we loved sitting outside at the back to take in the scenery, we couldn't hear the live music from there, which was a bit of a shame. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and we would highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting the area!

We were booked on this cruise as a wedding gift and it was absolutely perfect. A small cheese and fruit tray was offered with a bar and some music, set the scene for a romantic trip to see some beautiful scenery and wildlife around the island. Recommend it to anyone.

My family had an amazing experience, staff are very friendly and helpful, smooth 1 hour sailing and wonderful view of cape Woolamai. We got to see seals and learn about their habitat. It’s incredible and memorable trip for my 9 year old daughter. We will definitely love to try it again.

Cruise into the sunset We have gone on numerous trips with Wildlife Cruises by ourselves as a couple, as well as family members and friends. Each experience was memorable and unique. Last evening we took a friend on a sunset cruise and once again we were treated to good snacks, wine and a glorious sunset while cruising in Western Port Bay. Wildlife Cruises have staff who are friendly service orientated and the finest Captains around. Thank you for a wonderful experience ️

Poor quality Commentry Cruise was fine but quality of Audio was terrible., therefore no commentary could be heard unless standing under speaker.
You seriously need to address this issue

Amazing Trip! We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Refuge Cove / Skull Rock cruise at Wilsons Prom! The whole experience was well planned out - the commentary from Brett was informative, the staff ( Dave, Abigail, Gary and Jacob) were super friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of food and everyone had the opportunity to paddle board, snorkel or kayak at the cove. We would highly recommend this trip!

Fantastic We’ll this was a surprise experience. We had just had lunch at North Pier Hotel and then went for a walk on the pier. We saw Wildlife Coast Cruises just pulling in to the pier. We asked if we could buy a ticket just prior to boarding and at 2pm off we went.
What a great tour, the staff was awesome 👏, friendly, informative and just nice people.
We had a lovely time sitting upstairs looking out to the rear of the boat. Nice scenery on the way to Seal Rocks.
When we got there the captain gave us an amazing commentary about the rocks, the history and of course the seals. We were up so close you could see them playing and socialising, the young one are very cute.
The captain did an awesome job of keeping us close to the action. The captain was a woman, of course she was very competent and knowledgeable.
What a pleasant surprise going on this tour unexpectedly and loving it.

We took the 2 hour round trip of seal watching cruise with my 6 year old, and it was such a wholesome experience to watch them up close, having the time of their life in their natural habitat!
The weather was perfect, the ocean breeze was refreshing, and the views were absolutely stunning. But the real stars of the show? The adorable seals!
Watching them lounge on the rocks, dive into the water, and play around was such a fun experience. Some were even curious enough to swim close to the boat. Totally recommended!

We have been to San Remo a number of times and to do this cruise was a pleasurable experience. Well and truly recommend this one. Fabulous boat trip to Skull Rock and Refuge Cove My husband, adult daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous full day exploring the south west coast of Wilson’s Promontory yesterday with Wildlife Coast Cruises, departing and arriving back at Port Welshpool.
The Brianna Lee was comfortable and clean and the captain and crew were very friendly, professional and accommodating.
The captains commentary throughout was interesting and informative, and we loved our encounters with pods of dolphins on both the outward and inward journeys, as well as our close up views of the amazing Skull Rock and the seal colonies on the nearby islands.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two hours at beautiful Refuge Cove where we were able to snorkel and swim in the clear aqua water as well as explore the beach and creek.
A truly memorable day!

My husband and I went on our first cruise out to Seal Rock after years of watching and being on the shore of Phillip Island. I highly recommend. It was a great experience, the staff are great. The seals are amazing! I got great videos on my phone but my husband used his camera to capture the best close ups while I enjoyed watching.

What a great day out on the water! We did the whale watching cruise from Port Welshpool! We decided to jump on board because the weather wasn’t going to be a great day for us to go out on our own boat and do some fishing (windy and wet), but still wanted to get out on water! So we thought why don’t we jump on board and see if we could have a lovely day looking at the sites of Wilsons prom instead with the hope to see some whales too on this big vessel! We certainly were not disappointed! The team on board absolutely wonderful, Very knowledgeable and welcoming! Food on board was great! We learnt so much about the area, the wildlife and Marine life and even information about the vessel we were on and how that ran!
We got to see Whales, Seals, Birds and some beautiful sites! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone! Was worth every cent!
You can definitely make it the experience you want too, whether you choose to sit indoors or out, listen or read the information they have on board, speak with the crew to find out more info and whether you keep a look out for whales or sit back and smell the sea air!

The experience was absolutely amazing. The onboard staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, introducing stories of seals and their lives. On our way back, we were lucky enough to encounter dolphins, and the captain took the time to stop by, so we could all enjoy watching the playful dolphins. This trip was the reason we extended our stay in Cowes, and it was truly worth it. We had an incredible time!

Saw whales 😋😋😋 Whale watching around Wilson’s Prom. Such a wonderful day! We had been advised that it would be choppy, and it was, but the sun was shining, we were warm and cosy inside with great views. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we saw whales. So wonderful! The food was great, even for our special diets. This is a company I would thoroughly recommend.

Had an amazing time on the seal cruise. Went on a Saturday, crew were very friendly and insightful. Recommend if your enjoy learning about the wildlife. We had the motion sickness bands and they seemed to work, but also took motion sickness medicine.

Also, the cake they serve from a local cafe is delicious! There's toilets, coffee/tea, and snacks on board. Can bring your own food/drink as it's a 2 hour cruise.

Whale sightings & lovely trip Very enjoyable day.Eco friendly & staff went the extra mile to show us a whale safely and with really good commentary.
Highlight for me was seal rocks and the close up of the Tern colony, it was just beautiful on the crisp sunny winter day.

My first, but not the last, whale-watching experience The weather was sunny but cold. Everyone came prepared for the cold, which was exhilarating on the front of the boat. The staff were very knowledgable and gave a talk as we cruised leisurely along the north coast of Phillip Island. Before too long, we were served delicious pastries. Eventually we passed the markers that told us we were now in open waters, and for all of us to keep our eyes peeled for whale sightings. We were taken up close to the Seal Rock, and immediately a group of seals put on a show for us as they dived into the water beside the boat. It took a while for the first whale sighting, after which we spent an hour (the legal time limit to spend observing whales) from the distance of 100 metres (the legal distance) watching and waiting for them to do something other than blowing. After we moved away from that group, another boat was able to stay longer, and we saw that the group had become more active, and we could see from a few hundred metres away, that now the whales were pec-slapping. So although we did not get close to the whales (this is only allowed if the whales approach the boat, not the boat approach the whales), we still enjoyed the experience of seeing what we did see. We spent the rest of our cruise, still looking for whales, but also circumnavigating Phillip Island, which was also very interesting. We arrived back at the jetty 4 1/2 hours after we had left.

Good cruise for whale watching The cruise is easy to book, the instructions very detailed. It departed on time. Boat is nice. Crew is professional. We had a good time finding the whales and saw some whales that day. Good trip and very professional. Highly recommended for whale watching. Please note that this is a big ship and i think there are about 30 - 40 people on it. However we have good space and they have life vests on the boat too for emergency.

Regardless of which cruise you book from here, luxury or not: you are guaranteed stunning views, and an unforgettable experience; such is the beauty of this place.

My appreciation for my home state has improved so much, and the cruises facilitate such lovely views that it more than deserves a star spot in the itinerary of any tourist.

Worst trip ever!!! Worst experience ever! I vomited 6 times! I am half dead! If they know the weather is that bad they should conceal the trip and refund the money! Or reschedule a better time! The boat almost sink! We are like a ball flipping around! It’s like roller coaster that last for 3 hours!!!

Told the crew to head back over 20 times but nobody’s listening. If you want to torture someone just recommend this trip! You can only see whale very very very far when it spill water. That’s it! Not recommended! Hell trip! I think I got PTSD! If you want to make yourself suffer, go for it!

We had a great experience today. The staff is super friendly and they are very happy to help you spot dolphins and whales. They shared knowledge also.
They take safety seriously and there are a lot of people there making sure everyone are having a good and safe time.
We were very lucky to spot many dolphins, whales and even seals!
I wish I could upload a video as we could hear the whales noises too!
I highly recommend the experience!
