The best winery tour. Great experience. The best tour guide with complete knowledge about both the wineries in Yarra Valley, Wine making in general, and also of Melbourne and Yarra history. The wineries visited are the best I have tried, and most likely the best producers in Yarra.

Highlight of our visit to Australia We had the most awesome time with Rob on our Wildlife/Wine tour! It truly was exceptional. Rob was the best tour guide ever! He knows so many intersting facts about so many intersting things - despite what his son says! He really is a terrric tour guide!

Our visit at Healesville Sanctuary was soooo interesting. It is a wonderful place. The animals and plants are so well taken care of. Rob told us interesting facts about the Galah, scat of the Wombat, coffee growing and the tree Kangaroo, and the incredible Kangaroo Apple plant. The bird demonstration was truly amazing.

Both wineries that we visited we super! Yering Station provided a very informative wine tasting and the lunch there was so good! De Bortolie was also nice with their wine and cheese tasting!

The pickup and dropoff was so easy. The ride in the small van was comfortable. The entire day, which was from 9 to 6:30 was great. It was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Great day in the Vineyards of the Macedon Ranges This is the third wine tour we have done with Vinetrekker and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Paul went ahead with our tour even though we were the only two booked. He picked us up at 9:00am and we had a most delightful day visiting family owned vineyards, enjoying a delicious lunch at Hanging Rock Cafe and covering many topics of conversation. He knew all the wine makers and we were able to sample some delightful wines and ask many questions. I would highly recommend this tour as it is quite a different experience to the tours to the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula.

I’ve done several tours with Vinetrekker Wine Tours now and each one of them is just amazing. Paul and his team is very knowledgeable and professional. They take you to all the good vineyards in the Melbourne area and you can tell they are so passionate about the topic. Wine, cheese and kangaroos! This was probably one of the memories to treasure. Right from the start, Shane, our guide was on to making it his duty to show us a good time. The tour never got boring, with beautiful landscapes, geeky town history (Shane knows his stuff ), amazing wine and cheese, hearty lunch and lazy kangaroos. Highly recommended!

We had the best time on this tour! There were only 8 of us and we were picked up from our hotel. It was so easy and seamless. The whole experience organised by Paul was expert and he made sure that we had the opportunity to learn about wine and have a good time. We’re no wine experts but loved the whole day. The food at Yerring was delicious and we got to taste the wine before had and choose the best accompaniment to our meals. We booked a full day tour on Mornington Peninsula with Paul. Right from the start of making the booking, the process was easy & Paul was helpful throughout.

The tour itself was excellent. Six of us on the tour which was great to be in a small group. Visited 2 wineries in the morning, followed by an excellent lunch at Merricks General Store, then 2 wineries in the afternoon before heading back to the city.

The wineries Paul took us to were a great mixture & he was so knowledgeable about the wines & owners he knows. It was such a friendly & informative tour.

Fun, informative, small group tour! We had the most amazing time on this tour! Great way to experience Yarra Valley Excellent day out - Paul our driver handled the schedule really well so we never felt rushed, and managed to enjoy each of the stops on our tour. He even had a bunch of umbrellas to ward off the rain!

Truly Exceptional This definitely was not your typical wine tour. Our leader, Paul, was incredibly experienced with an exceptional knowledge of wine and the vineyards of the Mornington Peninsula. If wanting to learn more about the wine and region, this tour has to be your choice.

Cam was a great tour guide! Felt like a day with a mate :) I saw this tour had great reviews, however didn’t have any availability. I emailed directly and Paul replied and ensured we could book onto the tour.

We had Cam as our guide, who was super friendly and knowledgeable! The new Merc vehicle was also a nice touch!

While visiting Melbourne, we decided to do Vinetrekker Wine's Yarra Valley Wine Daytour and we had a great time! I'm not a big wine connoisseur but I do enjoy drinking wine and all the visits struck a great balance between education and enjoyment. I especially appreciated the fact that Paul chose smaller wineries where I felt we were treated with great attention. I also appreciated the extra accoutrements during some of the tastings!

Adrian was a great tour guide, not only giving us more details on the wineries, the countryside, and some history, but also being very engaging and friendly, making everyone feel welcomed.

We visited 4 wineries: De Bortoli, Yering Station Winery (where we also had lunch), Coldstream Hills Winery (the winery of Australia's best known wine critic - James Halliday), and Medhurst Winery. Lunch was included and also delicious. Communication by Paul before the tour was excellent and I had no issues finding Adrian's van or where to meet him.

Paul made sure that everyone was comfortable having a good time and got to taste a variety of wines as well as wines of your preference.
It is a small group tour meaning you get to know the other people on the trip. Really good value and definitely worth it.

Great Day Out This tour was selected as i wanted to experience lunch at Yering Station. The tour was all i wanted it to be to share with my daughter. For someone who has mobility issues Cam was patient and helpful.
We tasted some marvellous wines and the cheese matching ay De Bortoli was exceptional. Only 3 of us on the tour so felt like a very personal day's outing.

A Must-Do Tour in Melbourne - Perfect Blend of Nature and Wine This was without doubt the best tour I’ve experienced on all my travels, and likely will remain a favourite for a long time.

From the start, communication was seamless — I had to reschedule both the tour date and the Koala encounter, and everything was handled promptly and with such ease. On the day, the group was small and well-balanced, which made the experience more personal and relaxed.

Our host Paul was wonderful — warm, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout. His way of sharing stories and insights made the sanctuary and vineyards come alive, and he created an atmosphere that felt more like traveling with a group of friends than being on a tour. Sanctuary & Wine tour A must do tour. The sanctuary was great, loved seeing all the native animals. We paid extra for the kangaroo experience and it was amazing. We actually got to feed them.
Paul our guide was great and very knowledgeable he stayed with us pointing out things. The lunch was delicious and we enjoyed all the wineries.
Was a scenic ride as well and would do tour again if back in Australia.

Amazing time in Yarra Valley We had an amazing day on this wine tour and were exhausted by the end of it. We were picked up promptly at 8:40 and began our 5 vineyard wine tour with Cam who was very helpful and friendly. The wines in the Yarra valley are more focused on Chardonnay and Pinot noir due to the cooler climate but the vineyards still offer great varieties of other grapes. We really liked the sparkling wine from Coldstream which tasted the same as any French champagne. Medhurst had some great red blends, and Payton & Jones was great with a more urban vibe. Lunch was was delicious in a beautiful dining ron with floor to ceiling windows overlook the vineyards. And you can spot kangaroos playing in the vineyard all over the valley. It was a great day trip and we were very happy to experience Yarra valley with this tour.

This was the best wine tasting tour I’ve ever joined! Paul took us to five different wineries, and we had plenty of time at each stop to taste and learn without feeling rushed. At every winery, I was able to discover wines that I truly enjoyed, which was such a surprise. For lunch, we dined at Yering Winery , the views were stunning, the dishes were delicious, the wine was amazing and it ended with a lovely coffee!
Paul is extremely professional. He explained how to properly taste wine and how to pair it perfectly with food. He was humorous, warm, and attentive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. On the way back, we were lucky enough to spot wild kangaroos and deer!

The itinerary was well balanced—visiting a selection of wineries, enjoying a delicious lunch with beautiful views, and spending time at the Healesville Sanctuary where we saw koalas, baby Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, and even a joey.

A fabulous wine tour - I would definitely recommend this tour.

Where to start from our personal pick up in Melbourne, Paul was fantastic. Being in a minibus for a day travelling with others between vineyards could be your worst nightmare, but he makes everyone feel special remembering all the names and keeping us entertained with relevant facts all day.
His knowledge of wine, the locality the vineyard owners and history made it a special fun day.
No forcing you to buy, it was taste enjoy you decide. He even took us to a winery normally shut who opened just for him, a real event just our small group in a world famous boutique winery being served by the site manager and his 3 dogs.. it doesn’t get more personal.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this to wine lovers, wine novices, those wanting a day out of Melbourne. If we come back we would certainly go again, by the way you will get the best lunch of your trip with Paul and top views.

What a great tour - if you do only one tour out here do this one. A great tour tasting many wines of the great wines from the region. Cam, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and has a great relationship with each venue which ensured all of us had a good day. A relaxed pace in a small group. Great to see some of the Valley, the local wildlife and some of the expansive properties. Great lunch too! Naturally some great wines bought which I look forward to sharing with family when back in the UK.

Wonderful experience! A must to get out of Melbourne proper and see the beautiful Yarra Valley. We spent the morning at the Healesville Sanctuary. Be sure to check out the bird show at noon. We then went to two separate wineries with tastings and lunch. Try the kangaroo, you won’t be disappointed. Our tour guide, Paul, was one of the best parts of the entire trip. We had a wonderful day with Paul with Vinetrekker. We had a very upscale experience with private seating and fine wines. The vineyards were beautiful. I especially loved Paul taking us by fields with wild kangaroos. Paul’s Mercedes van was very comfortable, and Paul was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about wines and the area. A perfect blend of the Yarra Valley's offerings. The tour was absolutely perfect. It checked all the boxes I wanted: kangaroos, koalas, and wine. Plus more! Amazing trip with Rob This trip is definitely an amazing experience. So lucky for us to have Rob as our tour guide, he is lovely and kind. I also buy a book of the surfing dog of Rob. The wine and the food in Yalla River is fantastic. And the bird show in the zoo is also awesome.

Best wine tour in the Yarra! We went on a wine tour with this company after a very early start to the morning doing a hot air balloon ride over the Yarra Valley. We thought we were going to be tired but we enjoyed the day thanks to our fantastic guide Rob! My Fiancee and I booked Paul’s tour a couple of weeks ago. This experience was amazing and I would recommend to anyone. Paul was very responsive and such a pleasant guide. He picked us up a couple blocks from our apartment and taught us so much about the surrounding area of Melbourne. The sanctuary was so cool, and we were up close to animals only native to the area. Following up we had an amazing lunch at the first vineyard. We two wine tastings at some of the best vineyards in Yarra Valley. The second included cheese and crackers. Paul was with us at every step and made sure our experience was the best. I would recommend this tour to anyone, and it’s worth every penny. Thank you for the best experience!
