Fantastic experience with a tick of my bucket list. Simpson Desert in July. An amazing experience. Exceptionally well organised and supportive. As a wheelchair user, they were very accommodating and helpful to my needs. The trip was catered with meals above my expectations. Every day was an enjoyable experience exploring the history and beauty of the Simpson Desert—a must-do for anyone who wants to experience a unique part of Australia.

Recently travelled from Cairns up to the Tip with Off road Tradies. What an amazing trip. For 19 days we travelled to some amazing remote spots to camp. They provide all the food so you don't have to worry about cooking.some of the meals were outstanding. Very attentive to your needs and thry try to accommodate people's wishes. Can't recommend them highly enough

With flooding in Queensland meaning our late March Outback Pub Tour had to be rerouted we found ourselves on a 9 day magical mystery tour led by Luke and Phil. It was a champion effort for a trip that includes both accommodation and camping options. Swapping out Queensland for northern Vic and SA locations to eventually connect with the planned western NSW ones, not only was their attention to the constantly changing logistical details spot on but the weather cooperated - beautiful one day, perfect the next. (Sorry about the floods, but we don't need you Queensland....). This isn't a 4WD trip, but they found plenty of dirt/gravel roads in various states of disrepair that got us passing through rarely seen parts of the outback, stopping every now and then for a point of historical interest. The group of 10 clients (in 6 vehicles) was a great mix of country and city folks, and Luke and Phil paid equal attention to all of us. Plenty of good food at all times (dinner at pubs) and Luke's knowledge of people, places and services in Australia's outback was extraordinary. Finding a mechanic willing to come out on a Sunday arvo in a small NSW mining town? - "no problem." And that's what you want on a tag-along - someone who can solve unforeseen problems. If they can blend cheerfulness with empathy while they do it, as Luke and Phil did, then that's a real bonus. We fully recommend The Offroad Tradies - their range of tour types, lengths and routes has something for anyone wanting to tag-along. When we find a trip that fits our calendar, we'll be back.

We loved our 2 day Victorian High Country tag-along tour. It was a fantastic introduction to the VHC and provided us the confidence to explore the capability of our 4WD whilst towng our Ultimate Camper. Having Luke in the lead vehicle and on the UHF enabled us to relax more and enjoy the scenery. Luke's cooking was bang on! Having all our meals catered meant we could sit back and enjoy chatting with others in our small group and take a plunge in the river. Money well spent.... I highly recommend this tour and The Offroad Tradies.

We recently joined The Offroad Tradies VHC 2 night tag a long tour and Luke 1 and Luke 2 were our guides/support. A fabulous introduction to 4wdriving in this beautiful part of Victoria.

Recently my partner and I had the pleasure of joining the Off Road Tradies on their Simpson Desert 4x4 Tag-a-long tour, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Luke and Curl were fantastic guides, sharing their extensive knowledge of the area’s history, flora, and fauna, which made the journey even more fascinating. The scenery along the French Line was absolutely breathtaking, especially with the wildflowers in bloom—truly a sight to behold. We spent four nights camping in the desert, and the camp oven meals each evening were sensational, adding a real touch of comfort to our adventure. I can’t recommend the Simpson Desert tour highly enough—whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a first-timer, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!

We just returned from the desert to dunes trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Luke and Curl did a great job planning and leading the tour. We saw some great places and improved our 4wd skills. Their recovery skills kept everyone safe and culinary skills kept us all well fed. Can’t wait to do another trip.

Awesome way to see Australia This is a great way to see Australia. In your own car but helped and guided by the off-road tradie boys. They plan and book everything. Places to see and visit that you would no be aware of unless you knew the area well. The catering is awesome and takes pressure of you to cook your own meals. Just sit back, relax and follow your experienced guides.

A fascinating trip! I have just completed my 3rd trip with the Offroad Tradies, this time the Border Track. Thanks for another awesome trip Luke n Phil. Such interesting chats around the campfire with your other guests whilst yummy food was being cooked for us. A special mention to the campfire-grilled scotch fillet steaks ..and golden syrup dumplings, oh and the homemade pies for lunch ..oh, and the home made salami for nibbles. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the next trip!

Excellent offroad trip These guys really are amazing. They go the full distance and then some just so that you have a great time. On this trip i got stuck three times and on each occasion, they effortlessly got me going again, hardly had to lift a finger.
The food is great and you never go hungry.
To Just sit around a campfire and chat and laugh at the end of the day while the guys get dinner ready is a strange feeling, but makes a huge difference.
This trip was my second with the off-road tradies, and will probably do more with them.
Dont hesitate to book with them, they are the best tour guides out there.

A wonderful Simpson crossing trip. Great hosting by Curl and Luke with so much info provided and the desert camp site choices were perfect. Couldn't believe how good the catering was in such remote areas. Highly recommended.

Up the cape cape Went with the tradies after talking to family member who was going with them , we were going solo until then .
First 2 tracks were closed so they had change route so not there fault after that was great went to places we would not have gone on our own . We had a pretty heavy camper so needed some help couple of times Luke and Curl were great guides always prepared to help and hog the extra mile to help out . Food was great with different meals each night , never rushed always time to stop and take pictures.
Would highly recommend them if you get off the beaten track.

Cape York - Fantastic Experience We've previously tagged-along with The Offroad Tradies in the Simpson Desert and enjoyed that immensely. So, we were delighted to experience their Cape York tour on this occasion.

Once again, their catering was brilliantly executed and their patience and ability to solve any challenge that they were presented with was impressive.

Despite the recent excessively wet season, we still got to experience the best of Starcke Wakooka Track, Frenchman's Track, Old Tele Track and the stunning attractions that Cape York has to offer.

Their ability to include our grandchildren in the entire experience in ways that made it really special for them, was a treat that we really came to appreciate.

I highly recommend The Offroad Tradies to anybody contemplating one of their tour routes. They will deliver a great experience!

Mark and I have just returned from the Simpson Desert Trip with The Offroad Tradies. This was my first trip with them, and Mark’s second. In addition to fantastic support from Curl n Luke, we met a fantastic new member of the Offroad Tradies team, Erica. Erica’s broad knowledge of Aussie history, flora, fauna, and 4WDing is remarkable. What an amazingly spectacular trip! We enjoyed a flight over Lake Eyre, the ever-changing vivid colours of the desert sands, brilliant white salt pans, wildflowers and lush green foliage making the most of the huge rain band that swept over central Aus earlier this year. And of course, the sunrises and sunsets from the top of sands dunes (including Big Red), as well as crystal clear stary nights. Add to these, great conversations with the other group members around the campfires and entertaining chats with the publicans running the many iconic, history-filled Aussie pubs we visited. Thanks for taking such good care of us, our appetites, and our 4WDs……. you’ve got us hooked! Cheers, Sue

Just finished the Victorian High Country tour and cannot recommend it enough.

Luke and Curley made the tour feel more like a group of mates travelling than a tour.

Great bunch of blokes with lots of knowledge and provided an exceptional 6 days even with inclement weather conditions.

From mechanical issues to recovery the boys were always there with a plan to keep things moving. Even land cruisers need a little help sometimes (that snatch will go down in the history books right Luke?)

All in all a great tour, excellent countryside and a very friendly atmosphere with new friendships made along the way.

I look forward to seeing you on the next tour.

Picture perfect High Country Just completed a tour through the Victorian High Country with The off road tradies. Luke, Curl and Deano went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience of this beautiful country. If we were not able to take a track because of the weather, Luke and Curls knowledge enabled us to see something just as spectacular. The food was amazing with all needs catered for and we never went hungry. If a breakdown occurred, it was fixed quickly so that no time was lost. Would definitely recommend a tour of the beautiful Australian countryside with The Off Road Tradies.

With us having a basic knowledge of off roading, the crew at The Offroad Tradies helped us grow in confidence as they took us from a gentle hut tour on the first day, small climbs on the 2nd day to some of the best known spectacular 4x4 tracks in Victoria over the next 3 days, if not Australia. Fantastic food prepared fresh every day. Campfires at night and lots of laughs as they made our entire group feel at ease and welcome. Very highly recommend going on any of The Offroad Tradies expeditions. Keep up the great work.

The most amazing time with an amazing crew! I literally can't praise this trip highly enough. We just did 6 days in the Victorian high country with Luke and Curl and can truthfully say it was way beyond any expectations that I had. The days were well thought out and built on the day before, increasing our 4x4 skills to an extremely competent level. Having the guys work tirelessly behind the scenes cooking the most amazing food and morning tea was next level and we felt very spoilt. (and we were never hungry!) The friends we made, the laughs we shared and the things we saw will stay with me forever and we are planning to do another trip with the guys next year. If, like us, you have no 4x4 Friends and you want to gain confidence whilst being safe in a group, then look no further than The Off Road Tradies. Just awesome!

The High Country tour I just did with these guys was outstanding. They obviously well planned it as the pacing and building of difficulty with the tracks each day was perfect. This was my first catered tour and although I'm normally the bush cook in our trips it was surprisingly nice and relaxing to casually set up camp each night and wander over with the "whats for tea" question and not worry about anything. The high Country was amazing on its own and should be on everyones bucket list. Doing it with the Off Road Tradies just made it super easy. Thanks Luke and Curl! Oh and thanks everyone else on the trip what a great bunch of people!!

Off-road tradies are Off-road gems Genuine guys with a genuine passion for people, 4x4 and the bush.

I did the outback NSW adventure with the guys and a small group and to be honest all the positive reviews are justified. I won’t go into too much detail however I now have a greater appreciation for the country since my trip.
The brilliance of the outback ruggedness, characters, places and the general ambience for a city slicker was a real eye opener.

The guys have a great appreciation for what they do and how they conduct themselves .

If you want to see the real outback and you have a 4x4 and a sense of adventure the investment with the team is well worth it.

On occasion, this was due to changing circumstances or road conditions/closures etc, which of course is perfectly understandable. However, the tradies also made changes to both routes & destinations from time to time, as they saw fit. In our experience, these changes to the itinerary were always motivated by Luke & Curl's desire to deliver the best possible experience for their guests.

We felt safe at all times. All experiences were managed with sensitivity to risk and ensuring that a good time was had by all guests.

Luke & Curl are both likeable blokes, easy to be around and easy to get along with. They frequently sought the opinions of guests and always endeavoured to deliver on any special requests, whether that be food or itinerary related.

Memorable highlights in the catering department included the serving of hot pies while we visited a lookout on day 1. Then later in the tour, the serving of a spectacular camp oven prepared roast pork meal. At one point, we were surprised to be served impressive hors d'oeuvres prior to dinner. A delicious sunset BBQ on the iconic Big Red was another catering highlight.

All in all, the OffRoad Tradies delivered a very special and memorable Simpson Desert experience for us, one that we will treasure for years to come.

Our family of four (2 kids - 4yo & 6yo) took part in the Vic/SA Border Track Adventure Tour on the June long weekend.
The kids loved every moment of the tour. It is great not having to worry about cooking. Basically set up camp and relax. We got to meet other like minded people on the tour that we now class as friends! This track is a fun experience and one that everyone should tick off their 4x4 bucket list. We are not experienced 4X4 drivers and found that Luke & Curl were very encouraging and walked us through anything we were unsure about.
We highly recommend booking a tour with The Offroad Tradies!!
In fact we are looking to book the Desert to Dunes Tour next.
