Fantastic way to explore the Wineries at Coonawara/Penola We just had our second wine tour with Coonawarra Experiences and it was just as fantastic as our first. Kerry and Simon were fantastic to liaise with. They knew which wineries we had visited on our first visit so they arranged different ones this time which was great. We had the upgrade option to eat our meal at Ottelia which was sublime. The food at the restaurant is to die for. The whole day was well paced and interesting and the distances between the vineyards was barely noticeable. Kerry was very accommodating and knowledgeable and very patient with a busload of tipsy ladies. We would definately do this tour again with Coonawarra Experiences its the perfect way to see a great selection of wineries, try out the wines, not have to worry about driving and learn about the region as well.

Five star wine tour Over the past twenty years, I have been on many guided wine tours. This particular tour was the best one I have ever been on. Kerry was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who went out of her way to ensure that the hopes and wishes of all four participants in the tour were catered for. Her rapport with the hosts at the five wineries we visited ensured that the hosts at each of the wineries were able to modify their choice of wines for presentation to cater to the the wishes of every person on the tour. We thus were given access to some of the wineries top quality wines. I also was most impressed by the passion that each of the hosts had for the wines they were presenting.

See Coonawarra like a local! Simon and Kerry also rented us their Air BnB apartment which is attached to their residence. Wonderful hosts, provided us with some healthy food so we could prepare a simple breakfast each morning instead of going out. The itinerary sequence was changed around due to weather, but we were able to have a great and informative tour of the area. Simon and Kerry know everybody in the area, and we received excellent treatment and that family vibe you hardly ever experience when traveling. There are many progressive agriculture and artistic people in this area which they are guiding and promoting. Everywhere we went, we encountered very friendly and considerate people, nice climate, good food, interesting history. Coonawarra is a well kept secret, and it's not just about the wine!

A big thank you to Simon and Kerry for an absolutely fantastic weekend with Coonawarra Experiences. The accommodation was beautifully comfortable and warm, the perfect base for our stay. Simon’s chauffeur service made the entire weekend wonderfully stress-free (and allowed us to fully enjoy the region’s incredible wines!).
The meal at Mayura Station was exceptional, and Simon’s winery tour was great. Everything was well organised, informative, and filled with great chats. Raidis Estate was a definite standout. We also loved touring Yallum Park, an extraordinary step back in time and a real highlight of the weekend.
We can’t say enough good things about Coonawarra Experiences. Every detail was fantastic, making for a really memorable Coonawarra getaway. Highly recommended.

Best day out Fantastic time with Simon. Highly knowledgeable and knew all of the operators well. The choice of wineries was great with a couple being small family concerns. Couldn't have asked for a better day or experience. Highly recommend.

We just had the best experience on our wine tour with Simon. We were lucky enough to be his only clients today on a half day wine tour. Thought it was a bit expensive but turns out it was worth every cent. Simon's knowledge and care in ensuring we had a great experience was fabulous. We did a fantastic Coonawarra wine tour with Simon and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Simon had incredible knowledge (and banter) with the added touch of him and all the winemakers we met making us all feel part of their community. Coonawarra wineries at their best We begun our day when Kerry picked us up from our accomodation in Penola. We boarded their very comfortable bus and headed to our first winery Parker’s. We enjoyed a pleasant tasting before we headed to Patrick for our next tasting and lunch. The hospitality was fantastic and the platters were amazing highlighting a selection of regional produce. We left there very happy. Next stop was Bowens where we tasted the highly rated Shiraz and cab sav. Next stop the Coonawarra railway siding for a picture and then off to De Giorgio wines. We enjoyed the extensive tasting and picturesque outdoor tasting area. Final stop was Raidis Estate. Despite running a bit late ( due to how much fun we had) we were welcomed and tasted some lovely wines. Our day came to an end and we headed back to Penola.
Our party of 6 had an awesome day. We were expertly looked after by Kerry who shared a great deal of her local knowledge and some fun facts.
The wineries chosen for us gave us a great appreciation of the wine varieties being grown in the region. Yes there is more than red.
I highly recommend a day with Kerry and the wineries you will visit with her. Just remember you don’t have to like every wine you taste To enjoy a great day

Experience the Coonawarra with no one else! I have to say, from the moment we arrived in the Coonawarra, Simon & Kerry made us feel so welcome that we relaxed straight away in their well appointed Penola apartment. Our day tour started with being picked up in the ultra comfortable Toyota Landcruiser 300 and Simon was the consummate host taking us to the best spots of Coonawarra including a private tasting tour of the iconic Wynn's vineyard, an unbelievably delicious gourmet lunch with wine at Otellia, meeting Peaches the cow and seeing the exclusive luxury accommodation on the private regenerative Warrawindi farm, meeting Heidi and learning about her delicious Olive Oil production it was a superb day meeting locals and experiencing the true Coonawarra. Thank you Simon & Kerry for your warmth, hospitality and care - we'll be back!

Not Wine Drinkers And Loved The Tour. The excellent service from Kerry & Simon. Their knowledge of the area and wines is amazing. Every winery we visited, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and we had lots of laughs.
We are not wine drinkers but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lunch was very good. The mixture of cheeses, meats and condiments was perfect. Plus we got to enjoy wine.

YOU cannot go wrong with staying here and booking a wine tour.

The perfect afternoon What a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon. Kerry picked us up right on time and off we went in the comfort of her lovely spacious people carrier. She was fun to be around, full of knowledge and very easy to get along with. She was the Goldilocks of tour guides - not to little and not too much so just right!!! She was there to answer questions but also gave us plenty of space too. We would never have been able to see/do the region like we did without her. I definitely want to go back again and that was because of this great experience.

We loved our stay with Simon and Kerry and the wine tour we did was fun, informative and well worth doing. All the communication I had with Simon before we arrived was prompt and professional with all my questions answered. We were met on arrival with a bottle of wine and lovely cuvée chocolate and it is those little extras that made the whole experience so good. Very comfortable bed with quality bedding. A very well appointed bathroom, again high quality towels and toiletries. In the lounge/kitchenette was a microwave, decent size fridge and a good selection of crockery, cutlery etc. very happy to see a variety of good wine glasses and an Espresso machine! Really good value, accomodation exceeded expectations

Normally we take ourselves around cellar doors but so glad we decided to take the tour with Coonawara Experiences. We had such a good time. It was very personal and lots of fun. The lunch platter was lovely and meeting the people running the tastings was what really made it. Kerry and Simon are very obviously passionate about the Coonawara and the local produce. Book a tour with them, you won’t regret it.

Exceptional experience We had excellent hosts in Simon and Kerry for our accommodation. Simon made all our weekend bookings and arrangements flawlessly. Lovely Accommodation within 2mins walking of town. Kerry and Steve are perfect hosts they also run an amazing tours of the wineries.

Kerry was so amazing and took very good care of us. We had wonderful experiences at each cellar door and Kerry shared a lot of her rich knowledge with us so we were able to better understand the region and its history. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the region and we will have to make sure to come back and use Kerry and Simon again!

Simon was excellent & the tour of wineries in Coonawarra was perfect. The day was a memorable experience & we were taken to some unique & boutique places. We had the VIP treatment & Simon helped us move several cases of wine back to our accomodation. Simon offered us flexibility of where to go but we were happy to follow his advice of the tour. Lunch was included & the food was simply the highest standard which was a pleasant surprise considering we were on a wine tour. Outstanding Private Wine Tour Outstanding service and attention to detail from Simon. We had a private wine tour with our friends & the knowledge and care he had was amazing. He looked after us every step of the day and made sure we had the best experience we possibly could! Highly recommend Highly recommend Simon and Kerry for your Coonawarra and /or Limestone coast trip . They offer several standard torus but are also very happy to customize your experience just ask! We love wine and they helped us curate 2 amazing days of tastings with long lunches and then home again to Penola peppered with some local sights. Simon was extremely knowledgeable about the area and by the end of our two days we had a really great insight into the history and contemporary issues. This region is so much more tha wine and we can’t wait to return tp experience more the area has to offer with Simon and Kerry.

Cellar door tour An excellent tour taking in 4 top notch wineries in Coonawarra. Kerry the tour guide picked us up promptly from our motel. She was friendly and knowledgeable and clearly knew her stuff. We visited 4 very different cellar doors, the first providing a delicious food platter with the tasting. The day was unrushed and we had plenty of time at each venue to taste, ask questions and purchase. A great day and a great tour all round. Highly recommend.
