Fun and informative tour!! We thoroughly enjoyed the Dark Stories tour. Emily was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and had us fully engaged for the entire 90 minutes. Us being two adults and two teenagers.

Razor gang tour review Caitlin our tour guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and informative. The tour itself was great and we loved hearing about all the people.

Good value, not too much exercise The tour was great! Ryan our guide was delightful. I will definitely look differently at the city after hearing so much of its dark history!

The walk itself was pretty easy, the locations were not that far apart, so it would be about 2-5 minutes of walking at a time. 2 people in our group did it in thongs so don’t let the walking stop you.

Interesting and well revised tour. I really enjoyed the tour. My tour guide was Emily and she was really animated, energetic and friendly, perfect traits for this kind of job! I could tell she is passionate about what she does. The tour takes you round some interesting true crime spots but, even if true crime isn’t your thing, it’s a good tour for exploring The Rocks and the area around the bridge. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

Fascinating insight into Rocks history. Well worth doing with the family or if visiting Sydney in order to enjoy some local history. Really enjoyed the stories of the families and locations of years gone by. The Rocks was very different to the shiny facade we see today. Also fascinating to see the actual premises where these incidents took place.

Caitlin was funny and engaging. Time flew by! Highly recommend.

Stories that really gave me chills! I really enjoyed this tour. Emily had a great way of telling the stories throughout which really added suspense and intrigue. She even added some extra fun facts along the way. It was a nice night and great to see the city at night from different points.

If these Historical Buildings could talk Creative way to take in the Sydney views. Stories are grim it is about criminals and murder but it adds to the history of historical land marks. It is a bit of walking so it’s best to wear comfy clothes and shoes.

Razor Accurate Tour Last night we went and completed the Razor tour with Ryan (not David ????) and we had a blast. We really enjoyed hearing about the time period and as such, since we have arrived home have started to rewatch “Underbelly Razor”. Ryan’s information was spot on! Thanks again we had a great time.

Great to see on Harbour and learn of the History. The Sydney Harbours True Crime Cruise. It was great to learn on the history of crime in around the Harbour. The crew of the boat and the Historian to say of the Crimes and see book of photos of the events.

Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! We took a Sydney Dark Stories True Crime Tour around the Rocks on Sunday 28th of January. We were enjoyably entertained by our Tour Guide Katelyn and her knowledge of historical, criminal events around the Rocks area. The tour took us to unknown lanes and areas that as Sydney siders, certainly surprised us. It was an easy walk and the views around the area were just amazing. This is a great tour for anyone who is interested in the history of the area.

Great time on the True Crimes harbour cruise We had a fun time on the True Crimes cruise. Caitlin made the cruise fun and she knew heaps of facts about Sydney Harbour's crime history. The weather was amazing and it showed off our city and harbour at its best. As a surprise we also received morning tea. We had a great time and would recommend it.

I took my kids (12 and 13) to do this tour it was amazing we loved our tour guide Julia she was so informative and engaging. We want to do it again it was so much fun.

We were taken on the True Crimes Tour of Newcastle by Nat. It was a great way to experience some of Newcastle's history. The tour was well paced and the commentary was interesting and well delivered. A very worthwhile experience.

We did the True Crime Tour lead by Jade. Even though it was an extremely hot evening, Jade made it fun. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Being locals, we were taken to places we had never seen and told some gruesome true stories. Highly recommend

Simply the best crime your ever - MUST DO! Our host Bryan started the walking tour in some grotty overflowing public toilets in a seedy alley, which was a surprise for some (especially all the small children and elderly grannies on the tour) but not for me, I thought it was brilliant as the opening stanza. We then went on to site two where we heard the stories of hundreds of untimely deaths thanks to the Sydney Harbour Bridge: star-crossed lovers flinging themselves to oblivion from the top of the arches, landing on a passing cargo boat that was being used to transport sly grog for Sunday pissups, which still continue today, particularly over at the Opera Bar on Circular Quay; disillusioned businessmen who spent their fortunes on hookers and snuff, one of which didn’t clear the razor wire near the outer lane below and was subsequently decapitated, his head later found on a stake some way up river near Paramatta at a Wednesday satan worshipping service; and then there were the 18 slaves who were building the bridge and when it came time to pay them management decided to just shove them into the pylon bases and concrete over them instead. Site three was what really sealed the deal for me though. As we stood in the dark, with the only illumination coming from Bryan’s 15th century led lamp, he began to tell the tale of Knobby Qui. Legend has it that Knobby, a Chinese immigrant and master of the dark arts, had been contracted by the Bling dynasty from his native homeland, to import into Sydney a lab-manufactured deadly plague virus that was to be distributed by rats, roaches and rabbits throughout the free world. After multiplying the virus expotentially, and genetically engineering super sperm for the rats, roaches and rabbits, he released the pandemic onto the Rocks. The population of Sydney at the time was around 75million but within weeks of Knobby’s exploits it had shrunk to less than 5 million and is still regarded as the most devastating virus in history. To round off the almost 7-hour tour, running from 9.16pm until around 4am, Bryan revealed his actual name was Glen from Penrith and none of this was even remotely close to the truth. 10/10

Sydney Dark Crime Tour This experience was really great! It was nice to learn about the history of Sydney's crimes, and Emily (I believe that was the tour guide's name) was awesome! She threw in so many puns in the stories; I was entertained! One of th stories told was on top of a hill with an amazing sunset view! One of the best parts about this tour is that it ends at a spot where you can get ice cream???? lol, not what you were expecting in a review, eh? ???? All in all, it was awesome. Stories entertaining. Guide interactive and knowledgeable. A fantastic way to spend an hour and a half!

Great tour We had an excellent morning tour with Jade. We were visiting Sydney from Adelaide and thought it would be fun to do something touristy. Jade was a great storyteller, very funny and engaging. We enjoyed exploring some out of the way places in the Rocks and hearing some very memorable true crime stories.

Not just for the true crime lovers a good day out for anyone This was an enjoyable Saturday morning with a great backdrop on Sydney harbour to listen to the true crime stories that took place in and around the city.

Great trip around the harbour! Really fun little trip. Great views of the harbour and really interesting stories about historic murders. Our hosts were lovely, boat crew very professional - coffee and cookies were good too. Super nice way to spend the morning in Sydney!

Perfect way to celebrate Halloween Went on the True Crime tour of The Rocks and had Caitlin for our guide. I would have never found some of the spots on my own. I found Caitlin to be very warm, inviting and approachable yet every now and again an apt eerie nature to her. Thank you for making mine and my fiancé's weekend before Halloween a scream!

Emily is the best Emily took us on the most wonderful tour. The true crime stories she spoke about were intermingled with humour and poetry. It was a great tour and I will be recommending it to all who travel to Sydney

We recently went on the Dark Stories tour in Newcastle. While not as gruesome or as scary as I expected it was still interesting to learn about some true crime stories that have happened around Newcastle.

I first booked for the 19th of August experience but a few hours before the beginning of the tour, I received a cancellation via email!
I decided to rebook (for the 26th August tour), because I was really interested... but unfortunately 3of us waited for a guide that never showed up ! (They didn't even know where the hot was...) it is not professional and really disappointing ????

My partner and I went on a true crime tour around the Darling Harbour on the 21st of July. Having never been on one before to say that it was better than I expected was an understatement! The person leading the tour (who I have forgotten the name of) absolutely made the experience as great as it was. Without their enthusiasm, sense of humour and amazing ability to engage the crowd the whole way through I definitely don’t think it would have been half as worth it to us as it was.
Thank you kindy to the group who waited patiently for us to find our way which meant we were running a bit over time aswell but I’m so so glad that we didn’t miss it. Safe to say I’ll never be able to look at Sydney the same way again, some places I pass through frequently and other places I didn’t even know existed but it’s definitely a tour that’s one to remember and the host created such a great atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone who isn’t sure, trust me it’s worth every penny!

Wonderful experience must do Caitlin was an animated , articulated young guide who kept our interest with the knowledge of past misdemeanours at The Rocks.
She kept a look out for our welfare whilst during the tour.
We would recommend this activity be included in their itinerary whilst visiting Sydney.

Very interesting and Great atmosphere Was a very interesting tour linking historic crimes with their real day locations. The tour guide Hannah was very engaging and was happy to elaborate further on any aspects of the stories which I had questions on. One of the best attractions in Sydney especially when coupled with Vivid Sydney in the evening.
Only recommendation I would have is to try and put a physical marker where the tour is set to begin. We were looking for a few minutes trying to find the meeting point.
Overall an incredible experience that I wish I could experience again for the first time.

Tour guide Emily was a great tour guide and explained the crimes in a fascinating manner. Definitely was a highlight of our trip!

Great Show. Very entertaining, was really surprised how great it was. The twist was very clever and did not suspect it at all. You can interact with them as much as possible or can stand back to just observe. Funny and witty with drama and suspense, without being scary. Highly recommend for either a Date night or with a group of friends. Great night out

Worth the money! Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! A gentle stroll around the Rocks area, delving into the history of some of the crime and tragedy stories that helped shape Sydney. It was very interesting to learn about this side of Sydney’s history as it hadn’t been touched upon on the other tours we have done. The tour also included a stop for some lovely scenic views of the harbour Bridge lit up in the dark.

FYI the group meets on the benches opposite the corner where the the meeting point is. I was mildly terrified approaching the meeting point as it was dark and all I could see was a group of people loitering under a tree and I thought it was a gang. The guide will wave to you if you look confused about where to meet haha

Wonderful night tour to end the day! Enjoy the night with wonderful information with tour guide. I can't remember her name but she let us feel welcome & comfortable. Despite some information she forget but still able to make us imagine what really happen in that era. Everyone in the tour is enjoyable & happy about the tour.

A Great Insight into Razor Gang Life We met our RG Guide, Jack who set the scene for our Group of family and friends. We were allowed to walk at a comfortable pace as we had different levels of fitness. Some brought a purse size torch as some areas were quite dark and where we walked there were some uneven surfaces. Even the moon peeping through the clouds failed to cast any shadows. Having said that, listening to Jack relay the Razor Gang Stories along the prominent streets of that era, it gave us a sense of what life would have been like at night when Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh ruled the roost! Thoroughly enjoyed the stories about the Razor Gang era and also discovered a wonderful area to explore during the day.
Beautiful art deco buildings along the way and I'm sure they have a story to tell as well.
Jack our Guide was amazing, had a lot of historical knowledge to share and was very pleasant and accommodating for those of us who were a bit slow along the steeper part of the tour. Big Thanks to him for making the Tour a success.
Make sure you wear comfy shoes as there are a few steep hills and stairs. Having a small torch to guide where you are walking is a must and also a small bottle of water to hydrate along the way.
Highly recommend this Tour, it is well worth it!

Great night exploring Sydney darkest times Hosted by the lovely Emily who made the tour come alive with her theatrical and energetic personality laced with humor and puns throughout. We were intrigued and enjoyed the whole experience of Sydneys dark past. Under darkness we traced the steps of the villains and underworld since 1788, the horrific crimes, fights for survival and the building of a busy port and town in the early 1900s. We loved the way Emily retold the stories of those loved, lost and survived some hideously hard times as early settlers. Thanks Emily for a great night putting us in the scene of some great escapes and tall tales, we will be recommending to our friends.

Great experience! My partner and I flew down from Brisbane for my birthday and wanted something exciting to do after dinner rather than sitting in the hotel bored all night, so we decided to book one of these tours to see what it was all about. From the minute we arrived at the meeting spot Emily and Paige made us feel so welcome to their city and to the tour group. Once everyone had arrived we went on our journey through the city exploring some of the most fascinating moments in Sydney’s history. Despite the rain we persevered & made our way through the streets of the rocks exploring some of the most famous stories and locations. Emily and Paige made the experience well worth it with their friendly personalities and Emily’s infinite amount of puns and dad jokes. I’d like to thank both Emily and Paige and all the organisers behind the scenes who made this night possible despite the rain.

Very informative stories by our guide Emily, make sure you bring your A game when it comes to a good pun Emily also loves a good Dad joke. We were lucky enough to have a very personalised tour with small numbers on our 10.30am time slot.

Murder in The rocks Very interesting tour around the Rocks of Sydney. Hannah was very interesting. However some of the stories were two long especially the first one. . Of added interest to visitors would have been information about some of the buildings eg The Observatory and for Whom the Hero of Waterloo was named etc.
