Absolutely EPIC experience walking through the Australian rainforest at night on the Night Vision Tour! This was such a one of a kind experience and an incredible way to experience the jungle and the nocturnal animals! Wendy was a fanatic and passionate guide and we were in AWE the whole time! Wearing night vision goggles and using thermal imaging - it was so cool!

We were picked up and dropped off from our requested locations and the price is very reasonable. The operators were friendly and relaxed and provided useful information about the walk.

The service could be improved by allowing extra time for the Minyon Grass section of the walk. This last section was incredible but we didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy the experience because of the pick up time.

Excellent service, recommended I was late for a pickup and Vision Tours organized another pickup on the same day.
I highly recommend the great customer service.

Plataplus walk a must do A beautiful park to wonder through searching the creek for plataplus we did see one swimming and a lot of ripples but they were to well camouflaged for us to sight them. Lots of water dragon's ducks and birds. Also a gorgeous display of water lily flowers. Wendy supplied a delicious picnic breakfast and lots of details we were not aware of about plataplus. Can't wait to do another walk with vision tours

Vision provided a very handy shuttle bus to drop off and pick up from the Gidjumm Gulganyi walk. Bookings were easy made and email exchange informative and responsive.
Mullumbimby was a great spot to leave the car as travel distance was short and its a fun town to have breakfast before and lunch after.
All these conveniences made for a smooth and fun walking adventure. Thank you!

My only criticism is that there was only just enough time for us to do the extra 6 km to the base of Minyon Falls - arguably one of the most spectacular and worthwhile portions of the hike. It would have been nice to have another half an hour to an hour to finish this section of the walk at a more leisurely pace, especially after four days on the trail.

All in all though, I definitely recommend using Vision Walks if you'd like to walk the Gijuum Gulganyi trail but you're not from the area / don't have a car.

It’s hard to describe just how great the Gidjuum Gulganyi 4 day guided walk was. I’ve just finished an incredible 3 night, 4 day walk. You need only carry a day pack each day. Water, lunch, and a towel if you want to have a swim in one of the water pools.

Amazing scenery and comfortable glamping style accommodation each night.

A massive thank you to our guide Tom, whose friendly nature and obvious love of his job made the trek all the more special.

Koalas!!! We did the guaranteed to see a Koala trip . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and it did what it said on the tin, we saw Koalas about a dozen of them!
Worth every penny (cent) and a great way to spend a morning.

Had such an amazing time with Wendy on the koala tour. Saw 15 koalas including a baby! Could recommend this company more. Great knowledge of local wildlife and super friendly.

We went with Tom on the wildlife tour and saw a pademelon, 6 koalas and a bunch of eastern grey kangaroos and red neck wallabies. Also saw dozens of bird species, specially easy with Tom who knows a lot about birds and their calls!

It was a great day and Tom was a great guide, we definately recommend.

Excellent tour The experience was amazing, love the walk through rainforest, staff were all very professional and had a lot of knowledge regarding the crystals, certainly worth the time and price was very reasonable. Not having our own transport eco tours picked us up and returned us to our accommodation. Very enjoyable day out.

It was a wonderful tour in different places. The very experienced guide explained a lot and answered all our questions. The tour was not only a complete success because we saw the koalas and kangaroos etc., but also because everything else was just right. We were picked up from our accommodation and there was also a cosy picnic. Highly recommended.

This is a local business operated by a lady called Wendy. We highly recommend taking a tour with them. I did a tour with my 5 year old daughter (the Platypus walk). It was easy, accessible, and a perfect mother and daughter activity. Wonderful people, great local knowledge and customer service. I will definitely do more tours with them on the future if we are in Byron Bay again.

Our family had a great experience on our wildlife trip with Wendy. She’s very knowledgeable and also a lot of fun to be with. We saw a variety of different animals and birds, in very different settings. The highlight was definitely seeing so many cute koalas, including a mother and her joey. Thanks for a lovely day out.

Wendy is awesome and so are her tours. We had a great time finding 15 koalas .. yes 15. Including Mom and Joey. So fun, awe-inspiring. Delicious coffee and cookies for snack break. Loooads of interesting info about koalas and honestly many other things like coffee and produce and Australia in general, as a scientist Wendy is a wealth of knowledge.

Brilliant adventure in Byron Bay’s Hinterland This was a brilliant way for a pair of Canadians to see exotic Australian wildlife in their natural habitat without bothering them. Wendy knows all the nooks and crannies, finding us excellent spots to see flying foxes, pademelons, koalas (lots of koalas!), kangaroos, wallabies, and more. And we got really great sightings! Wendy is very knowledgable and provided us with lots of information about the animals, their habitats, and the natural history of the region (and all Australia). She was personable, flexible, and very client oriented. She pulled out all the stops so we all had a wonderful experience.

The icing on the cake: she has invested in tree planting so that the carbon footprint of her business is a net positive to the world! And the trees help provide koalas with an enhanced habitat!

This adventure was 100% worth every penny! We couldn’t recommend Wendy and her business high enough.

Amazing and interesting The tour was amazing and our guide very polite and funny, with a wide knowledge in theme of wildlife and environmental issues.
We spotted koalas on eucaliptus, some kangaroos and wallabi, bats and birds. We had a very nice pic nic (also for vegan vegetarian and gluten free).

So many koalas! We did the koala tour with Wendy and it was absolutely amazing. We saw 13 koalas and it surpassed all my expectations. We saw them up close and got some great photos, Wendy was willing to share some of her photos with us too. This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Amazing experience!! Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see some amazing native Australian wildlife in their natural habitats, absolutely no cages involved!! Wendy, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and gave us lots of information! She also took some really high quality photos of the animals we saw on the day - check out their Instagram to see some examples! The lunchtime picnic was really tasty too and a lovely addition. Can't recommend Vision Walks Eco Tours highly enough. I use this service to get to the Crystal Castle each year. You are picked up form your accommodation and dropped back to your accommodation at the end of the day. I try and do a full day tour when possible. Always friendly and accommodating, Wendy is a great tour guide and host. Highly Recommended.

Always a wonderful experience I use this shuttle service to get to the Crystal Castle every year. Being picked up at your hotel is wonderful. Wendy is very accommodating and a wonderful host. The trip is always comfortable and Wendy can let you know of other things in the Byron area if you need to know something in particular. The Crystal Castle itself has changed a lot with different offerings over the last 5 years but always a restful experience. Great tour to see animals in their natural habitats! Tom was an amazing tour guide and took me and the other participants to all the places described in the tour. We were so lucky and got to see kangaroos, wallabys, pademelons, 9! Koala bears, loads of birds and to end the tour, we stopped and watched flying foxes. He told us everything about the animals and wildlife in the byron bay hinterlands and prepared a great picknick lunch for us as well. Would absolutely do it again. Thanks for the great experience!

Relaxing peaceful day We had such a good day! From the get go Wendy who picked us up was great, she was very informative and very friendly and we had a great laugh on the way to and from the crystal castle. The whole day was really fun and relaxing, we managed to do all of the walks and activities in the time we got as well as do a little bit of shopping at the end. I even managed to get the boyfriend to try the meditation classes although he has never been keen or tried one before and he enjoyed them too. Would recommend this trip! We got picked up right outside our hostel and dropped off where we wanted on the way back too. Another thank you to Wendy for the trip. We really enjoyed it!

Brilliant Wildlife Tour Amazing Experience! This tour exceeded expectations. Our guide, Wendy, was super friendly and knowledgeable about all things Australian Wildlife. We saw a Pademelon which was unexpected, around 10 Koalas, plenty of Kangaroos, a colony of flying fox and many different birds, all in natural environments. The picnic lunch was delicious and was easy to bond as a small group. If you are in Byron and want to explore some of the Northern Rivers region and see some wildlife in nature definitely do this tour!

5 stars! This is my second tour by VisionTours, and I just have to give another 5 stars ????.
Our guide, Wendy, took us to all the local stops where we were able to see all sorts of Australia's wildlife.
We started off by seeing a colony of flying foxes and also stumbled upon a carpet python!
Our next stop was a boardwalk in a rainforest to see pademelons. Although we couldn't see them by eye, Wendy let us use her thermal monocular and we managed to spot them, along with a few birds by eye.
We proceeded to go see koalas in the wild, and were lucky enough to see them while they were awake and hungry.
The picnic lunch was provided by our guide, and there was a lovely selection of all sorts of foods.
We finished off the tour with some kangaroo and wallaby spotting and managed to see quite a few.
Overall, I was incredibly chuffed with this tour and will definitely book again with the same guide.

My husband and I had a fantastic half-day excursion seeing koalas in the wild with Wendy and Vision Walks Eco Tours. Wendy was such a knowledgeable guide and we really appreciated not only all of the information she shared about koalas and the area but also her clear commitment to sustainable tourism, conservation, and regenerative practices in general. We must've seen nearly 12 koalas in the trees (including a mother and joey!) and it was such a special experience. Highly recommend going on a tour with Vision Walks if you visit the area!

We had the pleasure of having Tom as our guide for the day. Tom was absolutely amazing! His knowledge was very impressive, which added so much to the overall experience. We were lucky to get to see koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, flying foxes etc. And learned alot about all the different species and their habitats. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The organisation of the tours was very professional, with pickups, delicious lunch and keeping us informed along the way.

Not quite as expected Very rickety, old, bumpy mini bus with ineffective air conditioning. Lots of driving around. Disappointing number of animals seen overall. Seeing Koalas in their natural habitat on the homestead was good. Picnic lunch was very nice.

Great tour I can recommend this unique and personal tour. I learned a lot of new things and had great fun discovering nature and animals, especially the enchanting Kolas.

A fantastic experience all round We booked a last minute private tour to see Koalas in the wild. Wendy kindly managed to juggle existing commitments to link us with Tom. Our trip started with a drive for about hour to a place called Koala Gardens where Katrina told us more about the Koala. Tom then took us out to look for them in the area. Unfortunately, they were not wanting to be seen that day and the two we did notice were too high in the trees.
So Tom put Plan B into place and drove us to another location where we ended up seeing 7 close by. We could almost reach out and touch them.
This trip was great because all efforts were made to ensure we had a great experience but at the same time mindful about the welfare of the animals. Would definitely recommend Vision Walks to anyone wanting an authentic and sympathetic tour of wildlife. Thanks to Wendy and Tom

Byron Bay Wildlife Experience Our tour through the wilderness outside of Byron Bay with Wendy was one of the highlights of our trip. She is an amazing guide and delivered on all of the promised animal sightings. And the lunch was fantastic. We highly recommend the excursion.

Fantastic experience was had by the 3 of us at Crystal Palace and Shambhala Gardens. Wendy from Eco Tours was very informative and helpful about the local area, and the main features of this wonderful place. Everyone should make the effort to visit and experience these amazing gardens and crystals.

A wonderland to experience! Our tour and visit to the Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens was terrific. The only day we had available to go was not on the list of regular tours, but after ringing Eco Tours, Wendy organised it. She was very informative about the local area, environment and explained the main features of the site before leaving us to explore. We all had a great experience! Crystal Castle I have a great experience with Wendy and the Crystal Castle Shuttle. She contacted me to pick me up at my place once I arrived in Byron Bay , because the app is not giving that option. That was so great! And, the way to the Crystal Castle is so beautiful, she explained when we arrived all the activities and areas to visit there. Later, everyone had the time to explore, and she went to pick up the group very punctual at 4:30pm. Really amazing experience for starting my birthday celebration. So happy! Highly recommended!

Well worth the time The guide was knowledgeable and was very good about getting us positioned to see the most possible. Nice that the animals were in their native habitat. Got to see wallabies, koalas, kangaroos and bats. Bag lunch was surprisingly good. He sent us a link with his photos from his high powered camera which were great!

Happy customers When Wendy picked us up, she asked me if I get sick when travelling and when I answered in the affirmative, she put me on the front seat. She even apologised to the whole group because she was late in picking us up but she was not that late, maybe not even 5 minutes late.
Once we got to the place, she got us our tickets and gave us on overview of the area which is helpful in planning how to go around this huge place.
