Want to see Sydney Harbour? Want to try sailing? Want to do it on a unique classic sailing yacht? This is your opportunity to sail on the iconic Sydney harbour on a stunning classic yacht. (starts from Barangaroo)

Southwinds is a stunning classic sailing yacht designed and built in Sydney. This 2.5 hour experience from Barangaroo can be hands on, an entry to see if you like sailing larger yachts, or a laid back sail in the beautiful Sydney Harbour. 

Do as much or as little as you would like. No experience is necessary. 

* We will meet at Rowntree’s Wharf in Barangaroo and travel by powerboat to Southwinds waiting nearby in the bay. Return to Rowntree’s Wharf by powerboat. Please note, there are a few steps up / down from powerboat to Southwinds.

* This is a small group experience. Maximum 12 onboard

* If you are onboard for the leisurely cruise, you might want to BYO drinks and snacks to enjoy while you are out.

  • 2.5 hour experience from Rowntree’s wharf, Nawi Cove

Important Information

 

Scheduling: Please arrive in sufficient time to park the car and to be ready for the start of the scheduled session time (plan to arrive ~10 mins early)

Waiver: Each participant will be required to complete a waiver before participating in a course/experience. This can be done online or at the office.

Location: Meet at Rowntree’s Wharf in Nawi Cove (water taxis pontoon) just north of Crown resort. Tender will be waiting to take you the short ride to Southwinds.

Food/waterPlease bring water with you. Snacks and drinks (with moderation also permitted).

Footwear: Soled shoes to provide protection for feet from sharp objects. Hard soled shoes not permitted and you will be asked to remove them.

Hat: A secure hat that can be tied on is recommended. 

Clothing: Loose fitting casual clothes/active wear which will allow you to move around the boat easily. A long sleeve T-Shirt or top for sun protection.

Warm Top:  such as an old polar fleece, or a light wind jacket is advised to add that extra layer if it’s chilly.

PFD (Personal Floatation Device) – we have life jackets for all participants. Young children must wear, adults can choose to wear if desired.

Sun cream: Participants should bring and use sun cream, preferably Zinc or at least factor 30+. 

Dry clothes:  Participants may get wet during the session so a set of dry clothes for afterwards is advised.
