Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, a large water bottle, towel, some extra dry/warm clothes as this experience is approximately 6 hours.
Important: Please make sure you are at your pick-up location 15 minutes prior to the departure time! Because we operate depending on the ocean tides, we cannot wait for latecomers.
We provide some light snacks and water on tour but feel free to bring along your own snacks or something more filling.
The departure time in this email is the estimated departure time for your EPIC tour. Please note that we confirm the departure time with you 5 days before departure. We decide the departure time based on the best kayak, surf and wildlife conditions as well as the tide to access the pristine National Park along the beach.
On some rare occasions, we have to adjust the departure time the day before your tour due to weather or beach conditions. If this happens, we will contact you the day before your tour.
Please note: If the departure time in this email says 12am, that means the departure time hasn’t been estimated yet. We will get in touch with you 5 days before your tour departure to confirm your departure time. If you need an estimated departure time sooner, please reply to this email and we will help you out.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel tours right up to departure time if we deem changes in weather become too severe to run the tour safely.
Tour Departure Times: Departure times vary daily as a result of tide times to access Double Island Point along the Great Beach Drive. The departure time on this email is an estimated departure time. We will send you an email 5 days prior to departure to confirm your departure time. As our tours operate in a changing natural environment, Epic Ocean Adventures cannot guarantee a desired perfect wave quality and/or conditions and will always select the most suitable and safest location to operate on a daily basis.

Once in a lifetime experience! Amazing experience! Driving on the beach with J.B. was really cool and kayaking on the ocean with him and Kevin was fantastic. We were barely meters away from a whale!At the end we could enjoy a great sunset before driving back :)

The Double Island Point kayak tour led by the amazing Seb was brilliant. A Monday out of tourist season on the edge of spring is a great time to do it - beach almost all to ourselves, the big lagoon totally to ourselves. Like it used to be before everyone owned a 4WD. Comfortable bus, skilled driving, making some tricky soft sand crossings seem simple. With a child who has not kayaked before and is not a skilled swimmer we skipped the guiding ocean kayak part and instead we got dropped at the giant lagoon (hundreds of metres long and way over 2m deep) to kayak there, explore on our own, walk across to the surf, look for rays and fish. Like being on a deserted island. Where the lagoon meets the sea the moving water is crystal clear and great for swimming or floating. Amazing trip. If a Frazer Island day tour seem too long, this one is a similar experience at only 6 ish hours and from Noosa instead of Rainbow Beach which is so much simpler. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time with Epic Ocean Adventures kayaking along the coast. Vince and Janik were excellent guides, both really helpful, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the area.
The wildlife was a real highlight. We saw a white-bellied sea eagle, an osprey, and best of all, a whole pod of dolphins milling up and down the coast while we were out on the kayaks. It was an amazing experience being that close to them from the water.
A great tour, beautiful scenery and a really enjoyable day out. Huge thanks to Vince and Janik for making it such a memorable experience. Highly recommended.

I was drawn by the chance to see amazing ocean animals at a low impact to their well being and the environment.
The tour guides Vince and JB were so excited about the animals that we saw which was infectious. Vince’s knowledge of local birds was incredible.
We were lucky enough to see several pods of dolphins and be within metres of two passing humpbacks.

We booked the surfing session. The AWD tour to the spot was a very pleasant bonus adventure. The surf instructur had a very smart approach helping the total beginners to get on the board an catching a wave. I am very thankful for him because my family (wife &2 kids) are now excited about surfing - a life changing experience.

Had an absolute blast with Epic Ocean Adventures!
We did the Epic Dolphin Kayak and 4x4 beach ride tour.
It was our 1st time sitting on a 4x4 bus going across the beach!
Getting to see wild dolphins and whales up close was an unforgettable experience.
A massive shoutout to Tyron and Allie, they were incredible hosts, super welcoming, knowledgeable, and hospitable throughout the entire trip. They made sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and had the best chance of spotting wildlife.
If you're looking for an unforgettable ocean safari, this is hands-down the tour to book. Highly recommended!

Absolutely EPIC! like the name. My mate and I just joined the tour from Noosa to Double Island Point. It was incredible. Pick-up was on time and clear instructions given. The tour ran very smooth. Kevin our driver and guide was very informative and funny. Kevin pointed out wildlife and gave us loads of information about the National Park and its flora and fauna. He was more than happy to answer our silly questions 😜. We didn't join the kayak tour, instead we did the walking track to Lighthouse. We saw lots of whales. We were lucky to see a whale mother and her baby and a large pod of dolphins, roaming close to the cliff. We recommend visitors join this tour when

Absolutely epic kayaking adventure! Ben was great, we had a nice drive along the beach, and he told us about the history of the area. My wife wasn't sure about ocean kayaking, however the kayaks are tandem (2 person) kayaks, that and the wetsuits eased her mind. We were lucky enough to see a number of dolphins fairly close to our kayak, along with a loggerhead turtle! Definitely recommend these guys and the tour. We had a great time!read moreread less

I had an incredible kayak trip with JB and Kevin. Kevin was knowledgeable, kind, and an amazing spotter — he got us in position to see multiple whales up close from the kayak, plus several pods of dolphins, turtles, and birds including sea eagles. The whales were the absolute highlight: we could hear them breathing, and it was truly spectacular. I’ve seen whales many times before, but never this close and never in such a serene, peaceful setting. Highly recommend!! Note: this is open water kayaking where you encounter swells so I would take seasickness medicine and be ready to get a workout :)

I had a great time on the dolphin / whale kayak at Double Island Point. The guide Kevin was excellent with his narration during the drive up from Noosa, spotting wildlife, and kayak guiding.
We saw dolphins and whales while kayaking and Kevin was extremely patient to wait for the whales to get closer and not being rigidly fixed to the schedule to get us back to shore and driving back to Noosa. All together we kayaked for a little over 90 minutes in the ocean.
Kayaks and paddles were in good condition and the outfitter does a good job making sure the van is clean and comfortable. Kevin also had a great music playlist and I Shazam’d a couple of the songs.
The only thing is I wish there was an option for solo travelers to use a single kayak. But if you’re in an odd numbered party, you will need to kayak with someone else in a double.
The waves can be strong as it is open ocean. Additionally if you’re prone to sea sickness consider taking medicine as there was one person on the trip who vomited in the ocean.

What an amazing day with an awesome guide Seb (with the long hair)! Sadly we didn’t manage to see any whales but we did manage to see a pod of dolphins and some turtles. Thank you again Vince for a wonderful day out! Vince was an expert instructor and guide who shared vast amounts of knowledge with kindness and enthusiasm. Although we didnt see any whales we enjoyed every minute and that was completely down to Vince and his expertise. Simultaneously (somehow) he was entertaining us with stories and teachings of the eco systems, land and sea, whilst managing the group with the mastery of a world champion sheep herder. True class. 👍

We enjoyed the hour long drive along the sandy beach and the open sea kayaking. Our guides, Vincent and Kevin did a great job of looking after everybody and we managed to catch sight of some dolphins! Highly recommended!

Had such a great day trip to double island point with Epic Ocean Adventures. Our guide Vince was a legend, keeping spirits high despite an exhausting day. I wasn't able to do the kayaking due to poor fitness, but he gave me heaps of tips of wildlife spotting from the shore and inner lagoons. 4wd on the great sandy national park was a very cool experience, as was being on the vast pristine honeymoon bay area. The participants who did do the kayak experience reported seeing dolphins and mantas, would recommend if you're able to kayak 6kms.

We loved our day out with Vince. The pick up was easy, Vince had lots of great stories and information to share, and we had an awesome time on drive and the kayaks. Importantly we felt like we were in very safe hands, doing an adventure activity we wouldn't have felt comfortable doing alone.
My only advice would be to eat before hand and ensure you take a hat you don't mind getting wet.

My partner and I booked a paddleboarding adventure to Double Island Point and it did not disappoint! Our guides, Kevin and Seb, were fantastic and fun. The drive along the beach was a blast and we learned a lot about the area and wildlife. Once we were situated at Double Island Point, out came the paddleboards and we had a blast. Seb showed us lots of crabs, rays, and birds. We had a 1230 booking which meant we also just caught the sun setting, which was really the cherry on top. I can 💯 see myself coming back during whale season to kayak!

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Epic Ocean Adventures on our trip to Double Island Point. Absolutely Epic! Kevin was great at teaching us how to use the kayak as we had never used one before. He spoke to us about the wildlife and showed us the monitors and there were some eagles as well. We went on the water and he told some traditional lore about rainbow beach. We saw a pod of dolphins surfing the waves and that was awesome! The bus was really tall and took the beach really well. Overall it was a great trip and would 100% recommend to anyone fit and wanting an informative and safe adventure

We had a truly epic day at the Great Sandy National Park with Vince as our guide. This was a private tour with both surfboards and kayaks, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip to Noosa, and honestly, Australia.
Vince is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the nature, wildlife, geology, and cultural history of the area, and he is also just a genuinely kind and lovely person to spend the day with. Fantastic experience today with Kevin during the Kayaking tour. He was friendly, knowledgeable of the local area, set out the plan well so that we knew what to expect, and then we were also able to explore some areas that even he hadn’t been able to access before due to the high tide. The way to get to the spot offers great views of the colour changing dunes, it's good to see a longer part of them. We saw several dolphins, not very close, several times. Disappointing This tour was a disappointment. The 4x4 trip is over promised (ie an old, stuffy van driving along a beach, just like all the other cars on the beach). The kayak spot is on the open ocean, you kayak out and return back. Seems like a low chance there would be any sea life. If you really want to see dolphins, take a jet boat tour that can find a pod and drive nearer to it.read moreread less

Our tours are designed as low-impact, small-group adventures in a remote national park, using custom-built 4WD vehicles to access areas you simply can’t reach on sealed roads. Beach driving at Double Island Point is a unique experience in itself, which most people really enjoy.
Our ocean kayaking takes place in the open ocean, which is exactly where dolphins, turtles and whales naturally live. We don’t chase wildlife or use engines — instead, we operate quietly and respectfully. As a result, we see dolphins on around 80% of our kayak tours, often swimming alongside or beneath the kayaks, with whales regularly spotted during whale season.
We understand this style of experience isn’t for everyone. Guests looking for fast boats or guaranteed close encounters may prefer a motorised option, while those wanting a more ethical, nature-based experience tend to absolutely love what we do.

The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. I think we were on the tour for around 6 hours but only apx 45 mins of that was actually in the kayaks. I honestly thought after all that driving we would be out there for longer to give more opportunities to find the dolphins. Weather was not great the day we went, we were given the option to cancel, we did go ahead with the tour and unfortunately we did not see any sea animals at all, but did see a kangaroo, some birds and a fox. Light refreshments were chips and Timtams.

The dolphin kayak was incredible. We saw so many dolphins, a manta ray and a turtle as well as tons of soldier crabs, some sea eagles and a monitor lizard. The whole day was one big adventure and our guides were super lovely too.
