Bombed out. Great day for a little boat ride, the tour guide did his best to tell the history of the bombing from the boat, you had to visualise what he was saying as there was nothing to see except water and the shore line. The highlight was the Air Doctors museum, your tour ticket give you free access, this was great as it not only tells you the history of the Air Doctor but the bombing of Darwin in 3D both in a theatre and with 3D googles on. Would I recommend it, no but I’d recommend the museum highly.

We went on an absolutely amazing turtle tour with Sea Darwin-Sea Tiwi. One of the best wildlife experiences I have ever had and can't recommend enough. A really special place and experience, it was an honour to see the turtle mums laying their eggs and a few little hatchlings that hadn't made it out with their siblings, the beautiful bare sand and stars as we waited for them to come out of the water.
The process around not disturbing the turtles as much as possible was fantastic and the meal on board was healthy and delicious.
Apart from this we were absolutely humbled by how amazing and lovely the crew were. I was quite pregnant on the trip and would have understood if they declined to take me (particularly given how limited these spots are), instead they went to an extraordinary effort to accommodate me, including changing boats, and were so lovely about it. I felt quite embarrassed to have caused such effort but extremely grateful. The trip was an absolutely sensational experience and so grateful to have been able to go and experience such a special part of the world. Thank you very, very much to everyone involved.

Our group enjoyed the Fish and Chips Sunset Cruise!! Fish and Chips were nice and fresh, drinks cold and staff friendly. We would have liked it to be more informative. The staff obviously know all the information, as they were talking to different people and ourselves if we asked questions, but if they were announcing something it was very hard to hear. A suggestion of having a microphone so there could be a running commentary of the areas we were seeing, and that way everyone could hear too. Thank you we enjoyed ourselves

A 'Bucket List' tick item! Had a great time cruising the Darwin harbour! The sunset was magnificient! Fish n chips were crunchy and delicious plus we got a free drink at the beginning of the cruise. [You get to keep the stubby cooler/cup]. Our guide was lovely and very informative. It was a very smooth and gentle ride around to Cullen Bay. We got a speed ride on the way back to port super fun! The tour could be improved if staff had a mike, so we could all hear what was being said. [I'm sure she had to repeat herself constantly.]

Darwin Bombing 19 February 1942 - As It Happened! it happened. Great tour and historical information in sequence as it happened to better understand this very significant event in Australia's history. Stories of brave and courageous people. Hearing about these stories and events from the boat in the harbour and looking to the sites along the coastline really had an impact, especially visiting the USS Peary site. Ww2 tour We enjoyed this tour. It gave a good overview of ww2 and the bombing of Darwin. The cruise of the harbour was good and very informative. You could adjust your walking if needed. The bus was a bit warm but it was a very warm day. I learnt a lot and would recommend to visitors to Darwin.

We attended 2 tours with Sea Darwin in August; Bombing of Darwin tour and Turtle Tracks.
The Bombing of Darwin tour was fab, very informative and engaging! Betty took us around in the new bus, I think she was more excited than us! Great tour and great guide.
Turtle tracks tour - I think this is the best tour I've ever been on. Our guides were brilliant, so knowledgeable and respectful of all the wildlife. We saw about 40 tiny turtles emerging from their nest, a beautiful thing to witness! Because it wasn't dark enough to release them, they were put in a canvas bag and given to my partner for safe keeping and warmth! So sweet. We then saw a mama turtle dig a nest and lay her eggs.
Releasing the babies under the milky way was an experience I'll never forget.
The boat ride back included food and drinks, which were lush!
We'd highly recommend Sea Darwin for their tours, and if we're ever in the Top End again, we'll be sure to book another 😊

Disappointed as I was really looking forward to going! Big swell - 1 passenger couldn’t even get on because of it!One of the girls said this was the biggest swell they’d had as we were boarding

We do our best to seat everyone so they are together with their travelling companions, and we usually find the front and the back seats are equally user-friendly. Yesterday evening we ventured with Sea Darwin out to Bare Sand Island for the turtle nesting. From the moment we stepped aboard the crew was amazing and never stopped looking after the passengers, with insights, general chat and ensuring everyone was comfortable and enjoying the trip.
Once on the island, our minds were blown! We lost count of how many turtles we saw wandering up to the dunes to lay their eggs. The knowledgeable team were very respectful of the turtles and ensured we all stayed out of sight of the turtles, while we witnessed every step - from digging the nest and then the the egg chamber, laying the eggs, re-covering the nest with sand and heading back into the water to swim off into the sunset. It was amazing and the knowledge of the team was next level. We learnt so much and can’t recommend this trip enough…. Oh and did I mention the meal and drinks that were served, absolutely delicious. Thank you Sea Darwin for a fantastic evening

Fantastic way to end the day in Darwin! Fantastic way to end the day in Darwin. From the moment we touched base with the staff we were treated as guests & taken care of.
The fish n chips were great & super fresh. The highlight for me was to see some of Darwin Harbour & learn just a little about this fascinating place. Staff were simply 10/10. We could not be happier. Initially I thought the cruise a bit expensive but by the time we disembarked, I felt we certainly got our moneys worth.
I highly recommend taking this cruise or any other this becomes provides. Knowledgeable, friendly, informative & fun.

I did the half day WW2 by Land and Sea tour with my teenage son. This was an excellent tour and one of our best experiences in Darwin. The tour goes to key sites from the boming of Darwin including a harbour cruise. A visit to the Darwin Military Museum was included - this was one of the best museums I've ever been to for its size and I want to go back for a longer visit. Highly recommended if you have a free half day in Darwin.

Informative and enjoyable Enjoyable and informative cruise about the bombing of Darwin. A little disappointing as didn’t get to see the sunken wreck -sonar not working. RFDS had a great 3D VR on the Darwin bombing and also a hologram of Dr John Flynn on the history of RFDS. Great display inside with a Japanese bomber and also the flying ambulance that you can climb into .

What an experience. The Turtle Tracks tour was outstanding. After a 1hr45min fast boat ride we arrived at Bare Sand island. We were able to hold some turtle hatchlings which we got to release into the ocean once the moon was high enough. After a barefoot walk along the beach we started to see a couple of turtles begin their trek up from the water to a nesting spot. Amazingly we were able to get up close and personal and watch this amazing mama lay her eggs and then cover them over. Such a humbling experience. Our guides on the beach were a wealth of information being marine biologists. They obviously knew their stuff. The boat ride back included an amazing bento box dinner and a drink or two. The tour is very well run from pick up by Phil, who made everyone feel relaxed and welcome with his easy and friendly approach and also provided an impressive history from the land perspective, to the boat crew, Kerry and Dave who gave an interesting perspective of the sea approach and a great view of Darwin from the sea. This all round tour gave me a real visual of how it all happened and what led up to the bombing. Along with the visit to the War Museum, (well worth it), and other sites of interest I thought it was a fantastic overview and insight into a part of Australian history many of us know little about.
