- This hands-on cooking with Australian Ingredients lasts for two and half hours
- Enjoy a complimentary refresher drink on arrival
- Demonstration and learn how to prepare favourite Australia produce
- You are required to work with one another in the class.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Cooking With Australian Ingredients is a perfect cooking class for your Christmas Party, Birthday party, Anniversary, Hens Party, Bucks Party, Team Building Cooking, Work lunch and dinner or Corporate event. Speak to us, so we can work out whether your venue is suitable. Travel costs and charges may apply.
- We can cater to different dietary requirements – please let us know by email hello@otaoktichen.com.au
- For rescheduling made more than 14 days prior to the event, there is no charge to change to your new date. After the first date change, there will be $49pp per date change. For rescheduling made within 14 days prior to the event, we can only accept that you are being sick with a medical certificate, and we will still charge $49 for administration fee.
- No refund or reschedule will take effect (1) if you fail to arrive at the venue at the time stipulated, (2) if you voluntarily leave your class after it has commenced, (3) if you need to leave the event for reasons of bereavement, injury or illness. Travel insurance and medical insurance are therefore strongly recommended.
- In the event that you are unwell, we ask that you send someone in your place. The participants who are not unwell will still be expected to attend.
- Lateness: please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. We cannot accommodate or refund for those who arrive after the scheduled start time, even if you call ahead. The instructor will be expected to start on time and will not be able to repeat the health and safety and/or demonstrations at the beginning of the class.

Fresh damper with a cream/goat cheese and native pesto dip, kingfish marinated in native herbs and spices and tender kangaroo loin with assorted veggies, very appetising and delicious. You’re in for a treat!

The class was amazing, everything that we cooked was super tasty and we learnt a lot of new ingredients. Our Chef knew a lot of the Australian ingredients and he was very friendly recommending where to get those ingredients. I will recommend this class to my friends, it was fun!

Great venue Great presenter Beautiful food . We are now much more confident at using bush food in our dishes! We only needed to take ourselves. Thank you for a most enjoyable afternoon. A glass of wine and no cleaning up!

The overall experience was great! The teachers were very helpful and informative. The recipe was really innovative and made great use of Australian native ingredients. I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back!

We made sushi, miso soup, okonomiyaki, and soba with tempura. Each dish was hands-on, and I loved that Dylan taught tips and techniques you wouldn’t normally get from a recipe. My favourite part was learning how to roll sushi properly — it was surprisingly beginner-friendly with his guidance.
The class also included free drinks, and I really enjoyed the wine.
Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend Chef Dylan’s class to anyone wanting to learn Japanese cooking in a fun, relaxed, and welcoming environment.
Dillian was a great teacher who was engaging and didnt overwhelmed the class with too many directions at one time.
Even when our ramen noodle dough went a bit south he swooped in to help us out and encouraged us until we saved it.
Thanks again. Will be back!
The only constructive feedback / improvements worth to look at is that every student should have their own dedicated board when hand made their own pasta or pasties. At the moment all these are done on the cooking/dining table and we see it with possible hygiene issues. Hope to see this new change in our next classes, thanks

Had a great night learning to cook Japanese meals, the set up was fantastic and the class ran amazingly well, a lovely way to spend a friday night.
Anan was a great teacher and fun person to learn to cook from!

I could not fault it.
No one in our group had ever prepared dumplings the only experience we had was eating them in restaurants.
The chef was so thorough in his explanations, patient answering questions and helping novices correct technique.
We enjoyed the process and we were rewarded with a delicious lunch, washed down with our choice of wine or soft drink. Plus we were provide with containers to take home the remainder of the dumplings.

Anan was super generous with his time, you end up with a great amount of food to eat and take home as well
The facilities were clean and well set out. We had all the equipment needed to carry out the preparation and cooking of the meals. The drinks provided certainly helped to create a very relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. And, to finish things off, we were able to enjoy a very tasty dinner.
I can not recommend this experience highly enough. We would be more than happy to partake in another one of these courses.

I felt it was rushed and because I was paired up with someone that they did the majority of the cooking.
For what I was looking for, I felt like the $200 price was not worth it.
This review is in no way a reflection of the chef that demonstrated the class, but only my experience.
Throughout it all Dylan attentively makes sure we are all across the assembly and cooking steps. I thoroughly recommend this for all, from new to seasoned cooking enthusiasts!!

The OTAO chopping knife is a handy souvenir I recommend you take home :-p
