Had a chance to dine in their Cafe, pairing the scones with latte was beautiful! Best of all, we were seated directly infront of the beautiful blue lake (wonderful view).

Visiting Maggie Beer was on my bucket list. I can tick it off now. Was lucky enough to see her in the flesh. We met some lovely people and shared some great food. Awesome, awesome

The nature is so beautiful, we sat by the window and had some delicious treats and a hot choccy! I am with my partner on our anniversary, and it’s just such a lovely place. The last time I went here was when I was young, I think I bought one of the ice creams and I met Maggie herself! A lovely lady. The staff were nice! And I got a quince paste to top it off. Always feels like stepping into home ♥️

Wonderful shop full of tasty things and great to sit outside for dining in Autumn. Lovely atmosphere with turtles, peacocks and people, and the is a short walk as well. Can get busy, but we arrived after 3 when people were leaving and had afternoon tea

Loved our time here. Came for a Quick Look. Stayed 3 hours. Friendly staff. Stunning outlook. Delicious platter for a light lunch. So much variety in products, wines, conserves, cheese and so much more. Book cooking classes etc in advance! Loved the aviary and the peacock feathers we found were a bonus 🩵

Lots of fun….unless you’re a bird Lovely views and staff. Non-alcoholic wine is a nice alternative, but on leaving we visited the birds in cages and they were baking in the 38 degree heat, some totally without water and minimal shade. It was very disappointing to see how well the tourists/$ side is cared for whilst the birds & animals are left to suffer.

It was nice to go there but I did some research and found that Maggie sold her final shares in the business a fair while ago. Credit to the staff who still talk about Maggie as if she is the operator and maker of all the products.
It’s a lovely lake and nice to walk around the property.
The wine tasting lady was very friendly but the other staff gave the feeling of a commercial venture, with not much passion for their job.

5 Course Lunch extravaganza We visited the farm today and sat down for an amazing 5 course lunch with wines. absolutely fantastic value for money. deffinately will be back on out next trip to S A .

Fun visit with great food This was great to visit. Would like to have done the cooking class but it was booked out. We had the best coffee and scones with jam and cream. Delicious. We all took photos in Maggie’s kitchen. Bought a few items in her shop. Rainy day so didn’t walk around the lake but did check out where birds were and peacocks walking around. A really fun visit.

Lovely way to spend a few hours Lovely way to spend half a day in this part of the world. Cooking demonstration was first rate and you get to sample all the cooked goodies. Followed by lunch in the restaurant where you choose an entree and main from the menu. Then took a leisurely stroll around the lake/farm before settling back down in the Farm shop for a wine tasting.

Such a lovely experience facilitated by a warm & welcoming team, delicious ingredients, atmosphere & recipes. I will definitely indulge again! Thank you

My only gripe was that once lunch time hit, the dining room spread into our area, with banter, laughter and noise overshadowing our experience. It made it hard to hear Linda for the second part of our long lunch cooking class.

Staff are lovely, atmosphere and environment is fantastic. There is an Avery with peacock, pea hen and other fowl which the kids will love. Maggie Beer’s kitchen is on display and as you’d expect, great food, coffee, wine and as many condiments as the eye can see. Winter time is the best as there’s a gorgeous fire and view of the stunning lake.

From the moment you arrive at the #thefarmeaterycookingschool you know you are in good hands. Lynda, Elli and their army of passionate team members expertly guide you through preparing three courses from scratch. Using local produce as far as possible and in utterly breathtaking surrounds. The day caters for all skill levels and is heaps of fun. Book for yourself - book as a gift - you will be so glad you did.

We did the indulgent experience and had a wonderful relaxed few hours at the farm. The cooking demonstration gave great insights into using the products and left us feeling part of the Maggie Beer experience. A great way to spend the day.

What an amazing day! We chose the indulgence package and it was more than we could have hoped for. Jacob was our cooking demonstrator. He was entertaining and knowledgeable. The samples of food were divine. Lunch at The Eatery was fantastic! The staff were lovely and accommodating. Wine tasting (again with Jacob) was pleasant, finished off with dessert from the demo. The farm shop had an extensive range and all well priced. Obligatory photo in The Cook and The Chef kitchen! A walk around the dam finished off our visit perfectly!

On arrival for our experience we felt very welcome and the staff are all awesome.
The cooking demonstration was very informative and tasted amazing.
The wine and gin tasting with Jacob was very enjoyable and we had so much fun.
The whole day was incredible and we can’t believe we actually got to spend time at the farm shop. This was one big tick off the bucket list. Thank you for an awesome day

My partner and I had a lovely day doing the Ultimate Experience. Started with Mary-Ann’s food demonstration which we ate with a wine tasting, then went for a short walk around the lake. This was followed by a gin tasting, and then a platter on the deck with a glass of wine. The experience seemed pretty good value for money. Service was pleasant and friendly. They were catering when I called up the morning of to add my partner to the experience.

Quality The tour is amazing, wine testing# food delicious. It’s a great experience and highly recommended to friends & family.

Lovely location within the farm. The shop with the cafe has a vast selection of food and wine products to select. Recommend going for a walk around the farm as there are peacocks and birds along the way.

Lovely time sharing the Ultimate experience e with my daughter. Cooking demo then wine tasting then gin tasting. Food from the demo and a platter and glass of wine after. All in a very relaxed well presented format. Lovely day. Lovely location.

The most wonderful experience we have had. The cooking demonstration by Kylie was fabulous and so is her personality. The food she made was delicious . The wine and gin tasting plus the food platter were all superb. Troy who looked us was fantastic and a great person. The atmosphere is really great. We walked around the lake and it was beautiful. What a beautiful place to visit. Went for my wife's birthday and had wine tasting, meat and cheeseboard. Lovely property and even lovelier staff. If we come back to South Australia we would love to visit again

Impressed, loved it. A great rustic country feel to the property. Just what I expected. The farm shop was packed full of goodies to take home, and we had tea and cake. A perfect morning. Drove 800 km to see it and waited many years to do so. Thankyou Maggie.

My family surprised me with a dream come true, Ultimate Farmshop Experience at the Pheasant Farm. One of the perks of turning 60. We were all overwhelmed with the special attention from Kylie and Troy. Plus ooh lah lah the food was delicious, freshly made. The wine tasting was a barrel of laughs, of course with a Maggie Beer twist of flavour combinations. I particularly loved the non alcoholic drinks, my pregnant daughter was blissfully enjoying the many varieties. After the wine tasting and before the cheese platter, we strolled around the dam, spotting turtles as we the many olive trees bursting with fruit, and the lemon trees, giant lemons. We bought so many scrumptious products we needed to have them shipped home to Brisbane. Extra special moment as we spotted a glimpse of Maggie as she was leaving ????.

We had an amazing time doing the Maggie Beer Indulgent Farm Shop Experience. The demonstration was interesting, the food was amazing, and the staff themselves were so attentive and knowledgeable. We are really glad we did this, as the variety of inclusions was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in trying the wonderful food South Australia has to offer

The staff couldn’t do enough to make our visit to the farm shop as enjoyable as possible. We had booked in to the wine tasting and the cooking demonstration and because we were the only people in the group, we were able to be flexible with the arrangements, giving us time to have coffee and something to eat first. The cheese scone was the best I have ever eaten!

We honestly had the best time visiting the farm shop. There are hundreds of products for sale, a cafe and amazing setting to sit and have a drink and/or food. The surroundings are beautiful and so tranquil. All of the food we tried was delicious and the quality of the ingredients was obvious. The staff were very friendly and helpful too! We had the platter and we threw on some pâté! To die for! Superb! Would definitely visit again. Great value for the quality you’re greeting. @kirbystaltari

A pleasant few hours We enjoyed a few hours of being immersed in good food! Starting with a cooking demonstration (nothing too complicated), followed by a wine tasting during which we also sampled food from the demonstration, then a gin tasting and finally a grazing board stocked with Maggie Beer products and a glass of wine. We also had a lovely stroll around the farm. A little pricey, but not ridiculous.

Amazing afternoon out! Wonderful food platters of cheese and pate with delicious bread and accompaniments. Something for the kids as well with a platter for them too.

A beautiful day out! Very informative and interactive cooking experience with delicious food and a lovely host. Enjoyed a beautiful cup of tea overlooking the dam afterwards as well. Really enjoyed watching the turtles do their thing!

Wonderful family entertainer. Maggie Beer's Farm shop is a real farm shop. There are few actual farms around the shop. Olive farm, pheasant farm, quince farm, and also farm of great food :). I love the lake in front of the shop and it is really picturesque. The new venue (The Farm Eatery) next to the farm shop offers a great range of food. Kids will be entertained with the pheasant and other wild bird farms. You can find gorgeous peacocks walking around the farm. He is the only bird not in the cage. I strongly recommend walking around the shop to see all the farms and birds around. Nice place to spend a peaceful few hours. The only thing I miss is that they used to offer lots of tasting experience in the farm shop, but it is no longer available since the pandemic. Hope they will bring it back sometime in the future.

We booked the indulgent experience as part of our honeymoon.
Today lived up to our expectations and more.
From being greeted by name at the counter to our cooking demonstration, wine tasting and of course our amazing lunch in the restaurant we could not have been happier or more impressed with our experience.
The ease of shopping in the farm store and having you ship it home to Newman in Western Australia was truly the icing on the cake.
We honestly both enjoyed our experience soo much and we have vowed to come back and try the cooking school.
We are going to take great pleasure in enjoying our goodies from the farm store and take pleasure in cooking from our book for friends and family.

Absolutely lovely! I only wish they had more food options on the menu to choose from. Very cute little store with beautiful views out the window. There is seating both outdoors and indoors. So fun to watch the turtles swimming in the pond. Ordered the cheese board, cheese scone, and a dirty chai. So wonderful!

Disappointing tourist trap. We expected more this was a stop on a Barossa day trip. It was nice to see the kitchen and hear the story of the filming there, but otherwise it is just a big gift shop and tourist trap. There was nothing we could purchase that appealed, or that we could bring back to Canada in our luggage.
The restaurant was off limits to our tour, I thought the docent might prepare an appy or something to taste after her kitchen talk, but we got nothing to eat, which was extremely disappointing considering where we were!
Nice grounds, but not worth a return visit.

Iconic Maggie is an Australian icon, much beloved in the culinary world and by the general public. Mt wife and I still enjoy watching the tv series "The Cook and the Chef" even though it's more than 10 years old. It was nice to see the kitchen where it was filmed. The Farm Shop was very busy, with people involved in cooking classes, gin tasting, wine tasting, eating delicious looking food and browsing the produce on sale. It's a shop at it's essence, and so it completely met my expectations. We were on a tour so didn't have time to stay and eat. Sadly, we just missed the icon, who had been in earlier signing cookbooks.

Worth doing if in the area Love Maggie Beer and her produce so decided to do the cooking experience and then we tasted the food that was cooked and went on to the wine and gin tasting as well as a grazing board lunch and a bottle of wine. Pretty good!

Did the wine tasting and cheese platter today as part of the great state voucher. It was fantastic. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The farm shop is beautiful. The variety on the cheese platter was great.The wines were lovely and we bought home some amazing goodies. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!!!

Tasting Boards to Die For After our deconstructed, cocktail making, gin tasting experience we moved into the farmhouse shop/deli/cafe area and enjoyed a delicious tasting board while overlooking the little lake. It was beautiful and very good value

No more tastings! Really disappointing! No more tastings of produce, food is very average, just 1 star for the lovely setting.

Really lovely place to visit, choose your own platter ingredients and choose from a variety of areas to relax and enjoy it and the scenery. Try the gin, buy some even???? grab a pair of gorgeous crystal glasses to drink it from when you get home. A huge variety of condiments and sauces from the famous Maggie's repertoire.

Amazing food.. warm salad was beautiful and crispy chicken cooked to perfection. Chef’s recommendation menu was sensational. Pricing reasonable too. 10/10!!

We had the cheese and meat platter and there were 3 of us. Everything was yummy! The meat platter consists of olives, pate, pepperoni, little gerkins, onion relish, the cheese platter had apricots, brie, tasty cheese, quince paste and pear relish. This came with 4 slices of lovely sourdough, no crackers. My only suggestion would be a little more bread and a little more meat. Please note, this was very filling and worth buying, just a personal preference ????
