I’m a little nervous but she put me at ease and on the most beautiful natured horse Clyde
Relaxing great scenery and something different
We followed this with lunch and wine tasting in the harvest kitchen
Highly recommend
An absolutely amazing experience
Special mention to Sophie for her amazing help in explaining the wines etc… it was a great experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the Barossa region 👏🏻👏🏻
The food smelled delicious but we did not partake, we were very happy with our tasting selection and a bonus wine from the limited release selection really topped off our afternoon.

If you sit outside near the restaurant you cant drink alcohol if you sit in jacobs creek you cant eat food. They did not have a high chair for the baby. And the service was slow. The place is good. But the over all experience is poor.
We also had lunch at the Harvest Kitchen restaurant, and the food was delicious. We started with a shared antipasto platter, which was full of fresh and flavorful ingredients. For our main course, I had the lamb shank, which was tender and flavorful. My wife had the steak, which she also enjoyed.
Unfortunately, we were not able to do a wine tasting as they were very busy. However, we were able to purchase a few bottles of wine to take home.
Overall, I had a great experience at Jacob's Creek winery. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing day out in the Barossa Valley. Make a reservation for a wine tasting, especially if you are visiting on a weekend.
The winery is open from 10am to 4.30pm daily. There is plenty of free parking available on site.
The area set up for the wine tasting was away from the public area so nice and quiet. Our host was very knowledgeable on the wines and the double barrel range. We tried 5 different versions, each better than the last and gave a new insight to the different blends, which has helped us make better choices at the local bottle shop when buying this brand.
An enjoyable couple of hours at a very reasonable price, just wish we had chosen the lunch option as it was a great day and a lunch with the wines would have rounded it off nicely.
Ordered the Beef pie. Please, if you are going to charge 18 dollars for a pie, serve in on a china plate, with proper cutlery.
We ate in the cafe, so to have the pie come out on a cardboard tray and sitting on a bed of fresh spinach with tomato sauce in a cardboard tub is insulting. The wooden knife and fork was the icing on the cake.
It also does not help the experience when the pie is not hot. (Perhaps the inedible cold spinach underneath the pie a contributing factor).
A request for an extra hot coffee which was Luke warm and weak certainly capped off this memorable experience.
If unable to give commitment to deliver an acceptable standard in the Cafe for service and food delivery, then perhaps for the winery’s best interest, it would be best to close it down.
This experience has ensured that we will never visit the Jacob’s Creek winery again.
The staff were really great and knowledgeable. Me and my husband were very much thankful to Olivia, she is very nice and incredibly welcoming. Thank you also to the manager and the staff at the front desk for the warm welcome.
Our host, Dru, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the wines and entertaining, making us feel welcome and relaxed throughout the afternoon. The wine tasting was enjoyable, and we were able to try a variety of delicious wines. We also appreciated having a choice of picnic items to enjoy.
The entire experience was well-paced and enjoyable, and we would definitely recommend it.
Thank you, Manalee and Jacob's Creek, for an unforgettable day. Cheers to good wine, great food, and unforgettable experiences!
Dru, Eva and the desk staff made our experience unforgettable.
Food delicious, wine exceptional and the place is wonderful.
Manalee was a great host, we loved her friendly professional service and knowledge.
She kept us engaged with her warm, genuine sense of humour! She is a real asset to this business.
But it didn't stop there. Even our friends from Sydney, who are also Asian Australians and speak perfect English, were treated rudely by Dru. Meanwhile, he showered white Anglo guests with smiles and kindness. It's sickening to witness such blatant discrimination in this day and age.
Not only was our lunch ruined by Dru's appalling behavior, but when we raised the issue with the manager, Pete, he dismissed our concerns with a feeble excuse about it being a "busy day." This is not just a matter of bad service; it's a matter of basic human decency. From my observation, Indian guests get the worst treatment.
Jacob's Creek, you need to do better. Address the racism within your staff ranks and create an environment that embraces diversity. We won't be returning until this is rectified, and we'll be spreading the word about our horrific experience to anyone who will listen. Shame on you.
As we arrived, we wanted to do some wine tasting but was politely told by a staff that online booking was required and today sessions were booked out.
We then headed to checkout the wines on display between the Cafe and entrance.
We were pleasantly greeted by the enchanting Emily. After a brief chat, she found out we were unable to have a tasting session. She kindly offered to let us try any wines we wanted. And we ended up tasting the double barrel matured Shiraz finish in VSOP barrel.
Full mark for Emily for terrific customer service. Please send her our regards.
Loved our tour to Jacob’s creek.
Thank you Manalee for giving us a great experience!
We dinned at the Wine Cafe and had the ‘Feed Me Eden’ experience - costing $59 per person…
From this menu we could choose options:
We went for the Torzi-MATTHEWS olives, fennel seed and chilli, followed by Chickpea hummus, hemp seed zaatar and sprouted chickpea, followed by Market Broccoli, Smoked White Bean and Olive Granola, then Gumshire Pork with Toasted Buckwheat and Pomegranate. Finally the Pezznati Zuchinni, Burnt Brown Onion and Quince Glaze.
The grounds were well presented, with options for seating in and out - a neat bar, tasting area and purchase options.
Not cheap, however service, food and presentation of both the food and dining areas were first class.
Highly recommended for a special occasion.
A couple of small things which if addressed/allowed would have made for a 5 star experience. First, we had a designated driver who we were told over the phone would be provided a complimentary non alcoholic beverage, this did not eventuate. Second, we wanted to order some desert from the harvest kitchen menu which we were told we could do only via the cafe counter, when we went to the counter we were told we could not order from the menu, the only dessert available at this time were a few remaining pastries.
Great experience at Jacobs Creek. Thank you Shannon for your time and the private gin tasting. The FIFA soccer area was still setup & I was able to kick a ball with another guest just spontaneously. They even have a vineyard display area where you can walk through grape varieties.
#JacobsCreekWines
Comprehensive information given about each of the wines tasted and all questions answered. Now believe that many in the UK, including me until now, underrate Australian wines. Perceptions need to be addressed
Excellent experience
Not pleased with Dru’s service in the beginning. I spilt my glass of wine as the table was wobbly and as my friend lent her elbow on the table the wine spilt all over the table and her. Dru bought over a tea towel which we were thankful for however it wasn’t enough and I asked if we could please have some paper towel or serviettes.. he proceeded to point at the tea towel which was already soaked through. I thought that was really rude and arrogant. I work in customer service and I wouldn’t have the attitude he had regarding an accidental spill. It happens. Also in future, paper towel soaks up liquid much easier than a tea towel.
I’d steer clear of this place. Very much a tourist trap. Smaller wineries close by have much better service and the staff to actually serve you.
Small platter box was not good value at all. A small cheese , too many dull crackers ,dried fruit and some odd tasting terrine ? had to search for utensils after it was given to us. Left hungry!
Witnessing staff asking new guests if they had a booking felt rude and unwelcoming I understand the need to book but surely the offer of enjoying a glass of wine and waiting for next available time is a better way to approach new arrivals !
The staff were experienced and knowledgeable and the wines were fabulous! My husband was the designated driver and he received a free glass of soft drink while I enjoyed my tasting. We also took the time to walk down the track to see the famous creek.
Such a beautiful setting and a wonderful experience.
