Very informative and excellent value This was an excellent, informative tour of the Ligurian Bee facility. We hadn't appreciated the complexity of making honey or how intelligent and diligent bees are! Anna was great in her explanations and answering our questions. Very enjoyable and thoroughly recommend. Very informative and well worth it Went to the Bee Factory today, learnt so much about bees and their circle of life that I didn't know. The tour guide we had, had lots of knowledge about bees. Well worth the price of admission.

Teenage words "it was interesting"... that says a lot! :-) Really interesting- our guide was super informative. I was not sure I really wanted to do the tour, but me and my whole party 3 adults 3 teenagers (!) were glad we did. :-)

Awesome experience This was so worth doing. So much information and very interesting. We got to taste all honey flavours and tour explained everything. Would have loved to have been able to buy a book on just the bees at Kangaroo Island that was the only thing I had to say wasn’t available but definitely a must do. Thank you

I had heard that some honey available in supermarkets had been adulterated with syrup and I wanted organic raw honey so I decided to purchase quality honey mainly for the medical benefits and immediately thought of the Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Company where the bees live in pristine conditions surrounded by Australian native plants and wildflowers.
My husband and I were not disappointed. It was packed extremely well and arrived within a few days from ordering.
The taste is divine and reminds us of our childhoods when we ate honey straight from the comb.
Later this year, I intend to purchase more for overseas friends and relatives.

The beekeeping tour was great! Peter (the owner) and Pieter were very knowledgeable and provided lots of information about the honey making process. You have an opportunity to see the bees at work as well! You can tell Peter is still very passionate about the business!! We had a great time visiting - the tour was very interesting and they have a live bee hive inside the shop! Our tour guide Hannah was very knowledgeable and passionate. The gift shop has a great selection of honey and bee themed items. PS the tour includes a tub of delicious honey ice cream. Definitely worth the visit

Awesome tour! Highly recommended. My husband and I got into the tour with very little expectations and we left with much more awareness of the importance of the bee for all of us as human beings.

Not all honey tastes the same. I normally like wildflower honey or black sage honey on toast with a little butter, or honey and some half-and-half in my coffee. But Some of the honey’s from kangaroo Island are amazing! My favorites have been the Pennington Bay and Port Lincoln Malley. Highly recommended!
The Cup Gum and Sahara are similar to each other, and very nice. I tried the Eucalyptus Remota and Yucca, and they are both good, with more bold, stronger flavors, and of the two I prefer the Yucca.

Bees and honey on KI Great little tour. Very interesting to hear the history of bees on Kangaroo Island and the impact the 2019 fires had on their habitat and honey production. The honey tadting was delicious. Would recommend this tour.

A really informative experience and good value This is a great little tour that allowed us to watch bees in action while the tour guide explained exactly what was going on in that hive of activity. She answered all our questions before moving us on through the various spaces in the centre that house the processes of honey extraction. We tasted 6 different honeys and were offered a free ice cream while we wandered through the well stocked shop.

One of the local businesses associated with the KI Bees & Honey production. A good spot to go if you are wanting a honey related product to take home (if visiting KI). Highly recommend sampling the honey icecream while there. Even have a hive behind glass you can observe bees in. Very friendly staff & super helpful if you have a question

My favourite place to get honey from, every time I visit Kangaroo Island it is a must to go there. Amazing honey selection & free samples to entice. Every visit I walk out with some Honey Mead, a couple of bottles of Sparkling Honey drink while eating some delicious Honey Icecream. If you're a local you know what I'm talking about, if you're a visitor put it on your list of things to do & don't miss out.

Been buying their honey for 2 years now and I don’t plan on stopping! Their honey varieties and Meade tastes amazing and it’s so easy to buy gifts for family and friends.
I’d love if you could make candles again! I loved all the shapes and designs. Maybe some big scented ones for rooms would be grand.

The greatest honey I’ve ever tasted! Peter is one of the world’s bee experts and gave us a fabulous tour of these amazing Ligurian bees. It was great to don the gear and experience a close up with the hives ( plus see a real queen bee). The honey tasting at the end was like a wine tasting - I’ll never buy honey from a supermarket again! A great experience!

Informative, interesting, educational and tasty! We visited the Bee Co as an extended family activity. Andrea was our tour guide and did an exceptional job in sharing her vast knowledge with us. The tour and display were both very interesting - we learnt so much about bees and how precious they are! The added bonus of a tasting and the honey icecream to finish the visit were great! 10/10 - well done to the team!

We did the factory tour with Andrea, it was interesting to learn about the history of bees and honey production at Kangaroo Island. The tour ends with a honey tasting and a token to try their honey ice cream ~ who knew there was a honey that tastes like blue cheese!

Island Beehive is a delightful spot offering a variety of pure Ligurian honey, with free tastings to find your favorite! The shop also has unique bee-themed gifts like mugs and socks. Friendly staff and a great selection make it a must-visit for honey lovers and souvenir hunters alike!

We went there after 3 pm and realised that their tours were closed. But we did some honest shopping and it was so worth while. The Eucalyptus remota is a must try, they give you to taste it!! It was our favourite honey. The price is high for that one, apparently it was made before kangaroo island fire. We ended up purchasing 3 honey bottles !

Great place to come with the family and kids to learn a bit more about the bees work and their amazing products.
